J.D you nailed it!! I loved Bootycall part 2 from A to ZI remember I wasn't in a good place when I read the first part but it keeps me entertained, it got my attention and I liked it a lot.Yet with this one, I was fully immersed in Dylan and Gemma's story. They are many layers to JD's writing. It's something I've discovered throughout his four books. And here I found a more emotional connection. I cried (something I don't usually do with books). It was like I felt Dylan's pain. "You can't run away from your past"His story felt real. Dylan still acts like an asshole but with Gemma, he is another person. And what's better than to find the person who can help you, the one who can see through your flaws and hurts?Of course the journey won't be easy but who cares?I loved Gemma's determination. I loved how she sticks and believe in Dylan and his capacities to do what's right.Their connection seems pretty fast but in reality they took their time. And to be honest, when you get attached, why fight against it?This installment has more depth for me. JD found the perfect balance between steamy and romantic, revelation and confession. Bootycall part 2 is about letting go, about being able to overcome your problems and accept them. I'm very happy to support a new author like JD. Through his books but also through his interactions on the social media sites, if there's one author who deserves what is happening it's him.He is funny, doesn't take himself too seriously, and always in for a good chat. I hope you are here to stay and hope to write your books for a long time.In the future I would love to see him take more "risks" with his writing. Small books and serials are good but I want to see him write a full length novel. I also want to see a story with lovable second characters. I want to read about a whole new world where I can identify several characters and not only the two main one.Who knows ...maybe next?~ARC provided by Give me books for an honest review~

“His chiseled jawline and animalistic grace stands out enough there; here, in the sleepy suburb that my father lives in, he looks like a space alien from a porn planet. All hard, masculine edges and knowing, penetrating eyes; like every sexual fantasy I’ve ever had distilled into bitable, lickable, suckable form.” – GemmaCouldn’t put this one down from start to finish!Bootycall 2 has a modern voice, two wonderful main characters and a strong story line. This second installment couldn’t have been more perfect.Dylan’s realizations and revelations are hard won. He’s such a loving, cool badass character!! Gemma is determined, strong, she voices her thoughts and she offers the perfect blend of patience, intelligence, beauty and resilience. In this second part, the author has managed to give the perfect balance of the dynamics between the erotic and the romantic. The book is about being able to take a risk and open yourself up to another person, lay yourself bare emotionally and let someone else in. In the end, when Gemma and Dylan share what they truly feel, is when they can find happiness. That’s what real love amounts to – letting a person be what he really is.Dylan embraces his emotions and feels every little thing. When he has panic attacks, Gemma is there to fully support him and share his journey of finding love.Mr. Hawkins gives us a fast paced, super hot emotional read with richly developed dialogue. The book is sensational and it has moments that tugged at my heart. And where he really excels is the sex scenes – the heat just comes right off the pages!!The Bootycall Duet has intense dramatic action and amazing character emotional development. I really enjoyed the emotional transformation that Dylan undergoes from the beginning and throughout to the end of the story.I love the author’s strong, emotive writing. He writes to please. A definite must read! Other favorite quotes:“Our lips are drawn to each other by forces we don’t even realize, the space between us disappearing. When our mouths meet it’s soft and tender. The swell of our heartbeats seems to echo in the silent room as we fall into each other, lose ourselves for a moment in the sweetness of each other’s lips.” – Dylan“I take a step back so that I appreciate the full length of Gemma’s humble integrity. She couldn’t get much hotter if I lit her on fire.” - Dylan**ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.**

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was even better than the first part! Don't let the name of this series fool you into thinking it's a shallow read with nothing but sex in it. Oh, there's plenty of great sex scenes but this part took a turn into more serious territory. We were able to see inside of Dylan and understand why he has such an aversion to the sham that is Hollywood and is drawn to the 'realness' of Gemma.Dylan is being torn apart with self hatred that is manifested as an attempt to completely self destruct. If Gemma hopes to save him from himself and get him to see how much she believes in him for he truly is she's got her work cut out for her. Even after he's abandoned her more than once in order to try and disappear from his problems she refuses to give up and is there for him every time he needs her. He begins to see just how much of a genuine person she is and he knows he can trust her even when he doesn't trust anyone else. When the paparazzi releases a bomb of a story about the secrets of his past, it's only the relationship he and Gemma have formed that will be able to lead him away from his path to devastation.

