Let’s go back to Ecuador….why?? To rescue the bridegroom after a Earthquake. Who will go? Scarlett Bonander ( Bridemaid & mountain girl turned debutante ), her toothless Uncle Cletus And Mike Romero (the groom’s best friend ). Scarlet dubbedhim as Pirate Mike due to his eye patch.Mike wants to go to Ecuador without anyone to hinder him especially a bridesmaid and her crazy uncle. But he does notknow the mountain girl side of Scarlet and her family yet. Nor does any one of them realize that Mike looks like the most feared criminal in Ecuador, the notorious El Jaguar. Will this help or hinder them? Will Scarlet be able to prove her worth? Will they be able to rescue Jackson and bring him home? The story is filled with suspense, action, a heaping dose of danger, humor and romance. The chemistry between the maincharacters was undeniable. The supporting characters addedjustthe right amount of flavor.Although this is the third book in the Bridesmaids series it can be read as a stand alone.Thank you to the author for this eBook. My opinion is my own.

I cannot tell you how lucky I was to get a pre release copy of this book for an honest review. I am setting here with head in hand laughing myself silly wondering where to begin. Really the books description said it all. I do not think there was a page that I turn where I wasn’t laughing. The author gives a wonderful tale of action adventure as she spins her characters through drug lords, police chases and off road wild rides.I love Scarlet she has whit, sass, sacrum, and hidden talents. She might look like she just stepped out of Vogue but she is a mountain girl through and through. She is on the hunt for her best friends missing groom. All she has with her is her skills, her toothless uncle, Mike who looks more like a pirate who thinks she needs to be protected. She is about to show Mike what she is made of as she turns the tables and gives him a run for his money.Mike oh lord he has the cards stacked against him from the minute he gets on the plane to the minute they come home. Life is just not going his way for this hot alpha ex military who does his best to make the best with the cards he is dealt. One batty uncle who act like it is drunk is going to fly their plane. He is thinking you have got to be kidding me, then little princes turns out to be barney bad a** is sure to give him a heart attack with her let just plow ahead and deal with the issues as they come.Poor Uncle Cletus has seen better days and maybe better years but he isn’t going to be left behind. He better hold on for dear life as they take him over the roughest terrain in Ecuador where there are hand size spiders ready to take a bite out of him at each turn. Uncle Cletus is a trip from his wig to his toothless grin. He has a wonderful sense of humor that will keep you laughing throughout this read.If you read this book and you aren’t laughing there is something wrong with you. I totally loved it. I just wish I could give it more stars.. I loved this book so much I made it my favorite read of the week on my personal blog.Ms. Curtis writes in a style that is smooth and hooks you from the first page to the end. There was nothing I didn’t love about this story. There is no doubt I am going to have to go back and read the rest of this series

Note: I received an advanced copy for an honest review. The author has outdone herself with this new addition to the Bridesmaid series. The wedding is less than two weeks away, yet the groom is missing! The bride's cousin, Scarlet, the best man, Mike, and other members of the wedding party are with Tiff at the Las Vegas airport waiting to find out if Jax made it on the plane. When they learn the hard truth that he is still in Ecuador . . . .well, you can see where this is going - especially based on the book's title. Scarlett has a history. She's not really a Bonander. She doesn't really know who she is. Over the next couple of days, she will test her strengths and sense of identity. Mike has a history. He's Jax's best friend from Afghanistan days where he lost sight in one eye. He, too, is struggling to find his identity and purpose. Together? Well, you're just going to have to read the story to find out! This story packs a whole lot in a novella length story - it has sweet romance, it has suspense, it has emotional healing from past hurts, and it has humor. What more can you ask for? In case you have not read the previous books, you can still enjoy this as is, but you'll miss out on much of the back story. The series begins by introducing the two characters that would become the bride and groom. It's their story of how they met and became engaged. The second book is the story of one of the bridesmaids and how she finds love, while also continuing the saga of the future bride and groom in the background. This third book is similar to book 2 in that it's the story of another bridesmaid and her discovery of love - while continuing the saga of the upcoming wedding. So, I encourage you to get the other books too.Romance - PG - some kissingLanguage - PG / cleanEditing - "A"My rating - 5 stars

