Jessie's Outlaw Reviews
I wasn't expecting to like this book, but once I'd picked it up I couldn't put it down. The plot was fun and moved swiftly, the characters more realistic than I'd usually expect when the setting is the old west/santa fe trail. The main characters are endearing, and the supporting cast (especially the indomitable Bertha and her mule) kept things interesting (and me laughing). I really liked this book!
This is the debut book from my high school drama coach, the funniest, smartest, most amazing person I have ever met. She always adds humor into her books...check her out!
Not sure why I originally had a 5 star rating on this. The story itself was good but the writing sucked.
