2.75 ~ 3 Sparkle Stars ”I don’t want to be that girl, though. You know, the kind who fell for a celebrity simply because he was too hot to resist in real life.”Madison and Walker’s story was a complete cliché to me. I pretty much rolled my eyes the entire read. They meet at his concert, Walker brings Madison on stage, the boss threatens her to sign Walker or be fired and the big reveal…LAME. ”You don’t remember being here with me before?”Overall, this was a fast read with a rock star that I didn't find very dreamy or sexy. Within a few pages it’s sealed with a hea and that's pretty much the whole story besides throwing in a cute bff in the mix.

Last night, I felt like picking a random book and just doing a quick in-between, easy read. Something I didn't have to think too hard about, take notes on, or analyze. Musician books are one of my favorite tropes, so I gave this a shot. Frankly, this was seriously OTT cheese for me, and I found myself rolling my eyes too many times to count. Maybe I would have appreciated this book in my teens, but it appears I am too cynical for something like this now. The twist towards the end was supposed to be angsty, and that arrow flew way over the target and disappeared. (view spoiler)[The hero is shockingly *gasp* her first love whom she separated from and never heard from again. Their original relationship had teenage puppy love written all over it, with nothing substantial to make me feel as if their years apart yearning for the love they lost were remotely warranted. Through a couple of short, meaningless flashbacks, we see the two of them flirting together and then saying goodbye for the last time. This did absolutely nothing for me. And the fact that she had been so desperately in love should have clued her in that Walker was her first love. But apparently, her memories were foggy, because even though he recognized her in the concert crowd immediately, she had no clue who he was. (hide spoiler)]The heroine was a shrew towards the hero repeatedly and it really irritated me. The first time, simply because he asked for her phone number after he serenaded her on stage at his concert. She was immediately disgusted by his interest to talk to her further, strangely jumping to the conclusion that this was devaluing their "electric moment" on stage. After he hunts her down anyway and blows up her phone, she has zero intention of calling him back. That is, until her boss threatens to fire her unless she dates him and gets him to hire the talent agency they work for. Not only did she agree to treating the hero to a fake date, she was argumentative and rude the entire date, ending it by telling him that she was only there because she was forced. Nice. After that revelation, he ordered her out of his sight, (rightly so) but then bizarrely runs after her to apologize (What??) What in the world did he have to apologize for? Being deceived and treated shoddily? The hero was completely infatuated and pursuing her for the entire book, which never made sense to me at all. He was already in the insta-love, obsessed zone right from the minute they connected and it was pure silliness. (view spoiler)[ I get that he thought he was in love with her because of their history, but they are grown adults now. Not fourteen year old kids. You can't love someone based on a superficial teenage summer romance. (hide spoiler)]Maybe this will work for others, but for me, I'm just surprised that I was able to finish.

Short sweet read. I would have loved for it to be a bit longer. That's just a personal preference of mine. I always say this after reading a novella type book. I feel we never get the whole depth of their characters in a short book. Over all it was pretty good and I'll continue the series, but I wish they were full books that didn't feel rushed.

I didn't actually liked this very much, I can't even tell why it was exactly..Even though it was quite a good and special story, but still maybe the writing?I'm sorry for the sh*tty review but I have a bad day and so is my review apparently..

This is the type of story that I refer to as a quick & lazy fun-to-read filler. There's not much depth to either the characters or story. Here we get the second chance at love trope but it's not really even that because these two meet when they were 14 and 15 on a beach in Malibu and, if you believe the storyline, they fell madly in love. Summer ends and they part ways promising to stay in touch. Because you need a little angst and misery to keep moving forward so throw in the fact that things happen and it's ten years later before they meet up again. Now he's a major league rock star and she's working for a talent agency. The whole book seemed to be one insta-love magic show. It's cute, the character are among the beautiful people, and readers get a happily ever after. This is a new series but each book ends with a complete storyline.

