This was a good ending to a pretty hot series about former bad-boy bikers who work as undercover operatives for a secret government agency known as the Wild Riders. All of the Wild Riders had all previously been in trouble with the law at one time or another and were going nowhere fast (jail) until General Grange Lee (who runs the agency)turned their lives around by hand picking them to work on the right side of the law. This was the story of 29-year-old best buds AJ and Pax (no last names given?) who while on vacation from the WR decide to ride out on their bikes towards AJ's old stomping grounds in Missouri. AJ hasn't been back in the area since he left a bad home life, and the teenage love of his life, 10 years ago. When AJ and Pax decide to visit the town's popular biker bar, AJ is stunned to see that the beautiful raven haired bartender/owner who Pax is hitting on is none other than his old girlfriend, Teresa.Teresa can't believe that after all these years, she's finally come face-to-face with the guy who broke her young heart so long ago by leaving town without her. A lot has happened to Teresa in those 10 years, and she has some trust issues with men that she's still trying to work out. Teresa tries to play it cool but AJ is even hotter and sexier than he was years ago. And the blond haired, goateed, buff best friend he has traveling with! When her twin brother Joey and his peace loving biker gang (the Thorns) are involved in a dispute with rival, drug-dealing gang "the Fists" in Teresa's bar, blood is spilled, Joey is accused of murder, and only Teresa has witnessed the crime. Joey didn't do it, and Teresa will do anything to prove it and clear her brother's name. The police are getting nowhere finding the killer that only Teresa can describe, and Joey still remains the prime suspect. Since the suspect and the Fists have mysteriously disappeared, it dawns on Teresa that they may be at a well-known biker rally in South Dakota, and she's determined to head up there and find him. AJ and Pax decide to help her and go along, and if something develops between AJ and Teresa, or Pax and Teresa, or AJ, Teresa, and Pax...they'll just keep it simple, and have a good time. Will Teresa, AJ, and Pax be able to find the elusive suspect and clear Joey's name? Will AJ and Pax, who always share their women, be able to share Teresa? Will Teresa be able to overcome her fears and trust AJ/or Pax enough to have a sexual relationship with either or both of them? Will AJ and Pax, who both had difficult childhoods where people they loved let them down, be able to allow themselves to really fall in love with a woman for the first time? And if they do, will Teresa love them back?Well, I've got nothing negative to say about this story. The writing was good, the story was easy to follow and moved quickly, there was a touch of suspense and a few surprises thrown in, the characters were extremely likable, and the love scenes were hot, but didn't monopolize the story. There was plenty of background given about the characters (physical descriptions, their pasts) that I felt like I knew them well enough and was able to connect with them. Teresa was tough but lovable. AJ and Pax were adorably sexy, protective, and patient with Teresa, and when Teresa (who called the shots sexually) gave them the go ahead, they could get all alpha in the bedroom. The sex scenes were hot, whether it was one-on-one, or two-on-one, and there didn't seem to be any jealousies between the two men regarding Teresa. Amazing. They put her feelings and her welfare first above everything else--who could resist that? They were a couple of sweethearts, and I enjoyed seeing Pax fall in love for the first time, and seeing AJ deal with his guilt over leaving Teresa and rediscovering his love for her. Teresa was one lucky woman.Fans of the series should be happy with this book, but will be sad to see it all end. I know I am. There wasn't a bad book in the whole sexy lot. This one might not have replaced my favorite ( Riding on Instinct) but it came pretty close. Well done, Jaci Burton. 4 stars.AJ and Teresa

