I often find that the second book in a trilogy is just filler, not nearly as good as the first or the last. In this case, I have to say that I liked this book much better than the first one!Kali and her crew of Elders are facing the worst villain ever known in Arvata. In order to defeat him, they have to find parts to a special dagger that can kill him. We meet elves, fairies and vampires along the way and eventually the dagger is ready. But, can Kali kill Cassius? Or, will she die at his hands? The characters are well developed, the action is great and the adventures in the Otherworld are amazing! I can't wait to finish this saga!

This is a decent follow up to book 1 and fans of the series will love how the story develops and new characters and their POV enter the story. This story is full of adventure with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader hooked. The characters are loveable and memorable. Heather is a gifted YA author and I'm looking forward to seeing more from her in the future.

From the Falls has everything I found great in To the Falls, and is even more complete to me!Kali, Lucas and the other Elders (plus Lorelle, the healer) face some brand new challenges in this book. Half-Guardians aren't supposed to exist, but when it appears some have been found on Earth, it isn't all for the best. Alone there, with no one to protect them, they are vulnerable. And as some have powers of their own, their vulnerability could also be a danger... for a lot more people. A part of this book takes place on Earth, to find these half-guardians with strange powers and find a way to protect them. I liked this part, as in the first book, most of the action was on Arvata, and as it's connected to our world, I found it great to see more interaction between these two worlds.Another part, pretty epic, takes place somewhere else entirely, a place full of unknown and wonders, where Kali and her friends will have to prove themselves and save the world... again.Bad and good news will come along the way, as they do in life, and some surprises are to expect... This book is really good, I feel like Heather Renee improved her style and her story-telling talents even more with this second book, which mean I absolutely want to grab the next one! First because I want to know more about what's going to happen in Kali's world, and second because if the author improves everytime, it's bound to be a masterpiece!

From The Falls is the second book in The Falls trilogy. I really enjoyed this one and I liked how the story and the characters have progressed. The characters are so much more developed in their relationships and personalities. I was hooked from the start and am looking forward to finding out how it ends in the final book. Kali and Lucas are looking forward to their honeymoon but their plans soon change. Lorelle returns after being gone almost a year and she has news. There are half-guardians living on Earth that someone has created. They don't know if the half-guardians know about their powers or what powers they may have. Kali, Lucas and all the elders plus Lorelle head to Earth to try to find the half-guardians and bring them to Arvata. Then they find out about another danger and must travel to the Otherworld. Kali and some of the other guardians have only heard about it but have never been there. It is a world made up of many different types of paranormal and supernatural creatures and beings. They must do all they can to end the reign of terror being caused and return to Avarta. There are many twists, turns and surprises in this installment. The story just keeps getting better and I'm liking the new characters that we meet. Overall I really liked it and recommend it if you love fantasy.

This is the 2nd book in a series from Heather Renee. So don't skip To the Falls. You need to read it first to understand this book or you're lost. Just FYI.Ok...moving on. Kali and Logan have become an amazing couple. <3 In this book the world they live in gets much deeper. Things become much more intense. On earth, people need help. They are special. And there's a bad guy(of course) that's causing a serious problem and it falls to the Elders to handle. But there is also humor, happiness and tragedy. I can't get get too much into the storyline without spoilers. All I can say is it's an awesome 2nd book. I enjoyed the way the author added depth to the world that she created. It's absolutely a book that needs to be on your shelf or kindle. Amazing book from a great author. Can't wait for the next in the series.DawnBee <3

From the Falls, second installment in the Guardians of Arvata, takes us on a journey with our favorite characters and lets us get to know a few new ones. I really enjoyed the different scenery and meeting new characters. The world building of the market place and description of beings never before seen in the series was fantastic and I hope we see more of it in the next installment. I really enjoyed reading Kali's story; front to back in one sitting, and am greatly looking forward to more. The surprises in this book were perfect, the dialogue was playful, and description of the places they journeyed was great. There is so much Heather Renee can do with this series, so many places she can take it, and I look forward to falling into the stories and seeing her world from her eyes.

This book was okay. I liked the first one slightly better. It was a bit boring, and Kali was acting like an adult too much. She never had a teenage freakout moment, she was just maybe a bit too perfect? Lucas was the same way. He was continuously calm and collected. It was almost as though everyone was born perfect. It bugged me a bit. Jordan was my favorite. She was the only person actually acting her age. She joked around, and became the adult when the time called for it. I liked her. Some of the emotions in the book were maybe a bit too exaggerated. I'm not saying it was a bad book, it just wasn't that exciting or as adventurous as I expected it to be. The writing was good - no problems there, and the overall plot was good as well.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It continues from not too long after the story told in To The Falls (book 1) left off, and this book is packed with emotion. Just enough romance, humor, surprise, and fast paced action...and even a bit of sorrow. It's hard to read this series and not empathize with Kali and her social circle the entire way through the adventures and perils they face in this novel. I would recommend this novel to individuals that enjoy adventure with a bit of romance and off kilter chatter between close friends. I received a copy of this ebook for free from the author, but I wanted to share my honest opinion here voluntarily.

