I'm sorry to be a braggy cunt, but yes, I already got my grabby hands on this. To be fair, I did request this book be written about five seconds after meeting Brad in Shuttergirl so it's only fair. I'm still all swoony and smiley and a little flushed and I'm sorry you have to wait until May 1st but you do & it will be so worth it.

5 "I can't stop thinking about this book" stars Absolutely excellent. I wasn't even planning on reading this book because I'm not really into heroes that are Hollywood stars! But I got an early copy and I thought I would take a peek at it, and that peek turned into the ENTIRE book read in a day(ish)! It's amazing. Also, have I mentioned how impeccable C.D. Reiss writes in previous reviews? If not, I have to say it again. There is NO ONE who writes quite like her. It's so crisp and fluid and direct. Her words and her lines are just so damn direct. There's a realism to her books that I don't think you can find in many other romance fiction novels. I was reading this and I just felt like I was transplanted in LA, in Hollywood, with these characters and it felt like current day, real life. I am so impressed by her. Really... I have such a fucking crush on the way she tells a story. There is no doubt that this writer knows how to write a good book, and Bombshell was thoroughly engrossing. Full review to come.

5 The Gift That Keeps On Giving Stars* * * * * Spoiler Free IT'S LIVE!!!!Over the past years, I have read many gifted authors. We all have...and we all think we have a handle on exactly what we will get when we purchase their works. There is a comfort and excitement in a new work...Comfort because we are back in the hands of someone we know who will give us a story which will take us places we either wish to return if it is a series...or a new undiscovered arena which causes all sorts of anticipation. We know we can trust these authors and give them the time they and their works deserve. We also have authors who astound us. They have the ability to push boundaries... to make us confront situations on paper we would not be inclined to in real life. They take us not by the hand but sometimes by the throat and force us to see things and experience them so deeply...we must catch our breath as we read. And then there are the very few...the ones who can do it all....Give you whatever you are looking for in their vast array of works....the Dark/The Romantic/The Erotic .... the combination of all... and then the more Contemporary Romantic...but still with the authentic, consistent style of the author...Which leads me to C.D. Reiss....I know I have touched on this before... but with this new book Bombshell, I really wanted to focus on what I found so truly amazing about it. This could easily have been classified any number of ways..."The Forbidden Father/ Nanny Scenario"or the "He is a Star and I am Just Me Deal"...or the "Throw it All Together with a Cute Kid just for the Awe Factor..."But Don't Do That...Because you will have missed everything that this was all about and how artfully it was done. Very few authors work other characters from past works in as well as Reiss. Reiss takes the location she lives and breaths...the life and times she knows completely from her own life and ones she has created...and weaves them in so subtly, if you are not an avid reader, you will miss the nods. She has been doing this from the first books I have read of hers... and continues to work this magic into almost everything she writes.Bombshell's blurb gives a very accurate, simple description... and basically that is the story...But the way C.D. Reiss takes what could have been run of the mill and makes it so much of an Insider's Truth to this Lifestyle of the Hollywood takes the premise to a whole other level. She takes everything you have been reading/watching over the years... all the Grocery Rags; The Enquirer, Star, TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, etc...and breaks it open...She gives you a man who is complicated but also so human...A man who had been manipulated and also allowed it because of his driving ambition...This man has his life change overnight. The only person he can see who is able to make his heart stop having panic attacks and feel as if he could do this monumental task is this woman who wants nothing to do with him.And this "Wonder Woman"...she is immediately lovable to the reader...We adore her right away. She is smart, so witty. (The only thing I will share specifically about this book is my delight in the opening scenes...Never have I read anything that felt so real, hysterical and perfect...It brought back to so many personal memories of my Motherhood years, tears were running down my face from laughter)She is also a good friend to another woman who has made the Ultimate Nanny Mistake.Oh, what mistake is that you ask....Well, it is when the "AssHat High Profile Father of the Kids the Nanny is in charge of...makes the play and pretends he loves her, Beds her, Tells Her he is leaving the wife and they GET CAUGHT Mistake. "Yeah... That One. So we have our Amazing Gal...the Hollywood Super Star Talent and then to make things too good to be true...The Daughter....This Kid Is EVERYTHING....Not Too Sweet, Not a Brat, She is Human and Real... and Brilliant. I want her. No, I Cannot Have her and Neither Can You... Because she is C.D.'s.But We Can All Love Her.So, this book has it all but more... it has an edge the Forbidden Readers will gobble up...It has the Romance and Erotic Chemistry which will set the Kindles on fire....Balanced with all of the additional plot points which will make you want to read this till the very end. The Heart Factor is through the roof because when you experience the kind of moments that are part of this book, I dare you to not feel anything.EVERYTHING WORKS. OK I'm done. That is my 2 cents...This is totally a stand alone... But if you would like to know a little bit more about some of the other characters in this story... then read Shuttergirl. I have a sneaky suspicion this is not going stay a stand alone for long....In my head I hear Hollywood A-List #2 calling.... **Spoiler Alert**Sigh. Where to begin?Bombshell had much potential; however, the premise of an ordinary girl falling for her "movie heartthrob" of a boss has been done before and with much better results, imo.*sips tea, puts on glasses*Here we goCara Dumont, the nanny.Brad Sinclair, the bossNicole, the daughter, also the reason this book got 2 stars. To summarize, when Brad- unexpectedly- discovers he has a five-year-old daughter, he hightails it to West Side Nannies which is how he met Cara. Seeing as how Nicole had been crying incessantly, Brad is shocked and pleased when Cara magically convinces the little girl to stop the tears, thereafter, he wanted no other nanny but her. Here's the thing: This initial meeting smacks of some serious providential intervention, aka Deus Ex Machina. It just seemed so contrived, done- presumably- to manipulate a scenario for the two characters to meet.Think about it. Why would Brad, who is a mega movie star, come to WSN instead of them going to him? Can you at least see why this "serendipity" aggravates? Moving on to the main characters.Brad. One word. Simple. He was patently one dimensional and a personification of every movie star cliche. Yawn.Cara. Two words. Utterly forgettable. Not only that, she came off as standoffish, unemotional and boringNicole Three words. Abso-frigging-adorable. She's the reason this book did not end up as a big fat DNF.Let's talk about the lurve. It was decidedly underwhelming and unconvincing (IMO); additionally, I couldn't quite shake the thought that proximity influenced their lust for each other. All of the above aside, my biggest problem with the book was the writing style which is a common thread with every CDR book I've read. Sentences are written in a staccato and choppy manner. As if writing a compound sentence goes against her beliefs. As if conjunctions and subordinations cost money. As if writing a sentence with more than 10 words is a feat. Overall, Bombshell could have been an entertaining read had the characters had more depth; also, a little bit of humor wouldn't have hurt.p.s. To read an engaging plot and character driven story about a movie star and an ordinary heroine, try Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre.

