This is a rather uneventful story. Seth, who runs a mac & cheese truck, and Ben, a new manager at a homeless shelter, meet, like what they see, and begin dating. There's a fire at the end that moves the story from fluff to pseudo-angst. There's hardly any steam, and the guys' conversations are scripted and, dare I say, cheesy (cheesy, get it? HA!). Neither the MCs nor the secondary characters are well developed. Seth is a nice surfer dude, and Ben is a nice but uptight dude. This can definitely be read as a standalone, and it's a quick read, despite the clumsy writing. I'm bumping to 2 stars because the afterword listed some mac & cheese mix-in suggestions off Seth's menu that sounded delicious.

This felt empty. No chemistry, no excitement and a lot of cheesy lines. 2.5

1.75 StarsEh. This was a not bad yet not good kind of story; with rather bland characters. This book was part of “Give Me a Taste” series and I didn’t read any of the previous ones, which might or might not affect what I felt about this particular installment. (I got the wrong info, it's the pilot of "Savor" series apparently. Oh well. No change in rating though) But I read a couple others of Cassandra Carr’s books with more zeal than this one. The chemistry between Seth and Ben felt rather tepid to me. No idea where Ben’s insecurity coming from; there was a mention of an ex saying some lousy thing, but he seemed pretty “traumatized” by it. Story with quite a lot of food mentioning usually captivated me but surprisingly the magic didn’t work this time. The plot on the business and city mission was decent if unmemorable. The dog, Zeke, had its own appeal, but not so much as to elevate my interest to the story. Added the WTF ending… Sorry, couldn’t say nice things for this book.Note: ARC was kindly provided by Fated Desires Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 starsSeth, a chef who runs a mac & cheese food truck in Austin, Texas is immediately enamored with the straight-laced new case manager at the Mission, where he provides leftover culinary delights each day. Ben can't deny his attraction to the chef, but he's apprehensive. He's just moved to Austin and he's unsure about starting anything serious. Seth charms and woos Ben in ways he's never experienced before, and makes him realize that taking a chance on love isn't quite as scary as it seems. This book was okay to me. It wasn't particularly bad, but at the same time I wasn't wowed. Seth and Ben are both likeable, and I enjoyed their interactions with secondary characters, but there was no oomph or real excitement. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I loved reading about Seth's dishes, which included various incarnations of macaroni and cheese as well as other food creations. Seth and Ben's interactions were sweet, but it was the food truck aspect that really caught my attention. I really appreciated the index at the end of the book which described all of the Seth's mac & cheese dishes, many of which made my mouth water.Overall, Melting Into You was a pleasant read, but not something I'd read again in the future.Release date: March 31, 2015This book was provided by the publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.Seth is a chef who owns a food truck. Ben is new to town and has only limited experience when it comes to romance but is instantly attracted to Seth who delivers leftovers to the shelter where Ben works. There is a focus on food in this story, it made me what to eat.Melting into You is a sweet m/m romance with a nice leisurely pace. I really liked that it is just two guys getting to know each other and coming together. A few steamy scenes but they didn't overwhelm the story and there was no sign of angst. I really enjoyed Melting into You.

Seth Mason's life is in a good place. He's the owner of a successful macaroni and cheese food truck on the verge of expansion, he's made a nice home for himself and his dog, and he finds time to give back to the community. But he wouldn't mind rounding that out with a guy to share his life with. When Ben starts working at the local shelter where Seth brings food leftover from the end of each day, Seth can't control his attraction. Ben's not his typical type, but what is a "type" anyway? Although Ben doesn't seem eager at first, as soon as the walls come down, Seth learns the attraction is mutual. But they're both dedicated to their careers which keep them extremely busy. As a result, they don't have a lot of extra time to spend with each other. It's still possible to make a romance work under the circumstances, isn't it?A quick-building relationship that's not insta-love can be difficult to find, but I think that's totally where this one falls. It's fast-paced and a relatively quick read, but there's a good story here that takes some unexpected twists. I found myself really liking Seth and Ben--it was so easy to want to root from them very early on. My only major complaint here is that the ending seemed a bit abrupt, and I would have liked to see a bit more resolution. But it's still entertaining and endearing, and it's worth picking up for a read.