I love romance! I read the whole spectrum of the genre from YA to erotica. I love dark, angsty, dramatic reads that take me out of my comfort zone. But there are times when the old ticker just needs to feel the love with some low level drama and lots of sweet. That's exactly what this book was for me and it was absolutely perfect. It was such an easy read I almost finished it in one setting. It was so yummy sweet I thought I should schedule a dentist appoint just to check for cavities. And I loved every delicious minute of it! When you're reading a book with a goofy grin on your face from 12:30-2:30AM something has got to be right. Walker and Madison's story just flows off the pages and to not fall head over heals for Walker Rhodes the instant you meet him is an absolute sin! The swoon just oozes from him with every gesture and every word spoken. Seriously, smitten within minutes! And Madison is such a lovable female character (not something we can say about many heroines) that your heart just melts when her and Walker find there way to one another. So if you are looking for that perfect book to piece your heart back together and ease your anxiety level and make reading a book relaxing again then search no more! Grab this little slice of heaven and enjoy!

3 ☆☆☆ Seeing Stars for this one.I loved The Perfect Game Series, so when J Sterling said she was writing a book about a rock star I jumped up and down. This is an adorable story. Simple. No drama. Just the kind of story you read at the beach with a nice piña colada. I like Madison. I Love Walker. What I didn't like was that the story was short and some things could have been managed and explained much better with a long story.

2.5... This book was just too unbelievable. The writing wasgood, but I CAN'T believe this is the same author that wroteabout Jack Carter. The story was too short and I had no connectionto any of the characters.

Sweet. Romantic. Heartwarming.I enjoyed every second of this fast-paced, feel-good book!!!Ahhhh!!! What a wonderful book! This is the kind of novel that gives you just a pinch of fairy-tale romance, a dab of sexiness, a twist of angst and a whole lot of heart-warming moments to leave you reveling in a feel-good high. It was a quick read I devoured in a single sitting, reading through it with a smile plastered on my face. And it all starts with one sexy rocker seducing the crowd with warm hazel eyes and beautiful lyrics that hit you square in your chest."If you took one smidgeon of allure, mixed it with two dashes of handsome, tossed in a devilish grin and eyes that could stop wars, you'd have Walker Rhodes."When Madison Myers gets coaxed into attending a concert with her best friend and roommate she didn't put up too much of a fight. She loved Walker Rhodes and seats in row three were difficult to resist. Little did she know however, that she would catch his much sought-after gaze from atop the stage. She was used to being around celebrities and as a talent agent, she knew how to keep her cool, but something about Walker's focused gaze unsettled her ... pierced right through her. Then the world truly tilted on its axis when he brought her on stage and melted her to goo when he sung his lyrics directly to her. But it wasn't until he whispered in her ear and asked for her number that reality slammed into her chest. No way. Her stupor shattered. She was not about to get in line behind a long list of women at Walker's side, night after night. Despite seeing stars when their eyes collided, she wasn't blind to what was happening."Walker was the kind of guy who went out with a different girl every night. And those were not merely rumors. I'd seen the pictures. Plus guys like him were on my Do Not Date list. At the very top."Madison, however, didn't get much of a chance to process what happened and lock those entrancing moments away inside to forget, because Walker found her quickly and wasn't about to let her go. Despite the feelings that surged inside of Madison... a mixture of confusion and desire and familiarity and excitement ... she's intent on standing her ground. But when a situation forces her to see him once more, she can't help but turn to mush yet again."I need to kiss you. Not want. Need. And I'm going to do it again, right now. So don't stop me."What ensues is a lovely, heartfelt story about your past colliding with your future. About embracing the serendipitous moments that fate unexpectedly throws our way. If you're looking for a fast-paced read that will literally leave you feeling happy and warm, pick this book up without a second's thought! This is the first book in the Celebrity series, the second book, Catching Stars, will feature a supporting character in this book, celebrity Paige Lockwood.

