★☆I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!☆★3.25 stars!!#Yay!! Lottie and Blake’s story!!Lottie was still the ever snarky and no holds barred Brit that I remember. And Blake still had that charm and X-factor that would have all of the ladies crawling to be in his bed.One qualm though, throughout all of this, was that at times Lottie was a bit over the top. Sometimes, I wished she would just take a chill pill on certain things (even though I did get her stand of view) since if I were Blake I would feel that she was a drama queen. Some of the things she did or that spewed out of her mouth, no matter how justified they were, I felt were kind of a turn off and obnoxious if I were dating her.HOWEVER. On the bright side of things, what made her lovable was her loyalty, tenacity, protectiveness, and the ever none failing love she possessed for all of those she came to care for.My second and last qualm or comment I would have to bring into the picture, was the verb tense usage within the entire text. In the same paragraph, there would be constant interchanging of past and present verb usage. It kind of grated on my nerves a bit. While I do understand that it is necessary in certain situations, the repetitiveness of it could endanger a reader’s reading experience. Just sayin.’Nonetheless, I enjoyed this story. Blake had some issues, ones that ended up waltzing back into his present that he had to deal with, and Lottie was a firecracker ready to pounce if you messed with her or her loved ones. All in all, a cute read. Kinda hoping that Hayley, Lottie’s secretary, will get a story with Callum!! I think they would be so cute together!!

This might be a standalone and while it can definitely be read as a standalone but I would say that it really wouldn’t be any hardship to read book one. Some of the back ground is worth knowing. This is Lottie and Blake’s story and Lottie is a scream!I liked the fact that Lottie was a Brit and I thought that the author got the British humour and attitude nailed to perfection. She is not shy at saying exactly what is on her mind and she has a very open mind, let’s just say that right off the bat!Blake isn’t one for settling down (once bitten twice shy and all that malarkey) so now he likes his women to keep him entertained and nothing more, a playboy so to speak but when he sees Lottie it is a sort of meeting of minds because neither of them are in it for the long haul, they are both just after a quick fling with some hot a steamy action.Little did they know that what they want and what they get is two entirely different things.I enjoyed the way their relationship developed, I was amazed by the sass and attitude that Lottie had and the fact that Blake was so enamoured by her filthy mouth. Really apart from the physical aspects I wasn’t exactly sure where they were going to find common ground but they did and they had it is spades.Neither of them had a clue where what they had was going and Lottie really had never met anyone that made her feel the way Blake did before but what use is that when the man you re longing for is tethered to the past by an fear that refuses to let him go.Can they find a way to forge a happy ever after? Can Blake let go of his shackles and free himself from his past once and for all?Is what they feel for each other enough to keep them together, not just now but forever? There were so many permutations and questions that were flying round in my head that I was questioning every move. But it was so engaging. Lottie made me laugh out loud and I loved the fact that she was such a strong woman, she stole the show for me.Highly recommended.

So this is a standalone, BUT, I would recommend reading the first book in this standalone series, Enticed By You. The characters do cross over, so you will want some of the back story. It is totally worth it in my opinion to read both of these books. I loved all of the characters from both books. This book is about Lottie and Blake. Lottie is a British woman with more than enough sass and attitude. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and doesn't hold any punches! However when it comes to Blake she sort of melts. He is a playboy and with that bit of info she see him for what he is and that is some hot sex! She isn't blind she goes into this with her eyes wide open.Blake sees Lottie as this sexy, stubborn and witty woman. He is not into relationships, as his past is to thank for that! He does enjoy Lottie's company and charm, even when she is mouthy and cusses to the point it will put a sailor to shame! He figures they can go out have some fun and some wild sex and that will be that. HAHA!!Neither Lottie or Blake are ready for what is in store for them. While these two see it as having fun, emotions and feelings come into play. Never knowing what love actually is takes one by surprise while the others past haunts them and comes into play with hopes of ruining any chance of a future. Can these two ever get past the past? Is trust really enough? Is love enough to keep two people together? Read and find out, you won't be sorry!!I would recommend this book to others. I found the authors writing in this book to be quite entertaining. Lottie is HILARIOUS!! That woman is as sharp as a tack and mouthy!! Totally worth it to have both books!! Enjoy!!

