If you have read E.T Seton's Springfield Fox story and you are very sad with the tragic ending, please read Flame. You'll feel so much relieved. Flame is a fox. She lives deep in the forest with her two cubs, Star and Scarlett. Life was peaceful and quiet until one day the hunters came. Flame decided to move her babies to a safe place but Star fell into a trap and was taken away. She tried all possible ways to rescue her baby, in vain. Every time she approached Star's cage, the hounds and hunters suddenly appeared and she had to run away for life. She was as miserable as she was smart. She called up so many foxes to help that the hunters were terrified by the sight of a hilltop of foxes. They released Star and ran away. Star finally returned to his mother's warm embrace. I'm so glad that the author, Mr. Chengliang Zhu made such adaptation to the original story so that Flame and her baby could have a family reunion. This heartwarming tale of wildlife conservation and parental love is also perfectly matched with his dynamic illustrations. Reading a book is like watching a movie. Strongly recommended!

It's a story full of love, wisdom and breathtaking. Flame was a fox mom, whose fur was red as fire. One day, when she moved her two cubs to a safer place, one cubs fell into a trap and was taken away by hunters . The Flame mom traces hunters to the farm twice, trying to save her baby. She narrowly escaped the hunters 'shoot and the hounds' chase, and finally rescued her child successfully with her smart and wisdom.

Flame was a fox whose fur was red as fire in a furnace. She lived deep in the forest with her two little cubs. Life was peaceful until one day they started hearing strange sounds. Flame decided to move the cubs to a safer place. But as they moving, Star fell into a trap and was taken away by hunters. Flame tried all possible means trying to rescue her baby. The hunters with guns and their hounds made it impossible for Flame to approach Star's cage and was so close to being caught by the hunters. In the end, Flame called a herd of foxes for help. There were so many of them that the hilltop was covered in foxes! The hunters were terrified. They released Star and ran away for life. Star finally returned to his mother's warm embrace. The dynamic illustrations match perfectly with the tense plot.