Rescued By A Bridesmaid is the 3rd Installment in the Bridesmaid Series by Melinda Curtis. This novella centers around Scarlet Kuhn Bonander (cousin of the bride) and Mike Romero (friend of the groom). Scarlet and Mike get thrown together on a rescue mission when the groom misses his flight and nobody knows where he is or how to contact him. Scarlet and Mike head to Ecuador to figure out just exactly what has happened. Mike is less than thrilled to be stuck with such a high-maintenance chic. However, he doesn’t realize that Scarlet has a few secrets and tricks up her sleeve and she just so happens to be more than capable of leading a rescue mission in a foreign country. This story is full of excitement and is just plain fun. It may just be my favorite novella of the series so far. I devoured it in just a few hours. As always, the author gives us 2 characters that have undeniable chemistry between them which makes for such a great read. But there’s a lot more to this story than just chemistry. Scarlet is a complex woman who has a history that she is trying to put behind her. However, she learns that the past is always a part of you, no matter how hard you try to run from it. I really love how each of the different stories in this series tie together, yet, they are still undeniably separate stories. I can’t wait for the next installment! (I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Action Packed!I love Melinda Curtis’ writing. I am never disappointed when I read her work, and Rescued By a Bridesmaid is no exception.Scarlet Kuhn Bonander has worked very hard at becoming a refined young lady, in every sense of the word. But Scarlet has a secret side to her that she works very hard at keeping under wraps. Most times she’s successful at it. However, most times she’s not around Mike Romero. Something about him makes it very hard to keep her “other persona” from resurfacing. Her plan of remaining the refined young woman works well enough until faced with a unique situation. The situation being that Scarlet’s cousin, Tiffany, is getting married. However, the wedding date is just around the corner, and the groom is still MIA. What to do? Thus begins Scarlet’s plan to go rescue the groom. She knows there are risks, but she’s up for the job. Mike is also up for the job and insists that Scarlet’s not going anywhere without him. What results is an entertaining story with twists, turns, surprises, romance, adventure, danger and characters that make it just a pure joy to read. And don’t be fooled by the length of the story. The author has masterfully written it in such a way where the pacing is just right and nothing feels rushed. It’s an action packed story that you are sure to enjoy.*****I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and viewpoints are my own.

An awesome read, I truly couldn't put it down. A fast paced, action packed, romantic thriller by Melinda Curtis, "Rescued by a Bridesmaid", is not your usual cutsey Brides Maid Romance.I received this e-book from the author for an honest review and I can say honestly that you should get this one for sure. Scarlett, the heroine, has several last names which are confusing at first but all makes sense as you get on her mission. We meet both she and Mike in the beginning as they face off and feel out each other at a poker game passing the time until the groom returns from Ecuador. Mike Romero, an Iraq War veteran, wearing an eye patch because of the loss of an eye, sizes Scarlett up and determines she's beautiful but helpless. Being the protector type he wants to keep her out of the action. Scarlett, unbeknownst to Mike, has many hidden qualities and skills and she's determined to run the action. Tiffany, the bride sends them to rescue her groom trapped in the aftermath of an earthquake in Drug Lord Territory in Ecuador. Between Mike's and Uncle Cletus's idiosyncrasies and phobias, there is never a dull moment. This is a funny yet poignant read. It's hard to balance those two themes in a book but Ms. Curtis does a great job. The finale is a humdinger and you want to go on more adventures with these two and Scarlett's crusty old uncle-- a five star read.

I sooooooo loved this novella. It had it all the twists, turns, fun, chemistry (and let's be honest - it's the only time I like the subject of chemistry) compassion and escapism a good romance should.First of all Scarlet, the name Scarlet must be used carefully in the literary world. This girl, she lives up to the name. She is a multifaceted ball of excitement. She demure, she's a motorcycle momma, she's able to take on the world, she's haunted, etc., etc. She is quite a unique heroine and I loved every minute of her. Then there is Mike, "Pirate Mike". He has a eye-patch (yeah, he's cool like that). He is fiercely loyal, takes care of business, compassionate and the best nun ever. (um, read the story)There were some great one-liners in this story. I loved that the author returned to Ecuador (this is a stand alone, but also the third book in the series). The element of suspense was a lovely addition. This made me bubbly happy - happy enough that even laundry couldn't wipe the smile off my face.Rating: 5 StarsContent: Kissing, mild innuendo, mild violence, drug cartelSource: ARC from author

