If it’s a romance you are after with a bit of sizzle (it was a bit too much detail for me), plenty of food and a sweet story of love lost and found, then this book will satisfy.Even though I haven’t read Terra Kelly’s first book in the Winter’s Family Series, this book can stand alone and if you like this you’ll want to read the rest.Alyssa and her daughter Lexie, who I might add, is a most loveable and clever little preschooler, move to a small town and open a café, far away from home, family and memories, after Alyssa loses her beloved husband Derek in an accident that leaves her both physically and emotionally damaged; her daughter Lexie is her lifeline to carry on.Here we see another example of the healing power of love when Alex comes to town to be chef at Alyssa’s café; Alyssa and Lexie find love, as Alex is extremely understanding, his family very embracing and Alyssa’s family is restored. It is an easy read for a mature audience.

4.5 Stars! I enjoyed this book. This is a new author for me and only my second book by her and well.... I was impressed. This book was really good and had a super sweet storyline that will have you laughing and smiling along the way. You will swoon, get the feels, and definitely fall in love. This was a beautiful romance with hints of steam and a few twists thrown in along the way to keep you on your toes. This is book two in a series and can be read as a standalone but I promise by the end you will be like me and wanting to go back for the other two books in this series. This is Alyssa and Alex's story. Alyssa is still grieving, years after losing her husband, When that happened, she packed up her daughter and left the only family she had behind to start a new life. In walks Alex... new to town and a man who makes her feel. He wants her but can she move on?Alex is broken and tying to pick up the pieces. After losing his job and his girlfriend, a move and new job are just what he needs. What he doesn't expect is Alyssa and her daughter or the feelings that they bring out in him. Can he convince Alyssa to take a chance on love and a future with him?I highly recommend this book!Review Post---> http://reneeentress.blogspot.com/2015...

Need You is the second book in The Winters Family series and my favourite. I loved Alyssa and her daughter, Lexie from the very first moment I starting reading their story. Alyssa’s world fell apart when her husband dies in a tragic accident and she’s left with a daughter to raise on her own. She needed to escape her hometown and the memories and ends up in Boise, Idaho where she opens a new café and starts a new life. When the story picks up two years later, she is living with her beautiful daughter, who stole my life and she’s made new friends. But Alyssa still had moments when she feels like something, or someone, is missing from her life. That someone could be Alex, the youngest Winter brother, who also happens to be the new chef?Alex lost his job and girlfriend in Los Angeles and he wants to make a fresh start in a new town with a new job. Little did he know that they weren’t the only changes he would make in his life.Need You is one of the books that you can’t put down. It contains a story that makes you feel and also makes you hope. I had moments when I cried a little, but then I would smile. The important is that I finished this book with a smile on my face. I gave Need You 5 stars.Written by Karen from A Thousand Lives Book Blog

Alex just quit his job in L.A, and decided to head to Boise, Idaho early for his interview with the café owner. From working in the hussle and bustle cities he was ready for a slow down.Alyssa was still grieving from the tragic misfortune of a car accident killing her husband and father to her adorable daughter Lexie. Lexie wraps anyone who comes in contact with her around her finger, with her laughter or just the sunshine she emits from a smile. Alyssa left home without telling any of her family because she needed a break from the overbearing memories that were her husband and family. She got in the car and drove. Opening up her own café aptly named 'Lexie Eats' she has an executive chef position that readily comes available. Alex is just the man for the job.Terra Kelly has done it again with yet another Winters man sweeping a lady off her feet in just the nick of time. Alex is the new beginning Alyssa needs, and never knew it. I give this book four stars, I am excited to see what the rest of the Winters clan has in store for me. All the brothers seem so sexy the room gets heated just reading about them! Thanks Terra for yet another good read!

Need You is the second book in the Winters Family Series and is Alex and Alyssa's story. It can be read as a stand alone but it is definitely worth reading the first book in the series, Catch Me, as it is also a great read.Alyssa owns a café which she opened two years ago after the devastating loss of her husband. Alex is the youngest of the Winters siblings and, after losing his previous job, has moved to Boise to become the new chef at Alyssa's café. The two are instantly attracted to each other but Alex has to tread carefully as Alyssa is still grieving and does not know how to process being attracted to another man besides her late husband. In this story about the amazing healing power of love, we follow Alex and Alyssa as he finds the love he did not know he was looking for, and she learns to open herself up to love again. Add in Alyssa's adorable daughter, Lexi, as well as some great supporting characters and you have an absolute must-read.I really enjoyed this sweet, sexy, contemporary romance and Terra Kelly has, once again, delivered an addictive and heart warming story. You're Mine, Joshua and Kenzie's story, will be released August 2015.

