99 CENTS SALE! Hurry, it might not last! Anya can't see men and they can't see her either. Not fun, is it? Actually it is, and some parts of this story totally cracked me up. So Anya has to go to Palance to see the queen. Her protector is Kylor, a very tall, strong and muscular woman with strange body parts that sometimes change shape :)Here's how I see Kylor (just imagine a big sword and a horse instead of a car):This is another very unique story from Ms Lange. Do yourself a favor and read this entertaining and really hot book.

Okay, I liked this one.It was different, to say the least. It kept me on my toes. Had me riveted, beyond curious & totally impatient to know what was the deal with Anya's predicament.I loved how the story & the mystery surrounding certain things unfolded. And I cannot stress this enough... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Kylor He was definitely on point in many respects. I loved his unwavering open & fearless devotion to Anya most of all though. It was refreshing, sweet, endearing & beyond sexy & hot. They had plenty of hot, blood pumping, blush inducing moments here. But I seriously could have done without the "Comical Erotic Sex Talking"Even though I don't think it was meant to come across this way, that's exactly how it came across. I laughed so hard during moments I wasn't supposed to be laughing at.But there were also truly funny moments when it came to Anya's reactions/reasoning to certain things. She's not a ditz, she just truly didn't know or understand certain things. You couldn't fault her for this, considering her situation. But some of these moments were funny nonetheless.I would recommend this read. This Author, actually. But I suggest you start with some of her other reads, before this one. She's a rare talent when it comes to the off the wall/erotic/weird. Though this wasn't her best work by any means, IMO, it was still pretty good.

3 1/2 starsThis was an interesting story because the heroine is actually "blind to men". That idea in itself was an intriguing one and it was neat to see how that blindness played out in Anya's life and impacted her perception of the world as well as her relationships with others. There were many humorous moments along the way and her dynamics with her 'female' protector, Kylor, were often sweet, funny, spicy and unique. I enjoyed the journey and how the relationship developed between these two.I had a few issues with this story (view spoiler)[ with regards to the use of formal language in some of the intimate scenes which made certain aspects awkward/funny, and also concerning the villain and wanting more interaction and dialogue from that character that didn't manifest in the way I'd hoped. (hide spoiler)]Still, it was an entertaining read on a number of levels and held my attention because I wanted answers to what in the world was going on - almost as much as Anya did!

First Impression I did not expect the twist at all and boy was this HOT! What is it about?Once upon a time, in a far away land......a sheltered maiden had been cursed, where she can not see nor hear about any man..except for one...What did I liked about it?This was my second book of Chris Lange, the first being Gabriel which I thoroughly enjoyed, and this did not disappoint at all!The author recommended this book and the blurb was what made me grabbed this book and read it right away! This was a nail biting novel, that I just couldn't put it down! I wanted to savour each and every page, yet wanted to finish it right away so I can find out what had happened! This novel made me shout over and over again from frustration/excitement, WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT??!!This novel was a combination of sweet romance and erotica. The female protagonist, Anya, was naive and comical in her tactlessness that was very endearing and funny. While the male protagonist, was just to die for!He made me want to grab him out of the novel and kiss the living daylights out of him. He was what you would expect of what a prince charming should be. Sweet, kind, lickable body, just gorgeous inside and out!The hotness level of the love scenes.....were hot hot HOT! For a "fairytale" story it had a lot of 21st century dirty talking!Last SayChris Lange has a very unique tale of telling stories that has a twist that you will never see it coming. This novel is one of them. I can't wait to read the other novels she had written and will be writing in the future. If you want a fairytale/historical story with lots of lip biting moments, this is it!

Where to begin! This is one of the best books I've ever read! I had a smile on my face almost the entire time while reading as well as many laugh out loud experiences (yes, my face did hurt). This was such an original, refreshing, humorous, exciting, sensual and magical story that I plan to reread!Anya has been sheilded her entire life. Never knowing of anything but her surroundings. Until one day a stranger arrives to the house and is engaging in deep conversation with her mother. Anya is unsure how to feel about the stranger being there or what is being said. But she finds herself nervously excited.Kylor is Anya's protector. Kylor is to take her safely to Palance and prove the curse that was set upon Anya that made her blind to men was unnecessary and there was no real truth for it to be placed in the first place.Anya makes many discoveries in Kylor's presence. She explores many sensual acts and phrases. So many enjoyments and indulgences. And a trying adventure for someone who has been so sheltered. Be ready for some real enjoyment all packed into this here little package. Much fun is to be had within these pages :)

My reaction while reading this book, but I will have to say that I loved the idea of this fantasy story; very original. Got to love Kylor. Always ready to defend and please my lady in more ways than one. The bedroom talk was more funny to me than erotic, but maybe that is what makes this quirky story fun.

