This was my first book written by Pamela Aares, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the talent that she displayed through out her story. The descriptions of the scenes were very thorough, to the point where I could feel the breeze on my face as I read. I love it when an author can paint such a clear picture that it is as if you are right there. Also, I couldn't help but get the feeling that she must have put a lot of effort into finding out the facts on how a baseball team worked, and basically all of the ins and outs of baseball as a sport. I found Ms. Aares writing style to be very similar to the wonderful Nora Roberts. Thrown by Love is book two in the Heart of the Game series, and tells of the romance between Scotty Donovan and Chloe McNalley. This is a relationship that from the start has its challenges. The main one being that Chloe has just inherited a baseball team, and it happens to be the one that Scotty just got traded to as their star pitcher. For obvious reasons the couple can not go around flaunting their attraction for one another, so begins a journey of them fighting their attraction for one another. As with most romance couples, this rarely works and sparks ignite whenever these two are together. Eventually they throw caution to the wind, and begin a secret affair. There is someone though that is willing to sabotage what they have, and suddenly there is blackmail involved. The baseball team means everything to Chloe, and of course; Scotty's career is important to him. Will these two ever be able to find their happy ever after??Again, this was a well written story of two people who deserve to find love. My only complaint would be a personal one, and that is that I found it a little too descriptive at times. It is nice to understand the workings of how baseball is played and such; but when I am reading a romance book I prefer to have more romance rather than a ton of inforomation. Also, I felt that a large part of the story had the couple being a part. I like to read a love story with the couple being present together for a large part of the book. These are just my preferences, and I feel that for some this book will be exactly what they want in their romance. Would I read another book written by Pamela Aares? Absolutely, as I do feel she has an amazing ability to write a very clear scene. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to read and review this ARC for her! I also highly recommend this series to any readers who love Nora Roberts or Bella Andre.ARC was given to me by Author in exchange for an honest review. This book is set to be released on March 4,2014.

One kiss is enough to change lives forever.Baseball is Scotty Donovan’s life, after being traded from his beloved team he isn’t happy.Until Chloe…Chloe loves her teaching job but her heart lies in Baseball. After inheriting a team from her Father one of the players catches her eye……..Scotty.She falls hard, his love for baseball and his passion for the mysteries of the universe makes her realise that her heart will only ever belong to him. There is an unwritten rule that says players and management should never date, Chloe must now decide whether to follow her head or her heart, a decision that could threaten both her and Scotty personally and professionally.I was delighted to be asked to review this book, I knew it was going to be something special. After reviewing book 1 in this series I fell in love with the characters and was eagerly anticipating the next story.Chloe and Scotty fit perfectly together, these two characters are written so that as a reader we feel we’re on a journey with them. The fact that I am so drawn not only to the characters but also the game of Baseball has truly surprised me.Pamela Aares has a wonderful way in her writing of making the reader look at certain things in a whole new way. In book 1 I found myself becoming increasingly interested in marine life and Baseball, now in book 2 I find myself wanting to know more about astronomy and yes even more about Baseball. I accept any opportunity to learn about new things and these books have definitely put me in that direction. With every obstacle this couple faced in this story I was right there with them, I was laughing along with their playful dialog but also wiping away tears during the heart-breaking moments. If I could give one piece of advice when reading this book, it’s to remember to breathe. I held my breath an awful lot.It is a wonderful story, full of love, fun and tense moments. As a great romance should be.Once again I have fallen for Pamela’s characters and taken them to heart, I hope future readers will agree. I can’t wait till the next one.Copy Supplied For Review.

Well, Pamela Aares has done it again. Thrown By Love is another great sweet read with just enough drama and hotness. In my opinion, this book was even better than the first. The story was great and the characters fit right in perfectly. Tying in from the first book is Scotty Alex Tavonesi’s friend and teammate. Scotty Donovan is a pitcher and he has just been traded. The team he has been traded to is the one Chloe McNalley has just inherited. She is a cosmology professor that never expected her father to give her the team in the first place, let alone expect her to take over the reins. Even more surprising Scotty was evidently apart of the inheritance in a manner of speaking. Chloe feels that she might not be the person this teams needs as an owner but is sticking to her guns and keeping the team. The descriptions were well played. Everything from a breeze to being under the stars was well thought out and you felt like you were right there. The characters and their feelings were straight forward and you could definitely relate to everything that was going on. The perfect balance is what you will find with this read.Thrown By Love can be a standalone, but I highly recommend reading book one first. So dive into a little bit of baseball, love, and the cosmos and grab your copy today to find out if rumors and sabotage put an end to the blossoming relationship between Chloe and Scotty. You won’t be disappointed.

