I LOVED Lily and Nate's story! They had instant chemistry on the page because they've known each other nearly their whole lives. I loved that they had a history bringing them together but it was also an obstacle keeping them apart. Their story was sweet and sexy and kept me turning the pages the whole time waiting to find out how they'd find their happily ever after. Very satisfying novella! I'd definitely recommend.

Find this review and more at Lusty Penguin Reviews!Light My Fire is an entertaining friends-to-lovers romance by Kristina Knight. I thoroughly enjoyed Knight’s graceful writing style, which drew me into her charming story.Rock star Nate Lansford is hard hearted and definitely not looking for love any time soon. Handsome and completely droolworthy, Nate wants to change his bad boy image by taking a guest panelist spot on the reality TV show Star Power. The only woman who makes Nate’s heat beat faster is Lily MacIntyre, the sister of his childhood best friend. Lily, teen TV sensation, needs to shed her “teen-queen” image to be taken seriously in Hollywood. Lily takes a co-hosting spot on Star Power to do just that. Lily didn’t expect to be working with Nate and worries about how it will affect their friendship since she has always had feeling for him. Throughout production of Star Power, Nate shows that he really isn’t a bad boy at all as he helps the various contestants, which is endearing. The chemistry between Nate and Lily sizzles with toe-curling kisses and sexy bedroom play. These two are captivating while they figure out how to work together, try to build a relationship, and deal with the tabloids at the same time. I just loved them.Compelling characters make Light My Fire a delightful read from beginning to end!I received an eBook copy of the book for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

LIGHT MY FIRE is what I would call a "Lunch Time Read", One Hundred Pages of Fast Paced, Sweet and Sexy Romance! I really enjoy the romance between Lily and Nate, but that is all it really was...just a budding romance, or two friends finally coming together. I kept waiting for some drama or scandal or something, but nothing, just a sweet romance with some awesome sex in between the romance. I guess with a couple in the "Hollywood Spotlight" I expected drama...but that could just be my jaded mind set. Not that the story was bad AT ALL...I really liked Nate, he was smokin hot, and I was all about his style...who can resist a sexy Rock Star, and Lily was a very likable heroine, who I wanted to see end up with Nate. All in all it was a fun read and I will certainly read the next in the series!

Bad boy rock star Nate Lansford had no plans to settle down. The only woman who makes him even consider it is his good friend, actress Lily MacIntyre. Too bad she's his best friend's twin sister and therefore absolutely off limits. The two of them have known one another since they were kids and have always protected and fought for each other. After an ill-fated kiss in the back of a limo, Nate hightails it out of there. He's not the kind of guy Lily needs. But when the pair find themselves as co-stars on the same TV show, the sparks are undeniable.Making an agreement to "engage in a little lust-driven monkey sex to save our friendship," Nate and Lily give a big middle finger to all of the reasons they shouldn't be together and just go for it. They both expected the sex to be epic, and neither of them is shocked when one night isn't enough for either of them. But are their feelings genuine or is it all a PR game? LIGHT MY FIRE by Kristina Knight is included in the Harlequin Contemporary Box Set, Volume 2 and is a great addition to the set! I really dug this book, a combination of fun and sensual and sexy with excellent characters in a Hollywood setting. They sound like the typical Tinsel Town couple—man-whore musician with gorgeous upcoming starlet. But their banter and obviously deep friendship and love was evident in every move they made and the chemistry was incredible. LIGHT MY FIRE also had some decadent sex scenes, making this last book in the box set a much desired treat.I appreciated that this book didn't have the typical angsty misunderstandings and hurt feelings and massive struggle to overcome. This was a couple whose feelings were more than superficial and who was determined to keep their friendship intact regardless of how their sexual relationship played out. LIGHT MY FIRE was an excellent read and I'd love more of Lily and Nate in the future!

Nate is a bad-boy rocker, although written more like a gorgeous, normal male than the bad-boy rocker, who has hid his feelings for Lily for some time. Lily is trying to squash her former wholesome, 16-year-old girl next door TV persona and be seen in Hollywood as the star she wants to be. What better way than to hook up with Nate? The trouble in that scenario is he is one of her childhood friends and her twin brother’s best friend, not to mention he has always held a place in her heart... When the co-star together on a talent reality show, the sparks and chemistry cannot be denied. When they agree to a friends-with-benefits – PR stunt – or as Nate calls it “engaging in a little lust-driven monkey sex to save our friendship”, what can it hurt, right? Will their friendship that they both want to protect above everything else survive, or will this finally let them both admit to the love and longing they share for each other. This is a quick, romantic read. A friends-to-lover read that keeps your heart happy with no real angst and some great, steamy, well-written sex scenes. I think there was a ton of potential in this storyline and would have loved for a longer, more in-depth read. I think when Chase found out about their “union” there was a major missed opportunity. All in all, I did enjoy reading Light My Fire and am looking forward to reading more in the Anthem Series.