You can't take yourself too seriously with this. The concept of not being able to see men, hear them or even hear a word associated with 'men' was kind of hard to wrap my head around. It felt kinda silly but once you get into the story it was a fun read.Anya was sweet and innocent. I loved her description of Kylor the unbelievably ugly female with odd parts that came to protect her on her journey.Their bedroom talk was humorous, kind of dirty but very refined. Like they were speaking in court talking about a dick.Anya and Kylor are very sweet together. This was certainly different from anything I have read before.A cute story, some sexy scenes and a HEA.

Fun & Cute Sexy Read!Everyone loves fairy tales especial me when they have been tweaked and erotic scenes have been added to them. This cute short story was smoothly written and was fast paced written. The book cover is what drew me to the story to begin with for I love a man who yields a sword. The story itself was ok for me but the best part was it got a emotional reaction out of me - I LMAO!. I enjoyed the connection between the characters and thought the author did a great job portraying Princess Anya as a clueless being. Not only was she blind to men due to a curse from a witch but she was also clueless to life and the etiquette’s of how a lady should act. The character Kylor was pretty cool and though he was supposed to be Anya’s protector and savior, he had an advantage over her due to her ignorance of what a man was and in a way that benefited him in the end sexually. Overall, the story was cute and fun, I smiled and laughed out loud towards the end of the story because I got a kick out of Anya’s ignorance when she didn’t know what the meaning of betrothal was and asked her father if it was ok since she and Kylor were betrothal did that mean they could fornicate anytime they wanted to. LMAO! When her father told her to go to her room and not come out until he said so, Anya obeyed him immediately but on her way out she grabbed Kylors hand and took him to her rooms with her. Their erotic scenes heated up some steam with their oral pleasures in the beginning and then their smacking love making in the end.Fun Read!

When I first read the title I was really intrigued. Blind to Men? LOL..well isn't that an interesting concept? And every mother's with a daughter fondest wish!! Anya had been raised in a secluded part of the world by her mother. Anya is special. She has blindness spells and sometimes goes temporarily deaf. It comes and goes and a lot of times it is in the middle of a sentence when someone is speaking to her. And then her life is abruptly changed when a strange visitor comes to collect her. This visitor is hands down the ugliest and hairiest woman Anya has ever seen. Her mother wants her to go with this woman to Palance, a place where she has always dreamed of going. But will this woman be able to protect her on the journey? The concept of this book was awesome. I mean seriously, she couldn't hear any conversation that leaned towards masculine words like his or him or even man or men. She also couldn't see any men. She only saw women. Which was absolutely hilarious. She is attacked but what she assumes is death because she can't see anyone. She is chased constantly by a pack of wild horses with no riders, and watches her Amazon woman battle with unseen forces on the long trip to Palance. This was a really cute, funny, and surprisingly steamy read. It doesn't lack at all in the entertainment category and allows you to see just how difficult it is to be blind to one sex. LOL..Great concept Chris!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!

The blurb for this book sounded great and I couldn't wait to read it. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed at all. It was different from any other book I have read. Anya has spent her life not knowing that she can't see and is invisible to men. She knows something is amiss when there is the ugliest woman she has ever seen there to escort her to the legendary Palance, a city she has only dreamed of visiting. In the middle of everything, Anya can't help be feel confused about the strange feelings she is having towards her Amazon protector. Having a spell put on him so he would be able to help the lovely Anya, Kylor instantly feeling the stirrings of sexual awareness towards the sexy woman he is vowed to protect with his life. Into their journey, Kylor realizes there is more to Anya then meets the eye which makes her damn near irresistible. Chris makes you stand up and take notice of these fantastic characters. Not only does she have you glued to the pages, she makes you light on fire from the passion Anya and Kylor share. Where can I find me one of those hunky protectors? Can't say I blame Anya for falling for Kylor. He is every woman's dream! On a side note, I just want to say I absolutely loved the cover. Usually my faves are the ones with half naked men but this one is the bees knees! :)