Alyssa after losing her husband Derek, needed to get her life back together. She was being smothered by good intentions with the family. She put her daughter in the car and drove. Now two years later she still hasn't went home. Opening her own café her and Lexie started healing. Then Alex showed up. Alex was making a fresh start, having the interview for the cook position in the café was allowing him that time. He never planned on falling in love with a little girl and her mother. This is the second book in the Winters Family Series. They can be read as standalones. I read them out of order and had no problem following. Such a sweet love story. Alyssa had been through losing her husband and being smothered by family. She didn't plan on falling in love again. Alex wasn't looking for love but he couldn't ignore what he felt when around Alyssa and Lexi. They have their moments where they try to fight what they are feeling but mostly they are both willing to see where the relationship will go. In my opinion makes it all the more sweeter. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    >Review – Need You ->I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. I am an independent reviewer. This is the second book in the Winters Family Series and ends in an HEA and a cliffhanger.>Alyssa is a woman mourning the death of her husband 2 years prior. She takes her baby daughter and restarts her life far from home. Things are going positively for Alyssa. Her business is thriving, her daughter is well-adjusted and happy, and she has friends she considers family. When she hires a new Executive Chef, Alex, she finds love again.>This book is really a wonderful story, but that is also what is wrong with it. Everything is too good. The author uses the word “fun” way too much. Everything Alyssa, Alex and little Lexi does is fun. Their relationship heats up quickly and is always fun and wonderful. The only negative is the ex in laws and their feelings of betrayal.>At the end of the story, the author tries to add in a plot, finally. Too little, too late. All in all, this was a sweet story, but not much to it.>This book is appropriate for an adult audience.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It's certainly terrible what Alyssa and her daughter went through but it's also amazing to see what she has done with her life since then. And Alyssa is such a sweetheart! I love it! Alex was a perfect gentlemen, someone I would certainly like to have in my life and he was even sweeter with her daughter. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and not just the three I mentioned. They were all good characters that weren't just background noise. The plot was moving fast but at the same time slow enough that you didn't think you were speeding through it. I think it's fair to say that Alex and Alyssa were the ones moving quickly. And the way that it fed into Josh's book was a different way to end things. The writing was mostly great, there were a few times I almost got lost when there was an abrupt change but other than that I enjoyed it.Find this review and many more at Reading Shy With Aly

Need You by Terra Kelly is a heartwarming tale of love after loss. Alyssa and her daughter, Lexie, move to Boise, Idaho for a change of scenery and to try to recover from the tragic death of her husband. Alyssa ends up opening a café. She and Lexie are healing and moving on. Enter our hero – Alex Winters. He moves to Boise after losing his job as a chef in Los Angeles and becomes the new chef at Alyssa’s café.Though neither one was looking for love, Alyssa and Alex find it with each other. Alyssa has to learn to let go and be open to the possibility of love again. The chemistry between Alyssa and Alex is spicy and sweet! Lexie is just endearing as a side character – she steals the show and your heart! Need You is the second book in The Winters Family Series, although both books can be read as standalone novels. Need You is a love story about two souls looking for second chances and new beginnings.

Terra Kelly does it again. Wonderful job writing such an emotionally wrenching story. I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love with Alex. Uh and Lexie! I love when the little kids steal the show and your heart. What an absolutely lovely little girl who survived such a horrible tragedy at a young age. While we didn't get to see the Winters family as much I really enjoyed getting to meet Alyssa's sister and hope we get to see more of them in the future. As per my last review I talked about the formatting issue that I had a hard time with. This book was SOOOOO much better. At first I didn't think that was going to be the case, but within the first few pages breaks starting popping up! While if you want to you could read this as a standalone I recommend starting from the beginning since we meet and learn about the family in book one.

This book is a well paced heart warming story of love, and makes you believe in ‘love at first sight’. It was so believable that at times I thought maybe the Author had written my biography without asking. All the events in the story can really happen and that’s what made this story great. You just have to love little Lexie, she’s so adorable! She’s probably the one character that I did found difficult to believe, have you met the perfect, loving, well-mannered child? I sure haven’t. Every parent alive will be envious of Alyssa for such an adorable daughter.Although things start out a little sad, the book moves into much more upbeat strains early on and that positive vibe continues throughout.Just read it when it’s released, you won’t regret it.