OMG, mad love this book after reading it finishwithin a few hours without stopping.the famous Walker meets... Sparkles aka Madison!I love how Walker singles Madison out and showed interest in her specifically during his concert like gosh!Just like Madison,i didn't expect there's a story behind Walker'sreason of asking her out specifically. When the truth unfolds,i was likeWITMFF? HAHAHA, it was cute really. But i did felt Madison's pain when (view spoiler)[She couldn't reach Scott and left numerous voice mails behind and the songs written about their summer was touching!!!(hide spoiler)]I like Madison's best friend and roommate, Keri. She's funny!& i hate Jayson, that pigheaded asshole should just get firedfrom his agency. I am so glad Madison wasn't the sort of girl who get pusharound , who will listen to such ridiculous instructions! Love out beats career, hell yeah babe! And also...I wished the story could be longer though!!!When i finished the last page of the book, i couldn'tbelieve it ended that quick. Not that it's fast pace, but it would be cool if it's longer a bit more, couldn't get enough of Walker andMadison!!! I look forward to the next book of the series, Paige's story!!She's like a really sweet girl and omg, please let the storybe a bit longer!!! :)x["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

So for one of the challenges I have for this year is to read books based on rockers/music genre. Now as I had to find books that I liked and wouldn't scare me off the genre with some of the books I looked into I was put off a bit and maybe I wasn't going into it with an open mind. But this book was the right one to dip my toes into the genre.Madison lives in LA and has always wanted to work in the Entertainment Industry. She lives with her BF Keri and they're off to a Walker Rhodes concert where the magic begins. Madison gets called on stage by Walker and sparks fly. This book was down to earth and such a sweet read that I had it finished in no time. I don't want to give away the story as it is lovely and Walker Rhodes is a keeper. I also liked that Ms. Sterling didn't paint the Industry as if it is perfect that there are characters that don't act with morals and integrity and that Madison had an ethical side to her and even gave up her job by doing the right thing.

The first in a duology called Celebrity. Seeing Stars is a short little romance about Madison, an assistant at an L.A. talent agency, and Walker Rhodes, a rockstar. This story was short, sexy, and sweet. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. I just wish it was longer because there isn't much to say without spoiling the whole plot. I hope to read the next one soon.

Where's the story? This book was ridiculous. No character development and a barely there story that read like a 12 year old's fantasies about her favorite pop star. Don't bother.

This book was horrible, I'm giving up on this writer. the characters are flat, the dialog cheesy, instant love with stupid plot. My eyes hurt from eye rolling. The one star is for the cover.

Who needs a feel good read? This is for you! Most books take you on a journey that feels like a rollercoaster or a very hilly ride. It was so refreshing to read Seeing Stars and the ride just continue to build and build to an incredible happy place. I read it in less than a day and felt so good when I finished it. The lead characters are not without their flaws or hard times but the way the story and characters develop you experience all the good feels without having to go through a relationship that falls apart and makes you choke on snot while hiding to ugly cry. Though I enjoy books that bring me those emotions as well God knows we can all use a little unadulterated bliss. This is just what I needed last night.

Fast read. Fast paced. Overall a great book.Although the love story between Madison and Walker was a bit cliché, who can resist the story behind first loves? I wish the story was a little longer, but like I said; fast paced and a fast read. I even wanted a little more so my heartstrings would get tugged on a bit more as well. But all in all, I enjoyed this book; I can't wait for Paige's story in the next book.

Well what can I say other than swoon. Oh yes J.Sterling has done it again. Walker was so sweet from the moment he came in to the book, and it is a real sweet story. This is only a short story, but it is still full of all the swoon worthy things that are in all her books. You must read it, and you will fall for Walker just like you did Jack:)