** Book received from author in exchange for an honest review. **Chapter 2 - I know I'm not that far in to it BUT awwww. I just want to squeeze Scottys cheeks! I love that he just did what he wanted (kissing Chloe) but without being arrogant about it... it's just the sweetest!Chapter 5 - There aren't many books that have done this to me, but I was crying like a biatch by the end of this chapter and considering I was sat at work having a sneaky read... It's hard to explain a random outburst. The End - *contented sigh* I don't know what it is about sports men in books, but they instantly make me drool. I thought I loved Alex... but I think I love Scotty more. You have to hand it to Alex and Chloe, the ride isn't easy or deemed acceptable, but regardless of that, they try not to let that stop them falling in love, regardless of how many times they try and deny it... Love wins out.Again, I never skipped anything in this book just like in book one which i'll admit on occasions i do that alot because some stories just drag out irrelevant blah but not these. This book i think is the first to make me cry twice though. Dad knew what he was doing, most dads do!And I want dibs on G'Maw.... she is amazing :)Looking forward to starting Fielders choice tonight. I love me a baseball player.http://bookgeekuk.blogspot.com

From the beginning I liked Chloe and Scotty and the chemistry they have between each other. Scotty is a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants and Chloe is a professor of Cosmology at Stanford. Her dad owns a rival baseball team, the San Jose Sabers. They meet at a charity ball and right away Scotty is crazy for her. Chloe has fun with him but then her dad ends their time together. A few days later, Scotty is blindsided by being traded to the Sabers. Chloe is dismayed because she knows that they can't ever have a relationship. When her dad unexpectantly dies and leaves her the baseball team, she knows for sure they can't be togher since she is the owner of the team and Scotty's boss. However, not matter what they do or decide, they can't seem to stay away from each other. Meanwhile, someone is trying to sabotage her team to make her look bad and force her to sell. Chloe tries her best to decide what to do and after seeing how much the fans in San Francisco miss Scotty, she decides that the best thing to do for their future is to trade him back. Before she can tell him about the trade, tragedy strikes Scotty during a game. Chloe has to deal with the tragedy, being blackmailed because of her relationship with him, and trying to keep someone from buying her team out from her. After his rehab and return to baseball, Scotty decides that he is not going to let their roles keep them apart and does something drastic to ensure he keeps her in his life. I am very satisfied with the ending and the letter that Chloe's dad left her explaining why he did what he did regarding Scotty was very sweet. I hope they show up in the other books in this series.

I found this book felt like a soap-opera, with the middle of the book being so much drama and fill-in. The book wasn’t bad, but it was not the kind of romance I prefer. For rating and review breakdown, please feel free to read my blog review of this book at:https://flidaisdail.blog/2017/05/17/t...