What can i say about this book? The only word that pop my mind is love.Let me make you guys a question, do you think you can find hapiness when you face a tragedy? Is it possible to love again even if you think you don't deserve it?Well that thought went by Alyssa head. She's asingle mother of 5 year old Lexie, who have her little business in a very nice town. She only have eyes for he little girl, until she hired the gorgeous Alex to be her chef in her cafe.Since the first time they saw each other they knew that their lifes were about to change for the best. Can Alyssa fight her demons that haunt her? Can Alex handle it?Read and find out.

This was such a heartwarming and satisfying romance about two people needing their second chance at love. Alyssa is struggling with her grief for her departed husband and needs a fresh start for her and her daughter. Alyssa opens a café and Alex moves across country to become her new chef. Alex is dealing with issues of his own and also needs a fresh start. Who knew this new beginning would also bring a possibility of newfound and rewarding love into their lives? This was just the sweetest romance that I have read in a long time. Alex and Alyssa were the perfect couple and the story unfolded so easily that it was a pleasure to read

What an enjoyable story about two people with chemistry. This story gives the true meaning of it can happen when you least expect it.A young mother Alyssa with her daughter Lexis owns a cafe in Boise, Idaho looking for an executive chef position. Alex Winters may be a chef in Los Angeles, but love was not on his mind. This a refreshing story about second chances and a little five year old who steals the book. Looking for a book full of emotion and so much love, this will take you from life's problems.

Alyssa and Alexandra are the two sweetest characters I've read. Lexie made me laugh through this whole book. When Alex starts at Lexie Eats the sparks fly. Come along and join the journey of the Winters Family you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Nope. While there were a couple pretty steamy scenes, overall the book was a train wreck. The tense switched from past to present occasionally and in at least 3 places, entire sentences were missing. Not to mention inconsistencies in the plot.By the end, I was just reading to get through it.There was definite potential here, but the book is in desperate need of an editor.

Alyssa Benson lived in Michigan and lost her husband of ten years in an automobile accident. Her little girl Lexie and Alyssa were saved even though Alyssa was hurt with broken bones and scratches. Her parents and Derek's (her first husband who died in the accident) would not let her forget Derek or leave her alone. One night she left with Lexie driving and left her parents a note. She ended up in Boise, Idaho where she ended up buying a building and starting a cafe. Alyssa and Lexie had lived in Boise for two years and needed a chef. Alex Winters was let go from his souse chef position in Los Angeles and applied for the job. When Alyssa first saw Alex, there was an automatic spark between the two. Alex started working for Alyssa and was getting to know Alyssa and her daughter Lexie better. He knew he had to go slow with Alyssa as he could see sadness and something else in her eyes.I loved Lexie! She will steal your heart just like she did the characters in the book. I loved seeing Alyssa and Alex fall in love and how Lexie was included in everything. There are some sad parts in the book due to her past, but for the most part there is so much laughter and love in the book. It is a great book and I strongly encourage you to read the book.

lyssa and Alex's story is another hit for Ms. Kelly. We met Alex in book one. He was moving to Oregon to begin a new job. When he gets there he meets his boss, Alyssa and her adorable daugher Lexie. Alyssa is a widow who lost her husband in a traumatic way. She left her family to get away from the memories and make a new beginning. Alex is drawn to them immediatly. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time to watch these three find their HEA.

This is the second book in The Winter Family Series by Terra Kelly. I loved the first book about Isabelle and Drew, so I couldn’t wait to read this book about Alex Winters, the youngest boy in the family, and Alyssa Benson.Alyssa lost her husband two years ago in a car accident which also involved her and her daughter, Lexie. When Alyssa, finally, recuperates, she decides that she needs to start a new life away from her memories and her family. She moves to Boise, Idaho and opens a café, “Lexie Eats Café,” named after her daughter. Even though she has physically healed, she has definitely not healed mentally.Alex is a chef who lost his job and his girlfriend. So he decides it is time to move away from Los Angelis. He gets a job as a chef at Alyssa’s café, and moves to Boise. I love this book even better than the first book, which, quite frankly, I thought was impossible. Alyssa is a special woman. She is independent, caring and a loving mother and friend. Yet, she is, also, very sensitive and believes she will never love another man.Her daughter, Lexi, is very special. She is a friendly, open-hearted little girl, who is always happy and only sees the goodness in everyone and everything and. Even though she often spends days in the café with her mother, she never complains. She may help bake, or she may color or even take a nap. She is so sensitive to her mother’s sadness that she has a special bear that she loans to her when she notices. However, I adore Alex! He is gentle, kind, accepting, loving, funny and understanding (and these are just a few of his traits). He immediately falls in love with Alyssa and Lexi and treats them like the most important people in the world. He works hard to help Alyssa through her pain and tells her she can always talk about her late husband to him.I even love Alex’s family because they are very loving and understanding. They immediately accept Alyssa and Lexi into their family. Alex’s brothers are strong, handsome and as wonderful as Alex is. I hope to hear more about them in future books.I call these types of books “feel good” books because they are very up-lifting and cheerful. This book made me feel cheerful and warm all over. I highly recommend this book!

