I really enjoyed reading The Boyfriend List, the first book in Renee Novelle's Boyfriend Series and was eager to begin THE PERFECT BOYFRIEND almost immediately afterwards. I am very happy to be able to say I liked it even more. Partly because for me, with a good sequel it always feels like I'm hanging out with old friends, or at least it should, and The Perfect Boyfriend certainly does. Reagan and Ian are solidly together after a little bump in the road named Isabella that occurred in the first book. They are each preparing for a very special "first date" to begin their transition from best friends to lovers in a very memorable way. Petra is making sure Reagan is dressed to impress Ian in a way he will never forget and Ian pulls out all the stops to make the night as romantic as possible for Reagan. The following quote alone should show just what a perfect boyfriend Ian really is and give you an idea of what a sweet love story Renee has written. I dare you not to swoon a little.“This isn’t just another first date. This is the beginning of forever for you and me. And if you decide that’s not what you want down the road, that’s fine. But Reagan, my intentions aren’t just to find another short-term girlfriend. I want you, all of you, for as long as you’re willing to give me.”As in The Boyfriend List there are people and situations that test their young love, and make the story more interesting, but it all works out and ends in a very romantic scene with more tender declarations of lifelong love from Ian. Along the way, Reagan and Ian both learn some hard life lessons, mature a bit, and find comfort and security from each other. Reagan's best friend, Petra is once again hilarious and absolutely the kind of friend everyone wishes they had in their corner. All in all, The Perfect Boyfriend is a well written book with delightful characters and a slightly steamier storyline than The Boyfriend List. 4 stars~Complimentary copy received in exchange for a honest review.

The Perfect Boyfriend is the follow up to The Boyfriend List and I must say it's a great sequel. I really enjoyed the first book of the series and was eager to read this next one. The story starts off right where the first book ended as Reagan and Ian come to terms with their feelings for one another. I really enjoyed reading about the growth of each character as they both have to overcome a few obstacles to try and make their romance work. There are some rocky moments and the reader has a slight panic attack...I know I did. I also loved the fact that there were some steamy scenes in there...LOL. You can't go wrong with that. Ian is such a great character. His sexiness yet humble personality just melted my heart. I adored Reagan's determination as it added the right balance. The connection between Ian and Reagan is so genuine and sweet. They make a very cute couple. I loved how Ian constantly cared for her and worked so hard to get her to open up. “This isn’t just another first date. This is the beginning of forever for you and me. And if you decide that’s not what you want down the road, that’s fine. But Reagan, my intentions aren’t just to find another short-term girlfriend. I want you, all of you, for as long as you’re willing to give me.”I absolutely loved Petra. That girl just rocks in this story and I'm hoping she gets her own story. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read. I finished it in one sitting and am eager to read the continuation the series.

This is book two in the Boyfriend SeriesYes, book one needs to be read before you read this book. This book starts off right where book one left off.I gave this book 5 stars. Reagan and Ian have to learn to love each other as life starts to fall apart around them. They are confronted with several situations that would destroy any normal couple just starting out. But this is Reagan and Ian they are the best of friends. I loved how much more confident Reagan was in this book. She has grown so much. I felt for these two and all the things that they had to go threw. I wasn't sure what kind of conflict that was going to happen to them in this book, but the Author kept me captivated and turning the pages. I love this couple. This book is also a lot steamer then the first one! It is a must read. I will be reading a lot more from Renee! Thank you for an amazing book!!

It was great to pick up exactly where I left off with Reagan and Ian in The Boyfriend List. I was a little apprehensive about starting this book because of the way the first book ended. There is what I though was a HEA but turned out to be a Happy For Now. You can't have a second book and not have conflict between Reagan and Ian. I must say Renee met my expectations and my fears were unfounded.I loved how much more secure Reagan was in this book. Of course it wasn't easy for her and I admire her for working hard to get to that place. I felt so bad for her and Ian. Their relationship was so new and they had to face so many hurdles. My heart broke for Ian and the situation he found himself faced with.I feel like I flew through this book in no time. It's well written, fast paced, and much hotter then The Boyfriend List. I'm sort of looking forward to seeing them tackle the challenges that come their way in the next book, but I shudder to think of the obstacles they will face.