4 ½ stars – Romantic Suspense/Erotic Romance/MénageThis final installment of the sexy, thrilling Wild Riders, about former thieves, law breakers, and bad-boy bikers turned undercover government agents, is a hot, action-packed conclusion to a series that’s been steamy loads of fun. Wild Rider agents AJ and Pax visit AJ’s hometown while on vacation only to soon find themselves mixed up in a biker gang war and a murder, and AJ’s former high school sweetheart, Teresa, is right in the middle of it all. Teresa’s brother, Joey, is accused of killing a rival gang leader and she’s the only witness that can prove otherwise, but the local cops don’t believe her. When it becomes apparent that the police investigation is stalled and that the real bad guy could be after Teresa to keep her quiet, AJ and Pax vow to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and hunt down the real killer, which entails the trio heading to a biker rally in Sturgis to track down the gang member who framed her brother.Teresa is the only woman AJ’s ever loved and he’s lived with guilt and regret since leaving her 10 years ago. Old flames truly never die because it’s not long before their prior attraction and feelings resurface. But Pax and Teresa have some serious heat burning between them too. When she discovers that AJ and Pax habitually share women, will she succumb to her long dormant sexual needs and submit to their desires, or will fears from a horrific trauma in her past keep her from taking a chance? And while AJ and Pax help Teresa heal emotionally and sexually, can she also mend their battered, jaded hearts? There’s a perfect mix of action, suspense, and sizzling hot romance, and it’s a fast paced, exciting read. The relationship dynamics between the three is really well done, and the brother-like friendship between AJ and Pax, AJ and Teresa’s sweet romance, and Pax and Teresa’s explosive passion were all believable. I actually found myself preferring Teresa and Pax together, but I was glad they all got their HEA.I knocked off half a star because I had trouble believing that Teresa would have owned, worked, and flaunted her sexy assets in a rough biker bar when she had so many (understandable) hang-ups about men because of the trauma she suffered in the past. I just didn’t completely buy her whole “Coyote Ugly” tough gal thing in the beginning, but I was very happy that she found sexual healing in the arms of two caring, smokin’ hot bad-boys who are really oh sooo good. It didn’t quite beat Riding Temptation or Riding on Instinct for my favorite Wild Riders, but it’s a sexy, fun, entertaining read, and I’m sad for the series to end. But I’m reallllly looking forward to Jaci Burton’s next erotic romance, The Perfect Play, coming in Feb’2011. (Just check out the studtastically fine cover below to understand why!) 4 ½ stars!

Not sure if this knocked out 'riding temptation' which was book 2, out of my top spot as my favorite wild rider story; but it was really damn close!!This was a great end to an awesome series! I won this advanced copy and couldn't be more happy about it. I feel like I should buy a copy when it comes out because I liked it so much!Pax and AJ are great, I really liked them from the previous books. And Teresa was a great fit for them...literally!! She was strong and sexy and I liked her from the prologue! Thanks for a wild ride jaci! And for giving me my love of the bad ass biker!

I love my biker series, it unleashes my inner biker chick, but this one fell short. (It might even be a 2 star read, but I loved the first books of the series and might have been feeling their effect) Riding on Instinct still my favorite of series. This one is still hot, and AJ and Pax were definitely sexy bikers, but I just don't get into the three being together in the end. I don't mind menage, I love erotica, but I like one man, possessive, alpha dominance in the end. My mind just doesn't work like that. It also bothered me that Pax got her more often and I felt more passionately, even though AJ was her first love... doesn't the first love account for anything. If they are going to share it should be "even steven".

This review was posted at Under the CoversI couldn't put this book down! I found the Wild Riders series by reading Nauti and Wild and I've loved every single book in this series! I've been looking forward to reading AJ & Pax's story, and knowing this was going to end up being, hopefully, a HEA for a 3some.The book starts off giving us a glimpse of AJ's past, when he was 19 and in love with Teresa, but leaves her because of his criminal activities. Now 10 years later, while on vacation with Pax he decides to go back to his hometown. They stop at a biker bar and he finds Teresa now owns it. In good Wild Riders fashion, even on vacation they find trouble, there's a war between the local biker club and the one from north of town. The leader of the north club is stabbed and Teresa's brother is accused of the murder, while Teresa is the only witness. Now she has to find the killer herself since the cops think she's lying for her brother.AJ & Pax decide to stay and help and protect Teresa. They both want her. And then they uncover what's happened to her since he left. I think the way they ease her into everything is done well and in a believable way. This book has a lot of action, mystery, bikers, beers, bike rallys, and some pretty hot sex. I loved the parts when we could see Pax's point of view, and how Teresa's feelings developed for him too. And the sexual chemistry between those 2 was explosive! It wasn't my favorite book in the series, but it was a great addition to is. I'm sad this was the ending of it, I'll miss our bikers, but I'll definitely be looking forward to Jaci Burton's next book.A normal woman would have died to be in the same room with these two men. A normal woman would have.