Hello Book Lovers! So I have another review for you, one that I didn't expect to be able to review till March. But the lovely and kind Pamela Aares sent me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And let me tell you, Thrown By Love was just as good as Love Bats Last, if not better. Thrown By Love is Book #2 in Pamela Aares' Heart of the Game series. Thrown By Love is Scotty's story, who you may remember from Love Bats Last. Scotty is Alex's Tavonesi's best friend and teammate. Scotty is a star pitcher who just got transferred to a new team, and team that Chloe McNalley just inherited. The brilliant cosmology professor never expected to be the owner of a baseball team, especially one that included Scotty Donovan. Sparks fly, tempers flare and forces try hard to keep these two apart. Once again Pamela Aares writing is absolutely flawless, she sets the scene well and develops incredible characters. What I love most is how she writes strong female leads. In book one Jackie is a super smart marine animal vet, and in Thrown By Love Chloe is a physics professor who ends up running a baseball team. I find in a lot of romance novels the women are a little bit more demure and don't take control as often. So it is a very refreshing change to have really strong female leads, who are smart, independent, yet still desirable. Another thing I have to mention again is the immense research that has gone into this novel. Like with Jackie and Alex's story there was a ton of scientific information that seemed completely factual. And I mentioned this in my previous review, but I love that Pamela Aares didn't just skirt around the science, she did actually divulge into it, not so much that it became boring but enough that it added integrity to the story. Not to mention her knowledge about baseball! I think her husband may work/have worked in baseball, there was a small mention of it at the end of Thrown By Love but I am not 100% sure, I will try and confirm with the author. Needless to say I feel like I have learned a ton about baseball even just reading these two books. As a reader you really get a personally insight into the inner workings of a baseball team, and everything that goes into it, and how just one bad apple can threaten a whole team. So Pamela Aares gets a solid 10/10 for facts and research and doing her homework which is so impressive from a reader's standpoint. There was one steam scene and it was amazing! It remained very classy but it was still super hot and very passionate. I feel like I actually know both Chloe and Scotty because the description and character development was so fantastic so I got really invested in the story and I was rooting for the HAE but I was also rooting for Chloe's success and for her to be strong enough to lead a baseball team. I couldn't imagine trying to corral that many men and deal with the press and everything else she had to handle. So once again Chloe is a super strong female lead which just makes me like the story even more!I have a new found appreciation of the cosmos after reading Thrown By Love, if it wasn't overcast and -20 tonight I would probably lay under the stars. There is a point in the novel where they discuss a theory about the universe and earth, and for that alone you have to read the book because it was truly awe-inspiring. It makes me see the universe in a whole afferent way.The scenery descriptions were absolutely on point, I felt like I was in Nebraska and in the stadium, and all of the different properties that she described. If you've read any of my previous reviews you know that perfectly balanced scenery description is the trademark of a great author in my opinion and Pamela Aares nailed it (pun totally intended :P) And similarly to Love Bats Last there is an undercurrent of mystery and drama throughout the book in regards to Chloe's teams GM, so it added a little something more to the story because there is mystery and suspense interlaced with a wonderful romance story. And as you will see in an upcoming review I have a thing where I like authors do discuss contraception because I think that matters. You may disagree but it a thing I have, can't explain it, I just like safe sex even if it's characters in a book. And blessedly Pamela Aares does mention condoms and I believe she did mention contraception in book one as well so she gets a gold star for that!So I give Thrown By Love a solid 5 smarty stars with a bonus star for the author being so lovely and writing such a phenomenal book. Thrown By Love will be available on March 6th so I will add the links as soon as it is available. The author was lovely enough to give me an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review and I cannot express my gratitude enough! Now mark March 4th on your calendar so you can buy this amazing book!I hope you enjoyed this review! Thanks for reading and a special thanks to Pamela Aares for the giving me the opportunity to read and review Thrown By Love!Peace, Love, and Cosmology Professors!- Lady Literary <3All opinions are my own. Please check out my blog for more reviews!

ARC Read: I really enjoyed this second book. I think what I loved the most about this story is it wasn't totally focused on baseball (although it's my favorite sport). Oh and yummy hot scenes too! A definite recommended read.

Note: A complimentary copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.Thrown by Love is book two of the "Heart of the Game" series and a self-contained follow-up to Love Bats Last, which I reviewed here and wherein we first meet Scotty.I enjoyed this a lot better than I did the first book, thanks in part to more interaction and, well, romance between our main characters. Scotty and Chloe share a kiss the first time they meet, and then later a team when they cross paths again. There's no denying the attraction between them, but acting on it spells trouble for their professional lives now that Chloe "owns" Scotty. You'd think fraternizing with a member of a rival team is bad, but a relationship between a player and an owner? Career suicide.Yet again, Aares immerses us in a world with her vivid writing. While there's still a lot of details that might be considered extraneous or excessive, I think it helps that the book is confined in Scotty and Chloe's shared passion for baseball and cosmology. It's nice that our hero this time gets to show off to his partner—Scotty is not your average jock, and his knowledge of the cosmos and the way his words affirms his passion evidently impress the academic Chloe. It's also nice to have the woman hold more power professionally and have more money. :DThat Chloe has practically grown up with baseball plays to her advantage as she struggles in her new role as team owner, but I think it's Scotty's humble, small-town beginnings that makes me appreciate their differences in status. And I love that baseball game they played with Scotty's family—it's heart-warming and fun.The intrigue is handled well, although I think some parts of it have been glossed over. At any rate, I find this a sweet, emotionally and intellectually satisfying sports romance. I'm looking forward to meeting the mom-shopping kid in the next book. :)