The Perfect Boyfriend is a great read!!! It starts out right where The Boyfriend List left off. It can not be read a s a standalone, you must read The Boyfriend List first. Ian and Reagan are moving forward with taking their relationship from a friendship to a romantic relationship. Reagan has a few little freaks out as they are transitioning from friends to boyfriend and girlfriend. Just as everything prefect, life throws a curve ball at them. They deal with a parent that is ill, an ex of Ian's, and Isabella turning up again. There is a lot up emotional ups and down in this book. It starts sweet and you think everything is perfect then as you read now you wonder whether Ian is the perfect boyfriend or not. The Perfect Boyfriend is a really sweet read. It doesn't really have a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting to know more about the next step Reagan and Ian will take.

I have to start saying that you need to read book 1 really before reading this one. Alas, I picked this one to read for a blog tour not realizing it was book 2, my mistake, not anyone else's, so it took me a while to place things together, once I did though, I enjoyed this book.Reagan and Ian's love for each other, he can feel it coming out of each page you turn, but like any good romance it has its problems. When Ian's father was taken ill and not expected to last long, of course Ian had to return home.I can't give you more about this story as it's going to reveal too many spoilers and I hate reading reviews with too many spoilers, what's the point of reading the book yourself if you can piece it all together by the reviews! so mine stops here. Its a well written, well thought out storyline. Loved the characters, real, honest and true.

I really enjoyed reading The Perfect Boyfriend, even though I hadn’t read the first of the series it really didn’t matter as this can be read as a standalone book too.The main characters are Reagan and Ian who have been friends for a long time and finally get it on only to have the romance practically wrenched away from them as soon as it starts when Ian’s father falls ill. With jealous girls making up rumours can Reagan keep it together and learn to trust Ian and know the girls are lying or will it be doomed.Ian really was the perfect boyfriend, I am sure any girl would love him as a boyfriend and their mothers would definitely approve.A great read, that kept me captured from start to finish.

I received this book for an honest review. This is the 2nd book in the series. This picks right where the Boyfriend List ends. For this I was extremely happy. Both these books were very enjoyable. It was really nice to see the characters grow from the first book. The connection between Ian and Reagan is so sweet and genuine. I think that what I enjoyed the most about these books was that this book didnt show their romance as always being smooth sailing just like any relationship there are some bumps in the road. Just a very enjoyable book..

Sweet, clean romance, but too predictable and too perfect.“The Perfect Boyfriend” is the sequel to “The Boyfriend List” and picks up where the first book left off. This can be read as a standalone (which I did); however, reading the first book could be beneficial as it would provide some additional insight into the characters and background information into recent events.Renee Novelle does a beautiful job with her creation of characters that have distinct personalities. Reagan, the main character, has quite a bit of personal growth throughout the book; however, much of this growth is facilitated by hand-holding and the more dominant personality of her best friend, and roommate, Petra. I enjoyed Petra’s personality, especially her confidence, much more than Reagan’s personality. Reagan had several insecurities, such as issues with self-esteem, self-doubt, and trust. She struggled with moving from a friendship to something more with Ian.Ian was exceptionally caring, understanding, and humble. All he wanted was to give Reagan everything she could ever need, to love her, and have her love in return. With the title of this book, I expected Ian to be Reagan’s definition of perfect, but to me he was too perfect. In many instances, he was so perfect it was like he was a knight in shining armor that could do no wrong. His perfectness almost added a convenience and predictability to the story line – he would defend Reagan’s honor, even after the fact, and he was able to achieve his goal because he conveniently knew everyone he would have to cross paths with, and nobody would get in his way.Reagan and Ian did encounter some roadblocks on the way to their happily ever after – the illness of one of Ian’s family, catty, interfering ex-girlfriends, and their relationship suddenly becoming a long-distance relationship. In my mind, these roadblocks and the subsequent conflicts were predictable, including the responses from the characters based on their personalities. Ian (or Mr. Perfect as I started calling him), had an explanation for everything. Reagan’s insecurities jumped to the forefront and she instantly doubted herself, Ian, and their relationship. The part that really did not work for me was Reagan’s surprise. Readers find out about Reagan’s surprise before she does. This, in my mind, ruined the emotions of joy and surprise that were expressed by Reagan. I did not feel that the chapter that gave the details of the surprise was necessary, and would have enjoyed Reagan’s surprise and the ending more if I would have been surprised at the same time as Reagan was.Overall, Renee Novelle did a good job with a sweet, clean romance. I would be willing to read another book by this author, and would recommend this book to those looking for a quick, sweet read.

