A chase across the galaxy has ended at Earth, as told in Galactic Shadows, Book 2 of The Nodes of God Series. Now two of the alien pursuers, Bit and Mon-ee, are transposed into human form and sent to Earth to retrieve the ancient Artifact from the vanished race known as the Antecedents, which was stolen from their archaeological team. They’re met on Earth by three human agents of the first Artificial Intelligence machine, DENNIS, and begin their adventures on what they find to be the bewildering, frightening, crowded, unexpected and overwhelming Earth of 2054. The planet, teaming with human primates, is nothing like Bit and Mon-ee - now humans themselves – expected. They find a society that to them is a peculiar mix of technologies, many of which seem too advanced for a race without faster-than-light travel capabilities or gravitics. The natives are friendly and enjoy a rich culture which apparently derives from the diversity of their substantial population. On the other hand, their Artificial Intelligence machines are something else! You’ll be there with our alien visitors as they attempt, with their new human and AI acquaintances, to negotiate an unusual, confusing planet that has dangers that often aren’t seen until it’s too late … From Global Jele Publishing: Not in Our Stars continues the odyssey to retrieve the most important Artifact of an ancient race ever discovered. The setting is Earth in the not-too-distant-future and the tale is told with a keen vision of how the world is likely to be at the beginning of the second half of the 21st century. The science is stimulating, the characters are richly developed, and there’s a message about free will and the meaning of life that was introduced in Galactic Shadows, and is delivered in Not in Our Stars. This big novel, over 138,000 words, has everything a reader could look for in a hard science fiction tale. This is an adult novel which is unsuitable for persons under 18. Not in Our Stars is Book 3 of The Nodes of God Series...

Not in Our Stars (Nodes of God, #3) Reviews
I wrote it so I love it. Putting my bias to the side, the book is about First Contact, Artificial Intelligence, what it means to be human, aliens reacting to the civilization we've created - what they love and hate, and how we might stack up against our sentient peers elsewhere in the galaxy. The book attempts to demonstrate that, at least intelligent life has free will, and it proposes a potential meaning of life. There's also transformation of young aliens into humans, conflict, romance, damage and trials, action, adventure, drama, and a mostly happy ending.Best of all, there's a glimpse into a future many of us will live to see.
This is the third book in a comprehensive 3-book series covering a range of issues from the AI singularity, to copying minds from humans to computers, to first contact with aliens, and to a philosophical discussion of the meaning of life. Character development continues from book 1 and so I recommend that you read the books in order. This Book 3 continues from the cliffhanger ending of Book 2.
