This is book two in the series. It continues where book one Worshipped ends so make sure you read it first. This is Jason and Karen's story who we have met in book one. Their story started off at a good pace and had me hooked from start to finish. My emotions were all over the place reading this. The writing is superb and the storyline is gripping. As for the ending-holy wowzers I need book three now. Highly recommend this book. So looking forward to book three.

After reading book 1, I could not wait to start book 2. Right at the end of book 1 we find out some things about Josh/Jason that leave your mouth hanging open so I couldn’t wait to find out answers. Karen and Jason broke down my emotions so many times. I went from laughing, to being angry, to frustrated, and then to actual tears in my eyes. Karen has suffered her own loss that she still isn’t recovering from very well. But when she meets Jason for the first time she knows that she needs to take a chance on him. She finally decides to open herself up to someone because maybe not everyone is bad or maybe life can be happy again. But Karen soon finds herself in a situation she never saw coming. Jason hasn’t had the best life either. Throughout the book we find out why he is the way he is and why he has done the things he has done. I have such a love/ hate relationship with Jason. There were times I wanted to crawl through my kindle and smack him or shake him and say get it together dummy!! There were times he made me so mad but other times he made me swoon. This book is told through both Jason and Karen’s POVs so we get both sides to the story. When the book ended I literally screamed NO!!!!! AHHHH I honestly cannot wait to see what Brie has for the next book in the series. My fingers are crossed that more characters that we meet get books because I loved them all. Don’t miss out on this book. I absolutely love this series!!!

Betrayed picks up where Worshipped left off, but now we are given the POV of Karen and Jason. Poor Karen has been ripped out of her world and thrust into one of violence, fear, and chaos. There were so many things that Jason was hiding from her and she just wants the truth. There were times where I wanted to strangle Jason in the beginning for not just telling her what was going on, but at the same time I understood that he was afraid of losing her completely. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Even when they were at odds with each other, it was impossible to deny the heat between them. I was hoping that they would work past the odds stacked against them and find their happiness. There is so much going on in this story, so many twists and turns that its impossible to try to guess how things will play out. I don't want to give much away but I will say that we are left unsure of what the future will bring for everyone involved, and the danger is not over yet. The epilogue seriously gave me chills! Can't wait to see what will happen next!

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review. Review for 2 Girls Who Love Books Blog.Brie paisley had done it again for me.. What a brilliant and amazing read.. You are truly talented and your an amazing writer.. Another book of the year and an amazing journey. I am completely lost for words...Please note that Betrayed is not a standalone. Worshipped must be read first.. Without doing so, you will not understand or follow the story.. So please read worshipped first..Also please note that betrayed is alot more darker and twisted than worshipped. Not only does it prove and show brie's talents as a writer. But also this maybe due to the characters. As they are completely different from worshipped. But please do not be put off by this as it's amazing and again I can not fault or say a bad word about this book or the series.So... In saying this.. Betrayed follows on from the ending of Worshipped but in a completely different path. As you follow the story or pov of Karen and Josh.Their relationship and journey of discovery and love is not a bed of roses and has a few thorns.. Their emotions and feelings for each other does indeed pull at your heart.. Again you feel like shouting, swaring and kicking your kindle across the room or yanking josh out of the pages and giving him a good old kick in the nuts..I loved the characters of this story. Even in the darkness I loved every second.. You can not stop turning the pages.. Wanting more. Needing more.. I loved the style this book was in hearing from both the leading character as you delve into their minds and feelings. The sex scenes and the saucyness of this book are again off the charts. As the characters are completely different than worshipped so was betrayed. The scenes also delved into the zone of pain and pleasure. Love and hate. Trust. Submission and dominance. To me personally I felt a connection to the book.. My mind and feelings were in the hands of the characters. When they cried I cried.. When the characters were mad so was I. I was truly upset when betrayed ended as I never wanted it too end. I can not wait for book 3 or future book from this series. Please be soon.. Again this book deserves at least 10 stars.. It is amazing. Brie you totally rock and I can not wait for more from you.. So thank you again for this amazing read.. Fan for life.. Xxx