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~This was a short and sweet read. It was about Seth a mac & cheese food truck owner and Ben who works at a shelter. Seth brings leftovers to the shelter every day and meets Ben. There is an instant attraction between the two. They go on several dates, eat lots of food, play with Seth’s dog and kiss. Other than that, nothing much happens. I was hoping things would heat up and the story would get juicier but it didn’t happen. It wasn’t a bad book, just short, sweet and innocent. Characters: The characters were well written and believable. Sex: only oralReligious: noWould I recommend to others: yesMore than one book in the series: yesGenre: M/M/RomanceWould I read more by this author: yes~Wicked Reads Review Team~

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**Melting Into You is a sweet love story between Seth and Ben. It's a quick read about their falling in love. There is an instant attraction between the two. You follow their dating, a few kisses and then there is an abrupt ending. It was a ok read. I was able to read within an hour, it held my attention but didn't stick with me when I was done.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked ReadsThis is a cute cheesy title for a fun story about a man who runs a Mac'n'Cheese food truck, and a new guy working at the local homeless shelter, who has attracted his attention. It is a short, sweet read, with a lot of detail on food trucks, and the problems of dating someone who works night shifts! I was sad when I reached the end, as I wanted more - which is usually he sign of a good book in my mind. ~~Wicked Reads Review Team~~

Seth owns a mac & cheese food truck, that also delivers to the homeless shelter. There he meets Ben, who has been appointed as the new case manager. Their attraction is instant. For a short story, the characters are quite developed. I could easily relate to them. Seth is a sunny, forward guy, but with a keen business sense. Ben is a bit shyer but does hold his own. I could feel the connection between the two men. I really liked that they kept talking with each other when they had questions or doubts. There are no miscommunications or misunderstandings, just a nice steady falling-in-love. The writing style I found very pleasant and kept me turning the pages. I learned a lot about the food truck business, but the author kept it in balance with the romance part of the story.I was honored with an advanced reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this book.

This is a sweet and tasty read. The environment is easily envisioned and all of the characters are well placed and fleshed out as much as was needed to support the main story line. The story line has a nice flow and draws the reader in.Seth and Ben are lovable characters and watching them fall for each other was enjoyable and satisfying. The sexy parts are good without being overwhelming.Very nice. I am voluntarily reviewing the advance reader copy I received from the author.

I would give this 3.5 stars. It was a comfortable read with little angst. Seth runs a food truck that specializes in macaroni and cheese (with a twist). I have to admit that some of his creations sounded fabulous and I wanted recipes after reading the descriptions. He's very busy with his truck and wants to slow down so that he can do other things, including date. He takes his leftovers to a local shelter, and that's where he meets Ben. Ben is a new employee at the shelter, who has recently moved to Austin. Ben is very shy and hesitant. Seth likes what he sees and starts to pursue Ben. Ben stays hesitant for a while. He doesn't understand what Seth sees in him, and he's still a little unsettled after moving so far from everything and everyone he used to know. They start slowly and build a good relationship together, each trying to manage their work life and how it impacts their personal lives together. We never really find out what makes Ben doubt himself and his attractiveness, other than just pure inexperience, but I don't think it mattered too much. Most people when they find someone they think is highly attractive, and said person pursues them, will doubt themselves a bit. My only complaint about the book was the way things wrapped up. (view spoiler)[There was a fire and both ended up injured. I don't want to give too much of a spoiler than I already am, but it looked like there was going to be some trouble between Ben and Seth. Instead, there was some angst going on Ben's part followed by a general everything was ok, and we're moving forward. (hide spoiler)] It just seemed like a conversation or two was missing. I enjoyed the book, I just thought the ending was a bit abrupt. *I received this book in exchange for an unbiased, honest review*

3.5 Stars*This book provided by the author/publisher via N K Blogs in exchange for an honest review* Well, I have been looking forward to reading this book for a couple of months now, and I am so sorry to say, it was a disappointment :( I wanted to love this book, but I just couldn't. Seth is a laid back surfer type and a Chef, and Ben is an uptight preppy, who is one of the managers of a homeless shelter. They meet when Seth delivers his leftover food from his food truck to the shelter. The plot was good but the execution of the plot was not. There was a ton of dialogue which I usually love in books, but unfortunately it all felt unnatural and didn't flow, maybe even a bit cheesy (small pun intended). These aren't things people say to one another. Seth's character was WAY too pushy. The books needed some angst, it was just kind of BLAH..There was no heat between the characters. No real chemistry either. They did a lot of talking about sex, but if the ever actually had it, we the readers weren't privy to it. There were unresolved issues, and a bunch of things left open. It ended quite abruptly, I was shocked to turn the page and see the end. This just wasn't a well written book. It needs to be cleaned up and the dialogue needs to be more natural and flow better. The one thing this book did do is make me want Macaroni and Cheese! I am giving this 3.5 stars, I loved the cover, the MC's were likeable, the plot/storyline was good, and the food sounded awesome!!