The Perfect Boyfriend is the continuation of Reagan and Ian’s story from The Boyfriend List, so if you haven’t read the first book, one click that and then revisit this review. So… if being in a relationship isn’t difficult enough, Reagan and Ian have so much going against them. The one thing they have going in their favor is that they know each other very well. A friendship first before finding something more. Something more has just turned into an incredible journey. But with something more comes added stresses and when both of their lives change drastically and quickly, will they be able to stay strong together or will all of outside forces push them away from one another?Reagan has to speed up her education as funds are running low… and she needs to find a job. Attempt one at the job, no good. Attempt number two, success, kind of. Because that is not nearly enough for the two of them to handle, during the same time Ian’s father becomes ill and everything he knows will be changing. And their relationship may pay the ultimate price for the concessions that Ian is going to have to make, including moving over two hours away. Can the two of them survive? Can he truly be not only the best friend but the perfect boyfriend despite all of the circumstances and everything going against them? This was a quick little read and a nice follow up to The Boyfriend List. If you haven’t read these books, I high recommend them. Just enough angst, just enough drama and more love than should be possible. I loved finding out the rest of the story between Ian and Reagan. Knowing what makes their love so strong just left me in complete awe.The only downside to The Pefect Boyfriend, was that I wanted more. I wasn’t ready for the pages to stop turning. It is well written and has a soft edge to it.

With a title such as The Perfect Boyfriend, in my opinion you know the books in going to be good and Renee Novelle doesn't disappoint in her latest novel which is the second story in the Boyfriend series. As the novel carries on from the first book The Boyfriend List readers are treated to the progession of the relationship between the two lead characters - Reagan and Ian and all the challenges that a relationship entails. This book will have you laughing at peak moments, heart-wrenching at others and just overall feeling good. Novelle is very talented in her ability to connect with the readers to make them feel what the characters in her book are feeling, which is something not all authors can do.The characters go through a personal growth in this novel, learning how to trust one another - a key foundation in any relationship which is never easy. It is easy to connect with a character whom you have experienced the same type of choices/feelings, because we all know giving your heart and soul and trust to someone else and giving it in its entirety is very scary. However, Novelle writes so eloquently that readers can identify with what both Ian and Reagan are both feeling and the actions that the two characters follow through with is so very true to them and to human nature. It was also great to see how Raegan had transformed into this more secure women as the personal growth that she developed through the course of the book was so stunning and so refreshing.Renee Novelle didn't disappoint with the steamy scenes either - which always make a book just a little bit better in my opinion. Readers will be treated with passion, desire and all of steamy sex .... Be forewarned :)A must add to your To-Be-Read Shelf.

This one felt more like an extended epilogue to the first book. Where the first one ended, we could have pretty much figured out where the story was going to go. Although, this book does throw a couple of twists at Reagan and Ian, to further test their love and devotion to each other. Again, Reagan is dealing with a lot of understandable trust issues. Her relationship with Ian is still too fresh and new, so I understand her caution to a point. Once you have been burned, it is very difficult to dive into love again. As for Ian's side of what happened, when you are dealing with your father having a terminal illness, you do have a tendency to muck up other areas of your personal life as you come to terms with everything and figure out how to balance it.Reagan does find some strength during this book, which I was glad to see. I did feel like certain aspects of their relationship moved too fast, but it is what readers would want to see. This book didn't jump around with point-of-view as much as the first book did, which was nice. It did a couple of times, especially toward the end, which I thought took away from a special surprise. I think I would have preferred to have discovered that at the same time as Reagan. This one was another fast read that passed time on a summer evening. I do see the potential for a third installment as Reagan prepares for the next chapter of her life, but it isn't necessary. I would also recommend reading the first book, to give you some better insight into what is going on. The prologue of this book is actually the final chapter of the last one, which gives you some hints. I think you would like this one better if you first read its prequel.I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

4 StarsI really enjoyed The Perfect Boyfriend by Renee Novelle which is the follow-up to The Boyfriend List. This story starts off right where the first book ended. Reagan and Ian are finally coming to terms with their feelings for one another. This was book took me on quite an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed with them, cried with them and sometimes wanted to jump into my kindle and slap them.Ian decides to take Reagan on a real first date to start their new relationship off on the right foot. Petra helps Reagan get ready to make Ian speechless. Ian is pulling out all the stops to make this a very special date for Reagan. This is such a sweet love story. This is one of my favorite quotes from the book.“This isn’t just another first date. This is the beginning of forever for you and me. And if you decide that’s not what you want down the road, that’s fine. But Reagan, my intentions aren’t just to find another short-term girlfriend. I want you, all of you, for as long as you’re willing to give me.”They do run into a few obstacles along the way that will test their love for each other. They learn that long distance relationships can be tough but love can get them through anything. Ian and Reagan both do a lot of growing up in this book. I loved the connection between the two main characters. I really connected with some of the struggles the characters went through as I have been in some of those situations myself. Petra was an amazing friend to Reagan as she was always pushing her to try new things. I can't wait to read what Renee is working on next. Hopefully we will see more of Reagan and Ian in future books.

