More a 2.5I was looking forward to a lovely Christmas miracle story with the added bonus of a Kid in it. Sadly it never quite gelled for me.(view spoiler)[ Despite being separated for over a year, the get back together felt too rushed. We never really learnt what went wrong first time around, other than one cheated. We don’t know for how long the affair lasted, but the first phone call after they finally start talking to each other (after a year of no talking unless it involved their daughter) has them having detailed phone sex with toys. Then when they are having their first make up sex together, the cheating is brought up again. Sorry but that would of killed the mood for me. The throw in of the Mother at the end giving her “Hurt him again and suffer” speech was pretty predictable. The kid is only used as a intro to the two guys. She really doesn’t play much of a role in this. .(hide spoiler)]Overall this would of worked so much better for me if it had been longer and we got the full story. As a short it was just OK.

3.25* Nice enough and quite romantic ( despite the past history between the two guys which is of course essential to the story) but wanted to see more of Tegan who I thought would be more of a catalyst in getting her dads back together. It was an enjoyable read but probably won't stay in my mind for long. When I think of all the Xmas stories Ive read recently that havereallyticked my boxes this onejustfalls short by a smidgen.

A very short e-book, but I LOVED this a LOT. For some reason there is nothing I love more than reading about a couple struggling with the affects of infidelity. It get's me every time - and this story was a cracker!

A letter to Santa from their daughter brings about a Christmas miracle for Tegan and her Daddy and Papa. Wonderfully written and a great holiday read about forgiveness and family love :-)

There is one thing that six-year-old Tegan wants more than anything else for Christmas. She wants her Daddy and Papa to live together again. After almost fifteen years together, Peter and Lenn separated after Lenn was caught having an affair. Now Peter lives in their house and Lenn lives in an apartment and Tegan alternates weeks between their homes. No one is really happy with the situation, especially Tegan, but some things are not easily repaired. Things between Peter and Lenn deteriorated rapidly when they split and they are now barely able to be civil to each other for the sake of their daughter. When Tegan calls Lenn one night distraught over having left her inhaler at his apartment, he rushes to the house to bring it to her. For the first time Peter and Lenn are able to talk without fighting and they are both wondering if there is any chance left to fix their broken relationship. This is a wonderful touching story about love and family. It is obvious from the very beginning that Peter and Lenn still care deeply for one another, despite what they have gone through and how they have been treating one another. But more than anything else, the thing they can agree on without a doubt is that they both love their daughter and want her to be happy. There is so much to fix with their relationship, and it is very possible that the men will only be able to be friends. But just being friends is better for Tegan than having them constantly be at each other's throats and fighting. When the men decide to try to reconcile, they make the first steps be baby steps. They don't rush anything and start out slowly. It is realistic and beautiful to watch these men as they try to find one another again. Lenn admits his mistakes and takes full responsibility for his actions, and he is desperate to prove to Peter that he can be trusted again. I found myself caring so deeply for both of these men, and for the wonderful daughter they have raised. This is a beautiful story about family and love and second chances that I really enjoyed reading.http://emily83176.livejournal.com/427...

4.0 StarsA little over one year ago, Peter ended his 15-year relationship with Lenn after discovering that Lenn had been unfaithful. For the past 13 months, they have barely spoken to each other and limit their contact to coordinating visits for their adopted five-year-old daughter, Tegan. As another Christmas season comes around, Tegan has just one wish: for her Daddy and her Papa to live together again. Santa's Littlest Helper is the story of how Peter and Lenn - in an effort to be friends and ease Tegan's pain of separation from her two dads - eventually manage to overcome the seemingly impossible feat of mending fences.I liked this story. It was short and sweet but intense too. I generally shy away from cheater books but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I did wish that we knew more about why Lenn strayed in the first place. And, I thought the reconciliation (given the acrimonious break-up followed by 13 tension-filled months) was a little too quick. But I loved Tegan. Her letters to Santa were so sweet and pulled at my heartstrings.Bottom line: a short and sweet tale of Tegan getting her Christmas wish of love and forgiveness for her two dads.Re-Read on 12/20/13: One of my all-time fave Christmas stories. 5-Stars.

This book made my eyes water...a lot! My only complaint was the length, otherwise a very sweet story. Would have made a great full length novel. Man cheats, daughter wants daddies back together for xmas, they try to make it work. Loved it!

Peter and Lenn broke up over a year ago due to Lenn's poor choices but their daughter has a Christmas wish. Because of this both men actually decide to communicate and try reconnecting.

This is a nice enough Christmas story about a separated couple with an adopted daughter, Tegan. Tegan tells Santa that all she wants for Christmas is for her two dads to get back together, and thus starteth the plot. The two guys separated a year before the beginning of the story, after one cheated on the other. Obviously, therefore, they have a lot of emotional baggage to deal with. The cheater is very remorseful for what he's done, but doesn't believe he'll ever be forgiven. The cheated is afraid to trust again, but is still pining for the cheater. Predictably, they both get over it and finally have getting-back-together sex on Christmas night. There's nothing especially surprising or dramatic here. The story isn't badly written, but it also isn't exceptional or surprising in any way. Ehh.

One of the best romance (MM and straight included) I have ever read. It is short but intense, deep, compelling. The characters are very well developed. I could "see" them. And it is original as well because it deals with unfaithfulness and love and family. So many times we read just about the twink and sex and self-absorbed heroes. It is good for once to read about heroes who have some maturity.

This was such a cute short story. Real true spirit of Christmas.I really enjoyed reading about what drove the MC's apart and even though one of them made a huge mistake, the other was able to forgive him for it, because let's face it, love just concurs all xD

Didn't work for me. Took no time to actually build trust back and then the no condom? Nope.