I won this book by entering a contest on Beth's blog: Beth's Wild and Crazy Book Reviews http://bethswildandcrazybookreviews.b... and I immediately inquired about the author, I didn't know anything! Then, when I read the summary of the book, I thought: this is rather an unusual concept. The general story seems interesting enough and I don't think I've read on this subject before. I must admit that once I started reading this story, I couldn't stop! From the first lines, the reader is projected into a strange world and he made the acquaintance of Anya, the main character, who does not seem to be able to see men or to hear the words related to the description of a male. I loved how the author introduces the reader to this aspect. After only a few lines, the reader quickly understands the situation of Anya and her adventures are just adorable, crispy and well thought out.Anya's a somewhat naive girl (thanks to his condition, a little farfetched, but that still do!), she's does not seem to be afraid of much and she's willing to try anything. I liked that this character will eventually find her real place in the world after eighteen years of well-guarded and false ''imprisonment''. She will discover and tame much more in this outside world.Kylor is the ''Amazon'' protector of Anya. He's the one that will help Anya to discover this new world and adapt to both physical and psychological level. While Anya is now aged of eighteen years old and still not aware of the half of her universe, Kylor will help her get through this awesome new world. Although sometimes I felt that Kylor took some ''advantage'' of the little Anya, he's still a reliable person, intentioned and pretty sexy! The author: Chris Lange seems to have developed a great imagination. Her style is well suited and well used. Very easy to read, to understand and enjoy, but still, this little story will leave you perplexed at its length. I was so absorbed with the adventures of Anya and her protector Kylor that I quickly realized that there were only a few pages before the end! Why??? I sincerely wanted much more! I wanted to lose myself in this story for days!!I recommend this book to all history buffs fantasy and sexy romance lovers! Blind to men was my first book from the author Chris Lange and not the last!

When I first read the blurb I was intrigued about the concept, a young woman unable to see or hear men and her journey to a faraway city with an "Amazon" woman who looks abnormal. LOL when I read that I knew I would be smiling from ear to ear as Anya discovers who and what this strange woman is and how it would affect her.Anya has grown up with her mother in almost complete isolation until one day a strange "woman" arrives and informs her mother that it is time for Anya to travel to the royal city of Palance. Anya is instructed to go with the strange woman and to trust "her" completely and has the blessing of her mother (you know what that means);).As Anya and Kylor travel to Palance she slowly discovers things about herself and about Kylor that shines a new light on the world around her. Anya's complete innocence and ignorance is so cute and funny to read as Kylor slowly shows her that being different from her is completely normal. One scene that pops out is when Kylor undresses in front of her to take a bath and Anya shrieks at his flat chest and dangling bit between his legs and comments that he is a deformed woman. Kylor ensures her that he is perfectly normal for his kind LOL. As Anya and Kylor discover each other their passion grows to an inferno pitch that is threatened by a long age curse that may lead to the destruction of either one of them. This is a quick read and one that is worth sneaking into your TBR pile. :)

Even if you are not a fan of this genre you should read this book. It has a beautiful prose and a really good story. Blind to Men is the story of Anya, a girl who has been cursed by an evil witch. She cannot see or hear about men, which leads for her to think she goes deaf at times. When Kylor comes to take her to the palace, her life is put upside down. During their journey she will discover a lot of about her past, the curse and what it has to be done to break it. Side by side with Kylor she will discover a world of passion and pleasure.Anya is so adorable, funny, curious, everything about her is lovely. She may seem like a naive girl, but she is also really strong and willing.Just imagine the posibility of not being able to see men and hear about them is really funny and Chris makes an excellent work creating this world of fantasy that never cease to amuse you. There were a lot of moments that made me laugh almost to tears because Anya's reactions and dialogues are too funny.Like I say, even if you are not a fan of the genre, the eroticism in the book is well used, is never tacky and is wonderfully written.A short story with great characters that surely will put a smile on your face.(Thanks to Ava and Chris for the giveaway in which I won a copy of it).

First I was excited because I won this book. I never win these types of contests. Now I am excited because I've read this inventive, creative story. What a mind to come up with the idea of a young babe (Anya) cursed by a witch and be "Blind to Men". She does not see men and they do not see her. The wonderful description of how she sees and hears the world are often funny. I wished the tale to be longer to enjoy how the author conveyed Anya's view of her surroundings. In addition to the curse she is to be sacrificed to avoid calamities to befall her country. Will she die , who will save her ?? You know what you need to do . READ this story.. Did I mention the totally hot ,erotic, romance in the tale ?Do I now have your attention. Good. READ this book.