Ok/good for romantic suspense with motorcycle gangs. Lots of sex, two men loving and sharing one woman.STORY BRIEF:In a small town not far from St. Louis are two motorcycle gangs. The Thorns rule the south side. The Fists rule the north side. Fists sell drugs. Thorns don’t do anything illegal that I could tell. The Fists want to take over the south side so they can have access to the river for their drug business. Joey is the leader of the Thorns. His sister Theresa owns a successful biker bar with pool tables, TVs, and attractive female bartenders who dance on top of the bars.Five years ago, two masked bikers attacked and raped Theresa. She’s had no sex with anyone since, partly due to her fears and partly due to other men’s issues with the rape. Ten years ago, AJ and Theresa were 18 and in love. But AJ broke up with her and left town. He had begun stealing cars and felt he couldn’t give her the life she deserved. General Lee is head of a group of government agents who specialize in going undercover as bikers. AJ turned his life around and works for General Lee. His best friend and partner is Pax. AJ and Pax love sharing a woman either separately or at the same time. It’s hetero sex. AJ and Pax have some vacation time, and AJ wants to see his home town. They stop at Theresa’s biker bar and see her. That same night, the Fists come in and start a fight with the Thorns. The Fist leader is killed. The cops arrest Joey as their main suspect. Theresa saw who did it (a Fist member) but the cops don’t believe her. Theresa wants to find the killer to identify him. AJ and Pax help her. AJ and Pax start having lustful and loving sex with Theresa.REVIEWER’S OPINION:This is romantic suspense with Theresa in danger more than once. The story was ok but didn’t wow me. There is a lot of sex, and it’s good. There is some rear door activity if that matters. It seemed odd to have a group of agents who only investigated and went undercover with motorcycle gangs. I suppose that could exist, I just hadn’t thought about it before. The Thorns were a “good” gang. I wondered what they did - just hang out for fun? I was pleased there were no major problems such as stupidity or vague communication. At one point I thought Theresa was doing something stupid, but later realized it had some merit. The motive for the rape was questionable. The rapists wanted to hurt someone, and I’m not sure that was the way to achieve their goal. But I won’t judge. There wasn’t much character development. I didn’t know anything about AJ or Pax, other than reformed bad boys. We know a little more about Theresa – her bar ownership, her psychological trauma from rape, and how she handles some of the danger. She was good to read about. There was an interesting twist toward the end. This was the 5th book in the series. I have not read any other the others. It was fine as a stand-alone.DATA:Story length: 309 pages. Swearing language: strong, including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: 9. Estimated number of sex scene pages: 58. Setting: current day mostly Missouri and S. Dakota. Copyright: 2010. Genre: erotic romantic suspense.

This book was such a fun read, but I have a feeling that what made it fun for me was not what the author had in mind, and that was the girl card that Teresa played, more about that later.AJ and Pax are part of the unique set of federal agents who call themselves "Wild Riders". These guys look more like thugs and a motorcycle gang than the law enforcement agents they are. The 2 guys are best friends, who share everything, and by everything I do mean the women the encounter. While they are on vacation they end up in AJ's hometown and run into AJ's high school sweetheart, Teresa. AJ still feels guilty about leaving her ten years ago. While there he and Pax stumble into the middle of a bike gang territory war, one that seems to center in Teresa's bar, and has her brother smack in the center. To help find the person who has framed her brother, Teresa lets AJ and Pax help her find the bad guy, which is hard for her to do, as past actions have taught her to not trust men in general. She quickly finds out about AJ and Pax's sharing ways, which intrigues her. It is at this point that Teresa pulls the girl card. She wants to know just how this works, what are the rules, what happens if she is with one guy and the other comes in. I think she brings up valid questions, some that I have never seen voiced in a book about menage, and I love that she just put it out there. I also loved the answers that they guys gave her and their attitudes towards their sharing. The relationship between the 3 of them far outshine "who done it" aspect of the book, and then ending was great and ran true to what they all needed.

Oooh, this was a goody!- Jaci Burton made the M/M/F threesome smoking hot. Like, I don't get into that ordinarily, but I loved how JB made this a thing for her fourth book. It was fantastic.- The character dynamics in this one were so deeply developed - I was all in for everything that unfolded in this story.- This story is a beautiful balance of action, suspense, and romance, and (I'm going to sound like a broken record) the sizzle game is strong.- I really enjoyed how JB built the relationship between AJ and Pax. Their bond was so strong, and I loved their loyalty to each other. I remember reading with trepidation the first time around, waiting for the moment when one of them betrayed the other, and I cannot even express how much I love Jaci Burton for not doing that to me.- After learning more about her character, I have a super hard time believing Theresa would behave the way she does in her bar in the beginning. But it's a minor thing. This totally ends Wild Riders on a high note. Loved it!

