Now this is what I like to call epic cuteness!!! 4 heart-warming stars for this light awesome read! Read it in a couple of hours, since it's pretty short, but I enjoyed all of it and that ending left me wanting more <3 I discovered it like a month ago and the blurb instantly had me hooked. And after all the dramatic, steamy and overwhelming love stories I've recently read, this book was a much needed break :)If I Let You Go tells the story of Madison, a live-in nanny for five-year-old Tilly, Dominic Hartley's daughter. She had this job for three years now and Tilly means everything to her. But when one of Dominic's decisions is learned by Tilly and Madison, the whole situation changes, because mistakes with great outcomes will happen.“I focused, rather embarrassingly, on his chest which was rising and falling slowly. I left teeth marks!”Madison was awesome. I loved her right from the start. She has the guts and nerves to speak up and say her opinions and I adored her replies her replies. Her love for kids and her devotion for them was such a great thing about her and it made me respect her more.Dominic on the other hand... Yes, I know, he's hot and cute and nice and succesful and caring and... Well, you get the good boy/mom would approve picture. But he infuriated me A LOT and made me wanna slap him several times. Dude, come to your senses, please!!!The romance between these two evolves nicely and it's light, cute, awkward at some moments, but it was exactly what I was looking for.“It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair that I’d stumbled across the kind of man I used to find irresistible, or that he’d managed to stare right inside my brain to locate my weaknesses. The thrill of being wanted while pretending not to be interested was a game I’d played over and over during my youth. I’d grown up since then. I’d done more than my share of getting mixed up with men who were all ego and muscles, and he reminded me exactly why I’d given them up. Unfortunately, my body hadn’t got the memo yet.”Tilly is my favorite character. Her personality was adorable and for a five year old, she's really smart and easy to love. Her changing moods were so funny to follow! I guarantee you'll become a fan of this baby girl!Oh, and the change of scenery was very refreshing. We get to experience a bit of London, and since I love that city, this was also a good point for me :D The English accent and language were definitely my LOL moments, because I found myself cracking up quite much :))Overall, If I Let You Go is the best combination if you're looking for something sweet, light, short and funny! I recommend it to everyone <3ENJOY!<3You can also find this review here: http://raftul-cartilor-vampiresti.blo...

My Rating: 5 StarsCharacters: Madison- I really ended up liking her character a lot. She wasn't a push over and she wasn't overtly aggressive. She was a very nurturing and loveable character. Madison was the heart and soul of this novella along with Tilly. Dominic - I felt that his characterization was hurt because this was a novella. I did not hate or like his character much because he was mostly away on business. The moments that the reader got glimpses into his life and his family I loved. Tilly - Tilly was an adorable little girl that I fell in love with. I loved her interactions with Madison. Sensuality Rating: PG-13 - It is a pretty clean short romance novella with one scene that is a bit descriptive but nothing out of the ordinary. ^_^Re-readable: YesOther: I really enjoyed this novella. I really wished it was longer but it read like a full length novel. I usually steer clear of novella's because I always find them to be to short to tell a whole story. This one I found to be a gem. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride that the author took the reader on. It was a short, sweet romance that warmed my heart. Yes I know Tilly is a girl and not a boy but I thought this gif was too cute to pass up posting. ^_^

