For me, it started with the Beatles, The Monkees and The Beach Boys. Who hasn’t had a crush on a singing heart throb? That’s what makes We Owned the Night so mesmerizing- what if your daydream fantasy came true one night? That’s what happened to the beautiful and talented Amelie, known as Milie. She’s a passionate and ambitious junior designer for an upscale Italian clothier. She is also a klutz and all around nice girl, which is why fabulously handsome and sexy Ricco, son of the Italian clothier cares about her so much. One night, Millie gets front row seats to a concert by her favorite new band- Craze. She and the lead singer Dex, he has an incredible voice and personality, lock eyes and instantly fall in love. There are many complications that keep them apart, but the ending is like a scene from a movie. This book is slow moving- but it works! It makes for a great story, because the pacing allows you to really get inside Millie and Dex. You get to know them and their thoughts and feelings. You also get to travel to some amazing locales such as Milan and Dublin. I truly bonded with Millie and Dex and I didn’t want their story to end. Grab this book and enjoy!! I received a copy of the manuscript and I was asked to review it. This is my unbiased and uncompensated review.