Bombshell5 "Teacup" StarsSweet, Funny, Sexy, Romance.......this book had it all. It was a perfect love story that made me smile, laugh, sigh and gave me a wonderful HEA!! (The epilogue was absolutely perfect)Brad Sinclair, Hollywood Bad Boy, gets a shock when he finds out he's a father to a 5 yr old. He can barely take care of himself so he needs to get himself a nanny. Enter Cara DuMont, nanny extraordinaire, but who doesn't nanny to celebrity single dads. But when Cara meets Brad and his Bombshell, Nicole, she knows that her life may never ever be the same.I would like to say that Nicole stole the story for me. She was adorable, spunky, sweet, and sassy extraordinaire. Her interactions between Brad and Cara were endearing. And most importantly, Cara was a lifesaver in poor little Nicole's world that was thrown completely upside down. Cara was also the tether between Brad and Nicole that created calm and safely. But Brad and Nicole were also lifesaving for Cara. The three of them connected in the most touching of ways.Brad and Cara started their relationship platonically. While they each felt a spark, boundaries were set and they created a friendship first. They respected one another and saw the realness in one another. It was a sweet courtship in a sea of "Celebrity Dad" and "Beautiful Nanny" craziness. Brad also returned to his home with Nicole and Cara in Arkansas and let life play out there for awhile. His family, his friends all enhanced the story. Everybody's past shapes them and sometimes going home, to a place of safety helps to clear the mind and figure out what's important in your life. This book was an adorable love story with a perfect side of sexy. I would recommend for anyone who loves romance, humor and a sweet sassy 5 yr old. A story that will leaving you smiling for days because -Dreams Do Come True Teacup ❤️❤️*advanced copy provided by Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review*

*****FOUR TEACUP STARS*****{ARC Generously Provided by Author}He was as beautiful as ever, but starkly human. Flawed beyond belief. Emotional and broken. He needed me to fill his empty places and in letting me do that, he filled mine. She had to know who I was. She had to see me because I’d opened myself to her. I hadn’t opened up to anyone, and I realized how much I needed her to see that. To know that she stood inside the open door of my heart.Fans of romances involving a single father are really going to enjoy this book and I'm positive that BOMBSHELL is going to be another huge hit for C.D. Reiss. The hero in this one is a drop dead gorgeous Hollywood A-List actor who can melt the panties off of any woman with just a wink and a dimpled grin. Brad Sinclair will have many a reader fanning themselves over his sexy filthy talking prowess and swooning over the tenderness he showers over his little five-year-old daughter, Nicole.Brad Sinclair is one of the most sought-after Hollywood actors and he’s just recently been given the surprise of his life when he is told that he has a five-year-old daughter that he never even knew existed. If her mother hadn't passed away, he never would have known that he was a father. Brad is in way over his head and so he is in search of a Nanny that can help take care of Nicole while he’s out filming movies.Cara Dumont recently lost a job as a nanny for a couple of kids she really loved. There was absolutely nothing going on between Cara and her boss but for whatever reason, his fiancé felt threatened which ultimately led to her job’s termination. Cara ends up meeting Brad’s little girl during a highly upsetting situation and she seems to be the only person that has a calming effect on Nicole, and Brad becomes more than determined to hire Cara as his daughter’s Nanny. The only problem is that Cara’s friend was applying for that job and she actually has no desire whatsoever to work for a Hollywood celebrity. She’s seen how things can go wrong in those situations and never wants to end up on the pages of any gossip magazines, being labeled a “homewrecker” or a “whore”. But Brad Sinclair always gets his way and whatever he and his daughter wants, they surely get. Cara agrees to stay on as a temporary Nanny. She knows she is in serious trouble when she can’t seem to control her naughty daydreams that all showcase her current boss, and she’s not the only one having impure thoughts. Brad is also wildly attracted to Cara as well, however, his bad boy behavior and reputation help to keep Cara’s defenses up. There’s also the fact that she takes her job as a Nanny very seriously and always puts the welfare and happiness of the child she is caring for over any kind of wants or desires that she may have for herself. As Cara becomes more enmeshed in Brad’s life, lines are being crossed and soon they are giving into the white hot passion that has been building between them. C.D. Reiss delivers her signature sinfully decadent steam that her fans have come to love about her stories! I needed many a moment to cool myself off!!BOMBSHELL releases on May 1st. LIVE! Such a lovely, lovely read. I swooned and smiled and loved the characters of this sweet, sweet, beautiful swoon worthy romance about a Hollywood superstar and his unassuming Nanny. Brad Sinclair becomes a newly single father when he discovers a Bombshell in the form of his 5-year-old daughter. With literally no clue of how to care for the child his first task and the opening gambit of this story is to find a suitable Nanny for Nicole a character instrumental in the sweet and lovely factor of this romantic STANDALONE story. Brad's life as superstar playboy changes beyond recognition which is the clear impetus for the development of his bad boy persona who easily won my heart with his sexy good looks, charismatic charm, flaws and vulnerabilities. He's perfectly matched with Cara, experienced Nanny and all round wonderful human being. Both protagonists think they knew where they stand, know the terms of their agreement, an agreement centred around the well-being of the child, but what neither of them expect is to find love and this is where the story develops so wonderfully and gave me all those highly desirable butterfly feelings. I basked in the fairy tale romance and delighted in the magic of the story arc as it took me on a sweet romantic journey with characters who show the perfect level of development and heart. #Bombshell #ContemporaryRomance Advance copy provided for my honest review thoughts *★ Graphics created by me with stock photos I purchased from deposit photos ★

