Read this years ago. Had forgotten the author and title, and the library I borrowed it from apparently disposed of it. First hand, personal account of the Anglo-French invasion by the French commander. Interesting for its distinctly French perspective, and for its author's sense of betrayal by the British when they called a halt to the operation (under US diplomatic and financial pressure).
