This is a quick but very enjoyable read. It was a delight and quite funny at times following Patrick and Amabelle as they reconnect after Patrick returns home and discover their future together. I received an advance copy, but a favorable review was not required. opinions expressed are my own, and this is a sweet romance that I definitely recommend.

To Gain a Valentine, written by Tanya Eavenson, is a fun Valentine read! It's a sweet quick read, but full of fun throughout. Eavenson takes Dr. Patrick (we met him in To Gain a Mommy) who is used to caring for children as a Pediatrician and puts new responsibilities on him! He has been 'volunteered' to watch his sisters animals...Parakeets, dogs, hamsters, lizards, fish...just to name a few! It was an adventure for sure! His sister, Rach, didn't only have catching animals in the schedule for him...her goal was to play Mrs. Cupid...Recommended read for teen and up...see if Mrs. Cupid was successful or if it all goes out the window with crazy animals!I was gifted this book by the author. All thoughts and comments are my own.

To Gain a Valentine by Tanya Eavenson is a fantastic story! I was very anxious to read Patrick's story after reading To Gain a Mommy. I didn't think this book could be as good as the first one, but lo and behold, it was just as good if not better! The trouble Patrick had babysitting his sister's family's pets were hilarious. Thank goodness Amabelle was there to help with the animals. This is a must read!

To Gain a Valentine was the first book I've read by Tanya Eavenson, but it surely won't be the last. I was instantly sucked into this story and became invested in Patrick, Amabelle, and little Abby's lives. It was a quick and very sweet read that I greatly enjoyed. I won this book in a giveaway and voluntarily reviewed it. This is my honest opinion.

Tanya Eavenson penned another heartfelt romance novella in To Gain a Valentine. This tale was a quick read with the main characters, Patrick and Annabelle’s lives being connected once again when Patrick returned to his home town. The addition of Annabelle’s seven month old daughter, Abby, added so much charm to this story. I appreciate this clean romance novella filled with laughs at all Patrick endured while caring for his sister’s pets along with tears for the hurts Annabelle and Patrick had experienced in life. To Gain a Valentine had some unexpected events that kept me turning the pages. The descriptive words had me right in the moment with the characters throughout the story with my mind seeing the scenes Eavenson created for the special Valentine event. I look forward to reading more of Eavenson’s novellas in her series to Gain Love. I received a complimentary PDF of this novella from the author. I was not required to write a positive review but have shared my honest opinion.

Patrick is home to watch his sister place and includes the pets. But o what a surprise when one is a lab. He has his hands full. There to mend over a broken heart of a lost love. But I think God has something else in mind for Patrick.Amabelle is a pet store owner and old friend to Patrick. Who had a pass. Single mom raising a baby. The baby is sick and Amabelle is beside herself doesn't know what to do. Should she call Patrick he is a physician? What is in store for these two on such a special day? Great book.

How can a man be so good with kids and so terrible with pets? Patrick has figured it out! One minute, he's the hero swooping in to save the day, the next, he's a loveably flawed brother trying desperately not to kill his sister's pets. That's where pet store owner Amabelle comes in. It's hard not to fall in love with such a guy. Good job, Tanya!

Rating: 3.5This novel was a sweet story, even if a bit predictable. I was able to finish it in two sittings and it made for a light and enjoyable read. There was no real resolution with one character, but it didn't ultimately matter to me, because I love who the main character ended up with. For readers who enjoy light uncomplicated story lines, and ones that have clean, wholesome values, this is a good choice. I recommend it.