This was an adorable story of taking a friendship to the next level and all the trials that come along with relationships. It was easy to read and didn’t make you feel overwhelmed with too much drama. It had enough drama, humor, romance and friendship to keep the reader happy! The friendship between Reagan and Petra was remarkable. It showed how true best friends should be. I loved when Petra would tell it like it is when Reagan would start questioning things. How she pushed her friend when it came to fashion and what to wear when she went on her first real date with Ian. I also loved how she kept an eye out for Reagan when she began to work in that club. Ian and Reagan had an interesting relationship. Going from best friends to lovers can be a bit awkward. It starts out with so much passion but he knew when it was too much for her and was ok with waiting. He had me swooning several times over how attentive and wonderful he was. I think he truly put Reagan first. She consumed him. But, as in all relationships there will be trials that the couple must get through. I am just thankful that Reagan wasn’t the overdramatic, pit of doom kind of girl and was able to handle things to an extent. Every once in a while she needed to be reminded but overall she handled everything very well. It was an adorable story and I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us!

4 STARS!I really like this book. This was an amazing follow-up to The Boyfriend List. This book really showed the ups and downs of a relationship, no matter how perfect the couple. This book was sweet, funny, emotional and much hotter than book one. This is the continuation of Reagan and Ian. Just as they are settling into a relationship, Reagan and Ian have no idea the obstacles their new relationship is about to face. As distance, life, and insecurities arise, their deep bond as best friends will need to help Ian and Reagan make it through the downs to get to the happy ending. Will Reagan and Ian finally get their happy ending?I loved Reagan and Ian in this book. Reagan was a much more confident girl whose insecurities only peeked through every now and then. I also admired her determination. I also loved Ian. He was so sweet and understanding. I also felt for him and the struggles he was facing. I loved these two together. I LOVE romances where the guy and girl have history and being best friends is about as close as two people can be.I recommend this series! While this book probably could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading book one because it creates a great backstory for book two as this book is about their love blossoming and maturing and the obstacles that they will face.Blog Tour--->

The Perfect Boyfriend is book two in the Boyfriend series by Renee Novelle and picks up exactly where book one finishes. If you haven’t read book one I suggest you do so before reading this one. This book is all about the growth of relationships and the hardships of real life. In its essence this is a sweet story of young adults finding their footing while transitioning into a grown up world. Reagan is an idealist, a dreamer she believes in one true love and happily ever afters but its doesn’t look like things are going to be that easy or that simple for her and Ian. A text from Ian’s mother means that their budding relationship may be over before its even begun. Of course Isabella makes an appearance in book two being a complete b**** just like in book one. She can’t help herself but with Petra’s help Reagan shuts her up and it kind of makes you as a reader want to high five her for standing up for herself and not being so damn sensitive like in book one. Ian seems to have ex’s coming out of the woodwork left right and centre but being completely perfect he does everything he can to assure Reagan that its her he loves, even while he’s going through one of the hardest days of his life. The writing was good, the grammar and spelling was spot on and the story was lovely, I can’t fault it. I liked this story it was very sweet and was a nice ending to a good series.

The Perfect Boyfriend starts up right where Ian & Reagan left off in The Boyfriend List. Which as a reader is always a great thing to discover. Ian and Reagan are still getting their grips on their new relationship. It's adorable. I love Ian. He's the perfect type of guy. I think the fact they were best friends before starting a relationship also helps them out. Now everything isn't all perfect...Reagan has some bumps and hurtles she must face. As does Ian. Their relationship gets challenged. I on one hand was pretty pissed off with Reagan. She knows exactly the type of person Ian is, yet she is quick to think the worst of him. Which really pissed me off. He has never given her any reason to doubt him, so I have no clue why all of a sudden she does. When she finally grew some balls and told Isabella off it made me happy. Thank the lord. FINALLY! The way it ended irritated me. I wish she had given us a bit more before just cutting us off. Aside from that I still love Ian. Reagan has grown up a tad. Ian has grown up tremendously. I love the man he is becoming. Petra is still the amazing best friend any girl would be blessed to have. I rate The Perfect Boyfriend 4 STARS. <3