When I first heard of Jd Hawkins's newest series being titled "Bootycall", I instantly thought that this was going to be a series of, well..bootycalls. Mindless sex, countless hookups, etc. You know how they say you should never judge a book by its cover or title...yep. Never will I do this again!! This series is so much more. Yes, you still get the hot steaminess and the sexy Dylan Marlowe. I truly fell in love with him in this book. About half way through. Dylan and I had a breakthrough. A moment. And I was a goner.Part 2 picks up exactly where part 1 left us. In a fit of rage!! Dylan had disappeared. Again. And Gemma is left dealing with his trail of bull shit. I'd like to point out, that at this point, I truly thought Gemma was a saint. And the most forgiving and compassionate person ever. It's her passion and her drive that Dylan needs. But will he let her in, let her break those walls down? Will she finally find out the secret that he's been hiding. Dylan has been carrying around so much guilt. It's about time that he is set free. Let's just hope that Gemma is capable of doing all these things. And that it's not too late. I think this might be the first review that I have ever written where I did not mention the sexy times. I think my emotions were really over taken with this book. But have no fear, my friends, JD does not fail in that department. There's a certain shower scene...that...ummm...yeah. FUCKING HOT!!The subject matter towards the end, hit too close to home for me. I swear I never related so much to a character as I had with Dylan. Strange, right? This book made me reevaluate things that I've been carrying around myself. So thank you, Hawkins, for the beautiful words you chose to write, for them words teaching myself, that it's ok to let go. JD Hawkins's writing amazes me every time I read something of his. It gets stronger and stronger every damn time. And part 2 is my favorite by far. More emotion in this one. But the best kind. It was beautiful and therapeutic. And yes. Still smoking hot!! The storyline of this series I just absolutely loved. I'm a Hollywood gossip junkie, so this was right up my alley. If you're looking for something a little different, then have yourself Bootycall!!! A definite 1-click!!

