Only 2 stars. Won't be continuing this series I expect. So I thought this book was longer than the first Fated Mate Red Moon Pack 1 and it is slightly but the final 20% was actually a glimpse at the previous book. Yeah, the one that is book 1 and thus already thoroughly alluded to in this book. Which is still too short, choppily written and not very deep characters. I knew I should've just gone with the new Mary Calmes but I was trying to be good and draw out the anticipation, de yada yada. Wasted my time but now onto All Kinds of Tied Down so whatever.

3.75 starsThis second book in the series focuses on pack Alpha Noah and his true mate Mitchell. Noah was introduced in the first book (although this can be read as a standalone) as a man who believes nothing should come between true mates and he strongly supported the unheard of mating of his two male betas Isaiah and Ethan. The pack Elders set up a mating for Noah with Rachel, a female from another pack, under the guise of uniting the two packs. Noah is willing to go along with it for the sake of the pack and to avoid his younger brother being forced to step into the role of Alpha. However, when Noah realizes Rachel's brother Mitchell is actually his true mate, things get complicated. Neither Mitchell, nor Rachel, is willing to let Noah go and soon there is danger that threatens the entire Red Moon Pack.Again, this is a short book with a lot happening in it. I thought this one moved along better than the first story and I enjoyed Noah and Mitchell as a couple. The two have good chemistry and are likable characters. There are some minor editing issues, which as a self-published author, I could overlook as they did not pull me out of the story. I felt the writing was stronger in this second story and there is a clear path developing for the future stories.A copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ive never really read much of shape shifter books and this was a first. Also this was my first Gay Romance.I've not been exposed to Gay Romance and this book has been a bit of an eye opener. I've had stereotypes and this book has broken them. It bas only taught me that people who fall in love always deserve to have their HEA and that regardless of whether they belong to the same sex, they deserve to be loved.I was instantly attracted to Noah. He is a tough Alpha Male who isn't afraid to take tough decisions, which are qualities which everyone should have!! Also, I found the chemistry between Noah and Mitchell HOT HOT HOT!The end was awesome! I love endings which make me tear up and this one did!I would say, this book has opened me to reading more books in this genre and I am thankful for that.

A great story!Book two in the Red Moon Pack series, Destined Mate is the story of pack Alpha, Noah, and his very unexpected mate, Mitchell. Both men are caught by surprise when their mutual attraction flares. Do they forsake their mating and continue on their chosen paths or will the chance to find love change their lives forever? With engaging character dialog and a suspenseful story line, this can be read as a stand alone book, but the reading experience is enhanced when the series is read in order, due to returning characters from book one, especially Ethan and Isaiah!Another entertaining paranormal romance from Vanessa Sims, this sexy novella length story is the perfect way to read away an afternoon!

Reviewer: LucyGenre: MM Paranormal3 HeartsSee Review Here: Hearts On Fire ReviewsFacebook link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hearts...Review: I have to say I was a little disappointed in Noah in the beginning of this book. He was so strong, Alpha and sure of himself in the first book but then caves to the Elders when it comes to himself. Come on, man! He’s bad ass when dealing with Veronica in the beginning. When Isaiah and Ethan turn out to be true mates (book one) Noah is very supportive and lets his pack know that mating is sacred and bigots are not welcome. Obviously, this doesn’t go over well with some of the bigots, who happen to be some of the Elders. They decree for the “good of the pack” Noah must take a female from a neighboring pack, Rachel, as his Alpha female in order to unite the pack. He is very strong and clear about his displeasure, letting them know that he would do it, if only for his brother (who is not ready to be Alpha) but that if he ever finds his true mate there will be no peace in the packExcept… three days later he does find his true mate, Rachel’s brother, Mitchell, and he hurts Mitchell rather than deal with the Elders. I didn’t understand that, because it’s only three days later and he’s found what he’s dreamed of!For his part, Mitchell knows they are mates and just can’t understand why Noah is pushing him away. So sad for him. Luckily, Noah gets a grip eventually and figures out what he has to do and he knows he was wrong. “I preached to my pack that mates are sacred and I was about to let the most sacred person walk away.” Good for you, Noah! It’s never that easy, though, and they have to face the disapproving Elders and a seriously insane Rachel. I did question, why was she friends with a Hunter? And I definitely didn’t want Noah to put talking to the pack and Elders and family as something he had to do before claiming Mitchell. He’s Alpha! I felt bad for Mitchell, trouble with his mate and then Rachel, poor baby. There are edit issues in the story and sometimes it did pull me out of the story. Storywise, it’s a nice addition to the Red Moon Pack series.

Noah was very accepting of Ethan and Isaiah. If only he could have a male mate... but he is Alpha. :-( So, if he can't find his destine mate, he could at least mate with a female of another pack, to help bring an alliance. He isn't thrilled with the idea. But he doesn't want to pass the responsibilities off to his brother. The elders have chosen his mate, they aren't a fan of Noah. The elders are against his decision about keeping and acknowledging Ethan and Isaiah. All is well until his arranged mate shows up. He meets her brother, his true mate. Sexy and all male. So... he runs. He knows Mitchell is his mate, but he feels conflicted. Accept Mitchell and put his pack in risk or deny him and accept his sister. Well, it isn't long before... he makes his decision. A decision that doesn't make everyone happy. Noah is determined to make it work. Michell's sister...not a good person. She is perfect for the Elders though, just the type of person they want. She is determined to make Noah hers. She won't let anyone get in the way, and doesn't give a damn who she endangers to get her way.Well, this story is good. I was happy to read that Noah found his man. I liked him in book 1. Now we have the hunters on their tails now.

