I found this story to be just okay. Not awesome. Not awful. Both cam boy Dean and doctor Noah were written as damn near perfect, possibly too much so, but that didn't really bother me much. The one aspect of the book that I did feel was an all-out fail, though, was the serial killer sub-plot. The coincidences required for things to have happened, as written, were off the charts, trillion to one astronomical, which made me completely roll my eyes at the sheer unlikelihood of the connections. And speaking of eye rolls, as the book got closer and closer to the end, the author started feeling his/her (?) wild oats and *liberally* inserting cornier and cornier jokes, which got 'not cute' very quickly. The lines were *meant* to be banter, at which the MC's would laugh and laugh at the other's 'wit', but I hate corny, so a bit of eye rolling ensued. #TriedTooHard / #BanterFailThe sexy bits 'should' have felt way hotter than they actually did, but I found myself wanting to skim through them. I didn't, but was tempted. So yeah, not awful, not awesome, and around a 3 star read.------------------------------------------------This is a free read with Kindle Unlimited membership.

*** This is a sexy tale of the Doctor and the Personal trainer/cam-boy. ***We get more than an easy going story, because there are several things happening here. Dr. Dean already likes what he sees online with his favorite cam-boy, but when he comes into the E.R., Dean is star struck. He's even more good looking in person. Noah was instantly attracted to the beautiful and funny doctor. Noah gave him his phone number. It's not instant love here, there are time spans also. Our guys have great personalities and senses of humor. They are witty, snarky, intelligent, and totally perfect for each other. Dean begins by asking Noah out on some terrifically sweet dates where they get to know each other. When they finally get to it, their sexy times are smokin' ! These two aren't afraid to try anything. There are issues that escalate with on of cam-boy Noah's fans, and he tells the police. I can't tell you what's going on, but I can tell you the bad guy is a very warped dude....! So, we get some action, violence and a huge rescue. This is an interesting story with great flow, and super sexy scenes.ENJOY ! ============

This book and Audio was really enjoyable. I think Jason Frazier did a great job with the narration and voices of All the characters, not just the main ones, and his voice added to the story sucking you in wanting to just hear more. I think it was a realistic type story, like this could have totally happened.. How Doctor Dylan and Cam Boy/Personal Trainer Noah met, and then when they both came clean with each other about everything and they were able to look past it and make their relationship work, and progress at a natural pace. I NEVER would have guessed who the "Bad Guy" in the story was.. That was a good one, good ending to the story.

The Blogger GirlsThis was a really sweet and well written romance between a doctor and his webcam crush slash unexpected patient. Dr. Dean is still recovering from his cheating ex and has basically sworn off men and relationships….but it doesn’t mean he has to give up his guilty pleasure, webcam phenom, Noah. Of course, watching a hot man on camera wank off is supposed to be anonymous…forever, but what can you do when you wet dream ends up in your emergency room? This story was really low angst and very sweet despite the ex who made a huge mistake, ok cheating is a deal breaker, but a part of me still felt bad for him. Unfortunately, Dean was not able to regain the lost trust no matter how much I liked his ex. And that was good news for Noah…Noah needs money and so wanking on camera sounds easy and safe…until he meets the hottie doctor and starts flirting. Once they begin their little fling, both Dean and Noah need to come clean. Dean needs to admit that he’s watched Noah on the web, and Noah is trying to decide how to break it to Dean that he wanks on the web. They both have secrets, but they need to gather the courage to break the news to the other before they can further their relationship. At the same time, a serial killer is on the loose and is killing off guys who wank online for money. And Noah has caught his attention. As crazy as it sounds, the bad guy totally surprised me…but I am not 100% sure if the coincidence was totally believable for me. The resolution was very quick and easy, and almost anti-climatic. But, the rest of the story was stellar and didn’t take away from my reading pleasure, and I look forward to seeing where we go with book two.

