Amane's school is having an annual competition with a variety of activities, including a scavenger hunt - Amane is determined to participate despite Hyoue's misgivings. The competition continues with each team putting on a play. Amane's team puts on Beauty and the Beast, and Hyoue has to stand in as the Beast. He worries he is going to say something which will hurt him - he's been 'collared' with a tattoo which will activate when he says something specific to Amane. Finally, the last story in the collection takes place in an amusement park during the Christmas celebration - Amane and Hyoue go only to find another Kona-Omi who's master died attacking parkgoers. Still a fun series and I am enjoying my re-read!

I do have to say, the comedy in this series tends to fall flat. I get how even with serious stories, it can't be all depressing; people might just loose interest because it's too much to take. But yeah, it often comes across forced. I'm sure people who have read this far has noticed that, and it will be even more forced as the series continues to have a more serious plot. I just wanted to jam this comment onto at least one of the volumes.

I get the impression that this volume marks the beginning of the central arc of this series. Up to now, I've rather felt like it's been floating along from episode to episode; now there's the promise of larger plot and character development. Looking forward to getting the next volume from the library.

SPOILERI am so not bothered at all of the prospect of Hyoue never being able to change into a human bean again. I found myself thinking during one demon!Hyoue scene how much cuter he was as a dog/cow creature, compared to his boring pretty boy human form. I would be delighted if the rest of the series was Amane's adventures with her dog-cow!

I'm glad to say the plot's moving along faster now, but since Amane's still as irritating as ever, I think I'll give this a break until I can get a hold of all volumes and marathon the rest. It's unfortunate, but a character as interesting as Hyoue (and Amane's mortal enemies) is wasted on someone as weak and criminally dumb as Amane.

Series Review: He Majesty's Dog is a unique and entertaining manga that is well worth the read. It is funny and lighthearted while keeping a series plot. The characters are amazing as they each have very different personalities that work wonderful together. I definitely recommend giving this manga a try!

I really enjoyed this installment and the more serious turn the story takes here. I found the whole Beauty and the Beast parallel surprisingly touching.

This was pretty good, but not quite as good as the ones before it.

The school festival arc. I think it's mandatory for all series set in high school, but this one was kind of dull.

fokus ke kisah cinta segitiga aname, hyoe, dan souta. dengan ending terbuka dan twist yang tidak jelas.