I prefer sweet romance yet the sexy parts are so steamy and well written that I fell headfirst. The girl has been cursed so she can't see men except Kylor. I loved him, so strong and caring at the same time. The plotline is very different from the usual fairy tale and full of suspense. I read it in one sitting.

Chris Lange is an author that is new to me. I was fortunate enough to win a copy of her book, Blind to Men. I was intrigued by the premise of the story. Blind to Men is the story of Anya, a young woman who was cursed as an infant and is unable to see or hear anything having to do with men. This includes any masculine words. Not only can Anya not see men, but she can’t hear masculine words and suffers from deafness at those moments. Anya has been secluded on a farm with her mother and has no education about men. Upon her eighteenth spring, she is to be sacrificed. In comes Kylor, Anya’s protector and the only man she can see and hear, however, Kylor is seen as a very ugly woman. Kylor has to protect Anya until after the Summer Solstice in order to prove a false prophecy. While protecting Anya, Kylor also needs to break the curse. This is a fun, quick read. The story picks up pace very quickly and keeps the reader involved through to the end. For such a short book, there is lots of action and adventure. Ms. Lange has a great imagination for storytelling. The relationship between Anya and her protector, Kylor, develops quickly as Anya is given the directive from her mother to do whatever he says. There are many scenes in which Anya’s naiveté and lack of knowledge of proper etiquette are humorous. Not to mention, her discovery of Kylor as a man is hot. There are several great sex scenes in which Anya learns what pleasure really is. I gave Blind to Men 3 stars for a couple of reasons. I am somewhat impatient when I begin questioning things. I didn’t understand why Anya could only see Kylor. It was explained in the story, but I wanted to know now and kept asking that, which took me away from the story at times. Additionally, while Anya’s naïve antics and comments were humorous, I had some difficulty with her cliché like innocence. It just didn’t completely work for me. Last was Kylor’s willingness to assist Anya in discovering his and her sexuality. At times it seemed like he was taking advantage of her innocence and was a bit predictable. I did enjoy Blind to Men and would recommend it for a quick, sexy read. There is plenty of action sexually and through Kylor and Anya’s adventures throughout the story to keep the reader involved. The scenes are hot and the situations Anya finds herself in are humorous. Makes me wish I had a protector like Kylor. I wouldn’t mind “discovering” men.

Anya doesn't know men exists, she's never heard of them and never seen any. And now the ugliest woman on earth is escorting her from her mother to Kingdom of Palance to save her life.Kylor has a hard time getting her to meet the King of Palance and face the prophesy of a wicked witch, while seducing the completely innocent Anya without falling in love with her.Because once he's taken her virginity to prove the witch wrong, his days will be numbered...Erotic Romance Novella meets Mel Brooks and The Princess Bride! This novella was hilarious to read! And if you think laughing and hot love scenes go together then you need to pick this up! Chris Lange came up with an original fantasy plot, see the synopsis above, and she made it work. Reading Anya go through her first meeting with a man, who she presumes is the ugliest woman she's ever seen, is so hilarious you can't control your giggles. It really does have that Mel Brooks feel with lines like "Please nail me, my lord!" and dialogue that is corny and funny and situations that make you both blush and cringe, and laugh! The romance is hot, most of the book Anya can't see men, can't hear anything "male" and they can't see her except for Kylor. Anya discovers her sexuality with him, but she's not to lose her virginity until the eclipse otherwise she might be offered as a sacrifice by a power hungry witch. It's very hot, very awkward at times but very very entertaining! And look at that candy colored cover, if that doesn't say fantasy I'd be surprised! But this book isn't as serious as the cover implies. ;)Get this if you find the plot interesting, because the novella sure is! Be prepared to laugh out loud! For lovers of The Princess Bride and erotic romance!

Actually, I don't often read this type of books, but "Blind to Men" by Chris Lange attracted me in terms that both it is a short book and it combines fantasy with erotic fiction. When reading the book, you sense that the sexual expressions are really necessary for the flow of the story. You cannot separate them from the book, because the romantic and exciting "making love" ceremonies are necessary for the female protagonist's survival, who was cursed on birth by an evil witch, so she will not see nor hear any man until she loses her virginity at 18. The men cannot see nor hear her, either. She doesn't know anything about this curse at all. She just sees one man, but Anya thinks that he is an ugly woman as she has never known what a man looks like :) This man, Kylor, is her protector and savior, who fights with the enemies (that Anya assumes as invisible) for Anya's life. Their relationship, which begins as a sexual duty, gains passion and lust and love in the end. No physical or spiritual power (even fear of death) can prevent them from loving each other. In the first few pages of the book, I couldn't make out what exactly is going on, but then the story fascinated me so much that I finished it in one sitting! The only disadvantage may be that everything happens very quickly, but all in all, it's a short story. If you'd like to feel the fire growing inside, I recommend you to read "Blind to Men".