Bootycall 2, the sensational sequel to JD Hawkins' Bootycall, is steamy, suspenseful, and sweet. Swoon-a-licious. Beautiful, bright, and boisterous words in the brilliantly-written Bootycall 2 draw you in like Christen Grey beckoning you to the Red Room. You don't quite know what to expect in the Bootycall sequel, but you're ready and ravenous for this racy roller coaster of an emotional ride of a read that takes you on a terrific tour of the feels---happiness, anger, angst, and sadness---the full feast of feelings. The writing is so descriptive and compelling that it catapults you into the story instantly and you don't want to leave. Raw. Real. Refreshing. In Bootycall, Dylan ditched Gemma like a bat out of hell. The emotions pouring out of him for Gemma, his sexy and sincere guardian angel, along with the demons resting on his shoulder, felt so surreal that he fled like a thug at a crime scene. Dylan is scared for the first time that he has genuine feelings for a woman beyond making her scream in ecstasy from being the Prince of Pleasure. What Gemma and he have could turn into a relationship. Something real."I barely know her, but I still see so much when I look at her. A way out. A different life. Something pure and clean. Something strong and inviting."Gemma is supposed to be Dylan's glorified babysitter to keep Mr. Bad Boy in check so his biggest and likely blockbuster of a movie will be a raging success. She is supposed to look past their one naughty night of the best sex of their lives and keep their relationship professional. Though who she thought is a bad boy is really a man of many layers---exposing them to her---one feeling, one unselfish act, and one vulnerable piece of himself at a time."Dylan has more sides than a die...I wasn't expecting this...sensitive, real, genuine guy who's more intimidated by himself and the image he's built up than I am. And I'm right there with him...riding his roller coaster of emotions...peeling away his layers...I don't care that my heart (and my career) could be in danger, that this thing we have is unpredictable, that it goes against everything I thought I wanted---it's addictive and I can't resist the urges that he's planted inside of me."Gemma and Dylan can't fight the magnetic pull between. Professional is so over-rated when your body can be worshipped like perfection and feel so much pleasure. JD brings the sexy in the bootycall for which you need to dial up a second date."You're mine now, Gemma. All f**king mine.""I shove her back onto the bed, onto her tied hands, and move down towards her panties---the only thing she's wearing now apart from her heels. I bite at her p*ssy through the soft cloth. She moans, digging her high heel into the bed. I run my nails from the exposed part of her foot all the way up to the underside of her thigh. I continue biting and pulling on her panties, like a dog in a fight, the adrenaline starting to make me lose control, the smell of her juices making me go feral, the sight of her squirming driving me crazy, the sound of her moaning enthralling me to get wilder, rougher, harder."Holy heat---a panty-melting scorching story! While Gemma believes Dylan is more than a bad boy Hollywood heartthrob, more than a famous and fabulous actor, and more than the image he paints to the world, Dylan believes Gemma is more too. More than the controlled woman who has to maneuver a situation like a race car driver to a track---exact precision flawless execution. He wants Gemma, for once, to relinquish control and fly like a bird. Fast. Fluid. Fearless. Free. Into his nest and into his arms. Forever.Gemma may believe in Dylan more than he believes in himself. While she has feelings for the irresistible Irishman, Gemma can't and won't risk her heart for a man who, like a fireman, has his own fires to extinguish---including a secret that could leave the relationship starting to build between them in rubble. Dylan may need the luck of the Irish to save him from relationship ruin. "For a few seconds, while she gazes up at me with beautiful innocence, mouth parted in anticipation so sharp it's almost painful, the battle rages inside of me. Light and dark, cruel and kind. Darkness wins. Darkness always wins."JD goes deeper into the plentiful pit of feelings with Bootycall 2. This mesmerizing and memorable masterpiece is JD Hawkins' best book yet. Addicting. Deep. Developed. Raw. Riveting. Real. I can't wait to see what JD brings us next. 5 sexy, scorching, sweet, and suspenseful stars***Received an ARC for an honest review by Bookalicious Babes Blog***

“You can drink, and fuck and fight, try to get so high, feel so good, that you bury the pain beneath all the ecstasy, but when you come down, the past will be waiting for you, like a monster at the gates.”Dylan Marlowe has a monster… and when I finished Bootycall Part 1 I was DYING to know what his story was… what haunted him… why he had such a darkness. Bootycall Part 2 didn’t skimp on the angst or the drama. We finally got the big picture when it came to Dylan, and why he seemed so stuck in his past. On top of that, I loved feeling like I was on the set of a Hollywood movie. I felt like I was right there watching Dylan make magic happen and face his troubles. Watching Dylan battle his inner demons was sometimes heart wrenching. You can tell the guy is just miserable. And then when he’s in Gemma’s presence he just comes to life.. it’s like he’s a different person. He leaves behind the agonized asshole persona and lets the funny and romantic side come out to play. He’s his best person when he’s with Gemma, for sure. She just knows how to handle him, what he needs when he’s on a downward spiral. It’s a fascinating bond these two have.Their connection is solid on so many levels. When things between them turn hot and heavy, you’re going to need a cold shower! Dylan has a rough, commanding side that is just panty melting. There’s a shower scene that is just holy shit. And I should shut up before I ruin anything but damn, that was a dirty hot move on Dylan's part. Each sexual encounter between them left me yearning for more. Gemma and Dylan both work really hard to battle Dylan’s issues. Gemma’s patience and dedication to Dylan is unshakeable. Dylan’s willingness to trust in Gemma, to let his inner fears and demons not ruin his relationship shows how much he’s grown since we first met him. He was ready to heal, he just needed Gemma’s love and support to guide him. Once again, JD has knocked my socks off with a well-rounded, super hot, refreshing storyline! I can't wait to see what he will come up with next!