Mixed bag of good bits hampered by odd executionMax Walker knows how to write a great sex scene and there's some smoking hot ones in this one.Walker's also great with the bones of a story but, unfortunately, there always just seems to be something off that stops them being 5* romances. In this one it's some odd grammar usage, a side plot of serial killer which just doesn't work at all and a pairing who rush somewhat into romance even with all their previous emotional baggage. Both characters read younger than they were supposed to be as well which helped to add to the overall sense of something just not meshing right.Still, it's by no means a poor book, there is a great connection between Dean and Noah and there's the usual super sweet epilogue rounding things out.

Hot and sweet with suspense! Outstanding!Loved both characters, Noah and Dean! I thought that this was very well written and kept me reading until I finished the entire story. Noah and Dean are great characters with well defined personalities and both are so big hearted, and the sex between them had me fanning my face. This is a must read!

Another great read from Max Walker, I really enjoy his style of writing and his books are just getting better and better. I love how Max's books how ever slight are connected weather it be through a friendship or family. Like in this one Dean Harper is the brother to the MC Chris Harper from Daddy's Kissing Santa Claus. Even though there is that connection that is where it ends, they are all Standalone reads.Code Silver is now one of my favourites it's a fast paced intriguing read with a twist a didn't see coming. I loved the banter between these two characters we got fun and flirty but also depth to each of them. Their back stories were emotional and i loved seeing how they moved forward and then finding each other how they did was as funny as it was hot. I can't wait to see what comes next from Max Walker but there isn't a doubt in my mind i'll be grabbing at it as soon as its released.

Rating: ★★★ 3.5 really. Cover: Cover is nothing special, kind of like every other book out there. Possible triggers: Really none, except a mention of a cheating man, but nothing on page. So you should be safe. Some violence. This story was fun, flirty and hot. It reminded me of a soap opera plot, but that's not a horrible thing.ER doctor, Dean, works nonstop. He gets his physical release from a webcam man, Noah, and is crushing on him pretty hard. He fantasized about Noah to save himself the heartache of another broken relationship. A way to protect his heart, possibly. Noah is left with no choice but to make money the fast way, cam boy. He doesn't want it to be a fulltime job, just something to bypass the trials he's having in his life and get him where he needs to go, safely. I think this next part was nothing spectacular, anyone that read the blurb or the first part knew it was leading to Noah being sent to the ER and Dean being his doctor. Dean has to treat his crush, the man who's been the object of all his fantasies. They get together right away, the build isn't much. There's some drama, a bit of a mystery and they find themselves being thrown into trouble. I liked that plot, it kept me interested, but I felt as if it was thrown in for dramatic flare. Kind of like what I said above, like a soap opera. They're corny, but you have to know how it will end. Why I gave it 3.5 stars: The plot was okay and the writing, too. The editing needed a lot of work. Grammar, sentence structure with dialogue, tense issues, and repetition. Again, a lot of telling and showing rather than letting us feel through the characters, Walker tells us what to feel. Even with all of these, it wasn't enough to make me stop reading. I wanted to see how they got their HEA, and it was sweet. There was a lot of sex, so if you like that, you'll like this. I personally thought it was too much and didn't add to the story, only word count. Overall, I liked it and I'm going to check out more from this author to see how his writing matures.

I honestly think that, might just be less painful than reading this book! Both the plot (the little there was of it) and the characters felt cardboard thin at best. It was all very superficial and uninteresting and highly predictable. And in my opinion, this book would've been much better (not that that is saying much in this case, but still..) if the whole suspense part of it was removed. I mean really? It was OTT, ridiculous and frankly did not fit with the storyline at all.Needless to say this is one series I won't be continuing with. My time is better spent elsewhere.

Stick With ItIn a book filled with OMG incidents and coincidences, in the end this is a wild, and scorching, love story between two completely opposite guys with a myriad of issues. That Dr. Dean Harper and cam show star and masseur Noah Silver actually get to meet is an accident stemming from an accident. That Dean is stunned to recognize Noah as his cam "buddy" is almost downright hilarious, especially since both of them saddle up for a whirlwind romance while completely withholding information from each other that could blow their romance apart.Throw in a serial killer who lurks in the background of the narrative until he comes out into the open and you have an eyebrow raising denouement--which is very logical but is somewhat too perfectly set up that it causes me to adjust the rating from five to four stars.Still, you could do a lot worse, and the next in the series is in my Order Next box.