Just in time for spring training baseball! Here's the second book of the "Heart of the Game Series" by Pamela Aares. I love spin off series because we get to learn a little bit about the characters we fell in love with in book one. Alex and Jackie are doing well and helping our next love story along. Chloe McNalley meets Scotty Donavan at a charity event. They have an instant attraction and a very passionate kiss. They keep running into each other and they find they have a lot in common. They both love baseball. Scotty is a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants and Chloe's dad owns the San Jose baseball team. Chloe's a professor of physics and they both love Cosmology. That’s where the similarities end. Chloe is from big money and Scotty is from small town in Nebraska who’s made it to the big league. When Chloe’s dad passes away he gives her the team. She knows plenty about baseball and wants to keep her dad's dreams alive. Scotty was traded to her team, one of the last things her father did before he died. That puts a major hinder on their promising romance. Owner and player dating would not look good but they can't seem to stay away from each other. A blackmailer who catches wind of Chloe and Scotty’s relationship forces her hand to make some hard decisions. The question that keeps you reading to the end is will their love survive? Pamela writes another hot, passionate love story about a wealthy, intelligent woman who loves her career and how a sexy baseball player comes in and steals her heart away. Scotty’s small town family makes him even more attractive and you can’t help fall in love with them all. Even though Chloe and Scotty are from two very different worlds you cheer for them to find the happiness they deserve. This is a great read as we get ready for baseball season to start. Play ball! (And get reading)

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.I am so loving this series, I love the first book, but I don't know which one I am loving more, love the characters and love how the book turn out to be, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away. The story begging with Chloe, she is physics professor and she loves teaching, her father is always trying to get her to date, but with her career she don't have time for it, when she arrive at the charity ball for the marine biology, she spot her dad and he introduce her to Jackie, right than shows up Gage and Scotty, and Jackie introduce them, Chloe don't realize yet that Scotty is a baseball player.Scotty is the pitcher he loves his career, he is not ready to settle down, but he is getting tire of one night stand, and woman who are only with him cause of his career, but that all changes when he meets Chloe, after they are left alone he ask her to dance with her, that night the had a fun night, after that night comes the bad news about Chloe fathers, that's when she inherit the baseball team that her father own, and that's when she find out that Scotty is the new Pitcher of the team, they are rules that needs to be follow, and one of those rule is that she cant not get involved with the players, Would Scotty and Chloe cave into their feelings, or will the stick to the rules.I love and enjoy reading this book, love the chemistry that Scotty and Chloe have for each other, love it how they felt in love, I just love the book, Author Pamela Aares THANK YOU FOR THIS AWESOME CHARACTERS AND THIS AMAZING SERIES LOVE IT.

Thrown by Love is the second book in the Heart of the Games series and is just as good as the first. I really like Ms. Aares writing voice so I’m truly enjoying this series. It had me laughing out loud quite often. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good romance that involves sports. Professor Chloe McNalley loves teaching the physics class at the college, but her life is about to change drastically. She has just inherited the professional baseball team that her father owned and loved and needs to put teaching behind her for a while until she decides what she wants to do with the team. She’s grown up on the game, but can she give the team everything that it needs from an owner? And what should she do about the hot pitcher that she now owns? Pitcher Scotty Donovan has just been traded to the team that is now owned by the one woman that he could actually have a relationship with. They both love the game and share a passion for the universe, but there is no way that a player could date the woman who writes his pay check. It is so hard to walk away from someone that you share so much with that they decide to hide their relationship until a package is delivered to Chloe proving they were not as careful as they thought. Can they find a way to outmaneuver the blackmailer and be together without causing a scandal? Or will they lose the one person that will make their lives complete? I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 CocktailsTHROWN BY LOVE was a book that surprised me. It has the typical sports romance, that I enjoy, but it had super intelligent women who weren't intimidating and were immediately likable.Scotty Donovan and Chloe McNally meet at a fundraiser and immediately hit it off. She's a professor of Cosmology at Stanford and he's the Giant's star pitcher who happens to have studied astrology in college. But when Chloe's baseball owner father dies, leaving her the San Jose Sabers and their newest acquisition, Scotty Donovan, she finds herself in the position of following her heart or doing what's best for her father's team.I liked both the these characters right away. Scotty was a nice guy. Even when he thought he was using women, he was just too nice. He was just a guy from a farm in Nebraska living out his dream. It was hard not to fall for him. Chloe was equally as likable and you felt bad for the position she found herself in. Despite being surrounded by baseball for most of her life, she was torn about delving into that world and having to give us her teaching position. I give her credit for sticking with her father's wishes, even when that meant she might have to throw away the only man who's ever understood her. This was m first Pamela Aares book and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be picking up more books in this series. The romance was sweet and the couple had good chemistry, which kept me turning the pages.

