Not bad....very formula but nice characters...sweet and heroic. Reading these is a guilty pleasure.

Her last boyfriend left her battered and scarred, Marlena told herself she would never trust again. Moving to Chance she finds herself finding a home and friends she has come to trust. Marlena works hard as a waitress and has certainly noticed Mike, Jack, and Danny but she knows they are players and certainly would never bee interested in her.Marlena is wrong, Mike, Jack, and Danny have been waiting for Marlena to trust them. Every time they feel they got a foot in the door it is two steps back. They know that she will be their one and only, when her old threat comes for her they step up in a big way and show Marlena what love really is.Marlena was a bit of a conflict at times she seemed confident but then she was like a shriveling mess. This was a bit more angsty but I did find myself interested in her friends and eager to read the next book in the series.

And excuse to write bad sex scenesThe plot intrigued me and I love menage story's so I was looking forward to reading this book. The alpha males were too forceful and demanding to an abused, scared woman. The ending was anticlimactic. This book was just an excuse to write bad menage sex scenes. Not worth reading.

OK start to a new series. These books are basically all the same. Girl is running from crazy ex. Boys see girl and immediately fall in love. Girl gives in and has wild menage with boys. Boys save girl from crazy ex. Girl and boys live hea. The End.

3.75 Stars Dare to trust is book one in the dare series. I liked this book but I will admit I shouted at Marlena. I understood her reasons but I wanted her to give the spencer men a chance. I wanted her to give love a second chance. I liked all three of the spencer brothers. I liked that they didn’t give up on Marlena. When they learnt of her past they were determined to keep her safe. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. After escaping an abusive relationship Marlena doesn’t trust anybody. After her last boyfriend tried to kill her she is determined to stay away from love. Danny, Mike and Jack Spencer know Marlena is the woman for them. With Marlena being shy and guarded, they need to earn her trust. Marlena is attracted to the spencer men. Instead of giving love a second chance, she shy’s away from it. Knowing her ex could be coming for her, she is determined to keep her new friends safe. With Jack, Mike and Danny determined to make Marlena theirs, will she give in? Will Marlena finally get her happily ever after?

this is the start of a new series and it reads almost identical to the Town of Pearl series that I am actually not that impressed. Sexy times are still hot and the use of the "C" word is grossly overused, in my opinion. I had hoped for a new formula but am not anticipating anything fascinating or drawing in the rest of this series.

Dare to TrustThis was an okay read but very similar in form and tone to many of Dwyer's other books. I was hoping for something mildly different from her other work when I started the series but the -- woman in trouble with dominant men "claiming" her -- trope is apparent in this one as well. I may continue the series as some point to read about the heroine's friends with the understanding that the stories quite possibly will be very similar.

I absolutely love the conflict and action in this book. They make for a compelling read. The ending is great-- it wraps everything up perfectly.

It was ok. I found it kind of cheesy compared to other stories I have read of this authors.

Nice enough story, a little repetitive and immature with the writing but otherwise an okay read.
