His Vengeful Seduction, Her Flaming Revenge Reviews
This book had me sucked in from the first page. The characters were very developed and the back stories were told smoothly. I could feel the tension between Pierce and Malabo and watching how they grew and the trust issues. This was the ultimate love story and I'm disappointed it didn't win. I totally loved this book and will be added to my read again books.
Bemy Wells did a good job writing this book. I gave 4 stars for lack of depth in the story line. I wanted to see more of the characters backstory and some details that created a connection to them as people. While this is a good read, that I am nominating in my book club, it didn't go as deep as I thought it would. However, that is just my opinion based on my reading preference. I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. I also was expecting more ethnic characters, based on the cover art, but they seemed to all be non-descript. It reminds me of R.M Johnson's The Million Dollar Divorce.Pierce Devlin and Malani Hunter have a hatred for one another that spans the Grand Canyon. Now, Pierce and Malani are out for blood, each other's to be exact. Pierce Devlin is the reason Malani aches inside for a mother she could never have, at least that's who is getting the blame. Which she fully intends for him to pay for, one way or the other. Pierce hates Malani with everything in his being. She of course the daughter of Sahana Hunter, the woman who ripped his family to shreds, and left a hole in her wake. Pierce has plans to take her daughter down a peg, just for sport. Neither wants to admit that just maybe, they should make love not war. His Vengeful Seduction, Her Flaming Revenge takes you a fast ride of vengeance, that may leave more dead bodies in its wake, than before!
Interesting Read (Needs Work) I am giving this book 3.5 stars. The author had a great concept for a book. It held me captive in some parts and other parts I was bored. I found myself rolling my eyes. She had too many things going and certain parts things were not answered for me. For an instance her Malani mother Sahana went into rehab and you didn’t hear anything about that character again. What happened? Did mother and daughter finally talk about there feelings? I feel like they needed that closure to add depth to both Malani and Sahana characters. I wish she really would take it down and redo certain parts because this book has a lot of potential. Going forward I think I might read future books by her. Happy Reading!
