A fantastic read for every football fan whether you follow LFC or not. A detail account of the life and achievements of a humble man who was a visionary in the world of football.

I had read the Shanks book and then I was interested to learn more about Paisley.I was interested to know how a quite, softly spoken, humble man became one of the most successful managers of all time. The book isn't an autobiography so you don't get any insight from Bob himself except for quotes after matches.it was OK but the format of explaining individual matches is rather tedious, particularly league matches.it was interesting but could have been so much better considering the source material.

Chapter 2 in my Liverpool FC education. A guy who checked his ego at the door and pursued excellence with passion, but also with humility. Perhaps the greatest record of any manager in English football. Looking forward to Kenny Dalglish book now.