3.5 StarsIf I Let You Go was the first Kyra Lennon book I have read and I liked her writing style. The dialogue was real, the actions of the characters added to the story and I really enjoyed the POV of the heroine. I do not read a lot of book with children in them but Tilly was cute as a button; she added to the story and gave it a certain playfulness.I really fell in love with the heroine, Madison. She was incredibly kind but also had some spunk and was not at all afraid to speak her mind. She was a young woman who really had her head on straight but still enjoyed a occassional good time. What I loved most about her was her connection with Tilly, the five year-old she nannies for. She has an unbreakable bond with Tilly and seems to know exactly what she needs at all times. Without even realizing it, she has become a mother figure to Tilly and that is not a bond that is easily broken.Dominic is a workaholic who is trying to do the best he can for his daughter. Tilly’s mom left him when Tilly was very young and, though the book did not explore this as much as I wanted it to, I think this had a profound impact on his emotional state. I think he feels guilty that Tilly no longer has a mom in her life and is trying to compensate for it with monetary things. Another part of me thinks he doesn’t quite know how to cope with it all and chooses to be away from home. I could see his softer side around Tilly and his lighter side around Madison. He had so much to offer if he would just open up and live in his life outside the office.Dominic and Madison do not always get along. They are both very strong-willed individuals and both are trying to bury things they are feeling deep inside. This morphs into a few great fighting matches which did nothing more than build the already high sexual tension. I could say those you love are worth fighting for but in this case, it was more like those you love are worth fighting with. They were two people in denial and I waited and hoped that one or both would come to their senses. While I really enjoyed the story and the writing style, I wanted a little more. I wanted to know why Madison nannies for so long. I wanted to know more about her relationship history. I wanted to know more about the effects Dominic’s' failed marriage had on him. And I wanted to know more about the ending in general; I felt it ended rather abruptly. I can’t help but think that their may be a sequel and I kind of hope there will be!

Madison has been Tilly's nanny for three years, and she's grown to truly love the sweet little girl. Both their worlds crumble when they learn that Tilly's father, Dominic has a new job and is moving with his daughter to New York. Tilly breaks down and Dominic doesn't know how to deal with her. He relies on Madison for help, but she's struggling with her own heartache. And it's not only about losing Tilly. Can she let go of Dominic too?Kyra Lennon, author of Game On, has captured the reader once again with an incredibly well written tale of love, laughter, friends, and family. I found myself immediately fond of the little girl, Tilly. She's bright and playful, and her meltdown yanks at your heart. Madison is a strong protagonist, and the reader is easily caught up in her emotional turmoil. It's a tricky situation to be in having feelings for your boss, especially not knowing exactly where you stand. And speaking of bosses, Dominic is hot! One of the things I love about Kyra's books is that the characters are surrounded by friends and family. They don't go through anything alone. (It's one of my pet peeves when protagonists are totally isolated from people.)This is an amazing contemporary romance novella that makes you giggle, cry, and swoon. It has powerful cast of characters and a clean modern style. I highly recommend If I Let You Go to anyone who loves a good love story.

This was a cute short read that was a lot more emotional than I expected. The writing was very good and I'm assuming the 'slang' was great as well, but seeing as I'm not from London I didn't get some of it :) The story was great and I really liked the characters. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the way it ended. It was a hea of sorts but without the defined ending where we know without a doubt whats in store for the characters after the last page is turned. That being said, it was still a good ending, just not my favorite type of hea.

If I Let You Go was a sweet and easy read. What I truly appreciated about the story was that it did not follow the overused, romantic path that so many contemporary books do: the love-at-first-sight, head-over-heels for someone romance. The relationship between Maddi and Dom was more realistic. Rocky at times and not quick to develop. In fact, they had a whole backstory of knowing one another before the novella even began. I loved Maddi’s emotional connection with five-year-old Tilly. This is the first book I’ve read of Kyra Lennon’s, and I definitely enjoyed it.

Long enough to read over a few coffees on a Sunday morning.Story was good and certainly got the point across about parents or parent in this instant thinking that money is more important than time in a childs life. Thanks Kyra for making sure that Dominic, Madison & Tilly were all believable characters.

This novella is probably one of my favorites I've ever read. It was so sweet, and HELLO HOT! (I think I've read one particular scene way too many times ;)) Kyra does an excellent job of creating such amazing chemistry in so few words. Not only that, but there's a very sweet Father/daughter story as well. Love, love, love!

This book was short but I really liked it. The relationship between Madison and Tilly was so beautiful. It was really nice to see a single father trying to do everything he can for his daughter even he lost his way a little bit along the way.

