4.5 sci-fi starsShort stories can be tricky to pull off. Elusive Radiance goes to show it can be done, and done well. Within the first few pages, the characters and setting come to life. I had a vivid image of who was who and their surroundings. The perfect amount of detail was given.Anais and Savea are delightful characters. The plot took some unexpected twists and turns that kept me flicking the pages, and in away, made me pleased the story was short and concise. Patience is not my strong point when a plot becomes bogged down with unnecessary details. The fact Office Anais blends (becomes invisible) when distressed or embarrassed proved helpful and at times somewhat humorous. The heat in the book was perfect, sexy, erotic and again not overdone. My heart was in my throat as the story neared a nail biting conclusion. I honestly didn’t know which direction it was going to go in. I can say, I turned the last page with a smile on my face. Finally, I ummed and ahhed about picking up this story when I saw it was sci-fi. I’m so pleased I took a chance as I really can’t say enough good things about it. Well done indeed, Aidee. I sincerely hope the author has another lesbian romance in the pipeline. *Hint. This is a delightful read, well written and quick-paced. There is an erotic tension between the two main characters right from the start, and a satisfying romance that sustains the tension through to the end. The narrator, Anais, is a genetically engineered security agent, considered non-human and property of the Levantar Los Ojos Spindle. She is assigned to guard Savea Blackmun, a delegate from the backwater colony of Helion. Savea is beautiful and confidently charming, but unfamiliar with the circles she must move in; Anais offers to be guide as much as guard, and her erratic ability to turn invisible proves very useful. In more ways than one. It's primarily an erotic romance, but there are glimpses of a real science fiction story beyond that, and I hope this will be explored in sequels. I mean, forget the romance and the erotica, I want to know about the 'ancient alien engineering' of the Levantar Spindle. What a tease...

4 HeartsAnais is an Elusive; a genetically modified human, who has the ability to become invisible. Her duty is security, and her task is to protect the delegate of Helion, Savea. Savea is flirty, and is not shy about showing her interest in Anais. Anais is hesitant, but cannot help but feed into her own fantasy of being with the stunning delegate. I’m disappointed that this was so short. I was really enjoying it. The world building was simple but good. The character development was thorough for a short story. There was a little bit of action, because what’s a sci-fi story without a little drama.I enjoyed the exchanges between Anais and Savea. Their chemistry worked well. I thought their personalities were well defined, and strong. Anais is shy, because she’s pretty much a servant. Parentless and born in a lab, she dreams of freedom and love. Savea is confident and outspoken, honest, and real.A copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review

3.5 -- A fun little piece of sci-fi erotica involving two women from very different stations joining forces in more ways than one. Anais, bred to serve with her genetic skills is immediately taken in by the noble-born trade delegate, Savea. What ensues is an enjoyable, exploratory romp for both of them that ends on a rather sweet and hopeful note. However, I do feel that the universe, combined with Anais and Savea's courtship, would have been better served by a novella, rather than this novelette length short story. As it stood, the relationship felt very rushed and the fascinating political climate was only briefly examined. I'd honestly love to revisit this world with a novella or full-length story featuring other beautiful, enlightened and politically savvy sci-fi women having hot sex. Oh yeah.(Edit: I really would like to read more in this universe. It's absolutely overflowing with potential based on the politics established here and the world desperately needs more stories about interesting space ladies hooking up.)

This book is amazing. I think I'm fast becoming a fan of Aidee's work whether it's MM or FF. This piece has exactly the right pacing, the right intuition from each character to the others. It's simple in its shortness, but still with plot twists woven in beautifully. Too much plot and not enough plot are the devils of short stories but this one has found the perfect amount.I loved the public atmosphere wrapped within the sexual components of this piece. It added to the pacing in making both plot and sex move along appropriately and it certainly added to the heat of the scenes. This is a fantastic and amazing story to read. I'll certainly be picking up other works Aidee publishes along the way.AJ**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review from Inked Rainbow Reads**

Independent reviewer for Divine Magazine, I was gifted my copy of this book.Security detail Anais is going solo and is protecting Delegate Savea, But Anais is more than just a bodyguard, she has a keen mind, and is very well versed on the other delegates and their trade agreements. Savea makes use of Anais' mind and her body. An attempt on Savea's life makes her take drastic measures to keep Anais.Short, so deliciously short! 41 pages, 45 minutes, but it carries a lot of weight. Often, in these short stories, a lot is missing: character development, history and the like, but I found this one to have just enough. Just enough to keep me engrossed, enough to leave me interested n these people and their world, enough to have me hunting on Goodreads and Amazon to find out if they have any more books. And enough to leave me sad because I couldn't find any!Savea makes full use of Anais' mind, and body, using Anais' invisibility to her full advantage. But equally, Anais makes use of Savea's body too, doing all manner of enjoyable things to Savea under the table! One thing stopped it from getting 5 stars, even for such a short book. Single. Person. Point. Of. View! I wanted to hear from Savae, of course I did, I always want more but Savea has a lot to say and only Anais is given a voice. I wanted to know what Savea thought of Anais on that first meeting, how she felt about being with a woman after being married, about her attraction to Anais, about how she felt at the news of her father and why she did what she did for Anais at the end.It is, in my opinion, a perfect introduction to these two women and what they have to deal with, WILL have to deal with from now on. I really hope the author will write more of them.4 solid stars**same worded review will appear elsewhere**

This is a very different type of read for me but that being said I did enjoy this short well written story.Anais is a genetically engineered security guard who is assigned to Savea a delegate from the colony of Helion, Savea is not shy when it comes to showing Anais her flirty side but Anais is hesitant to take it further even though she has her own fantasies about the delegate. This sci-fi erotic romance was a bit short for my liking but it was enjoyable and the characters were easy to like and they certainly had chemistry.

Tried to step out of my usual reading genre but this story just didn't do it for me. Nothing against the author in any way, shape or form. If you're fan of sci-if I think you will enjoy this story! *arc was given for honest review*

Really liked the characters and it was pretty steamy. I'd like a sequel!