Brad Sinclair is a Hollywood movie star who just got a beautiful and crying five-year-old little girl: his daughter Nicole who he didn’t even know existed. Between woman and parties Brad doesn’t even know how he took care of himself throughout the years, so taking care of a kid is definitely not one of his talents. Giving that, his only option is to get a nanny who will do the work for him.Cara DuMont has been a nanny for a few years and her biggest fear is to end up as a joke at a magazine cover. So her job is simple: take care of the kids and not get attached (more important, do not get attached to the daddy). And that hasn’t been hard until Nicole (as well as Brad’s looks) stole her heart. After his daughter stopping the crying because of Cara, Brad is convinced she will be the only one capable of taking care of Nicole. But Cara knows his reputation and she’s not about to ruin her career because of a desperate daddy, so how is it gonna be?This book had so much potential. I was really excited to reading it, but that excitement disappeared when I started the book. The storyline was interesting but it kind of was too light. There’s some secrets involved but you don’t know their existence until they’re dropped in your lap out of nowhere. There’s no suspense or that wait you have to suffer to get to what you want. And that made the book a lot dull instead of exciting. Cause it have all it needed to be a lot exiting but it wasn’t, at least to me. On the bright side, Nicole is such a doll. So sweet and so grown-up. Her relationship with Cara is also really endearing as well as with Brad. Of course, there’s sexy and hot scenes although I couldn’t really feel the intensity of them.

Pokes head out from under rock *whispers this is my first time read by this author* slinks back under rock..A standalone romance about a Nanny, a Hollywood star, and a love they never expected. Bombshell by CD Reiss is the first instalment in the Hollywood A-List series and is spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives. In this instalment we meet Hollywood elite bad boy Brad Sinclair, his nanny Cara DuMont, her best friend Blakely and the most adorable five year old you could ever wish to read about. You zip it..Lock it..Put it in your pocket..Hollywood bad boy Brad Sinclair unbeknown to him six years before he became famous had a brief fling which resulted in a child which he didn't know about. Brad had been contacted as next of kin as his name was on the deceased mother's birth certificate as being the father of her child, the mother had died suddenly in a freeway accident. Life as the party goer was going to change in the blink of an eye.Cara unexpectedly became this little girl Nicole's nanny by default for a month until a more suitable child minder could be found. She was used to working alongside celebrities and actors.A slow burn is lit under Brad and Cara which slowly ignites into a roaring out of control fire, even though they both tried to fight their attraction as much as they could once lit it wouldn’t go out. I wanted a real home. A stable person to spend my life with, and they were in short supply. I hadn't given up; I'd just stopped looking for a man. This guy could ruin me. He had all the tools to do it. He was gor-geous and laid-back. He listened when I spoke and had a daughter who was just about perfect. What I enjoyed about this was the lack of angst, drama, it was just a straightforward romance which made it so much more believable, there was no sugar coating of the story which for me was like a breath of fresh air. I loved the whole glitz and glamour of this story, the unique first meet between them had me loving this story from the get go..

Audiobook Review at Of Pens and Pages.Overall Rating: 4 starsStory Rating: 3.5 starsPerformance Rating: 5 starsSTORY OVERVIEW AND REVIEW:Hollywood actor Chad Sinclair doesn’t know how to take care of a child, let alone a daughter, but when his five-year-old daughter from a long-forgotten marriage comes to live with him, he has no choice but to learn. First on the agenda—hire a nanny.Cara DuMont has been a nanny for the children of the rich and elite in Hollywood, and she’s great at it. Her only preference in choosing her employers—no celebrities. She knows the risks of working for a celebrity, and she has no time for wandering hands and snooping tabloids. When her best friend asks for her help in fixing a poopy disaster in the agency bathroom involving a hysterical five-year-old, Cara finds herself becoming Chad Sinclair’s top choice as his daughter’s nanny. She refuses at first, of course. But she knows the guy needs help, and Nicole is an angel, so she’ll do it temporarily, at least until Chad finds a replacement for her. But with each day she spends at the Sinclair abode, not only does she fall in love with the beautiful little girl, she’s starting to fall for the Hollywood big shot, too. And she doesn’t know if all the trouble and drama that comes with falling for a celebrity is worth it.I like that Chad didn’t automatically switch from total Hollywood bad boy to doting father the moment Nicole came into his life. I know that sounds bad, but hear me out. Chad’s a guy who’s used to partying and having fun while working hard as an actor. He never imagined he’d have a child—no matter how adorable she is—dropped in his lap out of nowhere at this stage in his life, so it’s not like he’ll jump for joy for it. It showed his character growth when he was finally opening up and trying, really trying, to be a good and active father for Nicole. The guy made some pretty bad decisions, some I hated. He hid some things from Cara out of selfishness, and he was pretty self-centered at the start of the story. But like I’ve said, the guy had a lot of growing up to do in this story.I like Cara’s relationship with Nicole. She was a solid and caring person, if not a little distant at first. She knows what it’s like to be disregarded, to not be the priority of her parents, so she wants to do her best to make the kids she’s taking care of don’t feel that way. She knows she shouldn’t be with Chad, and although she resisted at first, she just couldn’t resist. It frustrated me at times, but oh well.I would have wanted to see more interactions between Chad and Cara to show the progress of their emotional attachment, but most of their conversations and interactions merely highlighted the growing physical attraction they have for each other. Their feelings went beyond that, of course, but I just didn’t see that as much as I would have liked. That’s why I’m rating the story 3.5 stars.WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT THE AUDIOBOOK?First of all, Christian Fox sounds like Chris Evans. Is it just me? Am I the only one who thinks so??? The first time I heard that man speaking, my heart skipped a beat. Both Christian and Andi Arnt—my favorite female narrator—were amazing in their portrayals of the lead characters and the supporting characters. After listening to this audiobook, I bought other audiobooks narrated by Christian Fox. I have a crush. Haha! And all that dirty talk. My ears still feel hot haha!Andi’s voice was soothing and pleasant to listen to and it was just what I imagined as Cara’s voice. I could tell when she was reading a different character’s line (a problem I’ve had in other audiobooks I’ve read), and I could feel the emotions seeping through my earphones. For me, their performance was a solid 5 stars.WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS AUDIOBOOK TO A FRIEND? IF SO, WHY?Yes. It wasn’t my favorite Hollywood book, but it’s still pretty entertaining and hot, especially Christian’s parts. Plus, Andi and Christian performed so wonderfully in this one that I think you should still give it a try.Tropes: Boss-Employee, Nanny, Celebrities—Actor, Single FatherPOV: First Person, Dual POVStandalone: Yes Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram

➦Somewhere around 3.5 stars... I loved parts of this book and it was, overall, a pretty enjoyable read. If you're a fan of "celebrity falls for a regular girl" trope or a "single dad falls for a nanny trope", then by all mean, do give this one a shot! ➦Brad, the hero is a famous movie star, who finds himself in a bit of a pickle. You see, a little girl unexpectedly comes into his life. His daughter lost her mother and now needs him to step up and be a dad. Slight problem, though. Brad is a notorious party boy and doesn't exactly qualify to be a parent. But he's determined to try. First thing: get a nanny.➦And this is where the heroine of the story comes in. A professional nanny who is able to connect with his daughter and make Brad's life easier. Or harder. Which one is it? It's complicated, ok? ➦I enjoyed all parts of the book, especially the ending. It was touching and played on my emotions for sure. What didn't quite work for me was the insta-lust. Even though this book is pretty slow burn, these two main characters start having perverted thoughts the second they see each other. I would have preferred a little bit more interaction between them and more of a gradual relationship progression. I don't know, something just didn't quite work for me. It happens. ➦The little girl was adorable and I'm sure will steal the hearts of so many readers. I did, however, think that she warmed up to the hero and the heroine way too fast. She made it so easy for them, especially her dad. He started out pretty much as a stranger to her and I just felt like there needed to be some bonding scenes between just him and her. I wished for a gradual buildup of their relationship here too. ➦Overall, an enjoyable book and is recommended to those who like reading book about famous people falling for us regular folk. :)

4.5 starsEven so I have read other nanny-employer books – Bombshell (Hollywood A-List #1) by C.D. Reiss tackled the trope in a very refreshing way.L.A., celebrities, nannies – the topic is as real as the book depicts it. Trust me I speak from experience. It’s as over the top, as extravagant and as ludicrous as described. I think that’s why I had SO MUCH FUN reading this book. Because it was so entirely true.Bombshell had me cracking up!!!I loved the unique approach, and the slow burn that slowly turned into an inferno. Cara DuMont took her job seriously but she also realized the attraction that she felt towards her employer wouldn’t just dissipate. And Brad Sinclair acknowledged that he liked the looks of his nanny but he didn’t intent to do anything about it. They both had genuinely good intention of not letting it grow into something complicated. And kept it professional until one fateful night.I really liked that they fought their attraction and tried to keep it professional – until they buckled under the weight of their lust for each other and sexual frustration.Brad Sinclair was wonderfully delicious, straight forward, a bit overwhelmed with his newest responsibility but also genuine in his feelings toward fatherhood.Cara DuMont, a wonderful nanny and a level-headed, down to earth kind of women, told it how she saw it. She’s seen and heard everything by then, experienced all kinds of arrangements and situations that were a norm in celebrity families – nothing could faze her anymore.I loved Brad and Cara’s genuine connection, it wasn’t all physical. They bonded over Brad’s daughter, presented an united front, and weathered ups and downs like grownups – ok plus a little drama. 😀Bombshell was absolutely a ‘my kind’ of story.I was grinning, chuckling and laughing out loud. I was shaking my head and grinning from ear to ear – all in all I had a fabulous time. This novel was everything I could have hoped for in a book — a TOP FAVORITE and an immediate recommendation!!Even so this book is the first book in a new series called Hollywood A-List – the characters from ShutterGirl (The Hollywood Project, #1) made an appearance – and if you liked ShutterGirl as much as I did you will love Bombshell without a doubt.I’m coming straight out and say I LOVE this series. And I can’t wait to read more about Hollywood A-List!! Bring it ON!!For more of my reviews:My Blog: Happily Ever AfterFacebook Blog PageTwitterSubscribe to Blog

✭✭✭ NOW LIVE ON AMAZON ✭✭✭Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books✭✭✭ 5 "Put It In My Pocket" Stars ✮✮✮Tinseltown's notorious but immensely talented and sinfully gorgeous bad boy Brad Sinclair has to clean up his act when he learns that he has a daughter of five. Nicole is the result of a fling six years ago, one he has completely forgotten about. Now he needs a reliable nanny, one who knows her field of work but doesn't interfere too much. There is one who left a lasting impression, not only because she could stop his daughter from crying.“I don’t know if you know this, Miss, but I don’t take no for an answer. That one in the bathroom is the one I want. She’s the only one who’s been able to stop that little girl from crying since she landed in my hands a week ago.”Enter Cara DuMont. She is one of the best, her reputation is untainted and there is a reason for it. She does not take clients who are celebrities, actors or other socialites who could land her on the cover of a magazine. She didn't count on Brad's tenacity. She agrees to stay for a very limited time, after that he would have to find another caretaker for his daughter.Cara fights her attraction to Brad with tooth and nails. She has seen how getting involved with your boss can destroy your reputation if the paparazzi smell a juicy story. Cara tries to keep her relationship with both Nicole and Brad strictly professional. Unfortunately she is in the habit to fall in love with the kids she takes care of.Cara is an endearing heroine and while all that glitz and glamour of Hollywood is fake she comes across as real, down-to-earth. She has a no-nonsense attitude and calls it as she sees it, and that includes Brad. She made me comfortable, which was uncomfortable. She had a soft, seductive voice that never tried to seduce me. Around her, I wanted to make a go of the daddy thing.Brad is a big child at first. He parties, he is known to f*ck around and he's selfish. Being a single daddy all of a sudden totally cramps his style. Yet, despite all that he is also charismatic, cheeky, and listens to what Cara has to say.He was likeable for a hundred reasons he got paid good money for. But there was more to him. He was genuine. He listened. He was open to change yet stalwart in his beliefs. He spent his money on things that pleased him or minimized inconvenience, not status objects. He never pretended to be more than he was but didn’t suffer from insecurity or false humility. He was who he was. Utterly and authentically.Sometimes you see glimpses of his southern upbringing. It's incredibly charming and makes him irresistible. When he hires Cara Brad gets more than he bargained for. He didn't expect the nanny to point out his deficiencies in parenting. But all hope is not lost - from the moment Brad falls in love with his daughter you can see some major growth."You turned this bombshell from six years ago into a family. You’re a magician. Do you know? I wasn’t ready for that little girl, and now I am. I can still be me and have a family."Both of them struggle with their attraction and growing feelings. There is a lot of mutual respect despite their conflicts and based on that and their love for Brad's daughter they develop a friendship. It's a slow burn until they take their relationship to the next level but once they do it's an inferno. Yes, there are secrets and dishonesty but I could forgive those because they never came from a bad place. From this author's Song of Submission series I know that she writes some super-steamy scenes. These are strictly vanilla but not any less hot.CD Reiss's writing is humorous with a good dose of snark, but there is also a lot of feeling. Some things only become clear later. I laughed about a piece of dialogue only to realize a couple of pages later how sad and literal the words actually were. I loved both characters, they both had their flavor of charm and together they made a delightful mix. I also adored their relationship with Nicole who almost stole the show.“I love you, and I’m always here for you. Please always remember that.”She put her hands on my cheeks. “Okay,” she whispered close to my face. She poked the inner corner of my eye. “Why are you crying?”“I’m afraid you’ll forget.”“I won’t.” She put her fingertips to my lips then twisted them. “I’ll take it, lock it.” Her fingertips went to the breast pocket that wasn’t there. “Put it in my pocket.”I laid my hand over the place where she’d put my love. “Keep it forever.”“I will. It’s pink. I don’t throw away pink things.”In order to retain credibility because of my on-going streak of 5 stars I was looking for flaws in this book. I really tried. I didn't find any. I loved this story so much I can't give it any less than 5 stars. Good thing that I realized today that this is going to be a series too. I am definitely going to read the next installment!