Kyra Lennon once again does what she does best - creates real, believable characters you can relate to, that step off the page and into your circle of friends. From the get-go you can relate to Madison, as she brings Tilly home from school (with brilliant lines like "Anyone would think she’d just done a twelve hour shift at McDonald’s, not a day at school. Five years old, going on thirty."), tries to get ready for her boss Dominic's return, and then deals with the fallout from his bombshell that he and Tilly are moving to New York.Once again Lennon delivers a strong voice. Madison is an independent woman, with her own clear personality. Though that doesn't mean love interest Dominic is lost in the shuffle, he is equally as feisty, and the two go head-to-head.Where Lennon's writing really shines is through the relationship between Madison and Tilly. Tilly is your typical five-year-old; cheeky, cute and charming. Where some child characters cane come across as annoying, Lennon never crosses that line, and Tilly is a constant joy to read about. Her bond with Madison is mother-daughter-like, and utterly unbreakable. The love the two share is both heart-warming and very real to anyone who has a similar relationship with a child (be it as a parent, aunt or uncle, or something else.)Dominic is the perfect love interest. And by that I don't mean he is gorgeous without flaws. In fact, Dominic is very human. He cannot see how his choices are negatively affecting his daughter, and why the move to New York might not be good for her. As an obvious workaholic, he's also, at times, out of his depth with Tilly when she has a tantrum. But all these flaws only serve to make Dominic that much more likeable. When you couple that with the fact that he's intelligent, ambitious, caring and good looking, it's a hard combination to resist. As with her début release, Game On, Lennon peppers the story with wonderfully three-dimensional background characters, like Madison's tragically terminally single best friend Erica, to Dominic's warm and loving family. Another aspect Lennon does expertly is the romance. Never once do any of the intimate scenes between Dominic and Madison feel gratuitous. In fact, Lennon gets through a whole sensual scene without using words more explicit than breasts, yet you still know exactly what's going on, and it leaves your pulse racing. The plot is neither contrived nor drawn out. You're given enough that you know exactly what the characters' motivations are, even if you don't agree with them (Dominic I'm looking at you), without so much backstory that it bogs down the plot. The ending is satisfying without being predictable or cliché, and I finished with a warm and fuzzy feeling of well-being. If you're looking for a quick and easy read that still has depth, and relatable, realistic characters, If I Let You Go is the book for you. It's a contemporary romance that does everything right, and offers fantastic writing throughout.Kyra Lennon has proven once again why she's one to watch in the genre, and why her Game On sequel, Blindsided†, is so hotly anticipated. †Blindsided, Kyra Lennon's second full-length novel and sequel to Game On, is scheduled for release November 19th 2012. I was one of the lucky folks who won an ARC of Kyra Lennon’s debut novella, IF I LET YOU GO. I finished reading it about a week ago, and loved it! In my book (pun intended) this story had everything you could want: romance, humour and a steamy love scene. I loved the way the ‘accident’ between Madison and Dominic happened, and the awkwardness that immediately descended afterward. Kyra writes awkwardness really well, but she also does a mean job of writing steaminess. ;) I enjoyed her use of British slang throughout the novel. I also really appreciated that none of the characters were perfect, in fact far from it!This is definitely a story with a happily ever after ending, but more one that I think of has “happily ever after for now at least”. Personally, I’m a big fan of those kinds of endings, which are far less cheesy than the other kind. I guess you could say I’m not really into the whole “every single little end was tied up and they got married and she was preggers by the last line” endings. I like a more realistic (yet still romantic) ending. All in all, I thought this was a good great read! Kyra’s writing style is highly entertaining, and I really love her characters. I’ll leave you with some of my personal favourite quotes from this novella, which yes, I have already added to GoodReads:“Erica had asked me a million times. Madison, are you sure you’re just the child minder? He pays you a lot of money for doing hardly anything. Pushing aside the blatant insinuation that I was his weekend whore, I’d always told her the absolute truth. He’d never so much as looked at me inappropriately, let alone anything more.”“I focused, rather embarrassingly, on his chest which was rising and falling slowly. I left teeth marks!” “His jaw was set, telling me I should back off. Unfortunately, being a gobby cow meant I couldn’t.”

