Second to the Right Reviews
another peter pan story that claimed that it is the origin, I was so excited about it thinking it will be amazing as the preview only to find that is a fan-fiction , apparently self-published and not in a good way.I have to say that I had a conflict feelings about it cos I did hate it sometimes only to find myself enjoying it some pages later, it DID have potential but it was NOT edited right. who ever did the edit sadly made a poor job out of it, I did purchase a paperback copy, the lines all over the place, like one page will have the sentence starting with one word in the very right of the page and the rest of the sentence will follow in the next line, words were more than once mistakly written, and there was a big title at the end of the book "Detail" it was written in Bold big font which am not sure what it was referring to.one more annoying thing was the fact that the narrating felt like being a draft, some ch. were thrown in the plot, removed, and added just for the sake of it without proper build upand now am gona share my thoughts about the plot...SPOILER coming well it is not really a spoiler but the idea is very confusing as we go with the story of David an orphan who didnt want to be the successor priest and refused such apprenticeship, so he tells his two friends and runaway with them, but they got separated then he meets a gang of street rats that teach him how to steal and survive in the streets, till one day he gets nearly caught and injured when he meets a mysterious man called Ichabod who has a book store yet never disapproved on David's stealing and seemed to encourage it, Ichabod takes David to a theater to attend..guess what...PETER PAN play, and while he watching David wishes to meet Pan to go to Nederland, next morning David is caught again. then sent back to the orphange where the priest is really sadistic and cos David to run again, under the heavy rain and exhaustion David collapses infront of a family who had a little girl "Elizabeth" who help and kinda take him as a son. long events short. David loses his shadow, attach it back with Ezzi's help, finds a fairy and he calls her Tink, the priest turns out to be Mr Smee in disguise and My OH MY David is Peter Pan..WHAT!!!!! apparently there is a Pan clan, and his father who was also a Peter Pan had David somehow but Peter Pan legend is still well known as a story and David is becoming it somehow. are you confused.?? well u have to be.anyway so we still have a captain Hook who wants Pan the second cos pan the first apparently killed Hook the first infront of Hook the second, so Pan2 now have to fight Hook2 and in a duel with Peter2,Hook2 loses his hand and so he repetas the pattern from pan1 , I have to say though the novel did have good smart ideas, only if they adjusted it more...after a really good intersting fight and rescuing his sister Ezzie, Peter goes to neverland and meets the lost boys where the events twist and turn to the original plot of J.M from there.I really reallly liked more than one thing in this novel, but the cracks are to many that I can look at it only say that it should re-edited seriously, be remade with more love, the plot took a lot of time without a climax. more things needed ro be explained how on earth did Peter have a kid? who is ichabod, how come a ready made legend be a future prophecy, and how come a boy who was living in an orphanage becomea Peter who does not know what is sewing, lots and lots of faults and loose ends that need to be mend for this to be a worth read pan twist.
