Is there anything hotter than a sexy billionaire that won't take no for an answer? Or a smart woman who refuses to give in? Dr. Swift is as taken back with Lake Mitchell as I was. Not only is he tall dark and handsome, but he's sexy and mysterious. And Nick, who needs a boyfriend when your best friend is a wealthy playboy who secretly loves you. It's a fight to the finish for both me. One that will stop at nothing to have the woman of his dreams and the other who will fight to protect her and keep her safe from the one man who's hell bent on claiming the girl he's always loved. It's a exceptional story of intrigue when Lake see's the mysterious out of place doctor at The Raven's Nest, his private anything goes club. He's so enamored by the beautiful brunette that he want to claim him for himself, stepping into her world as a patient. It's so damn hot, it leaves you breathless. Lake is sex on legs and Eliza is the recipient of his adoration and game of cat and mouse. But she won't come easily. No man threatens her boundaries and Lake Mitchell will have to prove his worth the cost, even if his presence is only a masquerade.

I won this book from Goodreads. Overall, I liked the story. I do have mixed feelings about how I feel about Eliza. I do like Lake, even though he does come across very strong willed and domineering. Eliza is best friends with Nick and has been since they were kids. She feels that nothing will ever come between them in their friendship. He is a member of a secret sex club, which happens to be owned by Lake. Because Eliza is a sex therapist, she begs Nick to take her to the club so she can get a sense of the lifestyle that some her patients lead. That is when Lake first spots her and just knew she was destined to be his. Nick, on the other hand, decides he wants to move their friendship into something more but Eliza refuses. Lake starts pursuing Eliza and does not like the relationship between Nick and Eliza. The first time he takes Eliza home, he answers some texts from Nick to Eliza. This is the first time that I don't like she handles the situation. I didn't like the way she treated Nick because of something that Lake does. Lake really starts pursuing Eliza, telling her he wants forever with her. Eliza is afraid to let her guard down and allow Lake into her heart. It is understandable that she doesn't want to get hurt and have her heart broken, but the book made it sound like she had had a bad experience before but nothing was ever confirmed. She expects him to live up to these standards such as being honest but she can't do the same for Lake. An ex threatens to destroy what Lake and Eliza have, leaving Eliza with a decision to make about where her future lies. I was satisfied with the ending but I would like to Nick get his own story.

I liked the story line. Dr Eliza Swift is a sex therapist and it makes one wonder just how she earned a PhD and yet be so naive about sex. She actually had to make a field trip to a private sex club to expand her horizon. Before she could gain any experience, she was intercepted by the club owner who took it upon himself to educate her. Lake Mitchel was a wealthy business man who was determined to get what he wants. I feel that Eliza was way too submissive and should have fought more against his demands. But as the story goes, she submits, he gets what he wants and everyone is happy. It is a good story that has some good twists and turns that keeps it interesting. I would recommend this book to all romance novel lovers.

*I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads Giveaway*I wanted this book to be the anti-50 Shades. It was definitely much more well written (in my opinion) than FSoG. It was good. I enjoyed it. I liked the characters. I LOVE that the female lead character had opinions and a back bone! I wanted it to be kinkier than it was. But that is just my opinion. It was definitely enjoyable, and the sex was hot. To me, the dialogue between the mains was a bit repetitive, but it's been a long time since I was in a relationship, so my view on that could be skewed a bit. All in all, I DID like this book. :)