Madison has been caring for Tilly for three years and Tilly is about to be ripped from her fingers. She's grown to love the little girl as her own. Dominic thinks he knows what is right for his daughter, but he hasn't been listening since he's been obsessed with his career. He's about to find out what it means to finally raise his daughter. If he doesn't change his mind, it isn't going to be pleasant. The relationship between Madison and Dominic is steamy and intense. It's not cookie-cuter where a nanny has been in love with her employer for years. She hasn't. Madison even has steamy relations with Neil, the mysterious character I wanted to know a bit more about. I love that the two of them have real fights! They are passionate and Madison is not afraid to voice her opinions! She's a strong character and I really enjoyed reading about her.The story did need a little more depth - I wanted to know a bit more about Dominic and his past. The reader doesn't get a lot of background on Madison either and I'm not exactly sure how old she was. The whole book was written very well! The characters were fairly well-rounded and it was a book I couldn't put down! I started it and found myself staying up until early in the morning to finish! Also, I enjoyed Tilly's character - she's a spunky little girl and she knows what she wants. Very typical of a five-year-old!"If I Let You Go" is an entertaining story with passion, romance, and temper-tantrums on all sides. I would recommend this to others as a short and sweet, contemporary romance!

My heart is still pounding from reading this book because it was absolute perfection. This author in such a short period of time made me feel for these characters and her writing style made me laugh and just overall feel good. I loved it, every second of it and I wish there was more of it.Madison is the nanny for Dominic's five year old daughter Tilly. Tilly has never really known her mother and for the past couple years, all she's known is Madison. These are formative years as well, I know I have two little ones myself and they really do need that parent in their lives. The dynamic between the three of them was a strong one, and hen Dominic comes in and states that he and Tilly are moving to New York (mind you they are in a different country so it's a really big move). This of course upsets Tilly which in turn upsets Madison because now she's out of a job. There was so much passion in this book. I loved every character and ever sentence in this adventure of a story. The way things went with their semi issues, their heated passion and discussion, the temper tantrums couldn't have been any more calculated and perfect in telling this story. The author really makes me want to read more of her writings and I hope I get to in the future. Again even though this was a seriously quick read it had everything a good book needed and more because you actually fell for the characters and their situations. Amazing book!!

An endearing novella, IF I LET YOU GO by Kyra Lennon has a lot of heart. For three years, Madison Connor has taken care of and loved Dominic Hartley’s daughter Tilly. Dominic decides to move Tilly with him to New York, not thinking what it would do to Madison. She has to face life without a job, a purpose, and the people she’s grown to care about the most. She’ll have to find a way to move on, but can she let go?IF I LET YOU GO is such a touching story. Madison and Tilly’s relationship is wonderful. I love how Madison has become a mother to Tilly, even if she’s supposed to be just the nanny. Dominic’s drive to do all he can for his daughter is commendable, even if what she really needs him rather than items. Then, the intensity between Dominic and Madison sizzles and is so delicious. The reader cheers for them and hopes everything will work out. Lennon creates a realistic story that tugs on a reader’s heartstrings. With a fast-paced plot and relatable characters, Kyra Lennon’s IF I LET YOU GO is a must read.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed this story. I really liked the author's writing style and plan to read more of her books. I hope there is a sequel to this one. I emailed the author and asked her which also shows how much I liked the book. I don't bother contacting the author unless I liked the book. The book is short. I only picked it up so that I would have something to read before another book that I really want to read came out. My disappointment was that just when I was really enjoying the story, it ended and that it why I am giving it 4 stars. If I knew for sure there was a sequel, I would up the rating a star.I have to agree with a lot of other reviews that stated that it would be nice to read Dom's POV. I would re-read the entire book if it was only in his POV.Well written. I enjoyed the pace of the story and the characters. I hope Kyra Lennon brings us more of Madison, Dom and Tilly.

The touching story of a young woman in Great Britain hired by a desparate father to care for his toddler after his wife runs away with her lover and never returns. After learning he can trust Madison to care for his daughter Tilly, Dominic throws himself into his work. As the years pass, he works more and more hours away from home and Madison is Tilly only stability, her only safe haven. Then Dominic drops a bombshell.....he's transferring to New York in a few weeks and taking Tilly with him. The announcement is met with devastating reactions. As the weeks pass, he's forced to deal with the fallout of not only his transfer, but also his extended absences and how it's affected his relationship with his daughter.Told with incredible insight and emotion, this is definitely a keeper.