After reading Worshipped, I thought I knew what to expect with Betrayed. Wow, was I ever wrong. Betrayed is a much, much darker, more intense read. We met Karen and Josh/Jason in Worshipped and at the end he had taken her. Betrayed picks up there. Josh/Jason is on the run and Karen is scared for her life. They go from motel to motel, never staying in one place very long. Josh/Jason keeps her cuffed to the bed if he has to leave and sometimes he comes back covered in blood. Whose blood is it? His own? Has he killed someone? Karen is deathly afraid to ask too many questions because deep down she is falling for this man who may very well kill her in the end. Little does she know, he is doing all of this for her protection and to try to get her to the safety of his home in Mexico. The editing in this book was very good, even for an ARC, it read like a finished product. The characters were well developed. I liked the POVs because I got to see more of Jason's personality. Had it been only from Karen's side, I would have thought him nothing more than a stone cold killer and her a prisoner who was developing a hard-core case of Stockholm syndrome. The author did a great job writing this book. Honestly, I had a hard time getting involved in the story itself. It was a bit monotonous at times and I never really could commit to what exactly was going on. I realized pretty quickly that this was not the kind of book I normally read but I thought it would be more like Worshipped than it turned out to be. I give it 3 1/2 stars. I appreciate the ARC and the opportunity to read and review the book. Thank you Brie Paisley and Saints and Sinners!

Ok so I'm going to be honest as all get out here. When I first started this book I could not get into it. I was still thinking of everything that happened in Worshipped with Riley and the guys and almost didnt keep on reading. But after I got out of the mindset of Riley (which was not easy) I fell in love with this book. Jason has a darkness to him and it isn't really until the end of the book or at least 75% to where he has some redeeming qualities about him. He did kidnap Karen and keeps her basically locked up at any chance he can so for me I hated Jason for a majority of the book. But I wanted to know why he was the way he was and why he was doing what he was to Karen so i kept reading and once again I was so glad that I did. Karen has a somewhat normal life but something about Jason (or Josh as she knows him at the beginning) makes her question everything during the time he has her in his captivity. I loved learning both of their stories. and honestly cannot wait for more in the Worshipped series to not only see what happens between Karen and Jason but also what may end up happening to Riley and the guys because we all know after book 1 Riley's story is not complete either.

OK you MUST read Worshipped first!!! You will be lost if you don't.So in Betrayed we picked up with Karen and...Josh. Starting with a flash back of when he .....saved her, kidnapped her, it's the same right? Karen has no real clue who Josh is, even though she thought she did. She does know that he can turn her body on like no other, I'm talking hot dominate scenes here people!! SEXY hot scenes.Josh has good intentions toward Karen, he has his reasons even if he won't share what they are. Will he save her, and himself in the process? Will she be able to accept him for who he is? Will she give up her control that she holds onto so tightly? Betrayed turned out totally different than Worshipped, almost like the author decided to try something new, and the results were, for me, worth it. This was a much darker read, and by now everyone knows I hate cliffys; that's right it's a cliffy, but I will be reading book 3 in this series, cuz now I NEED to know what happens. I give this 4 stars.

Karen closed her heart up a long time ago, When she suffered a loss of a Love One. Josh / Jason has been battling his darkness since he was a was a young child. He has seen and lived through things no child or adult should. When a job brings Karen into his life, he doesn't understand but he can't let anything happen to her. Karen has no idea why Jason has taken her away for her family and Friends. He keeps her in the dark. She is scared and fights the pull they have. But throw it all Karen makes Jason want to make her happy, so when he tells her his truth about everything can she forgive him for all the betrayal he has done. Will he be able to get her to trust hi again. From one minute to the next things can and will change. Will Jason find the peace or is he domed to stay in his darkness. The key to all his happiness is Karen can she stand strong for Jason and can Jason keep her safe. I need more. Its not a full on Love story but Love does find its way in their hearts.

♡♡Reviewed for CherryOBlossoms Promotions ♡ ♡ I gave this book 5 Stars! This is book 2 of the Worshipped Series! You will need to read book one to understand what is happening in this book and I will promise that you will want to read both books.Brie gives us both pov in this book unlike in book one and I for one can say that I love having both pov. It makes it so much easier to see where the characters are coming from. I love how Brie can drawn you in like a moth to flame and no doubt in this book you will go up in flames not from what is revealed but all the sexual tension that these two put out. She even knows how to bring some humor into this dark read even when the times are so dark. This book is a dark and mysterious. If you don't want to see what is hiding in the closet of these characters then you better not read because they have some dark secrets that is not for the faint of heart. The characters are the secondary characters out of the first book. We met them in Riley, Isaac and Conner story. Karen and Jason book shines a light into who Vincent really is and what lengths he will go to. Karen is bound to stay in control of her life. She is battling her own demons when she is kidnapped by her boyfriend Jason. Jason has his own demons that he is battling but he is trying to keep Karen safe. Jason is a hot, sexy, dominate, that looks can kill. Can Karen trust that Jason is right and that he is truly wanting to change or will it be just end of both of them?So if your looking for an Amazing book and want something really dark then you need to read this series.