Nanny and single dad romance will never be the same!If you’re looking for a nanny and single celebrity dad romance that is WAY WAY beyond taboo smut, then Bombshell is 100% what you are looking for. A great story that will keep you hooked until the very end. The angst is pretty simple, and honestly it involves things that anyone who follows pop culture has seen before. All in all a great extremely well written read!

CD Reiss is an exceptional writer. She has finely tuned her craft and creates works that are sophisticated, smart, sexy, and engaging! Bombshell is completely different from her previous works I've read, but not less entertaining. It's one of my new favorites! Here's the breakdown: Brad Sinclair is a Hollywood A-lister who goes from party animal to single dad in the blink of an eye. Needless to say, he's in over his head and has no idea how to parent a five year old little girl. He consults a firm to hire a nanny, but is unsuccessful in hiring the nanny he wants. Being a hotshot actor has it's perks, so he pursues her until he wears her down. The chase was so much fun! What I loved: You guessed it! The cute kid! Nicole is so true to life (trust me, I have a little girl). In fact, all the characters are. This is where the author excels. Her characters are real and sometimes larger than life. They jump off the page and imprint themselves on the reader. The writing is superb. The storyline is exceptional. And the emotional aspect of the story is executed perfectly. I can't imagine inheriting the responsibility of a small human without expecting it, especially while maintaining a lifestyle that's in complete opposition of being a family man. Whew! The attention to detail. This is one of the reasons I truly enjoy the authors writing. It's authentic and well researched or born from firsthand experiences. I have no idea how Hollywood homes operate and how much staff is necessary. Getting that sneak peek engaged me in the action.Overall, I highly recommend this light, fun, sexy read! It's authentic, real, engaging, and well constructed. Brad, Nicole, and Cara will definitely capture your attention and heart!

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest reviewCD Reiss is such a versatile author who continues to deliver stories that leaves readers very satisfied and craving for more of her sinful prose. And in her latest new release,Bombshell Reiss does it again as she slays romance fans with her sexy, intriguing, palpable and oh so swoonworthy love story between a single Hollywood dad actor and his daughter’s nanny. I want to fuck you right here, teacup.” “The engraved invitation’s in the mail.” I raised my leg over his waist and he tucked his hand behind my knee. “It says, ‘Your dick is cordially invited to come inside.”Since this book was one of those reads that I practically inhaled, I feel it’s my duty to not spoil this book for readers. Trust me when I tell you that CD Reiss puts her own fun twist on the single dad/nanny romance that will for sure leave you smiling and swooning like crazy. So if you are looking for a story that packs heat, romance, passion, humor, and a whole lots of LOVE then this book is definitely for you. Just prepare yourself to fall in love with these characters as they surely found a home in my book world.C.D. Reiss

BIG FAT PUFFY HEARTS!!! Someone needs to buy the movie rights to this book and hire Ryan Reynolds, like, yesterday. Maybe Ryan is a bit too old now, but that’s just minor details. Funny, sexy, snarky: all the words ending in “Y” to describe a good book. It was fast paced and kept me reading 'til the wee hours.Honestly speaking, I don’t think CD Reiss can do any wrong at this point in her writing career. Every new book is better, smarter, and more in-depth than the one before it. Never losing the raw, yet endearing sexual magnetism that is her signature.Reiss’s ability to pull out the most critical aspects of her characters and yet still make the reader feel something for them is a super power all her own. Read Today ThoughtsLoved this story!Loved the characters!Brad and Cara were great, well-developed characters, and their relationship was a wonderful journey to read.I was entertained, engaged and eager to see what would happen next.Congratulations C.D. But when a bombshell gets dropped in his lap in the form of a dimpled five-year-old from a forgotten relationship, he knows his life is about to change forever.Cara DuMont isn’t exactly thrilled when she gets assigned to be the nanny for the latest box-office king. She has one rule: no celebrity fathers, especially single ones with devilish good looks and rock-hard abs.But as soon as Cara meets Brad and his adorable little girl, she knows she’s in for a world of trouble. There are four things you can be sure of in life – death, taxes, grey pubes and that when you read a book by CD Reiss it will be awesome. I love picking up a eagerly anticipated story to find that it was everything I wanted and then some.Bombshell had me at ‘Wipes.’ It may have been set in a world of the rich and famous but nothing felt far fetched, I’m sure that there are plenty of stories shared amongst people nannying for the self entitled and over indulged. In the beginning we are shown that movie star Brad Sinclair lives up to all of that but life happens and it happens in a big way to Brad when his five year old daughter is awarded to him. This beautiful little girl is called Nicole. Brad had no idea that he had a child but DNA tests prove that he is indeed a daddy. He is about to be immersed into a new way of life, very rapidly. This little girl needs him, her mother has died and he is her next of kin. Within a week he realises he needs a nanny if he is to keep up with his work schedule and care for her.‘She’s not a bombshell. She’s not a problem to solve. She’s a human being you made. You don’t see her. You don’t see how hard she’s working to deal with what happened.’Nicole immediately forms a connection with Cara at the first interviews, however she isn’t looking to work for a movie star, been there done that, she just wants easy. Brad can be very convincing though and before long she finds herself in a temporary contract, living at his home but under her own terms.Very quickly Nicole forms an attachment with her Nanny but Cara knows she needs to keep her distance, to protect her own heart. The other problem Cara is having is all the dirty dreams she is having about Brad. They seem to get more intense each night she goes to sleep. There is a lot of low level flirtation going on between Cara and Brad, sometimes she struggles with just being around him and all his hotness.A relationship is also blooming between father and daughter. I loved those sweet moments between Brad and Nicole (Princess). I enjoyed having a front row seat to this man falling in love with his child and it was beautiful. Brad’s priorities begin to make a slow shift, his focus on work is now split between learning lines and spending quality time with Nicole.Brad is also forming a relationship of sorts with Cara. He wants her and he continues to chip away at her resolve until, like ice on concrete, it melts away. He is everything that she imagined and some but she doesn’t want to be a cliched nanny sleeps with the boss girl. She doesn’t want her face on the front cover of entertainment weeklies, it would be the end of not only her privacy but her career.‘Every inch of my skin came alive, and I felt heavy and swollen between my legs. One big undeniable throb set to the rhythm of his kiss.’‘You’re in for a treat, sweetheart. Us southern boys eat pussy like pie. And I like pie’As things begin to spiral out of control Cara is getting the urge to flee, Brad is trying to figure out how he can keep her permanently and Nicole is influencing everything, she just wants a mummy and daddy. Hang on to your knickers readers as this author takes you on a ride through Hollywood.‘You’re my glue. You’ve made me bigger. Better. And you hold it together. All my life. I’m nothing without you.’