Synopsis: Madison is having a pretty awful few weeks. Her boss just dropped a bomb on her saying he's moving to New York..and taking his almost 6 year old daughter, Tilly, with him. Madison has been Tilly's caregiver for the past three years. Not to mention she's about to lose her house, not to mention her sanity. Prosecution: There were way too many exclamation points where there shouldn't have been. Overall, it made Madison sound more chipper than she was. Defense:FINALLY, an editor for an indie author that knows how to edit. I didn't find any misspelled words or unintentional sentence fragments. The story was uplifting, a little angsty, the flow was choppy at some points but overall worked well. To read my verdict, please go to From Bows to Books..♥!

*3 1/2 stars*I liked the characters of Madison, Tilly and Dominic. They had an interesting, familial dynamic that was sweet. I liked how Madison and Dominic were able to finally communicate with each other whether they were fighting or not. The fighting probably helped them to really see how they felt about each other and Tilly's situation. Nothing like a turn of events to send up sparks. I felt the passion between them. While certain aspects of their backstory were explored, I felt the characters and storyline still lacked a bit of depth that I would have liked to have seen and read more about (Tilly's mom, Dominic's work, Madison's education/degree and why she's a long-term nanny, etc). All in all a quick, easy, sweet read.

Madison has taken care of Dominic’s daughter, Tilly, for years since his wife is out of the picture. She’s alarmed when Dominic tells her that soon she'll lose her position because he’s moving to New York for his job. The news isn’t going well with Tilly and Madison is the only person who can calm her down. Madison and Dominic argue over the move and her role in their lives. Things become heated and feelings can’t be denied. Madison wonders if the two are meant to be with each other or if Dominic mainly sees her as a mother figure for Tilly. This was an interesting nanny-employer relationship without being sleazy in the least bit. The romance was both hot and sweet, and I loved Dominic and Madison’s devotion towards Tilly.

This novella makes for a great read, which is easy to get into and engaging from the word go. But like Lennon's other work it's no fluffy love story; there is a lot of substance here and strong emotion in the situations which the author puts across with aplomb, for example the deep bond between the protagonist, Madison and her employer's daughter Tilly. As other reviewers have said, this little girl almost steals the show! She is not irritating but very believable. I enjoyed spending time with and getting to know all the characters in the book. Dominic could be maddening, but I would not rate this as a minus point as I like characters who provoke a strong reaction. Lennon has done this as well as creating a heartwarming tale. Very well done!

The idea for this story came around - in part - in a dream. I let the idea stew thinking there just wasn't enough to make it into a full length novel, so maybe I just wouldn't write anything at all. But the idea wouldn't leave me alone - it kept nagging, demanding to be written.I weighed up my options again, but no matter how I looked at it, the only way to stretch the idea out was with long, pointless filler, so I chose to make it a novella. That way, I could keep it short and sweet!

What a fun, heartwarming, SEXAY story! Wow! :DI loved watching Maddi and Dominic's relationship change. Maddi is so sweet with Tilly (Dom's daughter), and at times I wanted to shake Dom and make him open his eyes!!!I also wanted to know more about Neil! He's totally Joe Manganiello in my head. (But Dom's still my new book boyfriend... ;o) The ending left me wanting a little more. *wink* A great read--don't miss this one!

This is a sweet, funny love story. Madison is a great main character, and Dominic is a refreshing leading man, in that he isn't the usual over-confident, pain in the backside that often appears in love stories. He's ordinary, and somehow still very sexy. It's only a novella, so it won't take long to read - but it's enjoyable every step of the way!

If I Let You Go, Y U so short? :(A captivating plot, great characters, believable dialog, well done word-building, and on top of that, even some steamy skin-on-skin action. It's no wonder I enjoyed this novella so much. I just wish it would have been longer.

A lovely romantic tale, with a little girl who almost steals the show from the adult characters. All of the characters are believable, including the slightly clueless single father Dominic. I was drawn into the story from the first page.