It is so easy in serials for the last one to fall flat especially when the first one was so good. I'm happy to say that the 2nd was as good and as developed in storyline as the first.I loved Gemma, that girl was a saint. But isn't that what people really need in their lives? That one person who will go above and beyond for you. We get to see Gemma and Dylan's relationship really blossom. I was pretty excited to see that JD didn't use the same old same old sources of angst that gets used in most books. The relationship really grew very organically like one would expect. Of course there are plenty steamy scenes between them. Again there is just enough without it being overkill.Of course a book can not be truly good if it was all sunshine and roses and so we do get to the heart of Dylan's bad boy ways. We all knew that Dylan was acting out for more reasons that just being a the bad boy of Hollywood. We knew there was something deeper in there that was the cause but in book one we just didn't know what it was. We find out in book 2 and it really is something that could really happen in Hollywood. But actually it is something that could happen anywhere. Where you take on guilt for another's actions. "If I had only done this then that wouldn't have happened" kind of thing. Of course, the truth really is that we really don't have that power. That we might be able to help but most likely people will do what they are going to do and there is or was nothing you could have done about it. It's an interesting life lesson.I really think JD nailed it with this series. I'm looking forward to seeing what else he comes up with.

Bootycall is a beautifully written story with emotions so real, you can't help but to feel them along with the characters. I was definitely invested in this series from the beginning.JD Hawkins takes you on a journey. A journey of fame, loss, guilt and love.Sometimes guilt can rule our life and it isn't until you find your light, your hope that you can release the demons within.Gemma was the one person that could ground Dylan. She was his light in the darkness, but he could never quite reach it.Will Gemma be able to save Dylan from drowning in his sea of self-loathing or will he be lost forever?Awesome job JD!! Looking forward to your next book.

Another hilarious instalment from JD Hawkins but also with the serious interlaced. I love a male POV and loved getting into Dylan's head once again. Even better is seeing him get knocked on his ass when love hits him full force. We all knew he was a dark and brooding but now we know why. I wanted to hug him so bad. Fab quick read. Miluju motorky.A nápad s bootycall taky pobavil, stejně jako příběh, když to mám shrnout. :)(A díky Z. Bez tebe bych se možná nechala nalomit a k druhé části se neprokousala. Což by byla škoda. .)

Wow. This was so amazing. When I first decided to read these books I thought I was in for a wild hot ride full of sex and swoon. I got that in spades. But there so much more to this story than just a romance between two people with incredible chemistry. It's a story of redemption and rising from the ashes. It's a story about loss, responsibility, and finding hope. This was a really outstanding story and I'm so freaking happy I finally read it. You should read it too. This writer's style is really to die for.

*I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.*Please note that this is book 2 in the series and book 1 must be read in order to follow the story correctly. I'll be completely honest, when I started this book I was not pleased. After Dylan's behavior in the vicious cliffhanger of book 1, I really had low expectations for him. I did feel like the way this book started was a little bit of a cop out. Dylan's behavior was so erratic and inexplicable in book 1, that when he suddenly seemed to show up doing the right thing in book 2, I found myself wondering if Mr. Hawkins was just being lazy. That being said, as the story developed things began to add up. Mr Hawkins was being far from lazy, he just made you work for it. I quickly found myself unable to walk away from the story as Dylan's past began to unravel, one thread at a time. Dylan was a far cry from the complete jerk he was previously depicted as. There were many more hints to his tragic past and the burden he was carrying on his shoulders. It was both beautiful and tragic to watch him fall in love with Gemma, to see him trying so valiantly, only to be jerked backwards by the weight of regret and guilt. Dylan's past holds a tragedy that is so painful and real I will admit to crying when I read about it. I won't say more to avoid spoilers but once the full story emerges your heart will break for Dylan and you will begin to understand the method to his madness. With Gemma I think Mr. Hawkins managed to do the impossible. Gemma was loyal, driven and focused on helping Dylan no matter what the cost. However she never once came across as desperate, needy or clingy. She had her shit together and she was gonna be damned if Dylan didn't get his together too. This included Dylan's past. After finding out the full story Gemma gives Dylan the permission he couldn't give himself. Its a beautiful moment and almost makes it worth all of Dylan's crap. Almost. Dylan will forever be a character I love to hate but he's grown on me. Hawkins delivered on the passionate sex as usual. Dylan was a beast and Gemma set him free. Hawkins also came through with some long requested anal play. I'll leave it at that.Over all this is an excellent, at times painfully realistic, story of love and heartbreak in Hollywood. Behind the glamour lies a dark world of pain and tragedy. The emotions in this story are powerful and inescapable. Dylan's past happens every day unfortunately. Gemma was his only solution to a vicious circle of pain and regret.

