The Passionate Librarian Reviews
Urgh...the ending?!?Ok so this book was actually pretty good. Minor grammatical errors but it was a kindleUnlimited so I can live with that. Jodi is likeable if not a really naive at the beginning. At times you want yell at her and Emily. Like I said overall a good read, a good journey, and then spoiler alert...it just ended. Like...it just ended abruptly I almost now feel cheated even though it was a good journey. it just ended...
This was a sweet book, with plenty of hot little interludes (though often the sex was sweet, too, which I liked plenty). Jodi thought she'd found her perfect match in the hot and yummy librarian, Emily, but Emily couldn't commit to a woman, one who was unemployed and living in friends' basement at that. A series of both fortunate and unfortunate events pushed and pulled them from each other. Can they overcome everything to get together? I can say that I had a fantastic time reading to find out. In fact, I was a bit let down when it was over simply because I wanted to read more about Jodi, Emily, and their friends and family. I always find that sort of letdown to be the best judge of a good book! Pick this one up if you like sweet and sexy romances!
Great storyI had to say I love the story of Emily and Jody, they are charming and down to earth... Emily love Jody but is scared of those feelings, on the other hand her boyfriend Ned is reliable, stable, want to get married and have children..what a predicament!!!! For Jody it was love at first sight, the sexy librarian stole her heart.....it's a refreshing and light reading you'll enjoy..... Great story Judy Folger...the first book I read from this author.... More to come....
Great storyI enjoyed this story with all the different characters in it. It just goes to show that sometimes you have to give someone the benefit of the doubt.
A competent retelling of the "out girl" falls for the "straight girl" with lots of obstacles along the way. Methinks Emily must have come out of a Jane Austen novel with her attitude to romance and marriage and I don't for a minute blame Jodi for being angry about the way she was treated considering Emily made the moves on her. Nevertheless, despite all the setbacks and drama, the outcome promises to be a happy ending. An enjoyable read.