Scarlet Bonander has a secret. She may be a classy looking New Yorker (thanks to her mother's remarriage) but she's really a West Virginia girl. Her father was a moonshiner. She can fight her own battles and win. Mike only sees her outward appearance. He doesn't like her. Suddenly they are unlikely partners. They are headed to Ecuador to rescue Tiffany's groom who is missing after an earthquake. Will they be successful? I love a strong heroine. She's not going to fail in her mission. Mike may try to protect her but he won't succeed. Mike wants to save Jackson. They served together in Afghanistan. He doesn't want to risk her life. Scarlet and Mike are dynamite together. They may bicker but they are a perfect for each other, but neither will admit it. I enjoyed this fast paced romance. The dangers of the jungle provided a dangerous background for this wild mission. I liked Uncle Cletus. He proved that your never to old for adventure. Rescued By A Bridesmaid had a captivating plot and a colorful cast. It was action packed from start to finish. I can't wait for the next book in the Bridesmaid series.

This series is so much fun to read! I was so excited to discover that the author was taking us back to Ecuador where the first book in the series was set! It is discovered that the groom of the upcoming wedding is stuck in Ecuador - perhaps by an earthquake - so the best man (Mike) and the maid of honor (Scarlet) go to Ecuador to retrieve him. Neither one wants the other to begins the adventure! Mike - Pirate Mike, complete with an eye patch! - feels Scarlet is just a New York society gal with high heels and wont last a minute in the jungle....he is SO wrong! Lying beneath Scarlet's society fashion look, is a rough, tough, hillbilly girl who grew up in her early years faster than she needed to! Pirate Mike is amazed to see what she does in many situations! Their adventures are non-stop action! Scarlet's Uncle, Cletus, is a hoot! He definitely brought a lot of humor to the story The characters were appealing, well-written and super fun! I loved their experiences with the nuns at the orphanage and when they run into the drug runners! If you are looking for a fun book for the summer, this is it!* I got this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in this fun series by Melinda Curtis that revolves around weddings and bridesmaids. Scarlet didn't think about it she just did it. She volunteered to go to Pachachi to find and bring back Jax for his own wedding so Tiff wasn't left standing all alone at the altar. Little did she realize that Mike would tag along.Mike was trying his hardest to get Scarlet to head back where she would be safe, but being her stubborn self she declined his offer at every turn. He got the idea that this girl thought she had something to prove and in doing so she might get herself or someone else hurt or killed. All he wanted to do was get in out and get his best friend to his wedding. Turns out nothing is that simple. It would seem in dangerous situations they learned a lot about one another and that they made a great team.I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

*I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review*“Pirate Mike” and Scarlet are quite the pair! Neither start the book really caring for one another and of course that is the makings of another wonderful book by Melinda Curtis! The book begins in an airport with Scarlet's future brother-in-law, Jackson, not arriving as scheduled on his flight from Ecuador. Scarlet's sister asks her to please go to Ecuador and investigate and bring Jackson home. Of course Pirate Mike (as Scarlet refers to him) insists on accompanying her. While they are there all sorts of things happen. Will the pair manage to find Jackson and bring him home in time for his own wedding? Will the pair learn to trust each other along the way? What happens when left to their own devices? Rescued By a Bridesmaid is a wonderful book and anyone who enjoys a romance story should take the time to read this!

The Bridesmaid Series is full of fun, laughter, and danger, especially this third novella. Visualize an action-packed movie filled with the excitement of going down a mountainside in Ecuador on a motorcycle (with a side car) over land that has just been through an earthquake. Take a journey through police-guarded blockades and drug cartels to search for the groom to be, Jackson (Jax). The personalities of the three trying to find him for his bride to be, Tiffany, are dynamite. Scarlet, Mike, and Uncle Cletus are some trio! I don't want to spoil it by revealing more. Just read it and have fun doing so. I sure did! And if you have read the other two novellas, some very delightful characters are back. [I received this ARC from the author.]

