Steve Moore, a black cat shifter, breaks into the North Pole Christmas party in his cat form. Easy enough. No one imagines a black cat would be out of place in a warm building in the middle of the winter. But Steve’s not there to sample the cupcakes or eggnog. No, he’s there to find the one Elf who makes his heart race -- Landon. Is Landon still interested in the shifter?Steve Moore, a black cat shifter, breaks into the North Pole Christmas party in his cat form. Easy enough. Shifter's Challenge Reviews
Men, and apparently shifters, are prepared to do some pretty risky stuff to catch the one who has left an impression. Whether or not the memory of what happened doesn’t necessarily come into play. Once emotions are involved, and feelings have been awakened, some men, Steve in this story included, will do almost anything to reconnect. Do I think crashing a Christmas party, in shifter form no less, is a little crazy? I definitely do, and that made me all the more curious to see where this story would take me.Steve is a model for pet food (which I found a particularly funny job for a cat shifter). He may have had only one night with Landon, an Elf working at the North Pole, but he cannot forget him and decides to find him no matter what. And yes, that includes crashing a party at the well-hidden North Pole location where all the working Elves live. His thoughts as he intrudes, and gets caught, are very amusing, but when he first sees Landon, surrounded by some very attractive Elves, things do not look good for Steve’s plan. Luckily, Santa has a hand in everything that happens at the North Pole.If you like stories about more than one mythical species, if you think a shifter falling for an Elf might be entertaining, and if you’re looking for a short, fun read with some humorous chasing-down followed by hot man-on-man loving, then you might like this short story.
Very cute! There's a shifter and an elf. It's gotta be cute, right?Steve had one special night with the elf, Landon. After their one night, Landon ran off. Now Steve is at the North Pole ready to claim the elf he wants as his.The chasing and the catching of Landon was fun. Not that there was much chasing, since Landon most definitely wanted to be caught. But for such a short story, it was an added bit of fun.The fun was then followed by some shifter and elf sexy time. There was definite chemistry between them, just not jumping off the page. But enough to keep me rooting for them until the end. There wasn't much to SHIFTER'S CHALLENGE; it was just enough to get you in the holiday mood. Perfect to enjoy with some hot cocoa. By the time you're finished with one, you'll be finished with the other.
2.5 stars rounded up. Steve is a cat shifter who has fallen for one of Santa's elves. After one night together, Steve can't forget Landon and he leaves everything behind to find him. He's managed to get to the North Pole on Christmas to try to find Landon - the elf of his dreams. It seems that maybe somebody else had a hand in Steve finding Landon ;) Both are a little unsure as it's quite unusual for an elf to be with a human or for a human to be at the North Pole at all! But Landon gets some good advice that will help him and Steve figure things out :)Cute story. I just wanted more interaction between Steve and Landon that wasn't sex ;)
After spending one night with Steve, Landon had to leave without saying goodbye. Steve managed to track down Landon in the North Pole where Santa gave him as a present to Landon in his cat form. After advice from Santa, Landon decides to just love Steve. Steve stays in the North Pole with Landon working for Santa.
