Lucifer's Abbey: Raising the Devil Reviews
Set in Torquay, Agatha Christie's birthplace and upon Dartmoor this a really gripping occult thriller that commences during the fall of Jerusalem at the end of the third crusade and finishes in 2014. Part murder / detective story, part occult thriller it's truly gripping as a young heroine tries to avoid being sacrificed at an occult ceremony designed to allow Lucifer to break free of the underworld. The culmination of 800 years of evil pursuing God's greatest gift to mankind. The choice of Torre Abbey and Kents Cavern, two places of meaningful historic significance as the background locations for this fast paced story was clever and so is the plot throughout. There are two sensitive love stories neatly interwoven with the occult theme and some really clever use of local places. It's a fine story from the English West country and the scenes upon Dartmoor are truly memorable.Dan Brown fans will devour this and come back for more so the news that a sequel is due release in May 2017 was very welcome too!