Highly disappointing end to the otherwise enjoyable Wild Riders series. This one didn’t work for me at all.AJ and Teresa were childhood sweethearts, until AJ went all noble on her eighteenth birthday and left her - ‘for her own good’, of course. Neither ever forgot the other.Cut to ten years later, and their paths cross and feeling reignite. Only this time, AJ’s best friend Pax is in the picture. AJ and Pax do everything together, and the fact that AJ is still in love with Teresa (and she with him) apparently doesn’t make any difference. This story would have worked so much better as a second-chance romance just involving AJ and Teresa. The whole time I was reading it, I was wishing Pax would leave the two of them alone and go find his own woman. It certainly didn’t help that Teresa seemed to show a preference for Pax. This didn’t seem to be an equal relationship between the three of them. Pax was always holding Teresa’s hand, she was always choosing to ride double on Pax’s bike, and AJ was just fine with it all. B. S.And it wasn’t even that hot.

Lots of other descriptions of the characters given in previous reviews, so I'll spare you mine. I will say this: You should read the series in order. If you enjoy the first book, you'll really enjoy this one.If you like an action filled whodunit story, featuring smokin' hot bad-boy type, Harley-riding hard bodied men, and if you like the idea of enjoying BOTH of them, then you will probably enjoy this book. This series is so popular that I can get them all through my local library, electronically. Check yours out!

Totally loved this one; by far my favorite of this series. I found AJ and Pax super sexy and Teresa was strong and didn't annoy me like some heroines do. The love story was smoking hot (what do you expect from a wicked threesome). The plot however was a little weak and I saw the traitor coming from a mile away.

Favorite Quote: “Take it easy, Teresa. It was just an orgasm, not world peace.”When AJ and Pax decide to stop by AJ’s hometown while on vacation, AJ never expects to run into his old high school flame,Teresa. Teresa was heartbroken when AJ left her but got on with her life and now owns a large profitable biker bar. But the feeling are still there between them, simmering hot just barely beneath the surface. While catching up at the bar, a fight breaks out between rival gangs leaving one man dead and Teresa’s brother accused of murder. With Teresa as the only eye witness and no proof to clear her brother’s name, the three of them head to the annul bike fest in South Dakota to find the real killer.Teresa is confused and titillated to find she is equally attracted to both AJ and Pax. A past trauma in her life leaves her guarded and unable to trust men. When AJ and Pax discover her secret they vow to help her heal anyway they can. In their arms, Teresa slowly discovers a feast of sensual delights and raging passions that binds the three of them in it’s intensity. But when love enters the picture; can it hold them together? Or will it tear the three of them apart?Jaci Burton’s Riding The Night is a veritable feast for the senses. Mystery, suspense, and sensual delights all blend together perfectly in a delish contemporary story.Teresa, Aj, and Pax are all strong, intelligent, yet vulnerable characters. AJ and Pax are partners in the Wild Riders gang, an undercover agency that infiltrates biker gangs. Both of them had similar upbringings and personalities that bonds the two of them in friendship. When they realize that they both are attracted to the same woman, it takes their friendship to a new level and they begin to “share” woman in sexual ways. AJ and Pax have commitment issues and are all about the fun and games of their escapades-as long as their willing conquests realize that love will never enter the picture.Read the rest of my review at

A.J. and Pax - a woman's erotic dream come true. They are best friends, united by their similar pasts. They share their life and their women. A.J. had loved Teresa as a teenager. He left. Now he is in his old hometown with Pax. They both want Teresa but they want to share. Someone has set up her brother, A.J.'a boyhood friend and leader of the local motorcycle club. He is accused of murder. A.J., Pax and Teresa know he is innocent. There is action and there is hot sex. Teresa has suffered a trauma in her recent past. A.J. and Pax want to help her while helping her brother. These bad boys are fun, strong and hot. What more could a girl want? They are just not permanent. This is a good addition to the series. The chemistry between the three are deep and scorching. The story grabs the reader from the beginning and holds on. I enjoyed this read.

I'm not surprised that Teresa fell fast and hard for AJ and Pax. They were so sweet, patient, and understanding about her past. Unlike the other men she attempted to get close to, they didn't run away when they found out about the horrendous assault she was still battling to overcome. They stood by her and when she was ready, they let her set the pace in the relationship. What a couple of sweethearts! Now regarding the assault, I was surprised to discover who was one of her attackers. To be violated in any way is horrific. To find out it was by someone you trusted...emotionally and psychologically devastating.