You know how you get all dressed up to go and see your favourite singer at a live concert? You spend extra time choosing the right outfit, applying glamour make up and making your hair look cute. Why do we do this? Do we really think this famous hot singer is going to stop mid song, point at you and say ‘there you are, the girl I’ve been waiting for to make my life complete.’ Don’t laugh because that pretty much happens to Madison when she goes to see Walker Rhodes in concert with her bestie Keri. Madison is the lucky girl to be plucked out of the audience for a part of the show that involves Walker singing to a girl. There is this amazing connection between them that they both feel and the audience sees. Madison feels some familiarity when their eyes meet but dismisses it quickly, she works in the entertainment industry and has seen his face in the tabloids a lot.She is surprised the next day to find that Walker Rhodes is actively pursuing her and can’t understand why he wants to talk to her, she is no one special…This was a really sweet, lighthearted story and I loved it.I give this 4 sparkle stars.Reviewer at Reality Bites! Amazon: a cute quick read. I really enjoyed this one by J. Sterling. It was enjoyable and I will definitely be reading the next book in this series. Listen up, there is NOT a cliff-hanger (I know you will like to hear that) and it sounds like we will be meeting many more celebrities created in this world of J. Sterling.Walker Rhodes…. He is ummmm Yummy… he certainly has his appeal and I for one would certainly be a fangirl. Madison (a/k/a Sparkles… you’ll see) is a strong-willed female with a backbone in a cut-throat business – I wanted to join in and give her a high five or a fist bump at a certain part of this book.Sometimes you just want and need to change the pace of the books you read. This book was NOT heavy, over-the-top, did not have dominating sex and was not a big tear-jerker, all of which seems to be my trend in reading lately and it is really refreshing to be able to just read and enjoy the sweet ride with Seeing Stars.

This was a pretty cute book. It was definitely one of those books where you knew none of what happened could ever happen in real life, but it made for a quick entertaining read.Walker Rhodes is the cliché hot bad boy rocker and seems to be the manwhore that the tabloids make him out to be. He spots Madison during one of his concerts, and pulls her up on stage and sings to her.Madison is an assistant to a talent agent in LA. Her best friend drags her to the Walker Rhodes concert and that's where she meets Walker. She doesn't like him at first, but then he grows on her and she pretty much falls in insta-love with him after a day.Enter the plot twist, which was pretty cute and why I liked the book so much. I won't give anything away. All in all this was a good book if you want to read a quick romance with not much to think about. No big issues to work through or deal with. I like my romances with a little more meat to the story and more character development

I love Jenn’s books- they are always great. Seeing Stars is a fast, fun, flirty read. It’s a sweet story with very little drama and a little bit of sex. Walker is a hot, sexy famous singer. One night while singing at his concert he spots Madison in the audience. Their relationship starts out on the wrong foot but it turns into something sweet and I loved where it went. They are both adorable. Without giving the story away, I will say there is a twist in the story that adds to its charm. My only problem with the story is that I felt it was too short. I didn’t want it to end! I want to more about Walker and Madison’s story. I am definitely looking forward to reading Paige’s story in the next book in the series but I do hope we hear more about Walker and Madison too.For more reviews go to

This was a cute, quirky, light romance read about a girl in the talent business being thrust into the spotlight when she is pulled on stage by mega superstar singer Walker Rhodes where she is attending his concert with her best friend. This is a short book so I read it all in one setting. I loved Walker. He was persistent, bossy, and down right loveable. Madison was sweet but she had her own defenses up. She has a no celebrity rule about dating because of the industry she works in but she can't stop the magnetic pull to Walker. I don't want to spoil anything but there is a HUGE surprise I didn't see coming. I look forward to the next book in the series and I hope that Madison's BFF gets her own book at some point!

The story is way too short and I can’t get enough of Madison and Walker. There is not much in the story of ‘Seeing Stars’; however, things that made it stand out and kept you reading is the characters itself. I thought for such a short story characters were beautifully craft which made you grow to love them every turning page. With that it would made you feel like these when you read:1. You would kept asking yourself where you could find Walker in real life … rock star with boyfriend material.2. ENVIED Madison and wanted to be her.3. You would kept asking yourself where you could find Walker in real life … rock star with boyfriend material.4. ENVIED Madison and wanted to be her.You understood my point, right? All in all, good book … good read … you’d try it.
