***I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are 100% my own.***It’s winter in Glen Arbor. It’s full of snow and small town friendliness. Hannah runs her parents shop while they’re spending winter in Florida, all while wishing she’d get a teaching position in another state. Then she meets the mysterious new mailman. Jasper is new to town and all he wants to do is escape his past. He wants a fresh start in a new town and Glen Arbor might be that town. And he does like Hannah. And Hannah does like him. They find themselves becoming good friends, and when his past comes back to haunt him, he finds that the small town friendliness in Glen Arbor is more than what he wants, it’s precisely what he needs. It reminds me of this scripture in the Bible. Luke 12:31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.I enjoyed this story. It is pretty short, I read it in less than 2 hours. And there’s a lot of scripture and references to the Bible. I liked Hannah and though at times Jasper’s attitude gave me ‘tude too, knowing his history, it’s understandable. My only real complaint in this story is that it could have been longer. But it is a Christmas tale, and not intended to be long.Ms. Christensen writes a delightful, clean tale of fresh, new romance. I can’t say love really, but it’s the beginnings of a romance. And the religious notes are heavy in this but they don’t feel preachy to me. Rather the scripture that is quoted directly relates to where the characters are in the story, rather than trying to teach the reader a lesson. That can sometimes be a fine line to tread and I feel like Ms. Christensen did a great job of staying on this side of the line. So would I recommend this story? If you’re looking for a sweet, clean Christmas story, this is definitely the story for you!

This was a cute and clean Christian read that reminded me a lot of my hometown and our yearly Christmas Eve service. This novel was written in such a way that the town of Glen Arbor, could be anywhere - and the people that reside there could be the very people you say hello to every day. It was a refreshing change from some of the other novels I have read of late as this one contained no scenes of a sexual nature, and very little kissing (in fast there is only one scene that I can remember even that happening in). It is overall a very sweet and heart-warming tale of two people finding each other - and being exactly what the other needed. There were a couple of things in this story however that I felt kept it from being a solid five star read. To start, it was way too short for me. I understand that this is a Christmas story, and therefore probably not made to be long, but it seemed a bit too fast paced - and the ending rather abrupt with no real closure. I also felt that there were some gaps that needed to be filled in - what was the real story behind Jasper's estrangement from his parents? Who was the mystery man Hannah saw entering the house? It seemed that we never really got to know who Jasper was. Perhaps that was done intentionally, however there seemed moments where Jasper suddenly had an attitude that was a major turn off.Even with those few things, I would still recommend this novel to those who are looking for a quick Christmas read. DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

I loved reading Secret Angel. I feel the characters of Hannah and Jasper were very well developed and easy to relate to. The book was a great combination of sweet romance with a touch of suspense. As I read the book it was very easy to picture the characters and their settings. I couldn’t help but to think that this would make a great Hallmark Christmas Movie. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great readSecret Angel is a sweet Christmas novella. I loved the interactions between the characters. Secret Angel takes you to a town where you would want to live. It's a place where you would be surrounded by friendly and neighborly people who really care. The budding romance between two strangers, Hannah and Jasper, and a cat with lots of personality makes this story romantic yet fun, with a little mystery. I highly recommend reading this book.

This was such a cute, heart warming book! The characters were well-defined - kind of like someone you knew while you were growing up in a small town. And Jingles the cat was awesome :)

A sweet holiday novella perfect for anyone looking for a quick read, with characters to enjoy. I won’t get into details, except even with the limited space this novella has, the author does a wonderful job with her characters and draws you into the story quite well. The little bit of innocent suspense is fun to speculate about as you watch the relationship grow between Hannah and Jasper. Nicely done. Reviewed by Cyrene

The story is a cute little tale set in a quaint little town. The characters Hannah and Jasper are engaging and funny at times . It seems they are both looking for a place to belong and perhaps looking for a little romance along the way. I did enjoy the various scriptures the author placed throughout the story. It is a clean romance with definite roots in faith and community. Several unexpected blessings happen to various members in the town that make everyone think there is a Secret Santa among them. Jasper is trying to get away from his past , but someone in the town recognizes him. I did feel a little let down when the author never went into detail why Jasper and his parents are estranged from each other. The reason for him being there was not clearly defined or explored fully in the story as well. Even though I did enjoy the story, I found it to be very predictable and hoped the author would have written a bit more instead of leaving unanswered questions. It is almost like a book that has missing pages. I received a copy of this book from Librarything for an honest review.

Secret Angel is a sweet Christian romance perfect for the holiday season. Hannah meets Jake, a handsome stranger who's hiding something about his past. Not knowing what it is, Hannah does the one thing she can: she prays for him.In the town of Glen Arbor, you meet plenty of colorful locals (including an escape-artist cat named Jingles), who act like locals do in small towns--they take an interest in each other's lives, especially when it comes to a budding romance. What I liked best was the insertion of various facts about the region that Hannah included on Christmas cards she made. It added a nice flavor to the story.

I received a copy for an honest review. The story seemed a bit lacking in substance and a bit rushed. It seemed like the storyline wasn't developed thoroughly as the mystery surrounding Jasper's childhood and parents were not solved nor answered. I wish that the author had developed the storyline and characters a bit more. Unfortunately, my favorite character was Jingle the cat and not the main characters of the story.