Burton does it again with smoking hot sex! I am not drawn by the motorcycle theme of these books but it certainly doesn't detract from the hot men and the amazing sex. The story was predictable and I had a hunch of the 'who done it' for pretty much the whole book. Again, didn't bother me because I loved the boys! AJ and Pax were so much fun and so sexy. The only downfall of this book to me personally is that the heroine was a little...I don't know...redundant? She kept asking about the rules and thinking the same thing over and over. That got a little tiresome so I did skim some of those inner monologues to get to the 'good parts' :)

Great ending to an awesome series. I am sad that it is over. If Teresa ever gets tired of AJ and Pax I would like for her to give me a call! LOL *******might be a spoiler*******************One complaint, the sex scene at the very end in the parking lot of her bar???? SO not necessary to the story. I understand that they couldn't wait to get her home, but come on in a parking lot. Not hot at all, just a little to skanky for me, especially the way they were throwing around the "I Love Yous"

Motorcycle + alpha hero = wild ride. Motorcycles + 2 alpha heroes + 1 strong heroine = explosive ride. Jaci Burton’s final entry in her ‘Wild Rider’ series is typical Burton; and by that I mean get ready for romance, exciting characters, intrigue, adventure, emotional revelations and passion. I'm a bit sad that this is the last book in Burton's "Wild Riders" series. I've really enjoyed it, this book's got a little bit of everything: romance, hot sex, mystery, suspense, and some action. It's a nice combination.Series:Fifth book in Burton's "Wild Riders" series. I think you could read it as a standalone, but it's worth reading the all the books and in order.Summary:AJ and Teresa were high school sweethearts, but with AJ heading down a path of crime, he decided Teresa would be better off without him. So he left. Years later, after turning his life around and joining up with a secret government agency, AJ and his best friend and fellow agent Pax run into Teresa while on vacation. The chemistry between the three is instantaneous, but both men can sense something guarded within Teresa. She has secrets both want to know, and an inner pain they want to help heal. But before they can begin to explore the chemistry, a bar brawl erupts and Teresa's brother, and AJ's old friend, is accused of murder. In order to clear his name, they head to the biker rally in Sturgis in search of a killer. In the process, the three will finally explore the chemistry between them.Review:This addition to the series is perhaps not my favorite of the series, despite it being a menage story (which I love), but it was still a highly enjoyable read. What's not to love about two sexy bikers who are really secret government agents? It's definitely a hot setup.I really liked the dynamic between the three characters and the way the history set everything up. But I think my favorite thing about the relationship dynamic was that Teresa didn't hold a huge grudge against AJ for leaving her years ago. Sure it upset her and she was hurt by it, but unlike what you get in many other books, she also understood and accepted that him leaving her was probably the best thing he could have done. I really liked that. It's different and gave her character a maturity that was enjoyable. There's definitely a good chemistry between the three, but Teresa's got sexual scars she has to get over. That alone adds a nice level of emotional conflict, but then there's the fact that Teresa wants both men and both want her. AJ and Pax have done the threesome thing before, but Teresa is confused by it. I thought Burton did a good job of portraying her inner conflict over how to deal with the situation. And overall, it was just a satisfying romantic relationship throughout the book. And the suspense plot worked as well. I enjoy bad-boy (good guy) biker stories. Very sexy. The plot is perhaps a bit simplistic and I had a pretty good guess what was what, but it was written well and it kept me reading. Things moved a bit slow at times, but on the whole it was a very readable story.I did wish there was a stronger connection to the Wild Riders group and the other characters. You get a little cameo at the end, but I would have liked to see more of the other characters, especially considering this is the last book of the series (from what I understand). So it was a bit of a bummer not to get more of them.Good book, though. And a great series. If your a fan of erotic stories with more substance then I'd definitely recommend giving this series a try.WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, m/f sex (oral, anal), m/f/m sex (hetero, oral, anal), some rough sex, a little dominance, maybe some other stuff I'm forgetting, and references to the heroine being raped.