Reviewed for A Drop of Romeo...Noah Silver has been having a difficult time lately what with his Mother having passed away and his father being dreadful to live with so he decides it’s time to move out. However, for that you need the funds. To get cash fast Noah becomes a cam boy. Unbeknown to Noah, one of his viewers is Dr Dean Harper - a handsome doctor whose ex-boyfriend ripped his heart out when he walked in on him having an affair with three other men. After an accident, Noah arrives at Sierra View where he meets Dean and they have a connection. But what would a successful doctor want in a cam boy like Noah? And how can Dean explain to Noah that he’s been having lustful thoughts about him long before he stepped into the hospital? Alongside their blossoming romance, a serial killer is targeting cam boys. What will happen to them once they realise that Noah is the killer’s next target?I’ve been on an M/M binge lately and I am incredibly over the moon that I stumbled upon Max Walker’s Code Silver. I had this little gem stored away on my kindle for when I went on holiday with my sister and niece so I could have something to read at the poolside. It delivered. For someone who hates sitting in the sun, I couldn’t get up to move because I just couldn’t put this novel down at all. I needed to know what happened to the characters. The characters were written beautifully. I had a massive crush on Dean and I think I could even label him my fictional boyfriend because I was that in love with him. He complimented Noah perfectly. The way Walker writes feels carefree and his dialogue was simply beautiful. Some of his lines actually had me laughing and the banter between the characters was flawless. Of course, there were sex scenes but Walker managed to write them extremely well and I deem them safe to read while out and about - can’t get more public than poolside with strangers! - but I suppose that does depend on your own blush-o-meter. The added drama of the serial killer alongside the blossoming romance was the pièce de résistance for me. It kept the story being the same as every other romance I’ve read and kept me glued to the novel. I read this book in one sitting and as soon as I was finished I was downloading the second one in the series. This may have been my first Max Walker novel but it definitely won’t be my last one - and for good measure, I’ve also added him onto my follow list on facebook just so I know can be aware of any upcoming releases. My list of favourite authors is slowing increasing and Max Walker has made it onto the list.

OMG.. This is a fantastic book from start to finish, It'll blow you away at the ending..with a WOW moment. The characters are great together before they actually meet but its nothing compared to when they actually do.. their chemistry's are of the charts, they sizzle.. Dr Dean Harper is a Doctor at a busy hospital, in private he's getting over a bad relationship of 5 years for a cheating ex, Ben. A year later..Noah is told to leave his family home by his bigoted father.. looking for some way to earn some fast money he searches online and finds Cam boys website. With money he moves and starts his new job having no idea where and what its going to lead him too.Meanwhile the news headlines are that of a serial killer on the loose..and collecting his victims one at a time.. Who's next? Who is it? You gotta read this, Highly recommend read. Oh did I mention this author is a first for me. I cant wait for the next book of this series..

Doctor Dean Harper has been destroyed by a longterm broken relationship. Noah Silver, the child of Cuban immigrants is working as a physical trainer and doing online single porn work to make ends meet. The two meet, two illogical choices. Something works, but something doesn't arise out of nothing. It has trials and dangers--a bit of mystery and a series killer. Walker's sense of humor for both characters is great. The degree of eroticism is perfect--neither too much or too little. Finally, two completely different men with friends more like themselves and not the other become an item, an item that can be dangerous. Code Silver, the first in the what will be Walker's Sierra View Series, though the Sierras are not a view from the LA Basin, is simple fun, sexy fun.Moving on now to "Code Red," we shall see if the good hangs on and the weak grows weaker.