From The Falls picks up roughly about a month after To The Falls ends. We're reunited with the gang and quickly head off on the next adventure. We get a more indepth look at Kali, Lucas, and the other guardians and we see their dynamic relationships growing in the face of hard times. We learn about a new type of people called Half Guardians, and one in particular who is a strong, fantastic new addition to the gang. I like that we aren't left on a cliffhanger, but there is something extra special at the end so make sure you get there! Plus. Strix. Give him to me now. This is a fun, clean read and I would recommend it to the younger crowd hands down.

Excellent sequelThis book is awesome. I am definitely making my home in Otherworld because I'm a Dark Heart but even the dark can help the light when balance needs to be put back in place. Too often the second book on the trilogy is monotonous or just thrown together to get the conclusion. I am happy to say this book is as good as the first. Its got a little of everything and I find myself still caring about the main characters even after the initial spark of the relationship has passed. Excellent job Heather! Can't wait for book three!

Kali’s adventures continue in “From the Falls”, book 2 of the Guardians of Arvata series by Heather Renee. I really enjoyed her new adventures and it was great to get to know all the characters better. Of course with a new book comes new characters and the added characters were awesome. I really enjoyed Miah, a half-guardian who is strong and brave. So many new adventures that will draw you in and keep you on your toes as you read and some surprises that will warm your heart. Don’t miss out of reading about Kali and the other Elder’s adventure.

The thrilling sequel to To the Falls, From the Falls is an action-packed ride from start to finish. New powers, creatures, and plot twists galore fill this story to the brim. With this excellent follow-up to her debut, Heather Renee immersed her readers fully in Arvata, as well as the other worlds in her universe. All our favorite characters from the first book return, and new favorites are introduced. From the Falls will not disappoint, and I for one can't wait to see what's in store for Arvata in the upcoming third installment, Embracing the Falls.

From The Falls continues Kali's story about a year after To The Falls left off. Kali and Lucas are settling into life as newlyweds and as Elders when they find out half-Guardians are living among humans on Earth. The mere existence of half-Guardians threatens Earth, Arvata, and the Otherworld, so Kali and the other Elders must find out how to protect them and their world. This continuation of The Falls Trilogy has everything you need: action and adventure, vampires and succubi, fairies and elves, friendship and romance. I can't wait to read what comes next in Kali's (and Miah's) adventure.

I received an ARC from the author which in no way influenced me at the moment of writing this review.. I liked the story and I gotta say while it picks up a year after it kept the flow going rather well, I found the half guardian thing interesting but in my I opinion it got kind of sappy around the couples but hey what the hell do I know I'm single hahaha regardless of the dead on the final chapters I enjoyed this book

I love this addition to the series. The author draws the reader in with vivid descriptions and characters that the reader wants to learn more about. I loved the first book in the series and this has only gotten better. The addition of new characters enriches the story. I want to move to Arvata too- well, minus any villains. I highly recommend this book and series. I can't wait for the next part of the story.

I adored To The Falls it had so much potential.. From the Falls has so much exceeded my expectations. The characters have so much more depth. The introduction of half guardians is amazing the inclusion of them into the society without prejudice is not often seen in novels and I quite enjoyed it. This book has layers. I love layers. Thank you Heather again for sharing your world. I cannot wait for more.

This is the second book in The Falls Trilogy, and I have to say I loved it as much as I loved book one! You get a deeper look into the characters, and you get half-guardians! How awesome is that?? Heathers characters are amazing, and these books are so well written. I saw a review that said that this book is great for YA and New Adult readers, and I couldn't agree more! So read this if you haven't!!

In From the Falls about a month has passed since Kali and her friend have become Elders. They have learned more about their abilities and their role in Arvata. From the Falls exceeds the pace, action and world building in To the Falls. The concept of the Half Guardians is introduced and is really interesting. Without adding spoilers, I will say there are some really emotional moments in From the Falls. There are new worlds to explore and some great new characters. This book follows up To the Falls really well and leaves us hungry for the third book.

This installment of The Falls Trilogy takes us on a new journey to fight 'the darkness'. Kali and the Elders are facing new trials and unknown enemies whose reach is far, while needing to convince teenagers who don't fit in, that the best course of action is to "follow me, if you want to live." *Snicker* (I challenge you to read that without doing the Terminator voice! 😂)New enemies and a dangerous road, but friends (and Merakis) are forever! A fun read.

After reading From the Falls, I still can't believe this is only the second book Heather has published. This was a fast paced quick read that I finished in a day. To describe this book is difficult without revealing spoilers but I will say, I loved reading about half guardians. Lastly, few books make me cry and this was one of them.

This is an interesting follow up to the first book in the series and very nicely, and sweetly carries on the story of Kali and Logan. The author is building up a world that has plenty of potential for the future and I will be interested to see what she writes next.
