Agnes Aggie Hunter (18, Engineering) was found dead. Did she commit suicide or was she murdered?Detective Jacob Slaughter & Detective Kingsley Pruitt were doing the investigation.Samuel Sam (older brother), Alexandra Lexie Smith (Sam’s G/F), Gregory Kindle, Benjamin Clay (Lexie’s cousin, suspect), & Mary-Kate Pearson (informant, college student, criminal law) were all interviewed/interrogated. Father Paul presided over the funeral service.Did 1 of those PPL kill Agnes? I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one. A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written who-dun-it murder mystery short story (book). It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. Just when you think you have it all figured out. This could also make another great who-dun-it murder mystery movie, or mini TV series. To be continued? A very easy rating of 5 stars. Closed door... I think this book should be a novel. Its hilarious too.. I wondered what sort of parents wouldn't trust their children so, but after that insight, I do not fault them.Suspense was made for this author. C. M. Okonkwo handles this well! Now I'd be weary before opening a closed door!

Great! Great! Great! Just the way i like it. Well constructed suspense, reminds me of the likes of Dean Koontz, too intriguing to be a short story. A must read. Big thumbs up to the author.

An Absorbing Mystery with a Surprise SpinThis is my first time reading works by C.M. Okonkwo and it won’t be my last. This short story is thoughtful, insightful and captivating, centering on Agnes who spends too much time in a locked bathroom, which is also shared by her sister, Angela, who sometimes has to ask her parents or brother if she can use theirs. But as the story advances, you begin to wonder why Angela’s parents and, Samuel, her creepy brother, who have their own bathroom, are not that keen on letting her use theirs. There are some humorous antics occurring among the many-sided and well-developed characters, but that is all about to change when a horrific incident occurs, resulting in family discord, suspicion, mistrust, scandal, lust, betrayal, deceit, and retribution. The author is good at keeping the reader speculating, throwing curveballs, twists and turns, and exposing secrets and lies, so much so, the ending will shock you to the core.

Closed Door is a short story that I read basically in one sitting. It's fast paced, intriguing and an ingenious mystery with a revealing and surprising end. It leaves you curious to know what will happen next, with a good cliffhanger. The family portrayed seems at most times to be dysfunctional, maybe it was the author's intention, in order to insert more intrigue and mystery into the story. The mother's apparent insensitivity to the situation and almost childlike behavior maybe clues into the development of a more psychological side for a follow up. I'm curious to find out what happens in the next installation. Overall, great imagination and plot.
