Solid overview of historical epidemics in Britain from 666AD-through the mid 18th century. Some of the 'unresolved' causes for many of these outbreaks have since been discovered, so using google scholar (or wikipedia for those not in academia) in conjunction with this book makes it a priceless trove of information.