Trusted By You is the second book in the by You series. Although it can be read as a standalone I do not recommend it. There is plenty of cross over from the characters in book 1, that I would strongly recommend that you read Enticed by You first. What can I say about Trusted By You? I freaking LOVE Lottie hard core! She is such a sassy, witty, strong minded, opinionated woman! She takes no shit from anyone and that includes Blake. But no matter how hard she tries, she cannot fight the attraction that she feels towards him. And what ensues between them is so comical at times. Blake has had his eye on Lottie for a while and when he gets the chance to take her out again, he jumps on it. He loves how sassy, yet stubborn she can be. She pushes his buttons, but not always in a good way. She keeps him guessing and he loves the thrill of the chase with her. He has truly met his match. Will Lottie be able to let Blake in? Will she finally let herself have the happiness that she deserves or will Blake break her heart once last time and leave her trying to pick up the pieces and build a life on her own? Go and grab your copy today and see just how sassy, witty and adventurous Lottie and Blakes story is. Filled with lots of laughs, sassy one liners and a very dirty mouthed Blake...this is an awesome read!

Trusted by You is book 2 in a series, I didn't know this beforehand but it didn't really matter as it didn't affect this story. The events of book 1 were however mentioned a few times in this book, so much so that I ended up buying book 1 so I can read it properly, instead of hearing it from a spectator, so to speak, because it sounds like it might be a pretty dramatic book to read. Anyway, back to this book. English girl Lottie (best friend to the girl from book 1), has a crush/hate relationship with Blake (best friend of the guy from book 1). Trusted by You is the story of them getting over their issues and getting together basically and seeing if they get their own HEA. A few things do pop up along the way, but for me, this is one of those books, that is just a nice book. It was a nice easy read, the characters were nice, even the bitch I wanted to slap was written well. It was, well, nice. As an English girl myself however, there were a few things that bugged me; inaccuracies about the way English people talk mainly, extra surprising as Amy Muscat is English, so maybe it's a regional thing but I noticed them, lol. I won't point them out, as a non English person may not even pick up on them. Overall though, a good read and like I said, it made me buy book 1, and if there is a book 3 I will probably pick that one up too.

Alright, so maybe that explains a whole lot. Turns out that Trusted by You is the second book in the series, which really explains the fact that at many times I was confused by crossovers with different characters, but I couldn’t deny that Lottie and Blake were hilarious and oh-so-damn HAWT!!! They may have been hurt in the past, but they definitely know how to scratch an itch! This is the first time that I’ve had the chance to read a novel written by Amy Muscat and hope it will not be the last, but for sure, I’ll make sure that should it be part of a series, I’ll read the previous parts first so I can keep up with the backgrounds. **Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. Loved this book and didnt realize until after reading it that it is book 2 in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Even though throughout the book I wanted to know Peyton's story and hoping that there was another book coming out. Low and behold it is already out and I will be one clicking it as I loved Trusted by you from Amy. Lottie is British and man is she feisty, sassy and says exactly what is on her mind. Blake has the ability to render her speechless. She knows hes a playboy and goes into things with her eyes wide open but is her heart open as well even though she tries to keep it to herself?Blake doesnt do relationships due to his past. He trusted the wrong person and it screwed him up. with Lottie he things shes beautiful a spitfire and just the person to have some fun with more than once and not let feelings get involved. Can he keep his heart and feelings out of this time of sexy fun with Lottie? Is trust enough for these two when the past comes back to haunt them? Can either of them get over their past or will it tear them apart? This book is a definite recommendation from me. Its sexy, got some suspense and is damn hilarious.