4 STARSHe was the hurricane and the eye of it. A constellation of angles and planes that curled around the world and complemented it. It's been a hot minute since I read a CD Reiss book and I'm not really sure why. I loved her Songs of Submission series, but for one reason or another, I haven't had a chance to dive into her more recent releases. I figured it was time to change that and what better story to do that with!A hollywood heartthrob turned daddy overnight and a highly sought after nanny that's sworn off celebrity fathers clients? Bring. It. On.Cara DuMont is a highly sought after nanny in the industry. She's beautiful, educated, and children love her. But beauty isn't a plus in her profession. She's always having to worry over gossip of supposed affairs and the jealousy and insecurities of the women who think she can seduce their men away from them while watching their children. After watching her friend go through hell after an affair gone wrong, she's officially sworn off celebrity fathers. She already has a job lined up but fate has other plans when she falls for a 5 year old with tears in her eyes and the most famous daddy of them all...Brad Sinclair Brad is used to getting his way. He's a hollywood heartthrob that always has a woman or two at his side, never turns down a party and doesn't take much seriously. When he finds out that he has a daughter he knew nothing about after her mother dies in an accident his life takes a complete 180. Now he has a child that doesn't seem to stop crying and the only woman capable of calming her down is one that doesn't want to work for him. This guy could ruin me. He had all the tools to do it. He was gorgeous and laid-back. He listened when I spoke and had a daughter who was just about perfect.I absolutely LOVED Cara. She was such a strong heroine. She's witty and funny and isn't afraid to give Brad hell when he needs it. She owns her sexuality, which is one thing I've always enjoyed about CD's heroines. It doesn't take long before the chemistry between them is too much to deny, but with so much on the line, can they give in?I wanted to fuck her blind. Fuck her open. The dick told me to go into the shower and take her. The dick hadn’t been refused in years. The dick got what it wanted and right then it wanted Cara DuMont so bad I thought the blood rushing to it would break it.The pacing of the story was PERFECT. It was a delicious slow burn and I thought I'd combust if these two didn't get together soon. I loved watching the effect that Cara had on Brad and watching him grow up and truly become a father. I loved their chemistry and their banter. But most of all, I absolutely LOVED Nicole. This child stole my heart with her smiles and her tears. She totally stole the show and I couldn't get enough of her.Bombshell was a romance full of heart and sizzle. It was sexy and swoony and never failed to put a goofy grin on my face. It was the perfect weekend afternoon read and I can't wait for more in this series. You’re going to make me crazy about you,” he said. “I have that effect on people.” ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on:

DNF at 47%I tried. Even after realizing as early as the 5% mark that this was so far from what I had loved about Reiss from MARRIAGE GAMES, I continued on. Yes, it's a different genre (sorta, erotica vs BDSM), different set-up, completely different circumstances, but surely that same emotional intensity would be present even if the players were not remotely similar?Nope. The characters were not likeable. From the flawed party boy celebrity A-lister, to the too perfect for words nanny, to terrible side characters and, I hate to say it, a super annoying five year old who fluctuated between someone who did act her age.. and then also acted twenty five. We had no real flow for the some of the scenes and any emotional or high intensity moments completely lacked resonance. And as for the nightly fantasies Cara was having about her boss after first meeting him? No. Just no. Also, I realize this is an ARC so maybe it's just been overlooked, but how am I supposed to take a character seriously when her exposition-style backstory starts off on one page saying she fell in love in one of the many places she lived in (army brat), gave up her virginity to said person, and then the next page says all that moving around resulted in her never having the chance to fall in love.Whut. Had I not already experienced how amazing this author can be, I'm not sure I would bother picking up another book by her. But despite this disappointment I have every intention on finishing her Games Duet and would strongly suggest that other readers give that series a try if this one doesn't work for them. Because it sure didn't work for me.** I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher (thank you!) in exchange for an honest review. **

