Finished it. Loved it. Am not a happy camper because there's another book in the series and I have to wait. I really want Naomi to rip Justus' spine out of his back. Warning: this series is VERY dark. There are some disturbing themes. Once more, this is NOT one of those shiny, happy vampire novels. And if you're looking for hot M/M action, well, look elsewhere. The tension's so thick between Raiden and Gabriel that even the bit of "fun" they had did nothing to ratchet the level down. Great stuff but it's a yet-to-be-completed series.

Wow. That pretty much sums it up. Need a hot shower to wash away the gore, & then a cold one to bring my body temperature back down to normal. Read this book in one sitting. The first 2 books, which were also great, did a solid job establishing the twisted co-dependency between Raiden & Gabriel. This book took things to a new level of tension by amping up the violence, eroticism, & action between them.Poor Naomi. She experiences so much torture at the hands of the super-powerful, soulless Justus. Still, I have hope that she'll eventually get her revenge. Justus is one of the most evil characters I've read, but he definitely has a sense of humor. That's one if the things I like the best about Naomi -there is a crazy amount of darkness, but the undercurrent of humor is always there to keep it from being all doom-and-gloom.A very quick & satisfying read. Gotta get ahold of Book 4 when it releases!