Noah has been ordered to take a mate of their choosing, but ends up mated to Mitchell and now they are having challenge after challenge thrown at them in this thrilling m/m paranormal romance.Noah stood by Ethan and Isaiah when they mated and now the elders are trying to make his life hell by forcing a mating with Mitchell’s sister but Noah’s true mate is Mitchell and he can’t let him go. The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the emotional turmoil and challenges that Noah and Mitchell face when they confront the pack and the elders with their mating. The characters are strong and compelling and captivate the reader ensuring they want to know the whole story. There is never a dull moment as the elders cause lots of excitement in the pack but also because of several attempts on Mitchell’s life. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination while the well orchestrated suspense and action draw the reader into this fast paced and smooth flowing plot and I was completely caught up in the story from the very beginning and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Noah knew that the Elders were upset about his standing up for Ethan and Isaiah as mates but never in his wildest dreams did he think that they would allow their bigotry to force his hand at mating. However being Alpha he will do what is best for his pack so he agrees to the forced mating. Little do the Elders or Noah know that fate has other plans. When his soon to be mate and her brother show up in preparation for the mating ceremony things get interesting. For Noah finds that his wolf chooses his soon to be forced mate’s brother instead of her. He tries to fight it but Mitchell does not make it easy. Noah has a big choice ahead of him. Does he mate with who the Elders chose for him? Or does he follow his heart and lead his people by example? Does he stand up for his right to mate whom he truly desires and put action to words when he said that he supported same sex mating? How will his intended mate react to the fact that Noah’s wolf chooses her brother and not her? Will this be the end of Noah as Alpha? Or will the pack finally come to their senses?

I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the Red Moon Pack series.Noah is the alpha of the Red Moon Pack. After standing up for his best friends and pack betas Ethan and Isaiah when they mated he has made some enemies in his pack. The elders are determined to run things their way. In that endeavor they are forcing Noah to mate a female he doesn't know or want. Knowing that if he refuses his younger brother will be forced to take over as alpha he accepts his fate. What he didn't expect was that he would meet his real mate at the same time as his future bride. Now Noah has to make a decision... mate and marry a woman he does not want to appease the Elders or accept his real mate and damn the consequences.I liked that this is a direct continuation of book one. Its nice to see the characters that I came to like and admire have their own story. This series is definitely one to keep an eye out for!

Book: Destined Mate – Red Moon Pack #2Author: Vanessa SimsPublication Date: 6/29/2014Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 4 Stars REVIEW Well in this book Veronica gets what is coming to her. Noah however is deep in issues. The elders demand that he take a mate and she will be coming from a neighboring pack. When the woman who is to become Noah’s mate arrives he has a scent attack his nose but its not from her oh no. Who is it that smells that delicious? This book was a bit better than book 1 and a little bit longer. And its mostly about the Alpha Noah. It’s a bit of action and a lot of loving. M/M Situations I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review Destined Mate

Nothing special here. This was a short novel about two male wolf shifters who find themselves mated to one another. A cliche that's been done to death to say the least. The author did not bother to put a different spin on the premise nor did she bother to proof read her novel either. Spoiler ahead...One thing I hate about these formula MM romances is that women almost always get portrayed as psycho bitches or are just plain non existent. The fact that these books are largely written for women by women gives me chills. Is this really how women think of one another? No wonder society so messed up...To sum up, there is plenty of pointless "claiming" sex, a shallow female villain, and not much plot.

A Hot SequelAlthough this novel picks right up where book 1 left off you do not have to read the first one to enjoy this hot story! After the previous story is nicely wrapped up you are thrown into a new adventure focused around the Red Moon Pack’s alpha male Noah and the complicated choices fate is forcing him to make.I found this story just as enjoyable as the first. It moves along quickly with even more action, danger and betrayal for the members of the Red Moon Pack who dare to love their mates. I really liked all the characters and enjoyed watching the relationship between Noah and Mitchell grow and mature. Warning - it’s a very sexy relationship, one that will turn on men and women alike! Look forward to more from this author!

3.5 starsI was gifted an arc by the author for an honest reviewhmmmm not sure what to tell about this story.First of all why do all the females go stirr @ssed crazy?I disliked the constant repet of names in times it became annoying. The story was ok....still it changes all we know about wolf packs.I mean i don't mind m/m action yet the Alpha would have to mate with a chick to have pups right?I mean the Alpha is gay (am tottally ok with it)The Betas are gay (still fine here)i don't know its strange having an Alpha being gay...at least i would expect a threesome out of an alpha.Still this story felt better that the first one.

Destiny will pick for youNoah the Alpha is still having to appease the elders due to a mating by his Betas who are two men. They’re going to force him to mate a female from another pack. When she arrives with her brother, Noah smells the sweetest scent but it’s not from the female but her brother. The elder real do make him fight for him position and the right to claim and keep his mate.

This was an interesting turn of events on a shifter book. The plot was interesting and the characters familiar. I think the story moved too fast even for a short story, but overall it was a good read.

This could have been good. But sadly, the writing style was unpolished and it was in bad need of editing. There were so many grammatical errors, it was hard to stay focused. Thankfully it was short.