Such a beautiful story of Love, Trust, Compassion and friendship.Ian is definitely the epitome of the best kind of man there is to have as a boyfriend or friend. The relationship he shares with Reagan is flawed but only because she has to learn to trust him. This story begins exactly where the Boyfriend list left off. I can't tell you how much I loved that because I had read a while before and really just needed to read the first few sentences to be caught up again. It was that seamless.Reagan has just heard that her best friend has not betrayed her but she doesn't know if he still wants her in his life because of her reaction and lack of trust in him.Ian has just poured his heart out to a bunch of people professing his love for the woman he has known and has cherished, but she was not there to hear it and is now worried that he has lost her before they had the chance to even start. DRAMA!!!!Okay I promise I will not tell you how this ends, well I will tell you that it is the perfect ending to a book that gives you tons of drama and sexiness. I loved Ian and Reagan this story was simply perfect!

** I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. ** The Perfect Boyfriend is Book 2 in The Boyfriend Series, following behind The Boyfriend List. In all honesty, I enjoyed this book more than the first! I enjoyed reading about Raegan and Ian’s growing relationship. It was also a little refreshing to read a book that focused on more of the emotional aspects of a relationship than on the sexual side. In reading this book, I remembered how much I hated Isabella from the first book. And that Lizzie, I wanted to punch her. I loved the ending, well for the most part. I thought the ending was sweet but now I am ready for the next book (not published yet) to see what happens next!I may have liked this one better as Raegan was a little more grown up than the last book. No more stupid lists. A few misunderstandings, but Petra quickly squelched them and brought Raegan back to her senses. I completely felt bad for Ian and his family problems, but at least Raegan was grown up enough to realize he needed her. I’m kind of hoping that Isabella and Lizzie do not make appearances in Book 3, but I am sure they probably will. I am really enjoying this series.

this picked up where the last left us and what a amazing ride. Ian is every girls dream boyfriend. he’s amazing. Kind, loving, patient supportive and all around wonderful to Reagan. they are going strong life is good for both when Ian has a family emergency and Reagan overthinks things. Her overthinking is proven wrong by the wonderful Ian though. They face many challenges as a couple and alone. Reagan tackles her insecurity and becomes a stronger person. She is there for Ian when he needs her the most. Ian tackles his family issues and his future. His surprise at the end was beautiful. These two belong together with how kind, loving and supportive they are to each other. They give each other strength and courage. There are some hysterical one liners and zingers and the story flows nicely. The love between these two is so beautiful to see and will have you smile throughout as you read how they are separated and deal with different issues.a wonderful fun love story that will have you smile and looking forward to the next chapter in their romance.

So after a misunderstanding is cleared up, Ian and Reagan begin their relationship again, taking it slowly, both of whom are determined to make it work.Though life gets in the way. Ian's father is gravely ill and so Ian quits college and heads home, but promises Reagan that things will be fine between them.Meanwhile, Reagan realises that she will need to get work in order to take care of her living expenses leading up to graduation. After one dodgy employment experience, Reagan gets herself the ideal job to compliment her studies...however it comes at a cost.Between the long distance relationship, work colleague from hell and everything else in between...can Ian and Reagan really make it work? DO either of them have the energy to finish what they started? As always, a fantastic story that has just enough passion, angst and love to keep you intrigued to the very last page!!!

This book was a great fast read of best friends. Although I did not read the first book I still understood what this one was about. Reagan and Ian are best of friends decide to give their romance a chance to blossom into a beautiful relationship while in College. Reagan decides to try her hand at getting a job and that didn't pan out too well ,So then she takes an internship and walks into a trap so to speak. As if life couldn't throw her another curve ball she gets to work with Isabella the girl who tried to seduce Ian. Ian was having a hard time as he had just left for home after finding out that his father was ill and in the hospital. It was hard at times on Reagan just starting a real relationship with Ian and not being able to be close to him. All in all they rekindle their relationship and it turns out to beautiful. This book was sweet with a great bit of clean romance.

Wow, I really loved this book, it felt like it went quick, but all the story was didn't drag on for you to get to the story. Reagan and Ian seem to work out their kinks and things fall into place. I love that you get to read this as a follow on from The Boyfriend List, but I also like for someone like me who sometimes picks up a book not realising there is a Prequel you can catch on.I really love knowing that this story is left open for another book if the author decides to. For those of you who are big readers you all know too well about those books that you can't put down and you stay up reading til midnight just so you can read those last fifty pages.. I am definitely one of those and I would add this book to that category.

~ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW~Sweet romance. Second in the series and I would recommend you read the first before reading this one. Well written and easy to follow. Very talented author!