Cute and super short story. This was a really quick read...took lil over an hour. So much more could have been added to this story to make it a full length novel and more depth could have been added. It also could have used a good editor. I found lots of grammatical errors, misused words, etc. that it slowed down the reading of the story. The story concept itself was nice, the dialogue between characters was engaging and the descriptions to details were done well. No heart twinge moments, no laughter, no tears...just straight reading for me. It was enjoyable. As a beta reader/content editor, I found many places where I would have made suggestions to add to the story. Since this is part of a 3 book series, maybe some of these issues will be addressed in the next book but since new couples will be introduced, I doubt it. All in all, a cute read.Would I recommend this book? Yes. Especially if you are looking for something short to read.Would I read more from this author? YesSassy Beta Reading & Review

This book has a good storyline. A good girl, Lily, wants a Bad Boy, but she only wants Nate, who's been her friend since grade school. Does he feel the same way? Does he see her beyond their childhood friendship and accept her as a grown woman? Does he want her? Lily is Nate's best friend's sister. Will that stop him?Lily wants to get rid of the good girl image that she created from her tv show, The Rayne Show. Her co star is telling everyone that it's her fault for the show being cancelled, but in reality it ------- Read the book!!Nate is a guest panelist on the new reality show, Star Power, and Lily is their co-host. Now that they have to work together, Lily hopes she can change his mind about her.A little too short, but I liked this book.☆☆☆☆I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!Would I read more from this author? Yes!Happy Reading!Melissa

This was a quick, fast, easy to read story about crossing the lines between friends and lovers. Nate and Lily have known each other since they were kids, both have harbored feelings beyond friendship for a long time but did not want to ruin the closeness they have always had by take those feelings to the next level. Falling in love and having a relationship is never easy, but trying to do it amongst the paparazzi, tabloids and Hollywood fans makes for an interesting storyline that will keep you engaged up to the end. I thought it was well written and stayed focused on the main characters without a lot of outside drama or distractions. The attraction between the two main characters was heated and I liked that they were worried about keeping there friendship above all else. This was a good story for nice afternoon read.

3.5 Stars out of 5.Can the bad-boy rocker – Nate, and the wholesome, girl-next door TV star – Lily, find love and happiness in tabloid Hollywood? That is the question that is looked at in Light My Fire. This story reinforced the knowledge that check-out counter tabloids, or even the on line gossip blogs, are nothing but hype – whatever the writer of the story wants to fabricate, whether it is factual or not. The biggest obstacle this hot couple had to overcome was image. They had to learn that their “image” was more Hollywood hype than reality. Once they came to terms with that and let it go, they found their happy ever after. *sigh* This was a short – only 100 pages – bed time story, but a nice well rounded story with likable characters. I liked it. I was provided a copy for an honest review.

3.5 Stars. This is a cute friends-to-lovers story about a rock star and a former-actress, current reality show host. While I liked the story, and the characters were fine, it was full of errors—missing words, inappropriate pronouns, garbled sentences. Example: "...tasting the sensitive at her jawline." There is an important word missing from that sentence, and there were several instances of this in the story. After a while, that began to be annoying in addition to jarring me out of the plot. How did nobody catch errors like that?!

A super quick read that leaves you wanting more. if you're looking for a quick afternoon read, maybe while waiting for an appointment this will fill the bill. if you want to feel the characters, you'll be left wanting.Nick is supposed to be a bad boy rock star but comes across rather normal. no real edge sexiness leaving you panting for more.Lil is trying to break out of her good girl shadow and more appears to use Nick.the romance is lacking, no lead up, no description. lots of potential with the story line and it wasn't unenjoyable, it was just lacking heart.

I’ll admit I’m a checkout line tabloid creeper. I see all these stories about how the other half lives and the supposed crazy things they are up to now… and I’m suckered in. So why should a book be any different? Especially when the two main characters have a history as just friends with a secret desire for something more. I loved that the author didn’t get so bogged down in details regarding the glitz and glitter of stardom that she lost the characters along the way. I was rooting for Nate and Lily even AFTER they hooked up. Great read and great writing!

Light My fire is a quick read with a friends to lover premise. It's an enjoyable read, Lily matures and gains strength, Nate grows up enough to recognize sometimes you need to let go of the past and move forward. There's tension and well written sex scenes. I would have liked to see a little more of Chase and Kat as supporting characters, especially since they each have their own stories in the series. Overall, it was a great read when you have limited time, it will leave you satisfied with a HEA and you'll have fun getting there.

Friends to lovers..A cute, quick read. Lily and Nate have known each other since childhood. He’s her brothers’ best friend. They decide to take the next step, all the while concerned about losing the friendship they’ve always had. I liked the story and the way it didn’t stray from the Lily and Nate and kept the focus on them. The chemistry between the two is nice. This is a good “read in one sitting” book.

Perfect love, perfect novellaMs. Knight has a deft hand with characterization and an eye for pacing. Both are absolute necessities for a successful novella and Light My Fire succeeds on all levels. Nate is a charming bonbon of a rogue with a luscious soft center. Lily is an entertaining mix of insecurity and bravado. As a shorter story should, the tale focuses on the emotional challenges these two characters face before they can gain the rewards of true love.

Not your ordinary friends to more story! Lily has always had feelings for Nate, but he was her twin's best friend and she thought he felt only sisterly feelings for her. When they are older, fate throws them together and gives them a chance to play with those feelings, Lily can try and convince Nate she is a grown woman. Nate is now a bad boy, but always had a soft spot for Lily. Well written characters and enjoyed it in one sitting.

I don't quite know what to think of this book. I think it was too short and therefore did not do justice to the potentional the storyline had. I liked Lily and Nate but it seemed rushed and parts of it seemed like part of the story was missing.

3.75 stars. I like the story and characters and think the use has potential. The book could use a proofreader though cause there were a few missing words, a couple wrong words and a few continuity issues.