Seth owns a food truck selling gourmet macaroni and cheese to the denizens of Austin TX. He is an out gay man, and well-respected in his community. As part of his outreach, he organizes an food donation program, and personally donate his leftovers to a homeless shelter.A new member of the homeless shelter's staff, Ben, catches Seth's eye. They begin a flirtation and then embark on a tentative romance. Ben is a shy, fussy, guy. He's out, but not really into hooking-up. But, he's not really into relationships, either, so I wondered is he was asexual--for a bit. (He's a fit, 25 y/o man who's had minimal sexual experience...)There is an attraction, however, and the men have some interludes when their schedules align, which isn't often. I liked the guys, but the story sort of bogged--what with all the food truck business/employer-employee relations aspects. I kept thinking that some of the shelter people would become important, but they didn't. Seth and Ben have some frank discussion, but mostly the romance was an appetizer, here, and I couldn't help feeling as if the book ended before I got the main course. Would have appreciated a bit more steam. It seemed that every time Seth and Ben were poised to take a step in the sexy direction, they decided it would be better for Ben to take a nap.I received a review copy of this book via NetGalley.

Seth Mason is a trained chef who owns and operates a macaroni food truck, Macarollin’ (loved the name) as he saves money to open a restaurant. He’s also a good person, giving back to the community. It is here, while donating to a homeless shelter, that he meets their new employee, Ben. Ben is so different from Seth’s usual type, but even Seth can appreciate Ben’s “suit porn”. As the two get to know each other there is an appreciation for their differences, as well as interests they share. Ben is sort of lukewarm on everything and Seth does quite a bit of chasing. Ben’s also very inexperienced and I appreciated that Seth didn’t just try to push him into anything. The foodie aspect of the story is interesting – I’d love to try some of the mac and cheese combos they came up with! The story itself is fairly slow paced with most of the emphasis on them getting to know each other and the expansion of the food truck. There were times I wanted something to happen besides talking! This is a quick story, appealing more for the food aspect than anything.

If nothing else happened in this book.... Cassandra Carr STILL made me a fan of it with the mere idea of a hot man running a gourmet macaroni and cheese food truck. Every couple of chapters I was left dying for some macaroni and cheese!!! Is this a real thing somewhere? Macaroni and Cheese food trucks???Beyond the Mac & Cheese... Seth was not only a gourmet chef... he was an amazing boss, awesome with customer services, and was majorly into community service by providing a program for all of the food trucks to donate food to shelters. Oh... and of course he's a hottie. No wonder Ben immediately fell head over heals!Ben is adorable. I little younger. A little less experiences. A little more shy. A little more "clean cut". Totally.... adorable. I don't feel like we learned TOO much about him.... but I was totally in love.Put Seth and Ben together... and they were perfect. The ending has totally made me put the next book on my list of must reads. I NEED to find out where these 2 go.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book, but since Ms. Carr is one of my favorites, I decided to give it a shot and see what the story was about. And I’m so glad that I did, because once I started, I just couldn’t put the book down.I loved the differences between Seth and Ben, because honestly those differences are what made them great as a couple. The uptightness of Ben, versus the laidbackness that Seth seemed to portray, it was a great combination. I did enjoy how this was a different type of book, and by that I mean that it was a food truck story. There was a lot of information given about the different types of Mac & Cheese that Seth sells and creates. And from a person who loves it, I was excited about that!I did enjoy this story with how great the story progressed, and how I was totally sucked into the story, and I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Carr in the future.Reviewed by Crystal Marie for Crystal’s Many Reviewers*Copy provided for review*

This super quick read was about Seth, a food truck owner, and Ben who just moved to Texas to start working at a shelter that Seth donates food to. These two guys were a very cute couple and really could have made a good story if it wasn't so short. I really felt like the book sorta cut off and just felt unfinished. It was very fluffy with little in the way of heat between the two main characters. There was stuff mentioned about Ben's past but it was never explored. I did like the dynamic between the main characters and all the secondary characters. I really just wanted to see what happens next. I am not a huge fan of cliff hangers and although I don't think there is more to this story planned it certainly felt like that at the end. I loved all of the mac n cheese though - who doesn't love some cheesy goodness? I liked what was there but I wanted more so that I could see the characters fully develop.