Another must-read from Jaci Burton. HOT! Here's my review from TwoLips Reviews ( of this series have been anxiously awaiting this installment, and while it’s bittersweet because it’s the last book in the series, it’s a reunion story so it’s extra delicious. Ten years ago AJ was dating Teresa but he broke it off because he knew his life was off track and he loved her too much to drag her down with him. He was a troubled kid with a rotten stepfather and a mother who didn’t stick up for him. He stole cars for a chop shop. He didn't want that life for her, so he broke her heart and left her. Now AJ and his best friend Pax are passing through the area of his hometown and he decides he wants to stop and see some old friends, including Joey, Teresa's twin brother. He assumes Teresa has married and forgotten about him by now. Still single, Teresa owns a biker bar and Joey's the leader of a gang called the Thorns. While AJ and Pax are hanging out at the bar, a rival gang comes in and starts trouble. It quickly gets out of control and the leader of the rival gang gets fatally stabbed. Teresa saw who did it, but the police don’t believe her because her brother is the prime suspect. Now she has to find the real killer.AJ and Pax decide to stick around to help and protect her. AJ and Pax come from similarly dysfunctional backgrounds and they’ve always got each other’s backs. They like to share women, partly for the sheer pleasure of it, but also because neither wants a serious relationship. Threesomes keep it casual – usually. But they’re not feeling casual about Teresa. Both are drawn to her, but they don't want to push her into anything she's not ready for. She is dealing with some serious sexual issues from a violent incident in her past, but these two men make her want to feel again and enjoy sex again. There are so many things I loved about Riding The Night that I hardly know where to start. I enjoyed getting to know AJ and Pax in greater detail after “meeting” them in previous books in the series. They’re intense, caring and just plain yummy. I like how respectful and caring Pax is. He respects Teresa’s feelings and AJ’s past relationship with her, and he’s willing to ignore his attraction to her for the sake of his friendship with AJ. I like the lack of jealousy between the two men. I really like the chemistry between Teresa, AJ and Pax – it’s absolutely scorching and it gave me happy tingles. All of them are intelligent and likeable, which is important to me as a reader. I also appreciate the fact that while this is clearly an erotic romance, it still has a perfect balance of action and heart-pounding sex.It seriously doesn't get any better than this. Riding The Night is a wild carnal ride that revs your engine and makes you feel hot all over. If you like erotic romance and drool-worthy heroes, I dare you not to love this book. Anything Jaci Burton writes is a guaranteed must-read.Recommended Read, 5 Kisses, 2 Peppers (m/f/m straight menage, double penetration, anal sex)

Fifth in the Wild Riders erotic romance-suspense series revolving around the bike-ridin' men who belong to a secret government organization. My Take It's a sweet story but never really rises to the tension levels that could make this a great little story nor does it account for how easily Teresa accepts sex with two guys. Wouldn't it be great if we could simply write world peace as easily as so many authors write their characters' actions?I did wonder how AJ and Pax would resolve their need to share a woman. Lucky for them, the woman they want is also into Harleys. The Story Looking forward to a well-deserved vacation, AJ and Pax are riding the roads and just happen to stop in AJ's old hometown in Missouri where they come across Teresa in his old hangout, Greasy Rider, only she's now the owner and bartender. And still single.A timely visit as a rival gang, the Fists, instigate a bar fight resulting in Joey arrested for the murder of the leader of that rival biker gang. A charge Teresa knows is bogus and she is determined to get to the truth. Determined to protect her, AJ and Pax ride with her to Sturgis for the annual Bike Week, not only for the loyalty and love he feels for what they had when they were young but also for the love both men are coming to feel for Teresa and the concern they have for the trauma she suffered five years ago. The Characters AJ and Pax are undercover agents with the Wild Riders. Troubled teens chosen by General Lee and reworked into federal agents of a secret organization that infiltrates motorcycle gangs and other similar groups. Best friends for the past 10 years, AJ and Pax share everything.Teresa is the love that AJ left behind when he left town. He loved her too much to subject her to the life he knew he was heading toward. Now, she is hotter than ever. As Pax *ahem* points out. Joey is Teresa's brother and the leader of the Thorn motorcycle gang; he was also AJ's best friend when they were kids. Russ is Joey's second-in-command and has been a friend to both for years. Heather is one of the bartenders and a staunch friend to Teresa. The Cover The cover is fuchsia and black with the Badlands in the background and one of the boys coming up on his motorcycle behind the couple. The second half of the AJ-Pax team is laying his claim on Teresa grasping her thigh even as she claims him right back.I think the title, Riding the Night, refers to the nightmares that have haunted Teresa for the past five years.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed Jaci’s Wild Rider series. I’ve read all of them, including the novella she wrote for Nauti and Wild that came out in August. I would like to say that I read this final book in the series because of the fact that I’d read all the others. It’s kind of like going to see the sequel, or the trilogy, in a movie because you’ve seen the rest and you want to see how it ends. I would also like to point out that, while I love to read erotica, I don’t like read about bondage, BDSM or ménage a trois. This book had a menage. But like I said, I had to read it because it was the last in the series and I just couldn’t not read it. I was already invested in the characters and their lives. While the love scenes were beyond steamy, I have to admit that I felt a little uncomfortable when they involved all three characters. Call me a prude, but I’m all about lovemaking with one partner at a time and prefer stories that involve intercourse between one man and one woman. Even though AJ and Pax are a 20 on the Taster’s Choice of Hotness scale—especially AJ with his black hair and storm gray eyes. Yow!—I could’ve done without the ménage aspect. And yes, I’m a sap when it comes to romance books. I like the happy ending, where the couple declare their love and he asks her to marry him. I even like the promise of a happy ending: will-you-marry-me?-but-let’s-wait kind of thing. In this case, I didn’t really see a happy ending. Sure, they’d all be together, but they could never get married. And if she got pregnant—SPOILER AHEAD—something that was mentioned towards the end, she wouldn’t know who the father would be, the baby would just be “ours.” Yeah, okay. Try explaining that relationship to your friends. The one thing I did like about this series was the fact that you got a glimpse into the life of a biker gang. The partying, the debauchery, the hierarchy, the code of honor, the loyalty, the sense of family and fierce protection. Kind of like SONS OF ANARCHY. If you watch that show. Which I don’t, but I hear it’s good. I would recommend the Wild Riders series in general. However, if you like to read about, are interested in, or participate in ménage a trois, then this book is for you.Score: 3.5 wet panties