Bradley Sinclair , Hollywood Star , is a man overwhelmed . He has everything a man dreams of . stardom, fame, talent, good looks , two Oscar nominations , a large mansion, countless girls, parties , booze..........and 5 year old girl , he just got facepalmed with!!! Like somebody pulls a cord in the middle of a loud and crazy wild party. What is a stunned single , overwhelmed father to do ? Go the Hollywood route and add to the Entourage of starlife.......hire a nanny ! There's West Side Nannies. An elite, celebrity Nanny services company. So Cara DuMont gets hired as a Celebrity nanny . And that’s exactly what a celebrity nanny is. Not only is she attractive but she’s great with the kids. She does all the things the dad associated with his normal upbringing, which is likely the upbringing he promised himself he was going to give his children. The nanny represents that failed promise. She kisses boo-boos, packs lunches, cooks what the children like, and sits to eat with them. His wife is usually in the business as well, and travels, works all hours, and manages a business team as well as the household team. She represents all the dad’s failures as a father, because she’s juggling everything but the children. She's determined and focused solely on Nicole Garcia Sinclair. An adorable , well mannered , lost girl and Cara brings calm in both of their world. But her world turns upside down . She becomes the much needed glue in the Broken and awkward relationship between the new dad and confused child."if you break a vase and glue it back together, it’s bigger after it breaks? The glue takes up space. The cracks add to it.”She tries and succeeds in blending in the background of Hollywood spotlight that always follows the stars. Standing just over the edge in the darkness , keeping an eye on the stars' accessory kids. The problem is , Cara gets invested in the kids and Brad gets invested in her.It was so interesting to see the celebrity life BTS look in this story. Couple of years ago there was a scandal involving Ethan Hawke and his Affair with the nanny Ryan, where he married her. MAYBE this story was inspired from there, I don't know, but I can say for sure, matters of the heart rarely travel on a straight and easy path . The story is simple , the progression natural and predictable . But the difference between Reiss and other authors , in treatment and narration , is Planetary . She not only paints a vivid picture, she exquisitely embellishes the thoughts and emotions with just the right amount of words. Not more , not less. Just right!I've never read a kiss being described so truthfully !!He tasted like a bad decision. He tasted like the thing you always said you shouldn’t have done, but didn’t regret anyway. A little bit of starlight. The tart sting of the forbidden and the sweetness of a sin you think you’re getting away with. And that's where she justifies the title of Shakespeare of Smut. Though TBH I cringe at the genre. There's hardly any smut. Her writing is purely romantic , intermingled with Sass. There's no lip biting virgins, no alpha with OTT endowments or "you're so tight, you're wet for me,I was moist and throbbing" cliches you read in cookie cutter romances all around. The story has a heart, it has a soul and I could feel it so bad that I ended up pitying Paula , where I was supposed to hate her. Cock-blocking kids, stolen moments of passion, real life travails, a haunting secret that Brad has that almost tears them apart , and the reason why , all these make a very authentic story of a very starry lifestyle couple .I am a hard core Reiss style of writing. Nobody writes like her .The scene in Disney resort , was so hot and pulse pounding ..... My hormones rushed through my blood like marauders setting the village on fire. See what I mean ! Always such a JOY reading her books. It's like after a long dry drive, you come back to the manicured gardens of your home. You can smell the fresh grass and the contentment you feel is what I feel reading her words. Smell, breathe deep and feel the story seeping in <3Zip it, Lock it, Put it in your Pocket !5 teacup stars #BookBistroBlogApprovedFollow us onFB - -https://bookbistroblogcom.wordpress.comBlog -https://bookbistroblogger.blogspot.comTwitter - -

Love can be found in the most unexpected places.THIS. BOOK. HAS. EVERYTHING. I. LOVE. AND. MORE.Brad Sinclair Celebrity actor near King of Hollywood. Originally from Redfield, Arkansas he is going places. A notorious playboy and the life of any party. His partying days are over when an adorable six-year-old left on his doorstep. What can I say about Brad? I loved him and hated him at the same time. He is selfish yet caring. An idiot who screws up. Old habits are hard to break but tries to make amends. With his charisma, he has no problem wooing and making you forgive him without realizing you and even if you don’t want to. Cara DuMont is the best in the industry let me clarify that the best in the nanny industry. While helping a friend with a small blonde sweetheart with a toilet incident. She doesn’t want to be in the limelight and has tried to keep herself on the sidelines as much as possible. She doesn’t want the job but becomes the reluctant nanny. Her past has led her to believe that she doesn’t deserve certain things. She wants stability but Brad isn’t stable. Cara is the help in Hollywood you don’t start anything with the help. Brad wants to be better for Cara and for his daughter. It is a balance of what people think to not caring what people think. You can’t help but not fall in love with Cara and Brad. They are steaming together. They test the boundaries know that it is a good idea but weaken and break them to only go back to being what they were before. There was so much buildup with what was between them and that added more to the book. They really get to know one another and they start to change. They become an us and a family without realizing. There are so many moments that I highlighted between the two that I have only picked two which really struck with me.He was beautiful as ever, but starkly human. Flawed beyond belief. Emotional and broken. He needed me to fill his empty places and in letting me do that, he filled mine. – Cara – “You’re my glue. You’ve made me bigger. Better. And you hold it all together. All my life. I’m nothing without you.” I squeezed his hand. “You were a good man before you met me.” “I was worthless.” – Brad – Nicole Garcia is there are no words really to describe Nicole. She is bright, and meddling for her age. She knows what she wants and well she had all the important people wrapped around her little finger. Hell, I would have given her everything she would have asked for. At the beginning, I felt so sorry for her and her situation. But Cara sure did work her magic.“Nice to meet you, Nicole. Wanna help clean this up? “Can we do my butt first?” “Great idea.” I liked this little one. Good thing I already had a job lined up or I could have fallen for her and her dad in a heartbeat. If this is what goes on in Hollywood then I am happy that I live a normal life because it is just cray cray crazy. Bonkers, nuts. This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. It sucked me in. It made me want to drop everything and read it in one sitting alas RL got in the way. I had so many feels. I laughed, I smiled, I wanted more. The story is flawless and flowed so well. It is real and raw in places and I love that. I never knew what was going to happen which is an added bonus for me. Like Cara I went back and forth to liking him and the cussing him for being an arse. A delightful read with an angst level I can deal with. There is an epilogue to the epilogue and it is freaking A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. I am so going to read Shuttergirl I want to know Michael’s story as well. On a side note I personally consider Ms. Reiss to be an inspiration. After 24 years, yes you read right 24 years she got signed with Publisher. Now that is what I call dedication peeps and many of us can take a page out of that.Review can be found @

