Broken Bliss Reviews
**** Stellar, Alaska, population 327. **** This is book two in this lovely series ! There is a twelve story building there that contains the whole town. It's a marvelous Aiden Bates Mpreg story ! Lawyer, Omega, Chris and Bad boy, Alpha, Raff, a director of drug rehab, a mechanic, and full time dad, have been together eight years, married for four. They have one year old Elizabeth/Bizzy. They'd met when Raff was on trial in NYC, wrongfully accused. Now they work in NYC, and do summers in Stellar's open atmosphere. They aren't typical Alpha/Omega because smaller, suit wearing Chris is the bread winner, and big muscled, motorcycle loving Raff is the stay at home dad. Chris is an "intentional" omega, which means he had a uterus implanted so they could have their own kids. We love this pair; each as wonderful as the other. Raff's history is super sad, but he prevailed. These two are completely devoted, approximately in their 30s, we see into their lives, their adventures, their struggles, and we see how they work things out. When Raff is threatened , blackmailed, the guys are a unit, protecting what is theirs. And with Chris pregnant again, they have lots to lose. We also see some flashes of the past; it cements us to them in present day.A smooth flowing plot, an amazing and unique tale, with hot sexy loving , too. The last chapter is a terrific epilogue. Highly recommend this one.ENJOY ! ========
Aiden Bates brings us back to Alaska for Broken Bliss and this book is focused on Chris and Raff and their family. I definitely enjoyed this book and like that Aiden switched things up a bit in this book. Instead of a new couple, meeting and falling in love, this book focuses on an already established and married couple and how they make their relationship work. He also brings a slightly different take on the alpha/omega relationship in this book too, and I enjoyed the differences. Raff, Chris and their daughter Elizabeth spend summers up in Alaska and live in New York the rest of the year. Raff is an alpha, he spends most of his time taking care of Elizabeth and works in a rehabilitation facility. He had a rough start at life, no family and raised in the system. He has a bit of a past but when he met defense attorney Chris it changed his life. Chris is a strong omega who works hard and is the main provider for the family. These two definitely have a wonderful connection, but when their story begins they are dealing with some difficulties in their relationship and just when it seems like they have it figured out and are reconnecting, a ghost from the past comes back and threatens their happiness all over again. I really enjoyed this story and seeing Chris and Raff work on their relationship together. These really are two great men who love each other and figure it out together. Things aren't always easy and their relationship is definitely challenged but it really was heartwarming to see the two men rely on each other to get through the tough times. This was a sweet, touching story with great love and friendships as well! A wonderful addition to the Alaska series and I'm already looking forward to more! *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is Book 2 in the Hot Alaska Nights Series. This book focuses on Raff and Chris. They spend their summers in Alaska while Chris sets up an office in Fairbanks. Raff is a part time counselor at a rehab facility and is the stay at home dad for their baby girl, Elizabeth.Raff has a troubles past. He was in foster care since he was an infant and is a recovering alcoholic. He was charged with art theft and that is how he met defense attorney, Chris Chambers. After Raff's case was over, he happened to run into Chris about a year later and they have been together ever since.Chris is busy getting his new office set up and he knows that it is taking time away from Raff and Elizabeth. He and Raff aren't as in sync as they used to be and Chris tries to get things back to how they used to be. They both love each other and are willing to do just about anything to make things work, not only for Elizabeth but for themselves. They are put to the test when someone from Raff's past comes back into his life threatening to reveal a secret Raff is ashamed of. He must fight to protect his growing family. This is my favorite book in the series so far. It was so much more in depth and I felt there was more character development than in the first book. It was very engaging and I was so taken in by Raff and Chris. They are a beautiful couple and their baby girl, Elizabeth (Bizzy) was just precious. I was sad to have their story end, but I am most definitely looking forward to what comes next in this series.I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This is the second book in Hot Alaska Nights Series. An entertaining book the writing was good. The plot was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were well developed and thought out. Chris and Raff are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, a hospital, bikers, a baby, blackmail, paparazzi, a DUI and so much more in this book. Here is a quote from the book, “Despite only having spent less than two full summers in Stellar, Raff already felt a strong connection to the wilderness here. He knew he looked like a proper New Yorker, with his street style and his somewhat Italian looking features (though, who really knew?), but on the mean streets of Brooklyn, he felt rather out of place. He liked to take his time, walk slow and look around, and the only place you could do that in NYC was Central Park…”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can recommend as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
MM. Alpha/Omega. Chris and Raff have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful life. Raff has battled foster homes, addiction, and an accusation of theft he went to court over. But married life is not all bliss and the couple's dynamic has changed and they have drifted apart. Trying to reclaim their intimacy is not easy with a child and being thrown back into the limelight. They are also not your stereotypical Alpha/Omega couple. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is truly amazing.. Aiden is an amazing author and this series is hitting it out of the ballpark for me.. Raff and Chris are wonderful.. i love how they are together and how they dont have the perfect relationship because things have changed but they love each other so much and fight to make it work out even more.. I also totally adore the opposite stereotypes for the alpha/omega world.. that is truly amazing. i am glad i got to review it
I loved that it featured an already committed couple and their daughter. This book was dramatic, cute and all around good. I honestly cannot wait for the next in the series!I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book
Lovely The expense was great from beginning to end. The characters were different, but complimented each other. Overall. Great love story.
The story and writing are strong and enjoyable. It's interesting to have an established couple's love story be so intriguing.