AJ and Pax are undercover agents for government agency called the Wild Riders. While on their way on vacation they go through AJ’s hometown and run into AJ’s high school sweetheart. A woman he skipped out on because he knew his life wasn’t going in the right direction and he wanted better for her. Now years later, his life is on track and he and his partner are passing through town when he learns that the chemistry he’s felt with Theresa still exists. However, not only does he feel it, so does his best friend Pax. When a fight explodes inside Theresa’s biker bar a man is killed, her brother is accused of the crime, and Theresa is the only person who saw the real killer. Unfortunately the authorities don’t believe her, because her brother is the lead suspect in the murder. AJ and Pax vow to protect her and help her search for the witness, but can the feelings they have for Theresa help her recover from trauma in her past and can she believe that something that started as a fling lead to something permanent.Although this book is the fifth in her Wild Riders series and I had not read the previous entries, I had no problem following along with the story. The writing is good, but I had a hard time connecting with RIDING THE NIGHT. Specifically, I had a hard time understanding how someone with Theresa’s past was able to easily jump into a ménage relationship with all the baggage she had. Without giving away any spoilers, I wish that the aspect of assisting Theresa to overcome her past difficulties was developed more. I also had a hard time believing that AJ, Pax, and Theresa were in a loving, committed relationship. I needed to see/understand that their relationship was building into something greater than just sex and I personally didn’t feel a deeper connection between them. However, having said all this, the sex scenes were umm amazing. Sometimes in erotic romances the sexual scenes appear to be so technical, I didn’t get that here.If you are looking for a light, erotic romance that is an easy, quick read, this is it. This is an author that I’d definitely pick up again.

Riding the Night by Jaci BurtonContemporary Romance - Sept. 7th, 20104 starsJaci Burton continues her Wild Rider series in this 4th full length installment. Sexy and filled with suspense fans of her books will not be disappointed. In this story, the author amps up the heat in a plot that includes a beautiful and traumatized heroine named Teresa and 2 hunky enforcement agents who find her irresistible and love to ‘share.’ (Warning: ménage!)Teresa and AJ were young and in love. Teresa had a promising future. But AJ’s life was troubled by a mother who never supported him and let her son be abused by his step father. AJ decides to leave town and Teresa before his life spirals out of control. He feels his life will 'bring' hers down, but the trouble is he can never forget her!It is years later and AJ has returned with his good buddy and fellow enforcement agent Pax. While in the local motorcycle bar they find sexy Teresa is the owner. Pax and AJ are immediately attracted to her and tension flares between them. However, Teresa is hurt and confused at AJ’s abandonment and is wary of him. Soon Teresa’s brother is targeted by a rival motorcycle gang and Teresa is caught in the crossfire. Now these 2 men must protect her and they prefer up close and personal....This story was generally straight forward but it did have a surprising twist that seemed a little thrown in at the end. I really felt for Teresa who is struggling to overcome her past trauma. She is a strong woman and it is wonderful to read her transformation as she starts to live again. I only wish more of AJ’s character had come out as well. I would have liked to know more about his 'missing' years and what made him the self sufficient and successful man he is today. As usual Jaci Burton’s sex scenes are explosive. I think readers who enjoy Lora Leigh's contemporary romances will enjoy this book, too. This is a definitely a story for those who like a little 'spice' in their stories and love tough bad boys!Reviewed by Steph from the Bookaholics Romance Book Club