Let me start by saying, you MUST read Worshipped first. This is not a stand alone, and by reading this first, you lose valuable plot points that are crucial to the story. Now to the review. Betrayed was a bit different than I thought it was going to be. It picked up where Worshipped left off but this time it focused on Karen, Riley's doctor, and Jason, the man who wasn't what he appeared to be.We got a glimpse of this couple in the first book, but this one dove right in to what was going on behind the scenes while everything was happening to Riley. It was much darker than the first and had a different tone. Brie did a great job at really getting the reader to understand just how tortured these two characters really are. With an alternating point of view you were really able to get inside the character's head and know jut how they were feeling. Some things were repeated with the dual pov but only points that needed to be made, which I liked. The writing style improved too with this book.Karen was much different than I thought she would be. She's stronger than she appears and is a woman with purpose. Jason is a man struggling with his inner demons. I think I liked his character more than Karen. Honestly, I would have loved for him to go darker. He does it so well. I have a thing for tortured alphas with a killer instinct.I can't wait to see how the story all ties together in the conclusion of the series

Betrayed Brie Paisley3.5 starsThis is the second book in the series from a different point of view per say. We get both ends of the spectrum as this is Karen and Jason’s sides. This book starts immediately up where we left off in Worshipped. I have to say I felt at times I was reading the same events just in a different sequence. It was frustrating at times and I wanted things to move forward from the stand still. This book is darker – it holds a lot stomach turners meaning it rolls into secrets. This isn’t the last of the series so I don’t know how things are going to end. You definitely need to read Worshipped first and then head into this one. You do find out some interesting things about Jason and that his life was not all sunshine and happiness to say the least. He has done things that jade that past. Of course Im not giving up on the series but I hope that we get some answers and we aren’t drug down the same road in the last book. I wanted more answers and I wanted to know more about some certain aspects of our characters. There wasn’t enough detail for me but that is just my opinion so again if you are reading the series click it up and let me know what you think. You do get a cliffy so hang tight.Thank you for the ARC – Review to post to Ramblings from Beneath The Sheets.

This book had me all over the place, Karen and Jason. She is the angel to his devil. All he wanted to do was protect her, but it just made him out to look like a monster. But in reality he really is a monster. Underneath it all, he craves he darkness, until her. She saves him, makes him want to be a better man. Karen is drawn to him, and she knows there is more to him than the monster than overcomes him when things go wrong. I loved this book, you feel for both characters, but also you just wanted to strangle them at times. They are both so stubborn, Karen especially! I honestly don’t know how I would have reacted if I were put into her situation. They are on the run, but technically not willingly. In the end, things get bad, lines are crossed and you can never really tell black from white. Poor Jason does what he has to do to make things right. I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book.

Brie F-ing Paisley.. YOU ARE KILLING ME, SMALLS! Just when I thought I knew where this book was going, you had to go and pull a 180. If I could have hoped on a plane and flown to see you, I would have been screaming and pointing at the end of this book. The cliffhanger was frustratingly amazing. Betrayed is the kind of book that requires a fan, fresh panties, and a punching bag. You will find yourself hot and bothered and at the same time, needing to punch the shit out of something in frustration. Knowing this is Paisley’s second book, I was left in shock and awe. She writes like a seasoned veteran and has mastered the ability to even shock this seasoned reader and blogger. Karen and Jason’s story will skyrocket your love for this author. Now… WHEN DO I GET BOOK #3?!?!?!

A continuation of worshipped. A must read series, I could not wait to read betrayed. In the end of worshipped Rileys best friend Karen is missing. Betrayed is Karen and Josh's story. It rotates between both POV, and helps to follow such an emotional story. Karen is terrified the man she trusted and cared for has kidnapped her and is tying her to the bed in random motels while he is leaving to do unknown acts. He returns covered in blood scaring karen even more with the unknowns.Josh is fighting his own demons and past, how can he care for someone and be risking so much to keep her safe. This book is another emotionally packed book by Brie Paisley. I look forward to the third book in the series to find out the future of Josh and Karen. As well as Riley, Issac and Connor from Worshipped.