Need You by Terra Kelly is Book 2 of the Winters Family series and is a Contemporary RomanceAlyssa is a widow whose beloved husband Derek died in a car accident as they were driving home after celebrating their 10 year anniversary. Feeling smothered by her family after the accident, Alyssa and her young daughter Alexandra took off in the middle of the night, leaving behind a note to say good bye. After driving non-stop for 2 days, Alyssa stopped in Boise and started a new life, opening the Lexie Eats Cafe. Two years have now gone by and Alyssa wonders if it's time to go back to see her family. Alyssa hasn't been attracted to a man ever since Derek died, until the stunningly handsome Alex came into her life.Alex is a sous chef from Los Angeles who lost his job after the restaurant he worked in underwent some restructuring. Deciding a change of scenery would be good, Alex is in Boise for an interview as an executive chef at the Lexie Eats Cafe. Alex's girlfriend dumped him after he lost his job and he had no plans to start dating anytime soon. Until he saw the curvy and stunningly beautiful but sad Alyssa.Sparks fly when Alyssa and Alex meet, and they're immediately attracted to each other. Derek has Alyssa laughing from the start and Alyssa can't remember the last time she laughed so hard. Alyssa can feel the walls around her heart start to crack. Alex and Alyssa go out on a date and they have a lot of fun, but Alyssa runs away from Derek he brings her home and avoids him for 2 weeks because she's scared to love and then lose her loved one again. Tired of waiting, Alex drops by Alyssa's house to find out what was going on. Can Alex help Alyssa let go of her past and give him a chance?Need You is a lighthearted story that's heartwarming, sweet and steamy. Terra Kelly put me through an emotional wringer with the heartbreak the heroine went through. The hero was so sweet, patient and loving with the heroine that I couldn't help cheering them on. I highly recommend this book.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book

Alex needs a change. He was let go from his job in L.A., but doesn't want to move home to his family in North Carolina. Instead, he heads to Idaho, and a job offer as a chef at a restaurant there. Alyssa moved to Idaho with her young daughter Alexandra two years ago, wanting a fresh start after a tragic car accident made her a widow. Now she runs a successful restaurant, but is short a chef. When Alex steps in to take the job, she is attracted to him at first sight. Alex feels the same way, but realizes that sleeping with his boss is probably not the best idea for career success. Alyssa's adorable daughter Lexie gets attached to Alex almost immediately, as well. What are they going to do when work and romance collide? I would rate this book 4 stars. This is a second in a series. I did read the first book in this series, but other than a few of the Winters family characters overlapping, the story is a standalone. I don't think you would need to read the first book to enjoy the second book. In fact, I liked this story better than the first one. I am looking forward to the third book. Oh, and there are more yummy looking recipes in the back of the book, which is a bonus as well. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Need you is a very powerful love story full of love, laughter, tears, anger, surprises and delicious dishes. Wow! The mouth watering dishes!Terra Kelly made every page very enjoyable regardless of tears and anger involved. I like the bond Alyssa has with her lovely daughter Lexie, then there is the gorgeous Alex....I found the love scenes well created, shielding the innocence and the marriage proposal? There! Her imagination is spot on! I give her five stars for that. What a better way to propose to a woman! Very creative I must say.I loved it and all the families are very warm except Derek's Mother but that is to be expected, she is a mother grieving for her son.Need you is my type of book, I didn't want it to end, I scratched my kindle looking for more. I hope there is a follow up. Enjoyable!!!!!!!

This story has a great plot, well developed characters and lots of emotions. I really enjoyed the story, but I personally did not need to read the bedroom scenes. The story would have been perfect without the sex. I would have given the book 5 stars but I had to made a deduction because of the bedroom scenes.I loved the interaction between Alex and little Lexie. Lexie is a very lovable child who will steal your heart. The book is filled with emotions that will have you crying and laughing while you are reading it. I also like the recipes at the end of the book. Delicious.

Need You is the second book in The Winters Family series by Terra Kelly. This is becoming a must read series. It has wonderful characters and fantastic storylines! The main characters in this book are Alex Winters, Alyssa Benson & her daughter Lexie. With all the great characters, this series could go on for some time to come. All the books can be read as stand alone but why would you! I can't wait to read book three You're Mine!