Rescued by a Bridesmaid by Melinda CurtisThis story draws the reader in slowly by challenging them to discover how the relationship between the two characters can develop from a beginning without respect and understanding. The writer continues the theme of brides and bridesmaids as heroines in this series. She uses an adventure with plenty of twists and turns, as well as tangled relationships, for the characters to wade through to a well written conclusion. The plot highlights the uniqueness of the individuals as advantages. I really enjoyed the development of the relationships in the story. I loved how the plot thickened in the adventure. I received an ARC. I would highly recommend this book!!

Rescued by a Bridesmaid is a really funny and quirky story. I was laughing non-stop throughout the story. A heroine who goes to Ecuador to rescue her cousin's fiancé - who would expect that from a girl who dresses like a debutante? Definitely not Mike, a sexy ex-military who dislikes Scarlet from the start when he heard that she was against her cousin and his best friend's marriage. But the chemistry between them was unstoppable. Adding on Uncle Cletus who is a hoot and the nuns who first appeared in Book 1 of this series, this book is just amazing. Great continuation to the series.** I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

If you haven't picked up on the series yet, GET TO IT!!! Each of these novellas is a treasure all on its own, but starting from the beginning and reading the books in order gives you a very touchy, loving, unique romance between the different characters that you just want to fall in love with them all. While I did receive an ARC for an honest review, I can tell you in all honesty that this is one of the best series' that I've read by far. There is no explicit content, and is a very sweet romance story about a group of friends/family that leads to a grand adventure. This book by far is my favorite in the series, and I can only imagine what Melinda has up her sleeve for the rest of the series.

This novella has plenty of action. Scarlet is tasked with getting her cousin's groom to be out of Ecuador. There has been an earthquake and the groom to be is stuck. Scarlet thought she had left her old self behind when she was adopted into the Bonner family. Mike, also known as Pirate Mike, knows that he has to get his friend out of Ecuador and he isn't going to put up with a snooty little rich girl in the way. Scarlet and Mike need to learn to work together to get them all out of danger. They get a little help from Uncle Cletus and some nuns.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Bridesmaid series. Jax and Tiffany's wedding is coming up, but now he is trapped in Ecuador after an earthquake. Scarlet, Tiffany's cousin, and Mike, Jax's best man, go to rescue him with the help of Scarlet's uncle Cletus.Scarlet was a great character, really tough because of her background, but still struggling a bit with her self identity. Mike was the typical military tough guy. Who had to learn that first impressions may not always be accurate. This was a fun, quick adventure and I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Note: I received an advanced copy for an honest reviewThis is the story about Mike and Scarlet, Mike is Jax's best man and Scarlet is Tiffany's cousin and guess what the groom is missing! The book has a great story line, awesome character development, and lots of humor. It was refreshing to see two people who "appeared" to be so different realize that looks can be deceiving. I personally enjoyed the humor references, I laughed so hard I cried! At what you may ask? You'll have to read the book! Now this can be read as a stand alone story, but why do that when you can enjoy them all!

A great continuation of the series! Scarlet and Mike are waiting at the airport with the rest of the wedding party when they learn the groom was not on the plane coming back from a country where there has been a devastating earthquake. Mike knows he has to go find his friend but Scarlet plans on coming along. Both Mike and Scarlet have their own scars some visible and many invisible. Can they get past their scars to see a future that neither expected? Great read with enough action to keep you turning the page.

Another great story by Melinda Curtis!Bridegroom Jax is missing in Ecuador after an earthquake cuts off his access out. He is stranded in an orphanage in a town that has been overtaken by drug lords. Tiff, the runaway bride, will stop at nothing to rescue her fiancé in time for their wedding. So she sends her cousin Scarlett, Scarlett’s uncle and Jax’s best friend Mike to bring him home. Mike is very skeptical about the others, especially debutant Scarlett, but he is shocked and awed by what he discovers. A must read!

I loved this book! A romantic suspense novella that is a quick and fun read. An unlikely bridesmaid tasks herself to rescue the missing groom. The ex military best man can't understand how a high maintenance woman could think she is more qualified than him to rescue the groom from a landslide in Ecuador. Obviously, he is more qualified. Sparks fly as they both try to rescue the missing groom and prove just who is most qualified to rescue the groom. This is a wonderful, feel good story that you will enjoy reading and be sorry when it ends.