Not only that he and Gemma are trying to figure out what their relationship is or where it’s going. 4 StarsI find this installment is better than the previous one. In this book Dylan is no longer an asshole like in the previous book. But honestly I find this lil bit boring, although it only has 12 chapters. But glad that the story is getting better in the last chapter, and I like the epilogue as well We finally know the reason why Dylan was such an asshole in the previous book. This book reveals his ‘dark’ secret and I like how it ends. The problems all resolved. And even though I found too many dramas in the middle of the story, but it turns out to be a pretty good ending And oh! Did I mention the sex scenes were hot?I don’t know if there will be another installment after this. I really hope so, though. Because I’m starting to like the characters and I want to know more about their story.Overall, I enjoyed this book

JD artfully weaves a tale of loss, rebellion, lust and love into the magnificent masterpiece that is Bootycall Part 2. I was completely blown away. The depth and emotion of this story pulled at my heart strings and made me feel like I was more than just the reader. I could not put it down.Dylan faces many challenges in the second part of this series; battling his inner demons and fighting to be a man worthy of Gemma. To the outside world, Dylan Marlowe is just an Oscar winning actor who has found himself on a destructive path. No one in Hollywood has taken the time to find out what is plaguing the young actor.Gemma has found herself working a seemingly impossible job – keeping tabs on Dylan; A man who is dead set on running off and taking part in destructive behavior. Her spunk is admirable and something I love about this character. She is humble and good and a breath of fresh air.Their chemistry is undeniably hot. It jumps off the screen and engulfs you, leaving you breathless.JD’s signature humor can be found throughout the book evoking outbursts of laughter. His comedic placement is brilliant.I am beyond impressed with this new author and his second series. I just finished this book and I am already craving more.

Growl, Swoon, Hug and Sigh your way thru the story. Wow, Part 1 was fun and wild ride into getting to know Dylan and Gemma. But Part Two, JD Hawkins turned up the character arc. I really enjoyed his debut book Insatiable so I knew that the second part of Bootycall would dive deeper into the characters. This author did not disappoint me!“You can’t run away from the past.”Truer words never written. I think what really drew me to the story was the parallel of Gemma and Dylan’s lives. Although not completely identical, close enough to see one character handle it and the other, not so much. I am enamored with the fact that Mr. Hawkins wrote such a strong female lead. What a kick ass friend to have. Oh, and hottie Dylan. There were times I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pull him in for a choke hold or hug him real hard. Kudos to the author for writing such characters you can invest your emotions in.Recommendation? Most definitely. You need to pick up Part One to complete the arc of the story. Although in two parts, the author did make us wait and #NoIDidntDie, it was well worth the few days to finish. I love this author’s storytelling and can’t wait to see what he brings next. Oh, by the way, BEST.DEDICATION.EVER.

