Someone Is Out There Reviews
Someone is out there is a delightful story of mystery, intrigue and a little bit of love. The main characters are Marcie and Peter. You meet Marcie in the very beginning and Peter after about 3 chapters. Marcie is saddened because she has to leave her hometown to visit her grandmother over Christmas. There are so many plans for her high school during the Christmas break that she argues with her mother at first. Finally she concedes to go since her grandmother is unable to visit them this time. When you meet Peter at first you don't know what to think of him. He is a handsome young man that Marcie has mixed feelings about. She doesn't know if it is anything to worry about or if it is just because of the fog in Cape Cod. I found the budding relationship between Peter and Marcie very sweet and a nice distraction for both of them. This is a great book for a fast easy read when you need a little break from all the tomes you have read lately.
I don't mind a slower-paced book, but this was so slow I couldn't stand the thought of finishing it. The Windswept series has not been going good, though I've only attempted to read the first two. My hopes are quickly dwindling for those that remain. Someone is out there is great if you're looking for a dull bedtime story, but not so much if you're looking for an entertaining mystery.
3. 5 stars. This was one of my favorite books in seventh grade. It held up better than I expected.
