Meet The Megafauna: The giant and unusual animals that roamed Australia before and just after humans arrived Reviews
This is an informative book for children introducing them to Australian pre-historic animals. As a follow up to Elaine Ouston's research into her books for children 'The Mystery of Nida Valley' and 'Captured'. This was sought by schools, parents and children wanting to know more about the giant Australian animals that roamed our continent. The beautiful illustrations are by Aaron Pocock and the late Kevin Burgemeestre. Having a figure of a girl beside each image to relate to the size of the animals is a great way to relate to kids and adults alike, the amazing size of these creatures.
A fine companion to books about dinosaurs. I see this being very popular in school and home libraries. I'd love to see more of these quality non-fiction Aussie picture books for children, especially those that focus on the less-known animals in an innovative manner.
