Shah Rukh Khan...

A must-read book for srk/bollywood fan though i would've enjoyed it more if it would've been about srk more and less about his movies and his art....

A nicely crafted out book by Mushtaq Sheikh!! who has spent a very close time with the Khan family. Being a friend he had the privilege to dive into the deepest facts about the life of King Khan, his amazing rise to power from nothing, his unshakable grit, and confidence which led to the rise of India's richest actor.Book uncovers the time from the struggling days of the superstar to his glory days, a person can find in this book what it takes to rise in life. This book is a delight for Shahrukh fans presenting almost every aspect of the life of the superstar.

Three: Days it took to finish it.Seriously It is a very interesting book (or I liked it because I always followed the Real life SRK), the way Mr. Sheik (his friend and author) depicted his real side without thinking twice about his stardom (not even friendship).Just one thing -Read it and you will fall in love with that personality --A man from nowhere is now everywhere.-Once whose father didn't have enough money to buy a movie ticket for him is now tagged as 'King Khan' in the same industry and today (12th July 2016) ranked 84th in Forbes list of world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities.

I read it long back and found this book quite interesting. It takes you along for a journey of a middle class boy who lost his father early and hardly had any extended family (read uncles, aunts, cousins etc) to support him. His intelligence, wit, charm made him a superstar despite being an outsider and having just average looks. New found respect for SRK for his achievements which is by his own (unlike his contemporaries like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan who have great advantage of being from film background).

I really liked this book. SRK has been my favourite actor since childhood so reading about him is a treat. I grab every chance of getting to know him better. Though, I felt like the second half was focussed less on SRK and more on his movies. A treat nevertheless :)

The Book starts really well but then derails from being a biography to a filmography. Mushtaq Shiekh has belittled the stature of Shahrukh Khan by writing such poorly written piece of literature. If you wish to know about Shahrukh Khan`s life then read only the first 7 chapters. Period.
