star dust awardCaressed by Starlight: Croe by Danica Avet wow where to start. First off loved does not even come close to how I feel about this book. Adored, loved, wanted more, and kicking myself for never reading this author before now. Ms Avet brings a connection you feel as you read the book. I felt so invested in her characters I still want more! Guess I should tell you about the characters hum? Okay here is the run down.Daria- she is a princess for real. She is the princess of Endiku next in line to rule. She is not your typical fairy tale princess. She can fight; she hates formal balls and all the fuss. She would prefer a quiet evening at home or in her father’s solarium where she can be herself. Endiku is a warrior class planet. They produce some of the best warriors in the galaxy. So yes Daria is beautiful but she is pretty badass too.She gets kidnapped at night in her sleep. The people are suppose to killer her but they end up selling her off instead, hey more money for them and a chance at life for Daria.Daria using her badass skills escapes her captors. But now she is on a strange world and needs some protection. She sees some cage fighting and knows who she wants to defend her.Croe is a fighter. He also bears the marking of Skarskordian. Dara knows those people are warriors and honorable so she wants Croe to defend her. Croe turns out to be a rouge who has his own sense of honor. I liked his I don’t care what you think I am me attitude. He is very alpha male. Not to mention smoking hot… holy singe my fingers hot.Their chemistry is off the charts. There is a certain cyborg in this book I won’t tell you about cause you need to read to really get to know him. He has got to have his own story….Yes I will be looking for him. I think Daria blew a few of his circuits and I would like for her to blow a few more of them. When you want a story that is unforgettable, told beautifully, and makes you want more. This is the one to pick up. Ms. Avet needs to write faster so I know what happens next.

I was given this book for an honest review and let me say this book was awesome. This is a sci-fi erotic book. Princess En’Daria is kidnapped and supposed to be killed instead her kidnappers sell her to a sex planet. She escapes and asks for the help to get home from the warrior Croe’ix Shael. Croe is a pit fighter, who was banished from his home because he is a half breed. Croe is one sexy alpha male who wants Daria’s body in order to protect her. Daria agrees to his terms so Croe sets upon getting them to a ship to get her home. Along the way Croe and Daria start having intense feelings for each other. There are more assassins after the princess and Croe has decided he will do whatever is needed to keep her safe and with him even if that means going to his old friend and outlaw Tyn-Hy. You need to read this book it is hot and leaves you wanting more which will come in the next book. I definitely give this book 5 stars.

I went back and read the description of this book again, just to make sure I had not misunderstood. I did, but I didn't. The description makes this story sound romantic. It's not. Not at all.Several things irritated me about Caressed by Starlight. So, I will outline them:1. This is NOT a complete novel. It's the first 10 chapters of a book. So, when/if you buy the second part, you are basically paying twice for one book.2. There is no indication that this is a sub/dom story. It is and that should have been clear in the description. Croe is the dominate and Daria his submissive. Now, if you like stories about subs and doms great. If you don't then it would have been nice to know this is what the story is about. I do not personally enjoy reading about women or men who act like sex slaves and let people treat them like doormats. So, the lack of warning in the description ticks me off.3. I also don't like stories that feature "romantic" heroes who are a. not romantic or b. heroes. Croe is a d-bag, pure and simple. First off, he takes advantage of a woman in obvious terrible trouble. Second, he has this interior monologue where he acts like he cares about Daria, but he never communicates that to her, so what the heck does she see in him? They have no meaningful communication that would support a long-term romantic relationship. Thirdly, he makes plans to bring in a third person to their "relationship" without talking about it with Daria first. Fourth, he PUNISHES her for defending herself against attackers. She has supposedly trained her entire like in martial arts and self-defense. Yet, when she uses those skills - effectively - to protect herself instead of following his orders to run, he belittles and spanks her.Sorry, this is just not for me. The writing is decent and the story is well paced. But all of the above sins cannot be forgiven.

Caressed by Starlight: Meeting Croe is a Sci-Fi Menage Romance. I'm not really a big a fan of sci-fi because I usually get confused in the world the author creates. In this one I had no problems. Danuca Avet does a great job easing you into the world she has created. At no point was I confused. I loved this story, it sucked me in right from the start. Daira is a very strong character. She is a princess when she is kidnapped and about to be sold when she escapes. Her path crosses with Croe. Croe is a sexy fighter. She asks Croe to help her get back home. Instead of payment he wants her whenever and however he wants. She agrees to his terms. There is some great attraction between the two of them. I loved Daria and Croe together. Croe needs help to get Daria home so he goes to his friend Tyn. Tyn is a cyborg hybrid. He has his own motives for helping. I can't wait to read more of Tyn in the next book.A copy was received for a review.

This is the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last. From the very first page I was hooked. In fact I was only going to read a chapter or two before going to sleep. Half the book later I forced myself to bed, but was up the next morning reading it while fixing coffee and breakfast. Outstanding world building, engaging characters, good flow, and a strong story line. I connected with EnDaria and Croe from the beginning and can't wait to find out more about Tyn. I am so glad this is the first book in the series, because I definitely want to read more about this dynamic trio.

great book! This is the first book I've read by the author Danica Avet, but it certainly won't be the last. She captivated me from the beginning with the story of Daria and how she came to be on the asteroid where she met Croe. The sexy interludes between the two main characters were well written and very hot! I liked how the third main character was introduced about 2/3 way through the book and his story gained my interest as well. Overall a superbly written story, and I eagerly look forward to the second book in this series in March 2015. Highly recommended!

*I received this book free in exchange for an honest review*This was a great story. This story really put a twist on Interstellar hotties! Croe, the dark brooding fighter, En'Daria, the Federation Princess, and some action. This story is thrilling and sexy, panty melting and a great saga. This is a tale of a the beginning of a journey. Together they have some page burning scenes, and fight off assassians and more! If you like Sci-Rom, this is a wonderful series to begin! By the end, I was happy to have the 2nd one already because I couldn't put it down.