2.5 Bombshell Kind of Bomb for MeThis is my first C.D. Reiss read and it won’t be my last. Look, I liked her writing style, it flowed and it was easy to follow, but I didn’t like the characters, especially the Hero. I did the audio version of this and I LOVVVEEEEEE the female narrator, Andi Arndt. I kind of stalk her audio books because she always puts me in a happy place when I hear her voice. Even though I wasn’t jiving with this book, I enjoyed it more because of her. As for the male narrator, Christian Fox, I liked his voice, but I wasn’t really fond of his narrating, it was a little too informal to me. I didn’t like how he read it, but if he tweaked it, then I could become a fan. His voice didn’t hinder my reading experience though.I’m crazy for a single daddy, Hollywood troupe romance. I was really excited to start this book and it started out pleasantly. I liked how Cara and Brad meet and I love the tension they had between each other. But as I got to know Brad more, everything kind of got horrible. I couldn’t understand Brad’s character. He wasn’t someone I could find redeeming, he was someone I couldn’t see as the Hero. The ONLY thing he got going for him was that he was rich and famous, other than that I could care less for his personality.I found him really selfish and plainly stupid (view spoiler)[not because of his learning disability (hide spoiler)] it was the fact he wasn’t emotionally empathic. The insta-lust between Cara and Brad was a turn off for me and I wasn’t invested into the characters. I didn’t see chemistry and I couldn’t understand why Cara was drawn to him (other than the fact he is rich and famous). The little girl made the book. I found her to be a breath of fresh air and I craved to read her parts. She was adorable and entertaining. As I read more and more, I got angrier (view spoiler)[I hated the way he brushed off his daughter (yeah eventually he gives up everything, but still!). Oh and he gave up his 100 million dollar movie deal so he wouldn’t have to travel? Are you fucking kidding me? So he becomes a somewhat nobody? What a horrible ending. Then we find out he has a learning disability, < - big fucking deal. I get it, it’s hard, but I’m in “romance reading land” I read books about rape, murder and adultery and this is the best I got to read? This quality should have been endearing, not the whole “plot” point of the book. Then we find out he was getting a blow job from someone so he didn’t bother to understand he signed his rights away for his daughter < --- that made me HATE BRAD. < --- this is what I mean how stupid he is. Are you telling me a blow job is so important you don’t even understand what you are signing? (hide spoiler)]My rant is done, so yeah my pain problem was Brad and that killed it for me. I will however, be moving forward with Bodyguard, because you know what? I want to. I think this book may turn things around for me. Just got to wait for November!AUDIO is available FREE with Kindle Unlimited

What a crazy ride! You know those books that start off in crazy town and you wonder what the heck you are reading? The more you read, the more you're thinking to yourself that maybe this just isn't the story for me. Yet I just can't stop reading it, I gotta see where this is going. It always amazes me how an author can turn a book around. It's happened before, yet it still shocks me when it happens again. This is one of those books! It's the reason I try not to give up on them. I absolutely loved how C.D. Reiss turned this around for me. By the end of the book she got me hook, line and sinker. The book started out with crazy behavior by spoiled, entitled actors and one sane nanny. I wasn't much of a fan of Brad until almost the end of the book. Coming from a small town with normal folks, I was surprised by his behavior until things started to finally get real. I finally started to relate to him when he grew as a father and that's when the author had me. The end was beautiful and I loved the epilogue!

Cara is working in Los Angeles as a Nanny for the rich & famous. But she’ll never work for an actor! Her best friend is blacklisted all over Hollywood now, because she fell in love with a horrible Dad/Actor/cheater!But then Cara meets little half orphan Nicole and she’s in love! Too bad her dad is Hollywood Superstar Brad Sinclair. And too bad she can’t stop thinking of him, looking at him, dreaming of doing sexy things with him….But she agrees to a one-month trial if he hires her bestie too!And he SO agrees because he’s desperate. He just inherited this little girl! And he obviously has no idea what to do with her.But this beautiful Nanny does know everything. And he can’t stop looking at her, thinking of her, imagining things with her….WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH CARA & BRAD & LITTLE NICOLE?WILL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER FOR THOSE 3?READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺══════════════════════════I really enjoyed this book. I love Hollywood romances, and this one was a really great one.At first you might think. Meh – another one of those stupid little Rich Daddy falls for Nanny thingies. And yes, it is that, but it’s also so much more!We get a real insight into the world of Nannies in Hollywood. And of Hollywood life in general. And not the glamorous Billionaire lives. But the real people-who-just-happen-to-be-Hollywood-stars-lives. With all their dreams and fears and issues.Cara tries so hard to stay away from Brad, but of course we all know it won’t happen. She won’t be able to resist him forever. Even though she’s confronted with mistakes, lies, fears …. problems - with no end in sight. But everyone’s fighting hard for their happily ever after. It might just take a while! And we can enjoy the journey in the meantime ☺I had some minor problems with the writing. I haven’t read many CD Reiss books, and I can’t remember how her writing was in those, but I didn’t like/enjoy the writing in this book. Don’t ask me what my problem is with the style, because I can’t tell you. It all just sounded weird to my ears. Also, what I hated, and I almost didn’t even notice it - which makes me hate it even more ☺ … we already knew Brad from a previous book! A book I hadn’t read! I HATE THAT! Why put people in books that are not part of a series! I want to know everything about a character – I want to know that I should’ve met them before! Grrrr. A little mention in the blurb would’ve been nice, that way I could’ve read Shuttergirl first! Or just change the Shuttergirl series on goodreads into Hollywood A-List #1 and change Bombshell into #2!!!End of rant!I really enjoyed reading this book. It took me a while to fall for all characters, because they were all a bit weird and bitchy in the beginning. But I fell for them, and now I love them, and I loved the story! I even cried a bit here and there. There’s a lot in there that makes you think.BOMBSHELL was an adorable, sexy, serious and very interesting take on the Hollywood-Dad-falls-for-Nanny romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Brad! This one is MINE! Even though I keep imagining Brad Pitt when I hear his name - ewwwww☺☺☺

When nanny Cara DuMont takes on the temporary position of taking care of Hollywood bad-boy Trent Sinclair's newly discovered five year old daughter Nicole she is determined not to get involved and be the cliche "Nanny falls for big movie star" kind. But something happens between these two charactersthat is so special that even they don't know how to handle it. I absolutely loved this book, the characters were so intense and emotional you could feel them struggle with their feelings radiate from the pages, the story line was captivating and very addictive and I just loved the way each character learned how to grow from each others emotions, fantastic narration by Andi Arndt and Christian Fox.
