This is very much in the same witty vein as Ben le Vay's earlier books, Eccentric Britain etc. You could think of it as another travel book, but this time traveling around your own home and seeing everything in a new and slightly weird light. Fascinating and sometimes laugh-out-loud hilarious. As there is no particular "story" to the book it can be read in small chunks, and so I recommend it for any room in the house that people visit regularly for a few minutes at a time.

Very informative and humorous but not always written in the clearest language.
