Unexpected Rule of Thirds Reviews
Every now and then an author writes a book that causes me to really take a strong look at my views on things, my values or morals, making me wonder as to my own judgmental attitudes. Melissa Aragon has written two books in a series that do just that. Unexpected Rule of Thirds is the conclusion to the Alex - Mary - Bryce triangle and answers all the questions and suspicions I had from reading the first book, Unexpectedly Out of Focus.I am not a person who believes in cheating. I believe that marriage vows are sacred, and everything should be exhausted before a marriage is unable to be salvaged. No buts, ifs, or ands. BUT, this book...this series...is so well written that the author had me really looking at my views on marriage because Bryce and Mary were so right for each other. I can't say that I questioned my views or values, and they certainly didn't change, but I did take a hard look at my own judgments of others. Even if you are one who doesn't enjoy any book with cheating and read to escape reality, we all want our fiction to have a realistic tone to it because it enables us to connect better with the book. This book is real. The first book in the series is real. These events really happen, and they happened to Mary, Alex, and Bryce.Unexpected Rule of Thirds is a wonderfully written conclusion to the Mary, Alex, and Bryce saga. This book follows Mary's pregnancy, the tug of war between two men fighting over her, and a very controversial topic. I was very happy with the pacing of the book, and the ending wrapped up Mary's story beautifully. If you are open to looking past marital deceptions and want a book established in reality with a blossoming romance intertwined, this is a book you will certainly enjoy. This series must be read in order for the reader to understand the characters' histories, know exactly what is happening, and because most of the character development is done in the first installment.**Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. For the full review, visit Romantic Reading Escapes.
