Samantha thinks of herself as human, ordinary, and a little too full around the hips—a super cute look for a future chef, if you ask her. And she’s sort of right, except about being ordinary…oh…and human. She also won’t be full around the hips for very long, not with the inevitable metamorphosis coming her way. In her oblivious existence, all she can think about is going to culinary school, away from her uncaring, bordering-on-hateful parents. But all that is about to change when Greg—an otherworldly, amazing-looking guy—saves her from an unexpected magical attempt on her life and informs her that he is her Keeper, compelled to protect her even at the cost of his own life. Oh, and by the way, that she isn’t human, after all. The attempts on her life become commonplace and secrets and threats from a dark, forgotten past reveal themselves and send her life into turmoil. As Samantha tries to come to terms with this new reality, she must rediscover herself and face the possibility of being the key to the survival of a dying race....

Keeper, Vol. 2 Reviews
This series just keeps getting better and better! The first volume did an excellent job of presenting the characters and the concept of the Morphids, and volume 2 expanded more on it and jumped right into the action. I felt like I was holding my breath during certain parts because they were so intense and well-written! And the cliffhanger, WOW! It's going to be really hard to wait patiently for the next installment in this series! Kudos once again to Ingrid Seymour!
Absolutely loved this book!!!Ingrid captures your attention within the first few pages and she lets you get to know the characters a lot more than the first book and the cliffhanger is amazing!Read this book!!!
Ok. What can I say? WOW!!This is better than the first one. There is action and you have the opportunity to know and understand better the character. Greg and Sam are the main characters in this book, but Ashby, Perry and the others are still there.Like every series, the first is where the author introduce the story and he character. The second is where there is action, you have the opportunity to know better the characters and their choices and you can say who is your favorite characters or who you hate. The third is where almost everything is solved and there is still action. The forth book is the conclusive book. And the end. I don't want to tell you anything, don't worry, but, I can assure you, you want to read the third and fourth book. I want the third NOW!!!! Ingrid is a wonderful author and she is able to create wonderful character and amazing location. Now, READ THESE BOOKS!!!!!
**I received an e-arc in exchange for an honest and fair review.**The second volume was even better than the first. I was able to meet all of the important characters and truly connect with them, some of my initial questions were answered (and others arose with mounting suspense!), and I was blown away by the worldbuilding. When I first start a book, if the world is built well with just a few details, it's great. But sometimes I find myself disappointed in the 2nd quarter because the initially fantastic (or at least average) building starts to unravel or lose its spark. Not so with Keeper! Seymour's ability to maintain her *urban* sci-fi/fantasy world is commendable. My favorite part about this volume was connecting to the characters--I sympathized with their plights and cheered for them in their struggles.Because I read the omnibus version, I'm going to be posting a full review on that one. Check it out if you're interested :)
This series keeps getting better. In the first volume we start to know the main characters and their story, now we understand better their lives, their choices and also that the fate will always guide them. I'm in love with all the characters, not only the main ones but also the secondary ones especially because Ingrid has a way to connect you with them and their stories that is really amazing!! This book has more action then the first and add other figures in the scene. I really can't wait to continue this series because it's really beautiful and well written.
I hope you enjoy Keeper Volume 2, the same I enjoyed developing the Morphid concept :)
Wow. Talk about a cliffhanger at the end. OMG! I am so taken by this story that I can't wait for vol 3 to come out. This volume was full of action and I can see why the author took her time to build the characters in vol 1. I am completely vested in them. I feel like I know them. So far I've found nothing predictable about Keeper, and that's what I like most about it. It is so unique I can't even begin to imagine what comes next. Please give me more!