WOW....these stories just keep getting better and better. Scotty and Chloe's story was even better. What makes baseball players so darn dreamy? Yeah, I get the whole athlete thing, but why are baseball players something more? (okay, okay...I'll stop drooling...lol)I love how Chloe and Scotty interact. They have this connection right from the beginning. Something that starts sort of innocent that transcends to something more; something real. I couldn't imagine having to go though the ups and downs these two go through. I found myself wanting to scream at both of them, but also I shared in their delights. I loved watching these to grow both in their professional and personal lives. Chloe has to deal with some tough stuff in the begging and I believe she dealt with everything with a natural grace that seemed genuine. I don't know how she did it. Scotty, you can't help but fall in love with not just the looks but the whole package deal. He is that middle America, boy next door. He's the boy/man you can't help but pull for. As I continued to read this story, I wanted to pull for these. With each story I read in this series, one theme keeps coming up. I love that Pamela Aares has strong female characters; they are refreshing. These women handle these star athletes with not only grace but with a bit of punch. I can't wait for more............Happy Reading!!!!

3.75 bumped up to 4 for baseball. Another sweet and fun read in the Tavonesi series by Pamela Aares. Scotty is Alex's best friend and in this book we get his HEA. Scotty is a pitcher for the Giants and has a great career ahead of him. One night he's enjoying a fundraiser for the Marine Mammal Rescue Center and meeting a very intriguing lady. The next he's traded to an American League team, the Sabers. There's only one hitch. Chloe is a cosmology professor at Stanford and definitely has her head in the stars. She really isn't comfortable at social functions and can't believe that her father, who she loves dearly, talked her into coming to the fundraiser for the Marine Mammal Rescue Center (heard that one before?). Before she knows it, she's kissing a hunky guy she just met in the alcove, her dad sees and is all smiles, and her world turns upside down. But, it isn't necessarily the kiss that turned it upside down. As Chloe and Scotty begin to think about pursuing a relationship they're thrown a curve ball and everything changes. I love baseball stories and this one has some interesting baseball stats which give the reader an insight into the complexity of the game. The characters are interesting and warm, dialogue is interesting and the story is entertaining. I'm off to the third book in the series..........

This was a great story to get into. This time around Pamela Aares has paired up a baseball player with its new team owner. As you could predict that right there is the first challenge these two need to get through to be together.I loved that they both fought their attraction but struggled whenever they found themselves close together. Which as you can imagine would happen often in this set-up. In time, they gave into their attraction only to be blackmailed because of it. I liked that Pamela Aares once again brought in the intrigue--keeping me guessing as to who was going to happen next and how it would affect Scotty and Chloe's relationship. But I can't help but think that some parts of the conflict were glossed over. After all of that, I would have loved to be shown what happened not simply be told what took place. This time around I didn't mind the author's detailed descriptions so much because I didn't feel they took away from the romance aspect of the story. I had enough interactions that I could definitely get a feel of the connection they shared. It helped that I liked Scotty and Chloe from the very beginning and could easily imagine them together as a couple. All in all, a mix of intrigue and romance with a few emotions thrown into it to round it all up!

Chloe is a College Professor teaching Cosmology. The stars and the universe her greatest passion. Also her life's devotion. No time for a social life or love...much to her father's dismay. Scotty is a top notch pitcher and is determined to make it in the big leagues. He's cocky and confident and when he meets Chloe at a fundraiser, his once well planned out life suddenly gets thrown for a loop.Chloe departs the function almost Cinderella like, leaving Scotty totally blown away. No woman has struck a chord with him, and for the days following Chloe is all he can think about. To top it all off he gets traded to another baseball team.So what else could possibly happen? Guess who the new owner of the team Scotty has newly joined? Chloe! Talk about awkward. Both Chloe and Scotty try to keep their distance, keep things professional. But nature and a whole sha-bang of chemistry can't keep them apart. Discretion is their priority until somebody starts to blackmail Chloe. Is their love over before can even start? How can they possibly make this happen with such obstacles? True Pamela Aares style, passion and love, drama and danger and as always a field of hot baseball players! All the bases are covered...this one's an easy slide into first!

Another awesome book in the Heart of the Game Series! The characters and the story were fantastic. Just as with the first book, I was immediately drawn into the story and couldn’t put it down. There are obstacles Scotty and Chloe have to overcome, some mystery/suspense, and of course love.I loved Scotty and Chloe. I’m a huge fan of science and astronomy so it was fun to read what the characters had to say on the subjects. It also doesn’t hurt that Scotty is a hot baseball play who is charming, sweet, and can dance. Not only do these two have to work on things between themselves but they also have to handle the outside problems. Both are strong people and I loved their personalities. They were easy to root for and I was eager to read more to see if they got their happily ever after. The story line was interesting and kept me glued to my tablet, eager to see how everything would play out. I love it when I can see how previous books’ characters are doing so I really liked how we got to see bits of Alex and Jackie (characters from book 1). This was a great book and I can’t wait to read book 3! 5 out of 5 stars!!

