I liked this book a lot! Would recommend! It manages to be both witty and delightfully creepy. Haunted houses are one of my favourite tropes and so I would have liked to see even more of the horror-ish side of things there. But I guess I would have to settle for eyeball beads...? Hahaha...Speaking of which, the fae twins characters are SO CREEPY, super excited to see more of them in the next book! <3

(view spoiler)[ Imma be honest and say Julian was irritating af and yet completed the trio pretty well, so I had to bear his existence haha.(hide spoiler)]Everything from the first book I said--strong format, story, and worldbuilding--continued on in here. I think as a sequel, it hit the usual targets well including development in plot and characters. I'll be honest again and say I'm weak to assassin/spy genres which helped. Shit got REAL at the end, so I look forward to the next book in the series!DID I MENTION HOW WITTY IT GOT. “You know what would be exceedingly attractive on you, Everard? A noose.” “Just the noose, dear? Nothing else? That's bold, even for you.”