This was a good book and I highly recommend this book along with Worshipped. Karen is a strong willed woman who has suffered a horrible loss and fells responsible for it and doesn't let anyone close. She meets Josh and decides to finally open herself up to someone only to find that may not be the wisest choice she could make. No matter what she does she cannot get away from him. He will find her. Will she still fall for him after all?You have Josh or shall I say Jason and he has had a rough life. He meets Karen and kidnaps her because she is just a job for him. He is darkness and Karen is the light to his dark. How long will Karen remain just a job to him? Will Karen's light break the darkness in Josh's life? I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Loved every minute of this book Brie Paisley!! Taken by the man she is falling in love with, away from her friends and family. Not even knowing where she is or what he is going to do next. Karen is beside herself with fear and sickened by the fact she still wants him....Jason is battling the darkness that is threatening to take over. Karen means everything to him. He must save her, even if it's from himself...Packed with action, sex scenes that could melt your kindle and so many twists and turns. This book had me pacing the floor. I didn't know what was going to happen next. I couldn't put my kindle down. I can't wait to read book 3 ❤️

Wow!! This is book two in the series so I suggest you read Worshipped first. Brie delivers another incredible story. This book completely consumes you in ways you can't imagine. If you've read book one, you'll know what to expect, and this delivers tenfold! In this dual pov you get to really delve into both Karen and Jason's mind while you're on this roller coaster that will leave you completely hungover. Both characters are so hurt, broken, and down that this makes for one hell of a ride. And Brie just keeps giving you more and more as you turn those pages. Incredible story. One click now!!

I can actually say that I liked this book more than Worshipped . Karen was the character that I wanted to know more about and I'm glad that I got to read her story. This book had me on the edge of my seat and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. There was so much going on that there was no way that I was putting this book down. I loved the fact that Karen always fought Jason and she never gave up until she had no choice but to. I look forward to reading the next book in this series to see how everything is going to play out.

This was another great read. I liked the second book a lot more than I did the first one. This book follows up with Karen and Jason and its told in their POV's which I also liked. Karen is still struggling with her loss and she is having trouble with it. Jason is tough guy with his own issues which I got to see more of and why he is that way. This is a great series to follow and read I really enjoyed reading both of the books.*** review provided by Obsessed by Books ***

Must read seriesSo this one is all Karen and Jason (aka Josh in Worshipped book 1). If you read Worshipped then you know what happens to Karen. If you haven't then do read the first book so you get why... It's faced paced and wow what a ride. Another amazing book from Brie. I loved it. Karen finally gets to know the real Jason and wow you get hit with that okay girl what are you going to do feeling throughout. This ends with a cliffhanger that leaves you running to pick up the final book. This series so far has not disappointed.

This book must be read after Worshipped. This was a really good read. Loved the characters and story line. Karen is a strong willed woman that doesn't let anyone close to her since her loss. Her world is turned upside down thanks to Jason.Held captive by an insanely hot man she thought she knew. Karen doesn't understand why she feels like this about Jason. He is dark, dangerous and is keeping many secrets. Karen has tried to run from him and tried to stop these feeling she has for him. Yet they just won't go away.Jason was sent to kill Karen but as soon as he seen her he just could't do it. She was the brightness to his darkness. Karen frustrates him. Does she not know that he is her best chance at survival.

Heart racing for the continuing off of Worshipped series.... I couldn't wait to continue this journey and find out what happens next.Karen is Riley's best friend as you read in the first book, this book centers around her and the man of her dreams. Or is he? Karen met Jason at the bar that was a favorite of hers and Riley's. He was what ever woman would dream of. Karen hadn't really put much effort into finding a man in her life her clinic was enough for her along with her friends. Soon Jason has her thinking of nothing but him, but one night when he kidnaps her and holds her hostage for who knows how long she is wondering what is going on. Karen was never filled in about the situation with Isaac / Connor and their problems or life prior to Riley being involved with them. Jason knows the problems and what that evil man Dominic is capable of. Jason has seen it, but can he save himself and Karen? Karen doesn't have a clue just knows she is kidnapped. Their journey is hair raising at times to say the least, I found myself trying to turn the pages before I even finished the one I was on to follow this journey and how it all played out. Their banter, love, understanding and seeing an emotional side of Jason pulls you into this book hard!!! Can this be happening to him? Is he worthy of such things? All these questions are semi answered in this book.... but like Worshipped you have to keep reading... this doesn't have a HEA ending ...it has NO ending YET... the 3rd book due out soon will have our answers. At least I hope that Brie gives us the answers and what we are all hoping that after reading these two books want. A MUST READ!!!