Believed to be the last entry in Jaci Burton's extremely popular and inspired Wild Riders series, this story featuring a permanent menage with government agents Pax and A.J. and their heroine Teresa makes me glad that this isn't going to be the final story after all. Don't get me wrong - Burton is such a talented writer. She really has an extraordinary gift for chemistry, connection, and heat between her characters and can spin a fantastic tale full of exciting ups and downs. I have really, really loved this series because it's so different than any other I've ever seen and because it's obvious that this series comes straight from the author's heart. My problem is the same that I have anytime I read a permanent menage: I just don't buy it. This is the main issue in the romance genre where I can't suspend belief enough to feel like this type of relationship could work in real life. The biggest compliment I could pay Burton is that she comes as close as anyone could to getting me to feel and believe the trio's love story. I loved all the characters, the plot was good, the suspense very enjoyable. One thing I've seen before in permanent menages, and the case in this story, is that one of the men have a background with the heroine, and it always makes me uncomfortable because that couple seems so far ahead of the other, who are just meeting for the first time. Immediately it feels off balance, and I really just want the original couple to reunite. But I can accept that there are many readers who like this type of story, and I have no doubt that they will love this one. Burton has promised me that there will be another, unexpected entry in this series, a second anthology with the also-fabulous Lora Leigh, so I'm excited to see more of the series that I believe finds Burton at the top of her game, and personally glad that the last story won't be a menage, which always leaves me feeling lukewarm.

Christy’s Review Where to begin? I loved this book. As with all the books in the Wild Riders series it was a very good read. Teresa and AJ grew up together and were childhood sweethearts. On her 18th birthday, AJ leaves town because he's on the road to being a criminal and doesn't want to mess up Teresa's life.Fast forward several years, AJ and Pax are undercover operatives for a government agency call the Wild Riders. All members ride Harleys and are bad boys on the good side of the law. While on vacation, AJ and Pax, make a stop in the town where AJ grew up. Imagine AJ’s surprise when he and Pax visit the local biker bar and see Teresa behind the bar. After a fight erupts in the bar that leaves one man dead, and Teresa’s brother accused of the murder, Teresa, AJ and Pax find themselves on the road to clear her brother of murder. The chemistry between Teresa, AJ and Pax sizzles from the beginning and she finds herself attracted to both men however Teresa’s hiding a secret from her past and is reluctant of starting anything with the two.Riding The Night is a fast paced book. The plot is excellent, the characters are realistic and I couldn’t put it down. I found myself turning page after page to find out what happened next with the trio although I did figure some of it out before getting the confirmation towards the end of the book.If you’re looking for a good romantic suspense to read, one that features bad boys, a great plot and hot and sizzling romance, then Riding The Night is for you. Be sure to check out the other books in the Wild Riders series.4 1/2 Tea Cups!

Riding the NightAJ Dunn, Paxton Pax Hudson and Teresa Oliveri3.5/5 StarsRiding the Night is the fifth book of Wild Riders series by Jaci Burton. AJ and Pax are best friends, they pretty much share everything, even women. Well, you guessed it right, this is a menage kind of book. AJ and Pax visited AJ's hometown while on vacation, they came across a situation that leads both of them to help and protect Teresa, AJ's ex-girlfriend. AJ and Teresa's affection somewhat rekindled, AJ's feelings to Teresa never changed, she is the only woman he ever loved and he live with guilt and regret for leaving her 10 years ago. But Pax and Teresa also have intense attraction, both of them hit it off as soon as they got a chanced. I would've preferred Teresa to end with AJ, but Pax and Teresa are hot couple too. By the end of the story, all was well and the three of them are more than happy with the situation.Favorite Quotes"You don't love me now." -Teresa"I always love you, Teresa. You were there for me when no one else was. You were the first-the only-girl I ever cared about. But that whole love and permanence and forever thing? I realized a long time ago it's not for me. I can't offer that kind of lifestyle to a woman. My job takes me everywhere. I'd never be there for the kids. And I'm not going to ignore my wife and have my children end up resenting me. Children should feel wanted and appreciated and loved." -AJ"I want you, Teresa. I've wanted you since the first night I met you. Now you tell me what you want. Straight up." -Pax
