Loved. Loved. LOVED this book! This is the first instalment of what I am anticipating to be an amazing trilogy. This book gripped me from the start and I devoured it all in one sitting. There was no way I could have put the book down in any one place without needing to know what happened next. What I enjoyed most about this book was the suspense, I also loved getting to know the characters, their relationships with each other and how they coped with having to make difficult decisions in life or death situations. I felt myself really connecting with them throughout the story, the way the author has written this book made me truly feel like I was there with them.I CAN'T WAIT for the next book in this trilogy.Favourite quote:They stared in opened mouthed awe at the space. They had grown used to seeing no more than twenty or thirty feet in the bunker and now it was as if they could see the whole universe. Arvid’s face seemed to glow in the light, his pale skin wrinkled across his brow as he stared in wonder at the sky. All followed his gaze toward the sky as it boiled and rolled over their heads, and were overwhelmed by its life. Arvid had tried to imagine what it would be like outside a million times, but whatever images he had conjured in his head seemed tiny and inconsequential to this
I loved this book from beginning to end. From the first sentence it captures you up in the story line and introduces the characters quickly. From there you get to know the people and how they react to the things happening around them. It is fast paced and exciting from start to finish and I can not wait to read the next installment!