I received a free copy of this books in exchange for a blog tour and honest review.Seth is a Mac n Cheese guru food truckie in the Austin area. He's got a great gig going and is fairly happy with his lot in life..maybe, just maybe he'd like to find that special someone we all search for...He just happens to find him in an unlikely place. The homeless shelter. Ben is actually the new manager of the shelter where Seth donates. This was a short and sweet, yep I said it, sweet not really erotic, not overy sexy, read.I honestly like my stories a little toothier...something with some bite, angst, a little more emotion than just "sweet". This would have been really good if it coulda been a little longer with some real grit (ok and maybe some really hot n erotic sexiness) thrown in and a little more character development.3.5 Stars

Rating: 3.5This was a sweet and fluffy read. It was a romance that focussed on the romance and the development of Ben and Seth's relationship without the usual stuff that gets in the way.Ben's character is so sweet and innocent and his blushes and reaction to Seth bring a smile to your face. Seth's confidence is infectious and rubs off on Ben the more time they spend together. The idea of having food as a central part of the story is a good one but I would have liked to have seen more foodplay interwoven into the story. Although I was not aware of the number of different types of Mac and Cheese there are, it seemed to be an unusual choice. This lacked a certain amount of hotness that is present in Cassandra Carr's other works. However, a nice, fairly clean love story is needed every now and again.

This was an enjoyable read for me. It's the first in the Savor series and is the romance between Seth who owns a food truck and Ben who works at a shelter. I really loved all the different foods featured in the story - who knew there were so many ways to make macaroni and cheese sound delicious! Both Seth and Ben were interesting characters - strong, dependable, loyal and nice guys. There is a definite attraction between them at the start and this leads to some sexy scenes between them. The development of their feelings for each other over the course of the story was sweet and satisfying. It was a quick and entertaining read. 3.5 stars.Note: a copy of this story was provided by the publisher for review.

Melting Into You by Cassandra Carr was a sexy and cute romance story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I adored the two main characters, Seth and Ben, who had great chemistry together and I loved their interaction with one another; you could see they genuinely wanted their relationship to work and put a great deal of effort in spending quality time together. I really enjoyed Seth's sweet talking to Ben who got a bit flustered around Seth due to his inexperience. Seth was so tender and caring towards Ben that it was just heartwarming to see. I liked that Seth always took Ben's feelings into consideration regarding sex and these two engaged in some steamy moments that I wished kept on going. I'm really looking forward to the next story in this series after reading this book.

Thank you to Cassandra Carr for providing me with an advanced copy of this book so I may bring you this review. I have a serious craving for Mac and Cheese thanks to Cassandra Carr’s new book Melting into You. Melting into You was a sweet romantic story about a budding relationship between Seth (owner of a local Mac and Cheese food truck) and Ben (a new manager at a homeless shelter). I loved Cassandra Carr’s writing style in this book. I loved the flirting and the sexual tension that was building up between them. Genuinely, I loved reading about their budding relationship as it blossomed into something beautiful. The part about the boys being sexually clean was very tasteful and well written. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book.

This was a sweet little sexy read that will melt your heart. Dive into this romantic read and watch the story come to life between Seth and Ben. The relationship blossoms through flirting and then the sexual tension kicks things up a bit.I do like my MM reads to have a little more tension, but their caring hearts and sexiness are just right for this story. You will take the journey with them and watch as they learn to appreciate one another’s differences and similarities. It was an adorable read that ended too soon for me. I’m looking forward to more of this series. Good luck to Cassandra Carr with everything past, present, and future.P.S. You had me at Mac N Cheese. It is a story of a developing relationship between Seth who runs a food truck business and Ben who manages a shelter and the ins and outs of developing a relationship. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next chapter in their adventure.

Awsome story about a guy, Seth, who owns a food truck. He takes his left overs to the local shelters and charities that can use it. He takes notice of a new employee at the one shelter. Ben never thought he would ever think that Seth would be his type, but there is just something about him, that he just can't resist. Such a wonderful love story. Love is love and this story re-enforces it. I love how Seth went that extra mile for the mother and the two kids. If I was a betting woman, that is when Ben fell for Seth.

Oh, and the best part of the book..(not that the story wasn't good enough, but damn..) The Mac N Cheese menu and ingrediant list!! This is a wonderful story and I can't wait to see more! This was a very sweet romance featuring Seth, a food truck chef, and Ben, a case manager at an Austin mission. Seth is very attracted to the new case manager at the local mission he donates leftovers to. Ben is new to Austin and finds himself looking forward to brief glimpses of the hot food truck owner. Their romance is so sweet and well written. I enjoyed the slow building of their relationship, with the flirting and off the charts sexual chemistry. This book has everything a romance lover looks for in a great story.

Great love story. Seth's dedication not only to his employees, patrons and friends but also to the shelter was great. Added bonus of Ben who is also dedicated to his job at the shelter and all that walk through the door. No two better men could be so well suited for each other. Their love grew quickly, but that in no way made it any less than it should be. I truly enjoyed getting to know these two, watching them grow close and become an amazing couple. Highly recommend this story and the one that follows Triple The Taste.