I received this book as a complimentary copy for an honest review. This is the first book I have read from Author Pamela Aares. This is the story of a woman, Chloe, who looses her father, her last living relative, and inherits a baseball team. I really liked how the relationship with her father and the loss of him was approached, it brought another detention to this story and made you love Chloe. She struggles with the grief and loss while falling in love with a man who is off limits. Scotty the pitcher of her baseball team is a sweet, sexy man who falls hard for Chloe and wants to find a way to be together. There are many interesting twists and turns in this book that kept my interest in the story. The struggles that are faced with the press and the many obstacles that are thrown in the way of having a relationship along the way made me keep turning the pages to find out what was next.I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

How would you like to meet that special someone? Only to find out, the relationship would be practically forbidden. That is what Chloe, and Scotty, have to face.Chloe was a very strong character, but like most women has some self doubts. Her dad's death, really changed her life all around. This author has a lot of knowledge about baseball, I was impressed. I didn't except such in-depth details and knowledge. It made the book so much more interesting to read.I wanted to kick Dick Fisher's rear end for Chloe. He was a total jerk. We were informed what she was going to do regarding him, but when it came down to it, we never actually "saw" that part. That kinda upset me. I wanted to know how that situation all went down.I did enjoy this book overall. I might actually read the others in the series ( when I have time)

WOW! If you thought the first book in Pamela Aares Tavonesi Series was good, you sure don't want to miss this one!I just love a romance that has suspense mixed in and the author does such a terrific job of developing her characters that the reader gets pulled into the story. Scotty and Chloe are both such wonderful people; they are kind, loving, sweet and yet they are from two completely different worlds.I love it when I get so pulled into a story that I can experience it with deep emotion. I laughed and cried almost throughout the second half of this book.Pamela Aares is a very gifted writer. Her character development is superb. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. You won't want to miss it either.

Great book 2 of the series. This one was more sports related (since both main characters are in the sports field) vs the first one.Loved the characters, the story line, loved everything about it really. The dialogue was great and the character interactions was really good. I loved how the main characters from book 1 crossed over into book 2. This was a multi pov book. Was this a hot, steamy, pantie melting sexy book...no...was it a sweet romance that could get your heart pumping and give you heart twinges...yes.I am so loving this series and have ended up buying all 5 of the books. Would I recommend this book? Yes!Would I read more from this author? Yep! Already emptied my pockets and bought all from this series.

Reviewed by Juliefor Read Your Writes Book ReviewsThis was a very good book. I'm not a big baseball fan but Thrown by Love makes me want to become a huge fan. Chloe McNalley inherits her father's baseball team, the San Jose Sabers, after he passes away. Chloe ends up falling in love with a player that her father purchased from the Giants named Scotty Donovan. They have a lot in common and find it very difficult to stay away from each other and stop their ever increasing attraction. Their story takes you on a wonderful roller coaster ride that you will want to keep repeating. It's a great love story for both Chloe and Scotty as well as baseball.Source: Author

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads and I am grateful! Chloe and Scotty had an instant attraction when they met. Then she inherited the baseball team on which he was a player and they both viewed this as a barrier to any kind of relationship. I really loved this book. Chloe and Scotty's story was full of heart. The words on every page conveyed to me how much they loved each other. The author has a clear and concise writing style which I appreciate. I will definitely read the other books in the series. As a matter of fact, I just purchased the first book of the series "Love Bats Last" on Amazon where the Kindle edition is currently just 99¢!

Received this book from the author herself. This book brought me so many emotions from love, sadness, bravery and scared. It goes to show that love can conquer anything, even go over people who will try there best to bring you down. The end of this book ended like a home run. Unexpected and with a thrill. I really enjoyed the forbidden love, but love always conquers everything. I really loved how Pamela wrote this story centralized with baseball. This was the first book I read about love and baseball. I recommend this book. It will have your emotions thrown in the game. Thanks Pamela for giving me chance to read your book and review.

The intuition plot line, setting (I love northern California and know the area so it is fun to read about), and that scene where (view spoiler)[Scotty throws caution to the wind and runs ahead of the plan Alex made with him to get Chloe back (hide spoiler)] were just enough to bump this up to 3 stars. Also, bonus points for them both being into cosmology.
