Bloodstained Heart: Part 1 - Passion Reviews
Oooh. You made me feel sorry for Felicity and I soooo didn't want to. After reading the Heart Trilogy it was great to see what made Felicity the cold and driven woman she became. At the same time I felt so sad for her. Audrina has written this in such a masterful way that you can't pinpoint the exact moment when the sweet and innocent girl turns into a ruthless murderess. It reads well as a stand alone but if, like me, you have read the original trilogy first then the added dimensions of how the stories link together makes this an ingenious and very satisfying read. Consider this my first nag to you Audrina Lane to get the second part finished asap. I know I'm not the only one waiting with baited breath. Thank you for a great book.
A great prequel to the saga of Stephanie & James, Charlotte & Mitchell & their antagonist Felicity. I was not expecting to like Felicity at all but her story is an important one. She certainly had it rough growing up and her stony exterior is certainly as a result of her bloodstained heart, it's her way of staying in control & not building herself up to be let down. But at what point does that turn into pure evil? I can't wait for Part 2! I always wondered why she had Mark murdered, it seemed so unnecessary! Don't keep us waiting too long for the next installment Audrina :)
Those of you that read my reviews have probably figured out that I’m a huge Audrina Lane fan, but I was leery about reading this book. Why? “Bloodstained Heart: Part 1” is based on the god-awful Felicity from the Heart Trilogy, the woman who made everyone’s lives miserable. But I must say, I really liked this book and the history it provided about how Felicity became the miserable human that she did!Felicity is 17 years old when her mother Martha marries the super rich and super freaky Malcolm. He employs Felicity as a coat check girl at one of his creepy sex clubs, makes her call him Daddy, and watches her through holes in her walls. Overall, he’s just a gross guy, which is a shame because Felicity is just a nice, normal girl at this point. The family goes on vacation including Malcolm’s son, Tony, who befriends Felicity and she instantly has the hots for him. While she thinks they’re flirting and falling for one another, Tony is actually prepping Felicity for a gross, horrible plan devised by Malcolm. Oh, the best part of the plan, Martha is in on it. The plan is put into place on Tony’s 25th birthday and after that, we meet the evil, bitter, sick Felicity that we met in the Heart Trilogy.I don’t want to give spoilers so I’ll try not to focus on the remaining events of the novel, but I did really enjoy this different perspective on Felicity. There are some very disturbing scenes in this book and it doesn’t excuse the woman who Felicity becomes, but it sheds some light on why she is who she is. Audrina Lane literally created a soulless character in Felicity, without an ounce of moral fiber making up her body. This new perspective on the situation with James made me angry all over again about her tearing James and Stephanie apart, and it was heartbreaking how she treated him in the end.Once again I have read an Audrina Lane book that I loved. I’m not sure if I loved it as much as I did the Heart Trilogy books, but it’s definitely very close! “Bloodstained Heart: Part 1” is a page turner from beginning to end and the ending most definitely leaves you wanting more. Lane consistently develops exciting plots, suspense, and larger than life characters that you will not soon forget. I cannot wait until Part 2 is released to learn more about Felicity’s insane story!*Disclaimer: I received a copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Unexpected twists, shocking revelations, all in the name of control. Felicity has a stepfather who controls her mother but since Felicity is in the picture he wants to control her as well but her rebellious nature wont allow it. I enjoyed the story and cant wait for part two.
4.5 starsAfter reading the original trilogy I knew I didn't like Felicity very much however I warmed to her a little when I read what had happened to her. The warmth didn't last long as bitch Felicity came back with a bang and all the reasons I had not to like her in the first place were facing me once again. Bloodstained Heart part 1 is well written and pretty emotional. I'm definitely downloading part 2 next.
Another awesome book expertly written by Audrina Lane. Ends with a cliffhanger that just makes you want more. Anyone that has read her Heart Trilogy, this book is a must read! So excited for the second book in the series to be released. The characters are so relatable and up to date. Action, sex, drama, love, heartbreak, this book has it all. Series you will want to read over and over.
