She still feels strongly about needless death and those left behind, so when she sees a call for photographs for a calendar of topless men, with profits going to the Hero Family Fund, she’s eager to help out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know any men that fit the profile, so she gives up on the idea. That is, until Patrick Brogan—her late fiance’s brother—turns up in New York. Since this was written by Lucy, I was expecting a sexy romp through a fun theme of shooting a sexy guy for a calendar. What I got instead was a story of love lost and new beginnings. It was at times frustrating, nerve wrecking and bittersweet as I followed Melodie's journey through coming to terms with the loss of her first love and finding herself attracted to her dead fiance's brother. Lucy did a wonderful job of conveying the gamut of emotions that Melodie went through as she dealt with her confusion over her attraction to Patrick and her often rather irrational outbursts as she tried to deal with her feelings of attraction and guilt. This short story was well done.

This is a very touching story about loss, grief and love. How do you survive the loss of a loved one? Is it possible to move on and love again? And what if your new love is the brother of the fiance you lost?Melodie and Patrick are the characters who take us on this journey. They are sympathetic and I found myself rooting for them.Although this is essentially an emotional story there are still moments of light hearted fun and one liners.I loved this book!ARC provided by the author in return for an honest review.

Sarah's Review:Thank you to Decadent Publishing, Joanne Kenrick and Lucy Felthouse for creating this amazing series and the opportunity to have a new book boyfriend each month! I was hooked right from the beginning and wanted to feature these great stories each month and thankfully Decadent Publishing was on board! As soon as I saw the cover for this story, I knew there were be a sad story as part of the overall story. Then I read the blurb and knew that I needed to read this. Right from the beginning I like Melodie's character. Her loyalty to her deceased fiance is something that is admirable. When Melodie has a surprise visitor in the form of Patrick Brogan, her late fiance's brother, all that Melodie has become used to gets flipped upside down. Since this is a short book, I am not going to say much else, but it is a great story about love conquering in death. At least, that is my take on it.

The Other Brother by Lucy FelthouseThis is the Mr. June story in the Calendar Men series.Looks like I may have to get the rest of the stories after reading this one. Yummy!Melodie has had a rough past couple of years due to loosing her fiancé in the war. She has moved away from her family and friends so she really doesn’t have anyone to lean on. Then one day out of the blue she gets a surprise visitor. Patrick is the brother of her fiancé that she hasn’t seen since the funeral. What she didn’t expect was the hunk of meat standing in her doorway while she looked like what a cat would drag in. She feels bad that she finds him so attractive so she does everything she can to try to push him away. Do you think she will actually be successful or will she succumb to his piercing green eyes? I received this book as a gift from the author.

This was a great story about loss, grieving, and finding love in the most unsuspecting place. When you promise the one you love that you will find happiness if something happened to him... do you really do that? What happens when you finally find a guy who you want to be with, and it happens to be his brother? You should really pick this book up .. read it in one sitting!