Anya can’t seem men at all because of a spell that was placed on her. Kylar would do anything to protect her so when it comes upon her 18th birthday, he volunteers to take her to Palance so they can show the curse has been lifted. Anya is very naive to the world around her since she has lived a very sheltered life mainly for her own safety. Kylar is attracted to her and helps her lift the curse that she has lived with all of her life.

This book was recommended to me by Anne, so thanks Anne. I loved it. This book is fantasy. The main Character Anya is hilarious. She's so innocent that sometimes her bluntness and honesty have you cracking up. The love scenes between Anya and Kylor were so hot!!! Anya made them funny. So if you like hot sex, romance, and laughter then you should read this book.

I really wanted to like this book. I think the premise is really interesting, and it's something I haven't seen before. Unfortunately, when all was said and done, I put the book aside and shrugged. It wasn't that the writing was poor. The quality was there, though I noticed a number of issues that should have been fixed in the production stage (extra quotation marks, missing period, etc.). The book wasn't overburdened with them, but there were enough for me to take notice. I also struggled with the pronoun usage at the beginning when both Anya and Kylor were referred to as "she". Sometimes I'd have to pause and reread a passage so I knew which "she" was being discussed. I'm not a big fan of romances where the two leads fall in love at the drop of a hat, and that's what happened here. During Anya and Kylor's first intimate scene together, I felt like she was a little girl experiencing something beyond her age. I understood that Anya was innocent to men and their ways (obviously... that's the premise), so when Kylor had her fool around with him on their first night together, it was like watching some guy take advantage of a girl too young for the situation. It just wasn't appealing to me. It didn't feel sexy. And it happened so quick. I understand that he probably had to get her used to sexuality in order to break the curse, but it just left a weird taste in my mouth. I also found some of the dialogue during the lovemaking scenes to be a bit awkward. I hate the word "pussy" being thrown around, but that's just a personal thing. I guess the book just wasn't for me. I wanted more. More build-up to the romance, more lusty looks and exploration, more development. I guess the book just could have been longer--give the two leads time to grow on each other, rather than love at first sight. Obviously lots of other people liked it, and that's great. It hasn't put me off from reading more of the author's work, but this one just wasn't for me.

Anya has lived in a protected, sheltered word for the entirety of her eighteen springs. She and her mother have lived on a secluded farm with villagers keeping far away, fearing the place is haunted. One day, that all changes, when a strange woman visits Anya and her mother. Soon, much to Anya's despair, her mother is urging her to journey to the lauded city of Palance with the stranger. It is a place Anya has heard much about and has always wanted to visit to see the Queen and her Amazons. Anya's and the stranger's journey is fraught with peril because Anya is...Blind to Men. But there's only one man she can see and he holds the key to her future.Blind to Men has humor, magic, suspense, and some hot, intense love scenes. I finished it in one sitting, riveted to each page and refusing to move until I discovered what happened next. I wish there had been one or two scenes from the hero's POV, especially during some of Anya's humorous discoveries and how she related what she'd learned to others. But, hey, I'm not complaining. This is a five-star, first-class read!

Reviewed by [email protected] Stars ReviewsBlind to Men is a short fantasy book about a girl who is cursed. She can not see or hear anything that has to deal with men, or men themselves. She has lived eighteen years without the knowledge of men until one day comes a "woman" she has never seen before and she starts to experience all kinds of strange things. This story just wasn't for me. I thought the whole over all idea of the plot was interesting, but the rest of it was really lacking. I also liked the heroine and hero's relationship even though it was kind of instant love. Other than that a lot of the dialogue especially during the sex parts was beyond annoying. I laughed through out most of those parts, because it was seriously ridiculous. The ending was still nice even though I didn't really care for this book. It just wasn't for me.

I loved this short fantasy tale by Chris Lange! The unique concept of Anya's curse hooked me from the beginning. She's a total innocent, unaware of the male sex its entirety, unable to see men in the flesh. This leads to some seriously hot and humorous scenes when the one man who she can see comes for her. Kylor is a worthy hero and protector to Anya. Loved how her innocence made her totally unapologetic about sex, unaware of convention as she is. Great concept, memorable characters. And veerrryyy hot!