So part 2 leaves off right where part one ended. I am confused as to why the author did not just make this one book. I, for one am not a big fan of serials or novellas. So Dylan seems to be getting his life together and him and Gemma has a routine. Things are going well, and the couple seems to be falling in love like a couple would. Dylan is going some of his best work of his career. Then something from Dylan's past is blasted on the front page of the tabloids. This sends Dylan back into his downward spiral. Drinking, and depression. He is nowhere to be found and missing filming his movie. Everything is on the line for both Gemma and Dylan. When Gemma learns his past, she realizes the pain Dylan has been living with and the the shame he thinks he has be carrying for no reason at all.Is it too late to get Dylan back where he needs to be and realizes past mistakes are not his fault?Part 2 was not as hot and steamy as part one. The story was good, but kind of predicable.

I find it very exciting to wait for a book to complete a story and Bootycall, Part 2 was so worth the wait. Part two picks up right where part one left off and again the writing and the intelligence of this book had me hooked. Dylan, battling with his inner turmoil that keeps him from making the right choices and Gemma with her patience and strong will, keep the chapters flowing and making reading this story exciting without bullshit and filler that often times authors write to add more to the story. As you read the scenes, thoughts and their conversations, you feel like you are right there with them. They are descriptive and real and there is a scene that reminded me of the movie "Pretty Woman" which every girl dreams of doing just once in their lifetime. God, the sex scenes were incredible....Dylan knows exactly how to make Gemma squirm and the shower scene.... whew, I needed one after that!Thank you JD for your talent and two more books that fulfilled this girls passion for reading. I cannot wait to read what you come up with next!!

Well this second part was short and sweet. Dylan he is so swoon worthy like that man can smooth talk me out of my panties. That only a fraction of what Gemma felt I know. A girl can wish though right? Well this tied up all the lose ends and it picks up right where it left off. I thought I wasn't goi kg like it because of him being an actor and him falling for is assistant. I thought it was such a cliché but reading the second part it totally changed my mind. What can I say that I haven’t already said? I know what you want me to say. that i had to take a cold shower because it was too hot? that I had to plug in buzz because batteries are expensive? but you know me better than that.JD writes stories that are like movies to me. Where the ending is a perfect conclusion to the plot and twist of the story. Where the tension you held at the end of Part 1 is worth the wait and turmoil. JD is now my go to when I want it fast and hard—romance that is, a fast and hard romance. You will not be disappointed. His writing is sharp, quick, and painless. JD has, IMO, found my perfect combination of drama, wit, and lust. I hope to see more of his work.

Just realised that I'd left Gemma all alone in Vegas after Dylan did a runner. Time to finish this baby. The secret is revealed. I knew there was something brooding about Dylan.Gemma is a good egg. I liked her a lot. Dylan behaves a bit, then misbehaves a bit. JD does tender "You're beautiful without knowing it. Smart without being mean about it. Strong without punishing others with it. And caring without expecting anything in return for it." JD also writes really hot sex. Young Colin Farrell will forever by my bad boy Dylan (I love his home made porno).

3 'I have a problem with serials' StarsOkay, the thing is I loved this story soooo much but I hated its shortness. WHY? In this one we learned Dylan's reason to be a royal as*hole to the world and we see Gemma strugling to help him... I have to say she's persistent, I would've murdered him after his first stunt! But I guess that's why the story felt believable in a way.Again, so bad this wasn't a longer story, it was rushed at the end but I'll keep an eye on this author for sure!

This time around I liked Dylan a lot more it's like he's had a big come to about his life and is more likable and sweet, “whoa!” I say, putting my hands on her shoulders. “Stop it, before I get any more offended. Did you really think you’d be paying? It’s on me.” There are times Gemma has to keep her man in line, “sure. Just take your hand off my **s. This is the last situation I want to get horny in.” This installment I fell in love with Dylan.

This is the second installment of this duo. Follow Dylan and Gemma as we meet back up with them in Vegas. Will Dylan adhere to what the studio and Gemma has asked of him, or will he go back to his bad boy ways? What happens when the shit hits the fan? How will this duo handle it? Find out how the movie shoot goes in the final installment of this awesome series!

Short sweet and simple round two.Good read. Good writing. It's short, and gets to the point. I actually like these characters and the little angst they have in their lives. Their romance is sweet and hot.Great read if you're looking for something quick!