This is the second book in this series and Worshiped needs to be read first.Karen Keens is a successful OBGYN and the best friend of Riley Blake. When Riley's life is in danger due to her relationship with Isaac and Conner their enemies will do anything to get to her, including taking Karen. At first Karen doesn't realize what is going on but soon she finds herself in way over her head.Josh was wined and dined Karen and gained her trust but when he actually falls for her he knows he has put his own life in danger and will protect Karen at all costs. But that means that he must run from those he works for and needs Karen to trust him, even though she has no real reason to. As he begins to tell her the truth about who he really is, not Josh but Jason, will she stay with him or run at all costs?I liked this book but I wasn't initially expecting Karen's story. That being said once I began to read it I was hooked into what was going to happen next. I thought Karen was a great friend to Riley and I definitely wondered in the first book about "Josh". Karen has worked hard to get where she is and she is tough.I actually liked Jason when I got to know and understand his back story and how he truly was trapped in the life he was in. He was doing everything he could to keep Marcus, Julian and Karen safe but was running out of options. The end definitely made me super sad with the threat made and I really hope Frankie can help Karen through everything. I am definitely excited to see how everything ends now that everything seems to be coming to a conclusion!

Betrayed by Brie Paisley will blow your mind. This is not a standalone you must read Worshipped first to understand the story. in Betrayed we get the story of Karen and Jason which is a much darker twisted and insidious tale. I was not expecting to read the book I read. This book is basically a book of good versus evil. Evil comes in many forms some is innate and some forms of evil are made. I was prepared for the sexual aspect of the book but at first had a hard time reading the story. As we see Jason kidnap Karen drug and keep her handcuffed or tied up I had no liking for this character at all.Abuse in all forms really bothers me so at times I wanted to stop reading this book but there was something that made me keep coming back for more. You will be truly amazed at how twisted Brie Paisley can get. The quality of the writing and the way she draws this story out will entice and enthrall you. She gets 10 stars for making me want to continue and find the good in Jason. As we get an in depth view of Jason and his need to keep Karen safe from danger which at times includes him you see a man tormented by his past. The abuses he went through as a child and young man are written without graphic embellishment which makes them all the more horrific. The love story her is about 2 people who don't really believe they deserve love. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this story and more of Brie Paisley's work. She sold this story with great writing and sheer character analysis and I can only imagine what the next book will be like.

Five Fabulous Stars! This is the second book in the Worshipped Series and should be read in order to fully understand the story. Karen is Riley's friend from Worshipped and this is Karen and Jason's story. Karen is an OBGYN and really has not dated much. Karen meets Jason at her favorite bar and they have an instant attraction. One night Jason kidnaps Karen and keeps her hostage but she does not know why. Jason knows the only way to keep Karen safe is kidnapping her because of the evil chasing him. Will Jason be able to keep Karen safe? Wow! Ms. Paisley has done it again with this story! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading the book and could not put it down! The author again writes a well-written story full of suspense, action, mystery and romance. The story is an emotional rollercoaster and will have you feeling all the emotions of the characters. The story is dark and twisted and you will be constantly trying to figure out the answer. I was yelling at my Kindle when the book ended in a cliffhanger! I am anxiously awaiting the third book in the series! I highly recommend this series!I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club. Plot: 5Chemistry: 5Pacing: 5Ending: 5Character Development: 5

Brie Paisley has done it again and has brought to life a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The suspense is killing me...I need to know what happens. Book two of the Worshipped Series was fantastic. I loved getting to know Jason and Karen story. The sexual tension between the two is undeniable. Betrayed is not for the faint of heart though. The book has its dark moments. You can't help but love and hate both Karen and Jason throughout the book. I wanted to smack Jason a time or two. He made me so angry with how he was treating Karen. Ultimately I knew he was doing it to protect her but it still made me mad. Karen even though was put in a situation she didn't fully understand took things in stride and handled herself as best she could. Both are fighting different demons and neither want to open up to one another. Once trust is given to each other Karen and Jason's relationship is taken to a new level - the sexual tension again is so hot - some serious foreplay happened throughout the entire book. My heart just broke for the two of them by the end. This series has captured my heart. I have fallen in love with Brie's characters and am so afraid for what is going to happen in the next book. I highly recommend reading this series.

Loved this book. It is the 2nd in a series. You could probably read it without Worshipped but I recommend that book highly as well. Brie Paisley writes in such a way that you find yourself immersed in the story. I didn't want to put it down. Karen is a doctor, she needs control or so she thought. She meets Josh and thinks she might have found a happily ever after. While Karen's best friend is in danger, Karen discovers that Josh is really Jason and Jason is NOT a nice guy. When Jason whisks her away from danger, danger he caused Karen resists. She tries to get away and tries to resist her body's reaction to Jason.Jason is a bad. He knows it. He doesn't deserve Karen but he doesn't care. Karen is the light to his dark. She calms the beast within. She makes him feel things he hasn't felt in years, if ever. They are just starting to build a tentative relationship when the danger appears on their doorstep and Jason is forced again to separate Karen from the danger.I can't tell you enough how much I loved this book. I can't wait for the next and final story about Karen and Jason. One click this book, you will love it.