Halloween Madness Five Star WinnerI was thrilled now to read the first series, The Sierra View. Written by the amazing author, Max Walker. I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting sexual book so much. This seductive romantic tale of the meeting of a Doctor with his Personal trainer who he worked with. I thoroughly adored this exciting gay attraction and love. When Dr Dean Harper, was working on this busiest night in Sierra View hospital. People everywhere rushing on this Halloween night with patients dressed up in a variety of costumes. He was so excited about the rush and excitement. Dealing with his patients were his whole life.I adored this most wonderful and exciting book so much. I enjoyed the endless thrill of heat and sex. Finding this book so hard to put down!!* I recommend this book to everyone!!

I thought for the most part this was a good story. It certainly had two likable characters. Who shared some chemistry and a few hot moments. It was also easy to read, sweet and at times engaging. However there was one thing that didn't work for me. That being, the whole serial killer sub plot. Which I didn't get at all. As it never added to the overall story, and it felt to me like it had been written more as an after thought than anything else. Also I never once felt like Noah or Dean were in any danger, and I easily figured out who the killer was from the screen name they used to contact Noah. Yet despite this I did still enjoy it and as a new author to me. I would check out more of Max Walkers books. Even if I did find this one a little hit and miss.

HALF A STAR!!! Seriously, where are all these "authors" coming from?!!!!!!?Tune in for the rant that's coming ... and trust me, it IS coming! I'm too annoyed to play on that innuendo, which should tell you something. In the meantime, I'm adding one more "author" to the list of "authors" that I will definitely be steering clear of!!Addendum: If this book were titled "How to write a horrible M/M book" or "A Comprehensive Example of What NOT To Do When Attempting to Write An M/M Novel", this would make a killing. Absolute train wreck!!

This book was available as part of the Kindle Lending Library program, and I figured....what do I have to lose? Well -- apparently just a couple of hours of my life....After breaking up with his long-time partner who's been cheating, scrumptious Dr. Dean Harper has been finding consolation at night watching a gorgeous cam-boy. Noah Silver never thought he'd be performing on-camera, but he's desperate for money...and it's only temporary. But, when he's injured, he ends up in Dean's ER, and is dazzled by the kind and charismatic doctor, and soon a blazing attraction is growing between them. However, a stalker is threatening their new life together, and as the menace grows closer, the stakes rise. Wow..for a M/M romance with a hint of Daddy-kink, this was surprisingly bland. There's nothing particularly interesting about either Dean or Noah -- they're utterly predictable and conventional stereotypes. Though there are some angsty moments early on when Noah finds out that Dean knows the truth about him, there's just isn't all that much happening. There's zero sexual tension, and when it happens, the sex isn't even really all that hot. Dean and Noah fall for each other, deal with the stalker, get their HEA. The. End. So...2 stars for an uninspired and insipid story.

One of my favorite things about this book is that it was heavy on the romance with a secondary plot instead of vice versa. The doctor and cam boy pairing is really interesting and I love the possibility of this happening in real life is slim to none. Seriously, one of the reasons I love romance is because of the escapism of the fantasy in which we find ourselves. Both men in this story are far too perfect and are perfect for each other which is what makes this an excellent story.

Dean and Noah story, Dean is a very handsome Dr, Noah is a cam boy. As the story starts to be told, you get to understand both MCs. They are getting closer to each other. Then we have a mysterious killer on the loose. I loved how the characters are written, with depth, even others within this book are so well written. Highly recommended.

I just realized I never posted my review for this book although I wrote it a month ago. Dean and Noah were from two different worlds but fit together perfectly. The sex and chemistry between them was off the charts and the added touch of danger was perfect. I loved it, 4.5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

2.5 maybe 2.75I liked the idea behind the book no even kinda enjoyed the MCs but it was just boring. There wasn’t much to it. Even the drama wasn’t worth it. It also felt too cookie cutter and perfect. I’m all for insta connects but I still would like a believable plot

I truly did enjoy this story. Dean and Noah had great chemistry. I loved the witty banter and slow burn between them. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star is the serial killer plot. Would have prefer a straight romance. It was unnecessary for the story IMO...

This was okay but even though there was serial killer plot everything was just so easy. I would have liked a little more depth of emotion from the story line and characters.
